"Hey!" Michael yelled, like he'd done before, at Baz and Lawrence getting fire and iceballs thrown at them. Lawrence was fine, somehow- he wasn't exactly sure what was up with Lawrence, or maybe it was more he wasn't clear just how strong his fellow student was, but he knew he was scary-, but he was really sick of people bullying Baz. Enough that he slammed down on the Bull/Scorpion Creature with way more force than he intended to, cracking the concrete under it as he brought his fists down on the stunned creature's head, but it seemed to not do as much as he was hoping. So instead he turned his attention away, his eyes glowing red and his voice deep with anger and rage.

 

"Leave him alone!" he snarled as he once more took a place in front of the bug student. "...Don't worry, I'll keep him safe." he said to Timeout as he hovered protectively around Buzz.

Lawrence looked at Baz as the other teen took the brunt of one of the combined creature's attacks and seemed a bit out of sorts. He momentarily considered healing Baz, but for the moment things did not seem to serious, so the Blond teen focused back on the several enemies that were facing them.

 

Michael had chosen to go attack the one that Lawrence had already stunned, but trying deal with one was likely a good idea. Thankfully, FX had decided to stay near Lawrence and Baz, while the two large creatures were close enough.

 

So, Lawrenc once again released a burst of temporal energy that radiated out in all directions, harmlessly washing over Baz and Michael, while trying to target their enemies. Unfortunately, FX and the Swan/Scale creature were able to weather the effect, but the Bull/Scorpion creature did not do as well.

"Not this time! Not this time you...you cheater!" FX yelled as he got out of the way of the bubble that had so easily dispatched him before, or at least let Buzz do it. The Bull Creature continued to buckle, but the Swan numbly ducked aside as well, as if it was aware of what those bubbles did.

 

The white wearing teen stuck back with super speed, lashing out in wisps of white and gusts of wind as he bounced between each of the three teens with a flurry of punches before speeding off down the street. "You stay far away from me!" He yelled as he disappeared down the block.

 

Meanwhile, the half Swan, Half Scales creature shot another pair of fire and ice balls, both aiming at Baz, but Michael punched them away, keeping his friend safe.

Gamma Buzz

 

"Oof! I got ya!" said Baz, as he got clipped by a punch. "Bet you bruised your knuckles pretty bad on my kidneys, huh?"

 

He had felt the punch hit his abdomen, and felt his organs protest. 

 

Nevermind! He told himself. I'm Gamma Buzz, Baby!

 

With an elegant backflip, he landed on all fours, crawling like a true insect. 

 

"Witness my incredible atomic breath, you villains!"

 

That sounded like a cool statement. Were they villains? He didn't know. But they were close enough. Close enough to warrant an blast of atomic breath. 

 

He inhaled, held his breath for a second, letting the atomic fires in his thorax fester, heat up his insectiod lungs, and then with a mighty breath let out a stream of glowing green atomic particles!

As Gamma Buzz hit the ground, FX called out to him.

 

"What the heck!? Don't tell me you're giving up bug boy!" He yelled from down the street. Then Buzz's poison radiation launched out! And it washed over the Swan/Scales creature, and it immediately gurgled and bent over, retching as it was irradiated! The other creature seemed utterly unconcerned though, but it was still being completely locked down by Lawerence; it was struggling immensely. But it was built like a semi-truck, and when Golden Star went to punch it, he might as well have hit a semi-truck, basically bouncing off of it as the creature didn't even move.

"Stupid, wait, sit...still!" Michael wasn't really hurt by the dashing fists, in fact he barely even felt them, but he couldn't get his hands on the speedster, and then the guy ran off again, leaving him in the dust. He almost went after him, and in fact was two feet towards him before he realized he couldn't abandon Baz like this, so he turned around and swung his fist into the bull creature. The off-balance swing did absolutely nothing to it, and Michael slid backwards from the force of his own blow, staying near Baz to keep him safe. But he was jonesing to go after that annoying guy.

Lawrence only gave a small smile as FX called him cheater as the Starblight managed to avoid Lawrence’s attack. He still seemed unnerved by the last encounter with the Claremont student, but the blond teen was not going to let that make him overconfident. For one thing, there were still the giant monsters that had somehow been summoned to deal with.

 

When FX launched his attack against all three Claremont teens, it seemed almost as if he were going to land a punch on Lawrence, but just at the last moment, a temporal distortion surrounded Lawrence, and then he was standing just slightly to the side, causing FX to miss before speeding off, yelling at the blond teen to stay away from him.

