  1. Cole nodded. "I don't particularly like real fighting but...being a hero does seem pretty cool. I haven't done anything like that yet," he said. "Hopefully I'll get a chance to do some good too." He tilted his head in agreement. "It does seem like a good percentage of people have preconceived notions about such things. I've got none of those really. People, whatever they are or look like, should be judge by who they are not where they come from or look like," he agreed. "Is that something you're concerned about? With your emitters I doubt anyone would even be able to tell."
  2. Derrick was doing his best not to gush and fawn over his wife and daughter. He was only partially successful, but still. He was so happy, he was having a little trouble keeping his energy bottled up. He was fairly certainly his face had frozen into a giant happy smile. "Thank you, everyone, for being here for us on this perfect day. Your presence means a great deal to us and we will treasure this, always. Thank you," he said sincerely, shaking hands and even giving a brief hugs in his joyful mood. "She is going to be the luckiest girl ever," he said with a beaming smile at his two lovely ladies.
  3. "One super big psychic alien? Kinda arrogant name huh? Especially since ya beat it," he said with a grin. "Good thing too. I would have hated to get here only to have a starfish thing slapped on my face." He nodded to Sharl. "Parade or no, still sounds like you did a great job." He briefly perked up at the 'sample' notion but controlled himself. "I'd like to see that some time. Bio-tech is a fascinating subject. Not something I've put any real thought or research into, but still fascinating." He nodded to Sharl. "Seems like you've had a pretty active and cool time working here," he nodded with a smile.
  4. Ok, I would like to resubmit Torque, but as a PL10 instead of just doing a massive edit post. I have quite a few reasons for this, mostly based on my own views and thoughts; if relevant I can fill you in. The history and 'fluff' is almost word for word identical to the PL12 version. I lowered his attack/defense to fit the new PL and stripped a couple feats. Most of the changes are in the suit as I stripped out a whole bunch of things. Functionally it is basically the same, just weaker. as a side note and heads up: I will be submitting an edit for eq pts after this but I didn't think it was right to include it in this refit. Player Name: Cyroa Character Name: Torque Power Level: PL 11 (157/163) Trade-Offs: -3 Attack / +3 Damage, -3 Defense / +3 Toughness Unspent PP: 6 Progress To Gold Status: 13/90 (Silver Status earned with Dark Star) In Brief: Energy Powersuited genius / on-the-run freedom fighter Alternate Identities: Cole ‘Jefferson’ Identity: Secret (he has no real identity here; just a fake one provided for him) Birthplace: unknown Occupation: Student, inventor Affiliations: Claremont Academy Family: unknown Age: Appearance: 16 or so; actually 66 (though unknown) Apparent Age: 16 Gender: Male Ethnicity: Caucasian Height: 5’10†Weight: 160lbs Eyes: Blue Hair: Blond/dirty blonde Description: Cole is a young man, about 16 years old or so. Standing a couple inches shy of 6 feet, he is a handsome youth. With short dirty-blond hair and blue eyes, he is a noticeable fellow. He dresses in simple sneakers, jeans and t-shirts. Power Descriptions: (if applicable) The suit stands roughly 6’ tall. It is black or perhaps a dark blue. It appears to be completely seamless. There is a set of slightly glowing ‘lines’ that run up one side of the suit and down there other. The color of that often changes, depending on the energy being used. The helmet is totally dark, not revealing his face beneath, though the ‘piping’ makes a circuit up through his helmet as well. History: Before a year ago, nothing is known of the young man named Cole. There are no records of him anywhere. And given how he was found, that is not surprising. Roughly a year ago in an otherwise peaceful park, a sudden dark rip/tear/portal appeared in the air, dozens of feet up. Within moments of it creation, from inside there was a massive explosion. A huge gout of flame, some debris and a large battlesuit was hurled through to liter the grass. The portal closed almost immediately. The large suit has obviously been through a battle, even if the explosion of its arrival