  1. My Roommates The people I live with. We're all cool with each other, but I know what people are thinking. So here's my rundown. Daphne Brooks. 21 (looks to be in her late twenties). Caucasian. 5'6". Robust figure. Hair stylist. Smokes like a chimney. Call me Toothpick in a friendly way, thinks I need to eat more. Wants Mark so badly, but doesn't think she has a chance. She's thinking about moving out, but pays the lion's share when Karen can't. Mark Hallow. 25. Black. 6'2". Body by Gym. Interns at the Albright Institute. Spends every moment of his life getting bigger. Though I was a child at first. Thinks I'm some kind of trap. Is nice to me anyway. Thinks Daphne is nice to him to a fault. He likes her as a friend. Is putting the moves on Karen. Karen Moon. 23. Causcasian. 5'4". Dangerously Curved Figure. Dancer. She takes pictures of everything she does. Can drink anyone under the table. Unfortunately, I know she's a witch without her knowing I know. Loves Daphne as a best friend, depends on her when she doesn't get paid. Thinks Mark is a show off. Might be grooming him for something.
  2. Moe had learned to deal with her superior's mispronunciation on her name. She was glad when he didn't call her Shorty. "Coming right up," she said dashing away from a table where people had just got their coffee. Theatre nights were the best for tips. Worst for customers. Pretentious artsy types gawking at the 'urban life'. Still they paid well when they paid. She was nice to them and endured their barbs about her height. Picking up the order she looked at the massive hunk of meat and then the ticket. Table was over there. Big guy. She wasn't fretting it. "Steak sandwich, sir. Can I get you anything else?" He was quiet, nodded to her, and started eating his food. Guess that's a no. Well, other hungry customers. And refills. Oh the refills on theatre night.

  4. The word 'hurt' reverberated through her mind. She didn't remember what happened to the gun-toting costumed. These past few weeks she had fed on an assortment of weak willed people. A junkie. Two wannabe convenience store robbers. A Westboro protester. Her confusion turned into fretting, her voice cracking, "I really don't know." She looked at her hands and then up to Sharl, "My mind mind begins to hurt and hunger." She crossed her arms, "I can hold it off for a while, but eventually I have to feed." And then she shouted, into tears, "I have to eat people's emotions." she cried into her hands. At least it wasn't blood this time.
  5. It was weird, he was there, but with the absence of psychic energy she couldn't really feel his presence besides seeing him. As he got closer, she noticed that he looked... was that a Wifi symbol? She held her tongue looking down. Not that it was funny. She was here to run away from herself. Some things just brought her a little bit of hope that there were better people than her. "I," she eked out before she stopping, "I'm sure you're used to things like this." She looked like she was collecting her thoughts, her eye color turning a confused yellow. "I have superpowers," she looked away from him and to the ocean. "I have the worst superpowers ever," she said in a lower voice, hanging her head again.
  6. A few weeks ago, maybe a month, Yamazaki Moe was sitting in her third period English class when her eyes started to bleed. Overwhelming psychic pain and hunger made her see everyone as a smorgasbord of emotions. She didn't want to do it! So she ran away as fast as she could. Everything after that was a blur. When she came to her senses, she was in an alleyway, standing over a costumed individual lying next to a huge gun. Her motorcycle was near by. There was guilt running through her mind. Even though the person was breathing. She had to get away from this city of heroes. Right now she was on the west coast. Oregon. Emerald City. Which, like Freedom, had a superhuman population. She wasn't going to stick around long. She didn't want a repeat of what happened in Freedom. Though this scenery, she might come back here when she had the time and money. Seriously, motorcycle from coast to coast was no joke on the pocket book. The sunset was beautiful. The weather was not blaring hot. It was perfect. Well, until she got hungry again. She could stave it off for now. A person - a hero? He had an insignia - appeared and she almost turned away until she saw something weird. He didn't have any emotions. Like he was psychically devoid of them. Her mind roiled a little, but it wasn't that bad. She looked up to the flying man, trying to figure out who he was. Maybe it was the slight pang of psychic hunger that made her not notice him. "Well, kind of. But I don't think you can help me. Or would want to help me."
  7. No one was paying attention to the small woman going through the crowd, so Moe had the time and made the effort to switch into costume. By the time she was done she was through the crowd. Two women were on stage Both very pretty, but not as pretty as the one she thought she saw outside. "Jeez, is every hero and villain in this town at least a seven," Sensus said as she made her way up to the stage. "Now, if you were smart, you wouldn't move. But I've heard reviews. You move very badly."
