  1. Okay! Full Action for the Autofire Blast 12 1d20 + 8 = 10 And Orokos finally strikes back! I'll spend the last HP to reroll that one. 1d20 + 8 = 12 , -> 22 Due to Reroll If that hits it's DC 27 + whatever Autofire adds!
  2. Yeah, the intention is to hit everybody. Green is the priority, but if possible hit the others too.
  3. It’d be a way to make an entrance! Just breaking through the ceiling. Cass wasn’t sure why this was a problem, the doctor wasn’t the thinnest, sure, but he didn’t seem like he’d be that heavy. Maybe related to his stretching? Cass would have to look it up after this was over, would probably be easy enough to find out things. Now it was time to get in somehow. Maybe case the place first? They still couldn’t be sure this was actually what they were looking after, so breaking through the ceiling probably wasn’t the best idea? Getting in would be easy enough for Bonfire, but he wasn’t sure about the others, they probably weren’t able to slip through a window. “Well, here we are. What now? Do we get in somehow, preferably not a whole in the ceiling? I can get in fast and clean, but what about the two of you?”
  4. I'll just go ahead and say it goes down, that's quite the Roll to beat! Speed up everything a bit too. Feel free to describe some fancy acrobatics and smashing! Afterwards it'll be Silver Spider's turn again, we can see wheter or not Azuth will show up during the next few days, otherwise I'll just have her attack something, in order to keep up the pace!
  5. I imagine one could, yes! Probably an acrobatics check. 25 is for something occupying a space, so I'd say ... DC20 since it's probably easy enough if you know how to. Yes, she can reach it! It's currently within movement distance of all of all the cahracters!
  6. And we get to the next turn! Blue Jay is up!
  7. PC Whoa, Mr. Inspector over there had some moves. Cass wasn’t sure wheter or not to count it as collateral damage, but it certainly was impressive. Maybe not the best thing to show up on the TV crew’s camera, they were following all of this quite closely, and Bonfire did in fact do his best to look impressive on camera. They were right in the line of fire, but this was their job, and Bonfire would not be the one to stop them for a variety of reasons. For now it was time to focus on the fight anyways. All these skeletons running around. Chasing after everybody. And teaming up around them, great. The one area where Bonfire’s Blasts(Not yet TM) would do even more harm than usual. Good luck trying to shape smoke around people in combat, no good idea. Fortunately enough, a pack was chasing after the swinging and kicking heroine that had taken out one of the bigger ‘saurs just before. And they hadn’t caught up just yet, perfect position for a blast. A quick thought later, and smoke appeared. And oh did it appear, rising up quickly and covering all the raptors. Three went down, two continued running. Ugh, bad. Not the best record. At least the smoke did look impressive enough!
  8. GM The huge dinosaur which had tried to attack the extraterrestrial Inspector had just been buried under an impressive pile of the rubble lying on the street. The street itself was now fairly cleaned up, if one was willing to ignore the debris scattered around and above a barely moving skeleton. It wasn’t quite destroyed yet, but it wouldn’t take much now. Meanwhile it’s sibling was still attacking a building, like it had been doing for a while now. By now it was easy to tell that at least one supporting part had been destroyed, chances were this building would simply collapse soon if the skeletal dinosaur wrecking ball would continue. The various raptors, some acting in packs and some alone, continued what they were best at, ganging up on somebody but failing to hit, or in the case of Dol-Druth, damage their opponents. They weren’t acting mindless anymore, but there was a distinct lack of anything beyond basic instincts. The TV crew continued to peek out from the roof, doing their best to not attract any attention by either the Skeletons or the heroes, failing massively at the latter. They did stand out, their cameras following all the action going on. This would certainly make the evening news if nothing else.
