  1. Init 24-Flora 20-Glowstar 18-TK 16-Dragon 1 ice 15-Wisp 14-Mystery 12-Crow 8-Johnny 4-Dragon 2 fire Notice checks over 20 will notice that the portal shimmered and rippled BEFORE the first dragon exited. Notice checks over 25 will notice that the dirt of the tournament floor is being kicked up as if someone is there even though no one appears to be walking on it. Notice checks over 30 will notice both of the above and that the dragons seemed to be watching said kicked up dirt before they panicked. We're still waiting on Ozob, I'll give him until Thursday to get an init in. Gwen is using her action to change.
  2. Gwen put her bookbag down, several of the Vines trailed down her arm and grazed the ground but quickly came back up. Feels icky. Gwen raised a hand and petted them. "Thats-- that is just horrible." Gwen looked our over the expanse of land. "I've read about constructed wetlands, which sounds like what you're thinking." Gwen pulled out a camera. "Do you mind if I chronicle some of this for my records?"
  3. "Oi! Dios Mio!" Gwen gasped in the tongue of her mother. She whispered a silent prayer under her breath, it may also have been swears but her voice was nearly absent. "This is-- what actually happened here?" Gwen shook her head as she took in more of the scene. It would need a lot of work. She would defiantly need the oil eating bacteria her uncle recommended and was silently glad that she had taken him serious when she described the scenario to him. Gwen bit her lip hard, finding herself worried about the current possibilities of her own version of Earth.
  4. Gwen smiled and thanked the vine as she boarded. "I've got some Anarcharis, Water Hyacinth, cat tails and Water Lettuce for Metals and Nitrates. Softrush, Bulrush and water mint for bacteria like e-coli. Also brought some Sweetflag for oxygenation." Gwen blushed and felt she was rambling. "My parents helped pick the varieties, I told them this was a school project, which it sort of is." Reaching the top and trying to settle as Fleur had Gwen wondered out loud. "Do I have to hold on to something?"

  7. GM The King and Queen excused themselves, they needed to return for the beginning to the tourney, which the group was informed could be viewed from the tent. Seats were set out, and it began. There were elaborate jousts, archery, even fencing to be seen, Finally the King and Queen began their speech. An elaborate story about the two valiant fighters who came to protect the reputation of the people of Freedom and their lady. Suddenly a brightly colored portal appeared in the middle of the dirt flat used for combat, a collective 'Whoa' came from the crowd as the surface of the portal rippled like water with a pebble thrown onto it. A moment later a giant black figure emerged from the portal, it was flying above the stands and swerved, blowing fire and lighting some of the flags on fire. A second sky blue flying figure also came through the portal, this followed the first and shot out ice shards. Both giant beasts raised their heads and let out an ear piercing scream. "Are those-- DRAGONS?!" Gwen screamed.
  8. GM The group was escorted to a large tent where they were greeted by the King and Queen again, they were introduced to some of the other fighters, given a choice of garb to change into if they didn't have their own already. Two men introduced themselves to Brian and Morgan, their costume names were Virgil of Lourdes and Cameron of Brookeridge. They started showing the boys how to fake moves with the light but real looking swords. Brian and Morgan would of course defeat the two men in their two on two skirmish for the honor of the kingdom of Freedom. The honor of the lady would be protected and fun would be had by all.
  9. It took Gwen a moment to realize that they were talking about a bee coming to Claremont. Gwen wondered how a giant bee was going to attend Claremont and not cause a scene but she put that idea away. "This mention of mud drying up, I imagine there's a dam in place?" Gwen reached back and took the water bottle out for a sip. The Vines peaked out farther from her shirt collar, a few more still on her skin made their way down Gwen's arms to her fingers. Big Bee at home? the inquired I guess soon.
  10. Gwen's tensions eased slightly, and the vines retracted their flowers. Gwen's face was confused until the exchange finally settled in. "It is an honor to meet you." Gwen managed once her nerves settled. She looked at Fleur then back to the giant bee-- Beelizabeth she thought Fleur had called it. Of all the odd things Gwen had seen in her month and a half since coming to Claremont this had to take some kind of cake. Gwen had seen some giant things while traversing jungles, forests and deserts but giant bee's were a new territory for her. "Yes, I have some samples of plants with me that should help purify the water and air."
  11. Gwen watched in awe at what Catalyst was doing. Personally Gwen thought it was fantastic, what a way to go about it. When the other woman was done and back in front Gwen crawled into the back of the van and crouched her small body between two of the bolted cabinets. She gave Catalyst a thumbs up in the rear view. "Ready when you are." Gwen said as she wiggled and made her body slightly more comfortable.