  8. Moe lost track of Wayward in the rush of things. Not that the small psychic vampire was to be noticed in this madhouse, she was just trying to fix things. The less of a mob this was, the better. Once the stampeding was down, she made her way into the building where the bad dancer was. She could have blended in with the crowd if she wasn't going counter to it. "Coming through, coming through," she repeated as she continued to calm people's psyche's down.
  9. Moe peered into the psyches of the mob, they were definitely scared. But this place didn't seem right, so this mob scene didn't see right. "Is that Wayward," she said to herself seeing the pop star helping out. If this were another time, she'd be thinking of her autographing something. But now she had work to do. As quickly as she could, she reached into the psyche of as many people of she could to calm them down. Not that this scene of chaos let her choose targets well enough, but she didn't hit Wayward. Making her way forward to the other hero as she cleaned up the messed up emotions, Moe waved. Wayward was one of those pretty people. Nothing wrong with that! She knew it was just a silly little crush. When she asked what happened Moe, still in her street clothes, piped up. "Some of them are being manipulated emotionally." She looked to Wayward with a smile, "uh, I enjoyed your last single." She went back to calming down the crowd with her control of emotion.
  10. Alright, I've put the feats in Powers, gave her some Notice (dropping some of the maligned high ranks!), and wrote up her bike.
  11. I mean the feats were meant to be psychic powers. Leadership, Inspire, Set-Up, and Teamwork are her using the feats with her mind. Should I put them in the power section then? I mean I have no other descriptor than "she manipulates psychically" Well Informed is her actually keeping tabs on things. Not psychic.
  12. Yeah, some of those feats could be powers, but I left them in their respective section. She's not a totally new hero at the moment. This is still her Year One though... near the end of it. She caught the psychic stuff a few months ago.

She didn't want her family to know so she scraped up enough money for a ticket to California and left one night never to return. Staying five years she got her citizenship. Moe was born on American soil, so she was born American. Haruka raised Moe as well as the young mother could. The two moved around a lot but eventually ended up on the east coast. Freedom City. Despite being full of heroes and villains, Haruka felt safe raising Moe there. Moe's life jumped around for her first bit, but when she got to Freedom, it was great and spectacular. She enjoyed the spectacular heroics happening every day. Even the small stuff. Of course, being the magnet of weirdness it was. Moe lived through invasions and several near apocalypses. But everything was fine in the end. Moe was very optimistic, even when she was shaken. During the past two years, Moe has been getting massive headaches. Little did she know this was her psychic potential waking in her. But it took a dark turn. She would unknowingly suck the fun out of everything to stop her headaches. She could feed on emotions to stop her pain. That happened every so often, but a few months it came to a head. During her classes, her eyes started to bleed from the pain of hunger. She was blind, but she could see everyone around her as an emotion and how much of it there was. She ran out of the class room before she hurt anyone. She hid away from the world, dropping out of high school and taking to the road. Eventually she found some stabilization, but something she realized, she needed to eat the emotions she saw or get grievous pain. She would feed on criminals and low-lifes until she found she could do more than just eat. She could control! Personality & Motivation Moe is an optimistic person, putting a positive spin on even the darkest moments. She can talk almost anyone into a better mood. She's motivated by a pure form of happiness. the better someone feels the better others feel! She's also motivated to be a hero due to her psychic powers. Powers & Tactics Anyone with a mind she can affect and feed on. She has to get in close for the feeding, but controlling emotion is anyone she can see. So she'll engage the opponent by talking to them, manipulating their mind. Once they're incapacitated and if she needs it, she'll feed on the emotions. An evil mystic had plans for ambushing a hero. Bert the Malefic wanted to get the jump on his archnemesis, Magic Mistress. So Bert the Malefic turned several giant snakes into humans with barely though sapience to obey him. And it was a success! Magic Mistress was surprised when the group of bystanders she was protecting turned into giant snakes. Magic Mistress beat off the snake armada and then Bert the Malefic. But Bert the Malefic wasn't going down that easy. Bert the Malefic took the snakes and formed them into one SUPER-SIZED snaked and then possessed it. Magic Mistress had just about enough of this and knocked Bert the Malefic out. The snakes and Bert the Malefic fell to the ground, but something went wrong. The snakes had Bert the Malefic's gift of sapience magnified and were able to turn back into humans. Unable to comprehend they fled the scene. Though one didn't. Anaconda reached out to Magic Mistress, not knowing how to speak, but asking for help. The first step in a journey of a thousand miles.