  9. The yet unharmed Ankylosaurus continues smashing a building, by now it's fairly beat up, close to collapsing! The other Ankylosaur cannot act this turn. The 12 Raptorswarm will group up on the speaker: Rolls 3 make the Aid Roll, so that's +6 for the Leader: 1d20 + 9 = 21 I believe that hits, so that's a DC19 Toughness Save Then 10 chases after Silver Spider, not reaching her. The 8 go after Blue Jay, same deal as before: Rolls 4 make it, it's a +8 ! 1d20 + 12 = 13 Yeah, that misses. Bonfire will attack the ones chasing Silver Spider due to lack of selective attacks, which means DC18 Reflex Saves for all of them! Rolls Which none make, so it's DC23s for them! Various more rolls All but the leader and one minion go down! Leader is staggered and stunned, too. 23 Blue Jay - Unharmed - 3HP 22 Silver Spider - Unharmed - 5HP 22 Raptor Swarm - Only leader remains, is bruised, closing in on the Speaker 21 Raptor Swarm - One Minion down, Leader staggered, 17 - The Speaker - Unharmed - 1HP 16 - Ankylosaur - Unharmed 15 - Ankylosaur - Staggered, Stunned 12 - Raptor Swarm - Unharmed, Around the Speaker 10 - Raptor Swarm - Unharmed, Leader Staggered, Stunned, only 1 minion remaining. 8 - Raptor Swarm - Leader bruised 1, attacking Blue Jay 0 - Bonfire - Unharmed - 2HP Okay, so that's the toughness save, then I'll make the posts real quick, adn then we can get to the next round!
  10. It hits just fine! And for the damage: 1d20 + 10 = 17 It fails by exactly 10, so it's Staggered and Stunned! Feel free to make the post! We can have him get reprimanded for damaging earth protery afterwards!
  11. GM The raptors which had not yet grouped up seemed to notice that fact. The leader which had its pack taken out before started screeching more than even before, by now the sound had become quite annoying to everyone involved, it always sounded the same. Afterwards, it started to run towards the Speaker, who was quite a distance away, meanwhile another pack suddenly started moving as a formation, and closing in on the Archer who had just taken out one of the bigger skeletons. They moved as a unit, circling, distracting, and then attacking. It didn’t make them faster, so dodging out of the way remained easy, but they certainly seemed more intelligent than when they were mindlessly attacking their surroundings.
  12. Okay, I've not seen Azuth around in a few days and for the sake of not having this thread die to pacing, I'll skip Silver Spider for now! We can give her an additional turn later on should it matter! The Raptor at 22 will run towards the Speaker, which will take all it's actions. The minions at 21 will move towards Blue Jay and attack, using Teamwork: Various Rolls Both make the DC10, so the one raptor that actually attacks directly will get a +4 on it's attack: 1d20+7 = 13 It misses, so nothing really happens. 23 Blue Jay - Unharmed - 3HP 22 Silver Spider - Unharmed - 5HP 22 Raptor Swarm - Only leader remains, is bruised, closing in on the Speaker 21 Raptor Swarm - One Minion down, Leader staggered, stunned 17 - The Speaker - Unharmed - 1HP 16 - Ankylosaur - Unharmed 15 - Ankylosaur - Unharmed 12 - Raptor Swarm - Unharmed, all gathered around it's leader 10 - Raptor Swarm - Unharmed, all gathered around it's leader 8 - Raptor Swarm - Leader stunned, bruised 1 0 - Bonfire - Unharmed - 2HP The Speaker is up!
  13. Yeah, Cass is fine with that for now. (Are Negative Hero Points a thing? )
  14. Okay, heat ... calibrated. Flames ready and it was time to burn. Thanks to the fall Cass had been removed a fair distance from the action, but with a skill-set like his that wasn’t really a bad thing. He preferred being outside the line of fire, and create his own one instead. But for now …. Everybody was standing apart. Couldn’t hit all of them with the same attack. And just hitting one would mean that somebody else would start fighting him too. Essentially, everybody was fighting everybody, and just attacking one person is a bad thing to do in situations like those. You gotta hit everybody, or nobody. Usually, Cass tried to keep his fireballs fairly controlled. Avoids collateral damage and makes them easier to control. Probably not what was called for in this case. There was one thing… He’d never done it in a combat situation before, and it would lead to quite a lot of destruction around him. Then again, the entire place had just been flooded with collant gas, and multiple people were destroying the area too. No need to hold back in a situation like that. It was sort of like shaping smoke, what he usually did. But with fire. A lot more difficult to control, a lot more explosive. Just create a small bubble, and make it burst. Focus, then let it go. Next to Green, for added effect. And then, kaboom. Fire covering the entire area the others had been fighting around. This was it, this was power. No need to hold back in a place like this, just pure power.