hadn’t been enough of a clue. Even as people looked on the 12’ suit began to ‘melt’ or fade away, leaving a human sized figure in a smaller version of the suit. The figure didn’t stir or twitch as authorities quickly came to take care of the situation. As they bundled him up, the smaller suit began to slide/fade away, leaving a battered teenager behind. As happens in situations like these, the newcomer was shuffled off to spend some time in quarantine and testing under government review and observation. When he awoke, he could barely recall anything. He knew the name ‘Cole’; presumably that was his own name. Beyond that, he was practically a completely blank. Some simple testing indicated a phenomenal intelligence and an extensive array of knowledge. He also possessed a surprising degree of combat training as well as tactical planning from what could be determined. Something just as, if not more, worrisome to the government employees was his proclivity for designing and creating inventions that defied logic. They never were able to figure out his ‘suit’ but they learned quite a bit beyond that. He clearly had knowledge of and abilities putting him in line with various heroes or villains in the world. They held him for quite some time, studying both him and his devices. Eventually however, he was released to Claremont School due to his not being of age yet. They provided him with a set of identifications and background to help his assimilation into society as well as some admonishments that they would be watching him (which he promptly ignored). Still, he was free now, even if he had no clue to who he was or a direction for himself. Personality & Motivation: As a young man, Cole is a very curious fellow by nature. He always wants to learn, to know, to understand more, to figure out what things do and why. He is always interested in fiddling with the next project, trying out new ideas. Beyond that, he is generally a very happy and upbeat fellow, looking on the bright side. He might not be the most social of people but that tends to be due to his background and troubles as well as his overdeveloped intellect. He isn’t one to take the lead, socially, preferring to watch and observe rather than directing. Cole does feel a bit lost and out of place at times though; it is more than just not coming from this reality (though that is there as well). The blank in his perfect memory, the occasional flashbacks and nightmares and his…almost cold ruthlessness in a crisis disturb him quite a bit. He’s tried to address those things but has little success so far. Powers & Tactics: Without his armor, he has no real powers beyond his extensive intelligence and ability to create devices. He is fairly ordinary, physically. With his armor, he is a force to be reckoned with. It is adjustable in many way; changing various functions to fit the needs of the situation. Offensively, the suit creates disk that slam and cut into things with remarkable force and even coming around for another pass if they miss. In addition, he is able to charge them with numerous types of energy to be even more effective when needed. Or, if the situation requires it, the suit can greatly enhance his strength for close up melee. His suit is capable of healing his injuries but it takes time and energy for the systems to repair him; not something he is likely to get in the middle of a fight. When a situation starts, his personality becomes harder and less playful. He think nothing of analyzing a situation and shouting out orders, expecting them to be followed ((master plan)). There is no such thing as ‘too much force’ when there is a target to be stopped. He doesn’t really believe in killing but he doesn’t pull his punches. This occasionally leads to some troubles when prisoners are needed to be taken. Complications: Amnesia: Cole has no solid recollection of his past. It is something he finds quite unsettling given his memory. Flashbacks/Nightmares: Cole suffers from occasional, sometimes debilitating, flashbacks of various images (often violent). Often they are so strong that it is hard for him to determine that they are not real. Dangerous Past: He came/escaped from somewhere (likely dangerous). Whatever or wherever it was, it is possible they aren’t going to just let him go. Overwhelming Force: When action starts, he becomes far less concerned