olopi
You are, you are! I haven't had as much time as I wish I'd had, but I hope I'll be able to get to the response (and sooner or later conclude it) soon! Link to comment
olopi
Soph, feel free to decide if Ethan shows up in the AMP or not, I deliberately left it open how he arrives. If there's any questions (which there might be considering the time-cut), just ask and I will respond ASAP! Link to comment
Blarghy
We should probably decide on our plan before going further (I figure that Ethan and Warne should've talked it out on the way, too). I don't see how you could bring that huge mech into the building, not without being provoked first, so I believe we have two options: either send in Adept alone with Upgrade waiting in the sky to provide backup in the (likely) event of trouble (which would make him miss out on any dialogue with Greene), or come in without the suit. Could we have it brought along with a separate vehicle, presumably towed in a trailer, so that if a fight breaks out, Ethan can run to it? Maybe that'd even count as a Complication, giving you a hero point. Assuming that our target doesn't just come along quietly, of course. Link to comment
Sophistemon
That works for me. Heck, presumably Ethan could fly it down and park it in the lot -- that'd make an impression, for sure. Link to comment
olopi
Both of those options work for me, yeah. If it's in a seperate vehicle, that's probably gonna give you an HP, if you park it it'll be closer but you'll miss out on that. (But get style points!) Link to comment
Sophistemon
Alternatively, we could do a repeat of the earlier meeting and have Ethan keep the AMP up high, out of sight, and ready to swoop down and engage if necessary. That'd put Warne in there alone, though; I'm not sure how I feel about that. Scratch that; I'll park it in the lot and put the fear of God and/or Uncle Sam into everyone. olopi
okay, short timeskip here. I wasn't sure if Bonfire was with them, so I just left him out of the scene for now, but if he is then I can just add him in, up to you to decide! Link to comment
Blarghy
So to clarify, is our warrant just for questioning, or are we actually here to arrest Green? I believe that Becker said it was a "basic" warrant, yes? I don't want to misunderstand and cause an incident, however in-character that might be. Link to comment
olopi
It's questioning, to figure out if anything the Gas Man said is correct. Of course, if it is, then you can probably act a bit further! Link to comment
Blarghy
Hmm, alright. Then if Bonfire isn't with us (could he be waiting in the car with Becker?), can I make a Bluff check and have Adept imply--without actually lying about it--that they're here to talk about Bonfire's attack on Neutron, giving Green the impression that we're on his side, and could perhaps be manipulated, thus hopefully making him incriminate himself? I doubt that the guy will outright say that he falsified a federal warrant if we ask, but he might hang himself if we give him the right kind of rope. Link to comment
olopi
Sounds good! Yeah, Bonfire is probably waiting in the car. Link to comment
olopi
Cons of having a thread run this long: You forget about details. Like the fact Bonfire actually attacked Neutron twice. Considering there only were about 20 hours between the two attacks, let's just lump them together! Link to comment
olopi
Okay, anything you'd like to still handle in this thread, or should we sloly move towards wrapping it up? Link to comment
Sophistemon
I don't want to speak for Blarghy, but I'm prepared to move on to the next stage of the story. Link to comment
Blarghy
We can move on, yeah. Are we concluding this, or do you want to keep it going? I'm willing to use Green to get at his bosses, unless he's the core of the Neutron conspiracy. Or maybe we could investigate the Horned Dragon business, if you'd rather do that. Link to comment
Sophistemon
Those were my thoughts more or less exactly. Well put, Blarghy. Link to comment
olopi
I personally feel like moving towards conclusion, this has been going on for ages already, and I feel like if we'd wanted to we could drag it out to last another few years, but I feel like wrapping it up might work better. Link to comment
Blarghy
That's fine. No reason that we can't all work together again eventually. Bonfire seems like he gets in trouble often enough to keep drawing attention from AEGIS. Link to comment