  15. Using a full action for : Blast 10 ( Personal Erupting Volcano; Area: Explosion, Flaw: Full Action, Drawback: Power Loss [When not in Fire Form] [-1] ) origin point of the explosion would be next to Green. So that's .. various saves depending on the distance. (Why did I take this again? Makes it so complicated!)
  16. PC Wow. Cass had expected a few agents, yes, but not a bi-pedal tank. Probably remote controlled, but maybe it actually had a pilot inside? Either way, it and it’s colleague, a much more classical agent, were here on a mission. And since they didn’t want to arrest Bonfire … just yet … why not help them? Best case they’d leave him alone, worst case he could still defend himself in jail. But a few moments to consider his words were needed either way. Hundreds of millions? Wow, nuclear reactors were worth more than Cass had considered. He actually was a bit proud of this, certainly put him higher up on the Collateral Damage Ranking than many upstart heroes. But, wasn’t that a bad thing? Probably, especially in a situation like this. The capnokinetic took a few steps forward, his head just a tiny cloud of smoke now. Partially because it looked less aggressive, partially because of energy conversion. “Yeeeah, the Neutron Incident. Well, shutting down the entire East Coast’s power network wasn’t part of the plan at all, I can tell you that. But as it turns out, adding unstable nuclear materials to an already somewhat unstable Nuclear reactor causes some … complications. I think if I had actually known how much I’d shut down I’d have thought of a different way, but in between getting chased by mercenaries and laser robots I kind of acted in the heat of the moment. And that reactor was my best chance at shutting those … people down. It didn’t really work considering they started sending bounty hunters after me…. “
  17. And once again, everything passed really slowly. Nobody listened, everybody continued fighting. And Green raised his gun, firing at the stairs. Okay, they were crumbling, but slowly, surely there’d be enough time to simply dodge to the side. All Cass had to do was get rid of the ice. It couldn’t be that difficult. But struggling didn’t help. The ice continued to be, well, frozen, and kept him frozen in place. Everything was falling, including Cass. He hadn’t fallen in quite a while, usually he flew. Wasn’t that different, the feeling of weighless-ness. But usually he was in smoke form, and able to fly. Which he wasn’t right now, the ice had frozen that too. And this was quite the drop. This kept getting worse and worse. Falling, down a stairwell. He’d been warned about this before. But back then it hardly meant having the stairs crumble underneath you, while a reactor was going off further up. Any everybody was fighting around you. It had to be possible to slip back to smoke, it wasn’t this difficult usually. Actually, this wasn’t the time for smoke. Nobody was listening, so Bonfire had to get flashier. Igniting now was dangerous, it took some time, and Cass wasn’t sure how much time he had until somebody would have to scrape him off the floor. It was a risk, but really, these people. This was the best chance to get through to them, through fire, more fire, and even more fire. Falling, Bonfire tried to ignite. Just a spark. Just a tiny spark and he’d be fine. It took a try or two, but right before he would’ve crashed, his arms finally caught fire. And together with them, the rest of his body, leaving a bit of a burn mark at the walls close to him. He was fine however, fire didn’t care about things like falling damage. And now it was time to heat up the situation.