with injuring or capturing his opponents. (Note: this isn’t mindless bloodless but how he approaches a threat/opponent. It is a mentality; cold and ruthless; no feelings, pure logic.) Age: Despite intelligence and ability, he is still a teenager with an estimated age of 16 and therefore is barred from a few locations, not to mention the stereotyping. Curious: He's just got to KNOW. He wants to know what's what, how it works and what this does... just not always appropriate for that to be a driving force. Secret Id: While he doesn't have much of an Id to hide, the school does. Abilities: 2 + 2 + 2 + 12 + 2 + 0 = 20PP STR 12 / 36 (+1/+13) DEX 12/ 20 (+1/+5) CON 12 / 28 (+1/+9) INT 22 / 32 (+6/+11) WIS 12 / 22 (+1/+6) CHA: 10 (+0) Combat: 6 + 6 = 12PP Init: +6/+11 ATK: +3 (+7 Melee/+7 Blast) Grapple: +8/+21 DEF: +7 (base 3, Dodge Focus 4), +1 flat-footed Knockback: -10 normal/cloaked, -13 armored; -0 out of armor Saving Throws: 0 + 3 + 4 = 7PP TOU +13 (Imp 6 w/ Impervious Field); +1 out of suit FORT +1/+9 (+1/+9 Con) REF +4/+8 (+1 Dex, +3) WILL +5/+10 (+1/+6 Wis, +4) Skills: 52R = 13PP Computers 4 (+10/+15) Craft (Chemical) 4 (+10/+15) Craft (Electronic) 4 (+10/+15) Craft (Mechanical) 4 (+10/+15) Disable Device 4 (+10/+15) Drive 4 (+5/+9) Knowledge (Earth Sciences) 4 (+10/+15) Knowledge (Life Sciences) 4 (+10/+15) Knowledge (Physical Sciences) 4 (+10/+15) Knowledge (Tactics) 4 (+10/+15) Knowledge (Technology) 4 (+10/+15) Notice 4 (+5/+10) Stealth 4 (+5) Feats: 17PP Attractive Attack Focus: Melee 4 Dodge Focus 4 Eidetic Memory Improvised Tools Inventor Jack-of-all-Trades Master Plan Move-By Action Online Research Speed of Thought Powers: 78 + 2 + 12 = 92PP Device 19 (Nanite Energy Weave suit; 95 points, Flaw: Hard to Lose; PF: Restricted x2) [78PP] Communications Systems 3 (6pp; PF: Alternate Power) [7PP] BE: Communication 5 (radio, 5 miles; PF: Subtle) {6/6} AP: Datalink 5 (radio, 10 miles; PF: Subtle) {6/6} Energy System, Primary/Offensive 14 (28 points; PFs: Alternate Power 2, Affect Insubstantial 1, Variable Descriptor 2 [any tech]) [33PP] BE: Blast 12 (PFs: Accurate x2, Homing, Precise) {28/28} - Charged Disks AP: Blast 9 (Extras: Area [burst, General]) {27/28} - Exploding Energy Disk AP: Enhanced Strength 24 (to 36/+13) and Super-Strength 2 (effective Str 46) {28/28} Energy System, Secondary/Defensive 3 (6 points; PF: 1 Alternate Power) [7PP] BE: Concealment 10 (all senses; Flaws: Blending, Passive; PF: Close Range) {6/6} - Stealth Field AP: Impervious Protection 6 (note: Sustained Active effect) {6/6} - Armor Mode Energy System, Tertiary/Miscellaneous 5 (10 points; PFs: 2 Alternate Powers) [12] BE: Leaping 3 (x25 distance; move action) and Speed 3 (50 mph / 500 ft. per move action) and Super-Movement 2 (wall-crawling 2 [full move]) {10/10PP} AP: Teleport 9 (anywhere on Earth; Extra: Accurate; Flaws: Long Range only, Medium [Networks/Electrical Conduit]; PF: Progression [Weight] 1 [200 lb. cargo]) {10/10} – Digital Transport AP: Enhanced Dex +8 (to 20/+5) and Enhanced Feats 2 (Second Chance [Drive], Ultimate Effort [Drive]) {8+2=10/10} – Vehicle Sync Enhanced Constitution 16 (to 28/+9) [16PP] Feature 2 (Computer, Library) [2pp] Immunity 9 (Life Support) [9PP] Protection 4 [4PP] Super-Senses 5 (darkvision [enhancement], infravision, radar) [5PP] Suit: 7+33+7+12+16+2+9+4+5= 95/95 Quickness x4 (x25; Flaw: Limited [Mental only]) [2] Super Brain 5 (10pp; PFs: Alternate Power x2) [12] BE: Enhanced Int 10 (to 32/+11) {10/10} AP: Enhanced Wis 10 (to 22/+6) {10/10} AP: Comprehend 4 (codes, languages 3 [understand all, speak any, read/write]) {8/10} Drawback Normal Identity: Full Round [-4] Abilities (20) + Combat (12) + Saving Throws (7) + Skills (13) + Feats (17) + Powers (92) - Drawbacks (-4) = 157/163 Power Points
  5. Cole tilted his head at him, impressed. "Wow. That's pretty cool. Super job, super assistant and super hero. Plus saved the world once before even starting school. Pretty impressive any way you look at it. Awesome too," he said with a grin. "Aliens huh? Really? What did they look like? Do you know what kind of science their technology was based on," he asked, his curiosity getting the better of him before he could reign it in. "Yeah, obviously I don't have much of one myself. But the school does; probably why they were so explicit in their warnings to me," he muttered half to himself.