 

Glancing about to see both monsters were currently incapacitated, Lawrence decided to take a moment and help Baz with the hits he had been taking. Another pulse of temporal energy radiated out from the blond teen, this time only focused on Baz, who felt his injuries all fade away is if they were never there. "Common Gamma, lets focus on taking down one of these monsters, then we can deal with FX."

"And now you're healing him!? You're absolutely the lamest guy ever!" FX yelled. Why was he so loud that they could hear him from so far away? Was that part of his power? He snarled.

 

"You know what! Fine! Let's change this! ECLIPSE, GIVE ME SOMETHING ELSE!" He yelled at the beam of light coming out of the theater. A star fell down from the sky towards him, and he grabbed it. "This will work!" he declared as he crushed it in his hand.

 

White changed to a burning red; not the color of Libra, closer to a crimson than a bright red. The symbol of the ram changed to that of a furnace and a fireball, the constellation of Fornax, the brazier, the furnace, the alchemical alembic. He raised his hand up to the sky.

 

"Now! WHOOSH! BURN!" and he threw his hand forward. Magical power from the star mixed with his own powers; two effects combining in concert to cause a massive, roving meteor to drop out of the sky directly on top of the group, including the monsters. It crashed into the ground in an explosion of force and fire, washing over the area.

Gamma Buzz

 

"You got it, La-timeout!" shouted Baz over the sound of a fall meteor. 

 

"Wait! That looks big!" he said, his red eyes curling upwards. "I mean, really big. And fast. And quite dangerous. Why are the sky gods chucking their junk down on us!"

 

With a whipping spinning cartwheel, he jumped out of the way, landing on all fours in an elegant pose, his eyes emitting a scorching beam of GAMMA VISION. 

 

"Whooooa! That made me dizzy!" he complained, the laser eye beams crossing, diverting, and wobbling in unison with his dazed eyes that could not quite keep up with the ridiculously spinny manuever and the fact that a meteor had just exploded pretty much right next to Baz. 

 

He shook his head free of the spins and started to glow and angry green!

 

"And thats just for starters!" he yelled. "I mean, I missed just to give you a chance!"

Michael was fast, but not evasive, and with a meteor baring down on him he couldn't do much besides grit his teeth and take it. It scorched his skin as it cracked on his back when it impacted, leaving burning craters around t e area as he glowered, smoke and burns scorching his costume and his face and arms. Then he had to move out of the way at Baz's blasts of radioactivity. 

 

The Golden Boy took a deep breath like he was about to yell at Baz, but stopped; that wasn't appropriate for a leader. He needed to think about this from a leader's perspective. What would a leader do. Unleash his rage on something else, that's what.

 

He let out a roar from deep in his throat at the bull next to him and brought his right arm down, his entire arm glowing bright golden. It impacted the skull of the beast, and drove it into the ground, and he kept swinging with the momentum, until the ground cracked underneath it, followed by several buildings nearby shifting. When the dust settled, Michael's right arm was bloody and the creature was sprawled, unconscious, on the ground. He turned his attention to the annoying guy immediately, glowering down the street at him before turning to Baz.

 

"Buzz! Come here! I'm going to give you a first class ticket to punch that annoying guy in the face, as soon as he launches another fireball!" he called, extending his hand.

As the enraged teenager brought his arm down on the bull, the ground shifted under them, cracking pavement and sending the already abused ground into fits. The bull at the center of the blow went down like a ton of bricks, crashing into the pavement and sinking deep into it as the punch made a sinkhole in the ground.

When the dust settled, there wasn't a bull anymore; instead, the Taurus and Scorpio Starblights were sprawled unconscious in the crater where the bull had been, their magical vestments dispersed and their energy- in sparkles of pink and green- floating back up to join their constellations.

 

That meant the other one had to also be the Cygnus and Libra, twisted into monstrosities, presumably by Eclipse, given the control she seemed to have over their power source right now.

Lawrence smirked slightly as FX yelled about his healing Baz’s injuries. The other teen was certainly seeming to let Lawrence get to him, from doing all he could to avoid being too close to getting upset about Lawrence reversing any injuries that had been inflicted.

And then FX pulled out what appeared to be a new trick, sending a flaming ball of fire down at the trio. A temporal rippled swept over Lawrence as the explosion reached him, and when it had passed, the blond teen was standing there completely untouched by the shockwave or flames.