  12. Gwen wrinkled her nose at the mention of letting in Mel Gibson. She took Brian's hands, propped her self up on tip toes and kissed him, letting her lips linger just above his as she answered. "No, but I've got to go anyway." She smiled tightening her grip on Brian's hands. "If the world ends--" Gwen brought a finger up to Brian's mouth to stop him from interrupting her like she thought he might. "If it does, which we both hope it won't, I've had the best sixteen hours ever."
  13. Gwen looked around the front of the building the back at Catalyst. She looked back at the building. "I think I'm of little use here, but while we were digging up for the community garden I learned that there are natural gas lines that run under the whole city. I think that maybe we could use that to our advantage." Gwen pulled on green gloves that covered to her wrist. She had learned that she needed to protect her civvie ID by not leaving fingerprints in places she shouldn't be. "You look perfect for a gas leak."
  14. 1d20+15=29 to climb the wall.
  15. Gwen's eyes lit up at Brian's mention of a few more hours. Her face grew mischievous, her smile reached her eyes. She bit her lip and looked up at Brian while her head was still slightly down turned. "Speaking of those hours..." Gwen was glad that she and Brian had gotten to the greenhouse while it was still closed for break. She was glad that she got to spend more time close with him. She had decided that she really liked having this kind of closeness with someone. She had that bleak thought about it maybe never happening again but she shook her head and shook it off. Gwen stood there in front of Brian, in her hiking oufit, backpack full of essentials she was told she should bring. They stood in the foyer to the admin building and Gwen checked her watch. "It's almost time."
  16. 1d20+15=25 Gwen's roll to notice-- well before I try and stunt the long range communication I'm wondering if there is an alley next to the building, maybe with a duct or a vent of some kind. My plan is to extend the vines in it and hope they can hear something, or find something. They've got a 50ft length range.
  17. Gwen nodded and made a mental note about what Fleur said about the natives. It would be interesting to get to know them, she found herself wondering if they had any kind of agriculture system she could help them improve when the buzzing caused her to nearly drop to the floor. Gwen froze like a deer in headlights still facing Fleur but her eyes looking up. The Vines peeked out around her collar and small purple flowers began to blossom there. She waited and listened to the-- was that a BEE?! Gwen's mind raced and she turned her eyes back to Fleur and pointed up without moving her hand very far and made an inquiring face.
  18. Gwen made a sour face, put her fork and knife down and took a napkin to dab her mouth. "You can do very important things, don't ever belittle yourself or make light of what you are." Gwen could feel herself get emotional and took a breath. "You do things I can only dream of doing!" Gwen adverted her eyes by looking down at her plate, she began cutting her sausage links up. "Everything I can do on my own-- its all passive. If it weren't for my... my friends I would be nothing but a glorified gardener. Everything you are, everything you do, that is 100% you."
  19. Gwen can converse with plants in her head normally, so it would stunt the distance would it not?
  20. I was thinking... If there are plants inside that building Gwen can spy on whoever is in there and get a bead on what might be going down.
  21. Gwen cringed at Brian's comment about modern facilities and washers. She wondered if he knew that in her life she had gone months at a time without indoor plumbing, hot water and most "modern" comforts. She eyed her scrambled eggs, they were flecked with sausage, bacon, peppers, onions and giant globs of cheese. "I don't know, apparently Summers had me in mind for this project since he knew what my pow-- erm...Speciality was." Gwen put a ladylike forkfull into her mouth and didn't speak again until she chewed and swallowed. "And since my..." Gwen struggled for the word "New developments he says I'm an even greater asset to the project."
  22. Gwen's face lit up as Brian picked her up, she knew what was coming and she loved the feeling. As his arms embraced her closer she knew the feeling was coming... WOOSH! She felt it in the pit of her stomach, the same butterflies she got when Brian touched her gently to move her hair from her face or to graze her hand with his. She loved the feelings she got when Brian literally swept her off her feet. Maybe it was because it was something she could only do when with him. Gwen had the menu unfolded when Brian asked. "Yeah, I-- uh... my bag is packed. Summers told me not to bring much more than a few changes of clothes, my hiking equipment and such. He said my hostess would provide all else that I need."
  23. "I... I thought this planet was ravaged by some kind of chemical, or technological warfare? How were there survivors?!" Gwen cracked the top of the bottle and took a sip before putting it into the holder on her bookbag. She eyed the children and the television for a moment before she turned to see the green haired baby. Gwen's face lightened a little when she noticed the resemblance to Fleur. "I thought this version of Earth was too polluted to support life for the most part."
  24. Gwen sat in the passenger seat dressed as Flora, her dark green mask covering her eyes, hair filled with inquisitive vines. She eyed the front of the shop also, taking photos of the people who came and went. "It's all we have to work with, I'm fairly new to this myself." Gwen put the camera down for a moment and looked at Catalyst. "By the way, nice repairs."
  25. I'm totes down! I've always wanted to go Geocatching!