He quickly raised a hand in deference. "I did not mean to intimidate or imply he should leave," he said towards Peter's departing back. "I was just pointing out something he seemed to have overlooked before it created too much discomfort for Caresse," he quickly finished. He felt a bit guilty now for some odd reason. He looked to Vicky and quickly continued. "Nor was I implying we needed to distance ourselves from your company. I...man, I seemed to have made the wrong impression here," he said a little worried that it had been taken the wrong way. "That was never my intent, I assure you," he said with a frown. Stupid social rules. Really need to get a book on this stuff. He shook his head at Vicky after a second, bringing his thoughts back together. "Only in the vaguest sense. If you give me 5 or 10 minutes, I'm sure I could find out about him though. Why?" He looked over at Crow and hesitated a second before answering. "Not exactly. I was told not to be too liberal with sharing it but since those rules about the powers seem lax, I don't see the need. I was in a kind of 'quarantine' for the last 10 months or so being held in this government Facility. I was just released," he paused in thought, "about 5 hours ago and transported directly here. I, uh, seemed to be from a different reality. That isn't a 100 percent confirmed mind you, just the supposition and assumption based on certain eye-witness accounts and the advanced nature of my suit." He gave an uncomfortable shrug, wondering if now was a good time to go...somewhere else. Anywhere really. After checking in of course.
  7. "Hmm, I haven't met any of them yet actually. Perhaps I'll run into them at school soon," he shrugged. "This Dragonfly works here too? Sounds pretty cool to me." He nodded. "Yeah, I admit it isn't easy coming from nowhere and fitting in. Kinda sucks really," he said with a frown. He nodded and continued. "Pretty much the same boat I guess. School is kinda empty at the moment but there's a few people staying over the summer it seems. You know, you have your portable emitter you said. You could come to school any time you wanted, even if the main system isn't fully installed yet," he suggested. "It would give a reason to take a break from here if you needed it. The whole 'seeing the school' bit."
  8. Cole flipped up his visor; it was more polite to speak with people face to face. He nodded slightly at her explanations and suppositions. He'd do some looking into it himself when he had the time, not that he expected to find anything more than super smart insanely hot lab coat wearing... STOP THAT hero found. But he was a curious fellow and this was a mystery after all. He nodded to Sharl in affirmative. "Yeah, I've got nothing. For the last 10 months I've been living in some insanely boring government facility being tested and fiddling with things...which they immediately confiscated too. I started making nonsense devices just to bug them really," he added with a grin. "So believe me, you've got nothing on them when it comes to being nosy. We're good; don't worry about it." He cleared his throat oddly and ventured something. "Perhaps it is just my limited experience but...the internet is far from a guarded expanse and hardly seems private at all. In fact, people seem delighted to share anything and everything on it." He raises a hand to forestall any comments. "I'm just guessing, of course mind you, but your background seems a bit off. I'm not asking or anything Sharl. I'm just saying that perhaps a different detailed background would pass inspection more thoroughly," he finished with a shrug. He moved on quickly before there was any awkwardness and let it drop. "As for it being hard? Yeah, it seriously sucks. I could tell you exactly and with perfect detail every time little thing that has happened to me or that I experience since waking up in the Facility. But there's nothing before it. Nothing. I seriously hate not knowing something and this is like the word not knowing ever," he mutters unhappily. He quirked a smile. "Yeah, there seem to be more than a few there. Some are really, uh, nice looking, yes. Not sure who is single or attached but I've only been there a couple days after all. But cute is definitely there." He quirked an eyebrow. "Oh, which one did you meet?"