 

And then Baz did the exact opposite of what he had suggested, shoot his laser beam at FX instead of the creature near them. Thankfully Michael focused on it, delivering a powerful blow that knocked it out and cause it to revert back to two of the Starblights.

 

So Lawrence turned toward the last creature near them, holding up a hand as he released a smaller burst of temporal energy, only focused on the creature and bypassing his friends. But once again, the creature was unaffected by the attack…

"Take another meteor, losers!" FX yelled as he swung his hands down again. He was clearly overloading the suit; it strained and whisps of shimmering stardust escaped it as he brought down another massive meteor onto the group, not caring about the collateral damage and being more than willing to attack his own allies as long as he thought that he could knock out the others.

 

The Swan-Scale creature was clearly about to do something, barely hanging onto itself even as it did so, but instead the giant meteor crushed it underfoot, lighting some of it's feathers on fire as it was smashed by the physics of a burning meteor, and whatever it was going to do was snuffed out.

As the meteor came down on him, Michael took the brunt of it to the face again; he just wasn't fast enough to get out of the way. and this one hurt bad, scorching him. He wanted to give it up for just a second. 

 

But what kind of Hero would he be if he did? So he grit his teeth as the meteor exploded around him and his friends, and as the smoke cleared, even as he was getting over it, he had seized Buzz by the back of the collar and with all his might, hurled the bug guy down the street directly at FX.

 

"HIT HIM ONCE FOR ME!" he yelled as he let go and Buzz went flying through the air at tremendous speed!

"You bet! Wheeeee!" yelled Gamma Buzz as he flew through the air with the greatest of speed. 

 

This is great! Must be what flying is like! Whizzing through the clouds, not a care in the world! Watching the scenery go by! Amazing!

 

Wait....

 

Wasn't I meant to be doing something!

 

Whoopsie!

 

Baz drew his fist back at the last moment.

 

KER-POW!!!

 

It was true, he hit his target. It was more of a collision than a punch and ended up with Gamma Buzz spinning through the air and landing anwardly on his head. Although he did spin elegantly like a break dancer. 

 

And his fist did connect, with with the force of a hurled cockroach-kid!

Lawrence smiled slightly as Michael and Baz teamed up so the former could hurl Baz at FX. The radioactive teen slammed into the villainous speedster and sent him sailing once again, crashing into a wall further down the street.

The blond teen then turned back towards the remaining creature that was a combination of two of the Starblights, which was reeling from the attacks FX had hurled down on it. Raising his hand once again, another pulse of temporal energy erupted out from Lawrence, slamming into the creature and slowing it some, while also striking some of the other monsters that were in the area.

Baz hit FX hard! Harder than hard! He smashed into him so hard that the other teen went flying again, crashing into a set of metal newspaper stands and landing on his back.

 

"O...ow..." he said, very confused and very hurt, barely able to get up to his feet. "Alr..right. Let's try this again. You and me, Gamma Buzz." FX said as the teen slowly straightened, raising his fists up to try and goad Baz into a fist fight. He might have had a bloody nose and bruised ribs, but he was ready to try and brawl with Gamma Buzz one last time.

 

Then the light coming out of the theater changed. The Violet line shattered like shards of fallen glass, and then a much stronger black beam burst from the theater, tainting half the sky with darkness; the Southern Constellations shifted; they stopped shining in bright, primary colors, instead each star was being infested with a twisting blackness; turning the shades darker and darker. The creatures that Lawrence was managing to keep at bay with his powers were mutating; the new ones were becoming less and less human, more like the creatures that they had been fighting, Fallen Stars.

 

The Stone was starting to shift, and at the edges of the sky the three teens could see the ruminating, shifting sky of a different world, slowly trying to take over the one that already existed.

 

Meanwhile, the Fallen Star was finally caught, even for just a second, in Lawrence's time bubbles, while FX faced down Buzz with the heart of a champion.

Gamma Buzz

 

Gamma cracked his knuckles. "Get ready for some Cockroach Crunching, hombre!" he said to FX. 

 

With a side step here, a side step there, and an elegant cartwheel (thanks to his amazing cockroach agility), he danced around his opponent, turned, and drove his fist into his enemy. 

 

"Take that!" he yelled. "Woohoo! I hit him! Did you see that, everybody?" he asked, casting his eyes around to his allies. 