  18. Okay, 2 HP for Fire-form it is!
  19. PC Cass had been waiting in this bar for a while now. Still nobody showed up, it was getting a bit strange. For the time being he’d started to inspect the bar’s decoration. It was themed after submarines. Pictures of submarines, especially ones from WWII hanging on the walls, a few medals inside a display hanging above a table in a corner. The most interesting thing probably were the torpedoes hanging above the counter. Clearly fake, clearly not made of metal. Interesting to see either way. Just as he was about to take a closer look at the establishment’s bathrooms, a voice buzzed through outside. … American Elite Government Intervention Service? Cass had definitely heard that before, but where? Maybe the acronym would make more sense? AEG- oh, them. Yeah, Cass had expected the government to take issues with what he had done. It had been rather quiet, they had been to busy dealing with the Biblical Plagues incarnating in various members of society, but now that was over, here they were. And they hadn’t crashed through the ceiling without announcing themselves, so they had some kind of plan beyond just arresting him. Maybe arrest him more subtly? He’d see soon enough, this was the government he was dealing with. They’d have planned for him trying to escape, no reason to even try. So he walked over to the door, and unceremoniously opened it. Sure, he could’ve left through the window, but he was trying to conserve what little energy his body had left in case he’d actually have to escape. Great. Bonfire, Superpowered Terrorist on the run. “Greetings.”
  20. 1d20+6 = 8 And he falls! So, for the surging: You mentioned fire-form, but that's a full action, I can't surge twice, right? Otherwise I'd probably do that and spend 2 HP for it, I suppose Depends on what you say!
  21. hope that's nopt doing too muhc considering bonfire's dazed, in case you feel like he acted too much tell me and i'll edit the talking out
  22. So cold. So cold. Being surrounded by snow was nothing compared to this. This was actual cold. And the fact that now Bonfire was standing around in just his underwear didn’t help. It wasn’t exactly warm to begin with either, but usually his body dealt with that. Not so right now. Oh, and Marie had also seen his face. There went two days of excurcating amounts of coffee consumption, all for nothing. Great. The body’s natural heat output was starting to fight against the cold, moving was once again possible, only in small amounts however.. There was something. Bonfire was no longer locked out of doing anything! The cold had certainly left it’s impact, left it’s damage. But he could move again, even if just slowly. And not enough to really accomplish anything, maybe apart from talking. And then the detector went off. Had Green really ….? Cass continued to be amazed at how this man was able to keep his position. All of this, Neutron certainly didn’t care, did they? This was bad. Another blast of radiation? At some point the sheer amount of radiation would become dangerous, and that point had been a long time ago. If this thing went off everybody in this stairwell would be in danger. So Bonfire, still standing there in just his underwear, still completely human, raised his voice. “Green, you idiot! That hose was still hooked up! The reactor’s gonna blow, everybody get out of here now! We can continue fighting outside if we really have to!”
  23. So far so good. Marie now liked him even less, but at least she was still somewhat safe. Not too much combat so far, maybe he’d still have time to figure out something. There had to be some way to get through this. Maybe talk to Green, distra- And then it was cold. Really, really cold. Like, colder than Cass had experienced before. And he’d spent a day outside during winter with nothing but a t-shirt once! This was bad. This was really, really bad. Bonfire was notoriously weak to Ice, and obviously he had to have jinxed himself. He had to have mentioned Ice-Guns. It was so clear, this was what he got for being a more or less criminal. Bonfire was unable to move. IT was so cold, he felt like frozen. Could smoke even freeze? Was that even possible? Then, he noticed it. The smoke wasn’t just freezing, it was his flesh too. The mix of gas and cold must’ve done something to him, because he couldn’t hold up the smoke form. He was turning into flesh again. Oh great, not only was he more exposed if that was the case, he’d also be wearing nothing but some underwear. Not even a mask, these people could see his face. Before, this situation had been really bad. Now it was really bad, and embarrassing! Oh, and dangerous of course.
  24. 1d20 + 10 = 15 Reflex fails, hooray! So, Damage: 1d20 + 10 = 21 Oooof, I think I prefer to keep my HP and just hope the next round goes better..... So, Stunned and Bruised, right? And for the Paralyze: 1d20 + 7 = 25 Well, it's something! So I guess since Bonfire's stunned he can't really do anything?
  25. Okay, Free Action: Set up the Forcefield Standard: Turn to smoke-form Move: Move away from the other two, preferrably into a position where Green cannot get a direct line of fire towards him.