  9. He nodded in response to her clarification. "Oh, I suppose I understand that well enough. That doesn't mean I'm particularly looking forward to numerous awkward moments and such that come with the high school experience," he said with a shrug of one shoulder. He generally was a fairly shy person, not entirely comfortable in large social settings. "An odd..benefit from my amnesia is that I don't have any preconceived notions about how things 'should be' according to everyone else. I'm a blank slate, right?" he said with a little joke, trying to make light of his discomfort of the topic. He sat up and quirked an eyebrow at her words. "Oh? Are there some anomalies I should be aware of compared to most kids my age," he asked, more curious than worried or concerned. He hopped off the table and activated his suit. Moments later, he was safely encased in it. He gave the computer a quick, and habitual, glance and ran a simple diagnostics to verify its status. Unnecessary but still a habit. He waved Sharl's apology away, unconcerned. "No big deal. You're helping so was gonna happen anyway. 'Sides, not like I have any big secrets as far as I know right," he adds with a wry smile. "Heck, if you find something out that I don't know, tell me!"
  10. He nodded to Sharl absently, still looking at the technology being displayed curiously. "Well, I'm not much of a student honestly. I mean I now go to the school and live there. I moved in a couple days ago. But as I already read and mastered all of the state and federal government's guidelines and requirements of education for both the 11th and 12th grade before I ever got there, I don't really think I qualify as a 'student' per se. And while I haven't looked yet, I am fairly certain I could do the same for several college degrees. Still have a significant amount I'd like to learn of course." He paused and grinned. "Besides, its summer and I very specifically recall reading and learning that summer was 'fun time' for the youth in this country. Or at least time away from the normal education requirements anyway," he added, still smiling. "That aside...it's certainly a heck of a lot nicer than the Facility where I was being held before. There are other people to talk to. Freedom to do multiple things. It seems quite nice really from what I can tell over the last 2 days." He glanced over to the digital youth. "You're going to attend in the Fall? Have you chosen your classes yet? And, if you don't mind my asking, why are you waiting until then? Or is it just the emitter construction holding you up?"

He nodded towards Crowe. "Everyone can do something. I do not mean abilities or special unique things. Personally, I have no 'super powers' really. I have the ability to create devices and have an elevated IQ, but I have no 'powers' per se. But without technology I am no more capable than any other fellow. As I said, everyone can do something," he repeated. He tilted his head slightly to Peter as he suppositions of the boy's powers were confirmed. Though he was somewhat surprised that the fellow didn't even know what his friend could do. Unusual... Or perhaps he was just that oblivious. Cole quirked an eyebrow at the boy completely misunderstanding or ignoring the fact that Caresse was quite a few steps back from the rest with obvious space issues. He reached out with a gentle hand to tap the Dreamer's shoulder. "Excuse me, Peter, she has some difficulties with personal boundaries that you may have missed. Perhaps offering to hand her something is not the best choice," he said patiently. He looked at Caresse and could see her eagerly wanting to move off, eyes practically pleading. He was fascinated by the people but she was looking rather uncomfortable. He didn't know why she had looked his way, but he couldn't just leave her hanging like that. Instead he nodded to the others and Vicky as well. "I would actually like the tour. However, I must sign in and register first before anything else. The rather unkind and decidedly grumpy gentlemen in bad suits from the government were quite clear about following their instructions or I would face certain repercussions that would have me stuck in a holding facility for another 10 months if not longer," he said wryly. "I would really prefer to avoid that myself." He nodded to John as the young fellow walked off. "Pleasure to have met you as well," he said with a wave.
  12. "As far as I can tell, yes, it is. Admittedly though, as I said, I'm not 100 percent sure. And no, I've no idea where I'm from either way. All I have are the eye-witness reports, theories combined unpleasant and fragmented flashbacks. Heck I could be from the future and be the King of New Guinea for all I know," he said with a wry grin. "That last one doesn't seem to likely though, does it?" He leaned back on the examination table, though he left his eyes open. He was too curious not to. "It's ok," he said in response to intellectual and physical hotness personified's gentle rebuke of Sharl. "It's not like I haven't dwelt on and doubted hundreds of different possible permutations and possibilities myself." He just nodded lightly as the scan began. Just another test after all. Though this one was performed with better tech and by someone insanely better looking than those stuffy scientist dweebs that had him before.