 

"I punched him! With my fist! How about that?"

 

He glowed a proud shade of radioactive green at his acomplishment.

"Nice going Buzz!" Michael yelled down the street. Then he looked upwards as the sky started to shift and twist.

 

"...That doesn't look so nice anymore though." he mumbled. "I think the sky is falling down." he looked at Timeout with concern momentarily, but remembered he was in the middle of a battle, so he focused on his jabs and lighter footwork that he had tried to learn from Crimson Tiger, finally landing a blow on the hard to pin down Fallen Star. "...I really hope the others are managing well."

 

Both of the opponents looked quite battered at this point, hanging on only because they had no ability to leave.

Lawrence was feeling rather badly for the creature facing him and Michael at this point, or more accurately, the two Starblights which where apparently trapped inside it. Hoping to take it out of the fight without it having to continue to be beaten on by Michael or its own supposed ally (although FX was not looking like he was very long for this fight either).

 

The blond teen sent another pulse of temporal energy at the creature, and while it hit, the creature managed to resist the effect.

If nothing else, these creatures were remarkably resilient, and possibly nothing else. Gamma Buzz hit FX square in the mouth, and he was dazed enough that he couldn't do anything but straighten back up, but he raised his fists again. Meanwhile, the Starblight was managing to avoid Lawrence again, but only with tremendous effort as they continued to try and focus.

 

"Come on...again!" FX said as he stood up, pulling back his fist to try and strike at Baz again!

"Not so fast, sucker!" said Baltazar, wagging his finger at FX. 

 

"You forget! I have amazing cockroach agility!" he declared, cartwheeling one way then somersaulting the other. 

 

"And amazing cockroach strength!" he added, backflipping, the forward flipping. 

 

The driving a glowing green fist into Fx's head. 

 

"And cockroach radiation! Wait... thats just me isn't it? Not normal cockroaches. Anyway, its pretty amazing! KER-POW!" he shouted, pleased with the way FX blocked the cockroach knuckles with his face. 

 

"Gamma Buzz, Baby!" he yelled, firing a quick burst of green laser vision beams into the sky to celebrate.

With a radioactively strong punch, Gamma Buzz landed a solid blow directly into FX. The other kid stumbled back, his magical uniform fraying into stardust at the edges before collapsing entirely, leaving him in what looked more like a military school uniform with it's black base and red stripes, a patch on his shoulder with the greek letter alpha. He looked like he was going to raise his fists again, but instead he swayed on his feet and fell backwards, collapsing on his back.

 

"...Alright...you know what?" he said weakly. "...You're pretty cool, Gamma Buzz. I'm still cooler, though." he finished before he passed out. 

 

At about this time, Lawrence had finally managed to wrangle the last Fallen Star into a posistion where he could drop a bubble onto it, finally knocking it out and splitting it into the two girls he had seen at the Amusement park a few days ago. All of the highly dangerous creatures had been dealt with in the area, now it was just a matter of hoping that the ones inside the theater could handle whatever was going on in there.

"Great work Gamma." Lawrence called out to his roommate when he managed to take down FX (again). "Can you go get him and bring him over here so we can try to keep an eye on him so hopefully he won't slip away again."

 

He then moved over towards the two Starblights that had been returned to normal after the creature had been dealt with. The blond teen checked to make sure they were breathing normally and for any signs of obvious injuries before looking over to Michael.

 

"Can you bring the other two that were part of that other creature over as well. We should make sure they are all okay. Then we can figure out what we are going to do with them."

Gamma Buzz

 

"Hey, I did it!" said Gamma Buzz, eyebrows (or what passed at eyebrows raised. "I can't believe it, I actually did it! I..."

 

He looked around, and his antannae quivered at the realisation he a/ had an audience, and b/ was speaking out aloud. 

 

"I mean, I can't believe I did it in so awesome and cool a manner! I mean I knew I would do it, because Gamma Buzz baby. And obviously I would do it in an awesome and cool manner. To the max. But somehow I did it even more awesomer and cooler than even I could believe. And thats the unbelievable part. Not that I would do it. No, that was always absolutely certain. There mere thought I would not to it, hahaha! Makes you chuckle, eh?"
 

"And I am cooler than you!" he sneered at FX. 

 

"Ill go get em!" he said to Lawrence, bouncing (with cockroach legs) away to pick up the other two (with cockroach strength).
