  1. Dark Star reversed the field, sending those pinned rocketing upwards. He turned to Quark, "Uh, not sure if you can handle those 4 or not. If not, duck back outside and I'll figure something out! Or, if yer better at that sort of thing, you could help the Doctor with those devices." He really had no idea what the young man could do. All that had happened so far was that Quark had tried to shoot him. Twice! He looked up as the attackers reached the peak of his area. He nodded to himself and canceled the field, letting them crash back down. Hopefully it'd knock a few of them out so he could stop having to pin them.
  2. Dark Star wasn't exactly sure about this . She had attempted to shoot him with something. But he supposed mistakes happen. She certainly seemed calmer and no longer threatening. He slowly brought the gravity to something closer to normal, gently lowering her down. "Apologies for the confusion then Tarantula. When she yelled 'help'," he nodded over towards the White Rook, "I just jumped right in. Sorry for the inconvenience of hoisting you up that way. My bad." He drifted down so he was more on level with everyone else. "I'm Dark Star. Somewhat recently returned to Earth. Still learning this 'superhero' thing. I'd join you but I, uh, always look like this. Not exactly the most subtle, not to mention not being solid." He shrugged his shoulders. "But if there's something I can do to make up for my hasty actions, don't hesitate to ask!" He did feel bad about that. It was no way to treat a fellow hero.
  3. He was shot at twice; not sure if you were hit. First roll is for the pistol (that would be a 22), second is for a rifle (a 13)
  4. was the second roll, so Rifle. I'll spend the HP. HP reroll (1d20+10=27)
  5. The three attackers by the bomb raised their weapons and fired randomly above, trying to shoot whoever was trying to move them. All their shots went wide, none coming close. One of the blasters suddenly heated up and started sparking, falling to the ground useless and melting. The group just outside of the gravity field shot through it at Dark Star and Quark but the gravity caused the shots to ground out too soon. The 4 from the first bomb charged forward, their weapons blazing away, two shooting at Quark and two at Dark Star. And while two of those shots managed to hit, neither of the heroes were injured.
  6. Oh...duh. Should have known that! Attacks: 1st 2 on DS, 2nd 2 on Quark. (pistol first, then rifle for attack rolls) (1d20+5=18, 1d20+5=25, 1d20+5=22, 1d20+5=13) so... not sure who needs rolls. I think DS is hit by the 2nd. which is lvl 8. pistols 5. DS needs a toughness roll, right? toughness roll if needed (1d20+10=16) (keeping in mind that DS toughness at this point is 10 w/ 6 imperv) which I'm pretty sure would hurt like hell? so...would a HP make sense?
  7. White Star nodded her head. "Hanover it is. Anyone else need a lift?" Baring significant anomalies, I can have there in...about 20 or 30 seconds if you want to want to see the sights on the way. With good direction, maybe 2 or 3 seconds if we just want to, ya know, get there and get our normal bodies back! Anyone who needs a lift to the her place, gather close." As soon as everyone was close enough, he reached out and lifted the group. With a flash, he headed for the Doctors. He had no intention of taking the scenic route!
  8. Gravity Test (1d20+10=26) Good to go!!
  9. I'm just waiting for her to reply/dodge/get tossed about or whatever before I post again...
  10. Ok, maybe I'm a little slow (certainly tired). Sand, what exactly is Quark doing this round?
  11. White Star shook her head. "I can provide transport to anywhere as well. But what is our plan? I can try my contacts though they will take some convincing that I'm 'me' given the...changes. But it's worth a shot. Doctor? Any chance you can create something that will reverse this? I'll still do what I can to find out about this guy though." As soon as she finished, White Star was going to go and do what should could to track down this annoying gender-switcher. And really, what kind of a weapon is that??? In the meantime while waiting for an answer or a plan, White Star extended her senses outward, looking for any clue left behind by the exploding Barbie.
  12. Dark Star Scowled as the man managed to dodge past most of the field. "This is getting out of hand..." He figured that if he blasted the Captain, that would end it pretty quick but he was sure the man would survive it. And he wouldn't risk such a thing. So, he reached out and tried to grab the captain in midair again.
  13. Sorry for the hold up all! TK grab (1d20+6=15) HP to reroll Again! (1d20+6=21) I think I miss, right?
  14. I know I'm not the ST of the thread (and it will make this EVEN harder)...but I think Captain should get a VP for getting the banged about from DS's gravity those times without a save. He should have gotten a defense roll but didn't. Just my opinion.
  15. um...I think she gets a reflex dodge or something to save for half the ST? (It's Gravity control 9, since I'm flying still, so that's 45 ST, right?)
  16. Dark Star was willing to wait and handle things politely. Of course all that polite stuff changed when the original woman screamed for help (a sure sign of a good person in danger if it wasn't obvious enough) and the masked woman attempting to shoot him with something! That settles it, he thought to himself. Villain. He moved down to place himself between the frightened woman and her agile assailant. He gathered the darkness around his hands and altered the gravity all around the woman, and any loose bits, causing them to shoot upwards. He nodded at the newcomers words and eyed him cautiously (from the words he seemed like the hero type, but Dark Star was a little too busy to just assume that just yet) as he tried to send the woman shooting to the top of his gravity field to hang there for a few...
  17. Uh...I thinkI'll be expanding the area. That will cover the whole ship, or damn close to it, (I hope). And if each 'foot' of the area is negated in weight (since it's an area thing), that should make the ship weigh practically nothing. Increasign the ST of TK would jsut give me more weight (but not near enough). And since we haven't explained ourselves/synched up/tried this before, the gravity plan makes more sense than trying to synch up TK. (unless I don't understand the game system/rules which is highly given past prescedant! ). StB: His powers are actually 'black' I think. I just use blue for words to make it stand out (and green for thoughts). But that still works! :)
  18. Dark...er White Star (that was going to take some getting used to...not that he wanted to, mind you!) looked over at Avenger. His commrade seemed to be having more trouble than using forming completely sentences. "Where do we start? I know a little investigation but need somewhere to start from. I suppose I could make some calls but...I don't exactly sounds like myself," he said in his now melodious voice.
  19. Ok, freely using extra effort and an HP to use gravity/tk (which is a subset of gravity for me anyway) to make the boat lighter. (And I yelled out what I was doing so she'd know. Rest of it is up to you.)
  20. Dark Star deposited the next group of rescuees onto the thankfully clearing bridge. But it was taking too long. The ship was sinking...AND moving farther down the river as well. He did a quick calculation in his head given the weight and displacement of the vessel. It didn't look good. He frown as his fashed back to the boat, coming to rest at it's center. He heard Scarab's yell but shook his head. "THE BOAT'S STILL SINKING! WE NEED TO MOVE IT TO THE EDGE OF THE RIVER! I'M GOING TO NEGATE THE MASS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE! YOU DO THE PUSHING!" Dark Star set himself, letting him feel feel the the vessel. He pushed out with his energy, father than he had ever done before. "Just a boat...it doesn't matter...I can do this..." He felt his form waver, weaken as he expended more energy and effort than he'd tried before. He groaned with strain as the boat beneath him became lighter, more moveable. "SCARAB! HURRY! CAN'T HOLD THIS FOR LONG!" Of course, because it became lighter, the current of the river would have an easier time moving it as well...
  21. LOL So it looks like she tried to attack him. Gotta love first impressions!
  22. ok...so... Is it the new round? Ie can I post for DS doing this? Pretty sure that I saved the ones that fell in the water already. (Still some on the deck of ship but one problem at a time.) I'm fine with the combo st thing. Description wise, DS is going to sit in the center of the ship and extend his gravity field out to reduce the weight over as much of the ship as he can. it's still the same mechanic of combining st but mkes more sense description/effect-wise. If that will need a HP and/or Extra Effort (even just for RP purposes), then I'm fine with that! If not, that works too! :)
  23. Dark Star flew through the city, just amusing himself really, as he practiced his powers and looked for trouble. Something usually turned up with a high degree of regularity. The city did look rather nice from this high up as the sun went down. He'd seen more impressive sights during his journeys, but nothing beat home, right? He couldn't help but note the sudden appearance of the lady on the roof. And the apparently kamikaze run of another woman up the side of the building who suddenly looked rather distressed. He reversed course and flashed over, hovering. "Good evening ladies. Is everything all right?" He didn't know if they were heroes, just people with powers playing around or villains. Regardless, it was no reason to not show good manners to someone. He was a hero after all!