  13. He nods and a moment later the suit quickly recedes, leaving him as he was. "I'm fairly certain the suit was built and intended for combat purposes," he said with a shrug as he hopped onto the table. "Well, I'm pretty certain I did...but hard to be absolutely sure." He frowned a bit before continuing. "I uh...have no memory before coming here about 10 months or so ago. It's just blank. I...occasionally have nightmare. Disjointed, violent images really. Sometimes they happen when I'm awake," he says a bit quietly. "One of the reasons I don't like these combat tests," he mutters. "One reason anyway." He gives a shrug and continues. "But yeah, so I think I did, pretty sure...but can't be 100% on it."
  14. Cole nodded to Sharl in understanding. He was still fascinated by the digital youth and his perspectives in things. Perhaps he'd find some time at a later date to continue their discussions. For now though, he returned to walking perfection. "Yes, I did. I never take it off really. But it really isn't compressed memetic material like the scientist at the Facility thought," he said with a shrug. "Admittedly most of my knowledge on the subject is somewhat...scrambled. I know I made it and have the plans for it. I just don't recall some of the details. Hopefully I'll be able to reconstruct it as I spend some time working on it," he said with a small frown. "Anyway, it really isn't a material at all. It's actually energy based. Using my own body as a map, energy nanites create a rough lattice work overly. Then flooding that grid with energy, the energy is converted into a solid energy matrix with the specialized nanites. The result appears to be a solid material bodysuit that 'folks' out," he said, finishing. "It's all based around a zero-point energy module, producing the massive quantities required for the 'suit' generation and its functions." He wasn't worried about saying that much. Just as they were, he wasn't interested in revealing everything about the suit's design. And until/unless they could take it from him, they weren't going to learn more. What he said was more than enough really. With a simple twitch, he activated his 'suit'. Like water, the blue/black material swept over him in a moment, forming the suit and darkened helmet. He takes a second to reach up and lift the 'visor' of his helmet, showing his face once more.
  15. Cole walked in, slightly distracted by his conversation with Sharl. When he heard her voice and turned to look, Cole stopped and stared for almost three whole seconds...which was almost like a minute or two for most people really. Thankfully it wasn't enough time for him to start drooling like a slack jawed ignoramus...even if he felt like one at the moment. He managed to get his brain (and emotional drool) under control by the time she finished shaking his hand thankfully. Still, it was taking quite a bit of his not inconsiderable willpower to not simply fall all over her. His research certainly hadn't indicated anything about her being so...ya know... "Uh, hi." He gave a nonchalant shrug (or tried to), waving it off. For the insanely gorgeous super genius, he'd happily do plenty of tests. No! Stop that. Focus! He rallied his thoughts. "It's ok. I mean, that's all I've really done for the last 8 or so months anyway. Not a problem. It's fine," he said keeping his voice under control.

Cole nodded to John's additional comments on power usage. It seemed he had some adjustments to make in his actions. "I apologize; was just thinking out loud really. I have no idea how your powers work at all. You simply mentioned it and, well, I couldn't help but follow it to its, to me anyway, logical conclusion. Force of habit." He blinked. "Really? You can replicate weaponry on that scale? A man-portable cyrogenic containment projector? Very impressive. It'd take me a couple days to produce something like that, I think," he says, impressed...and misunderstanding John's words a bit. He nodded at Vicky's clarification. "I don't think you need it obviously, but if you want a high tech blaster, it is very simple to make," he offered since the 'using tech' rules seemed so relaxed here. He looked over as yet another student quickly approached. "Cole," he said, shaking hands with the newcomer. "Dreaming as in entering another's subconscious while in REM sleep or do you mean projecting a person's dream and making them manifest somehow," he asked curiously. He nodded to Caresse with a smile. "Of course. Anytime. Though I admit, the only device I currently possess is my suit. Everything else I built was confiscated," he said with a shrug. "Though next time I build something, presumably once we get settled, I'll let you know." He nodded to Vicky. "I know the layout already from my briefing and research but I would enjoy a tour," he said with a tilt of his head.
  17. Cole nodded, interested in the subject to say the least. "My memories of the subject matter are a bit scrambled I admit. But I have done a little research into the topic and find it very fascinating," he said nodding. "I can understand the secrecy; quite understandable. It sounds very exciting really. I wish you the best in your test runs and field trials." He looked over that your curiously. "Computer based intelligence? But not an artificial one I'm guessing from the phrasing. Very interest," he said curious. He didn't have any hang up about other forms of life one way or another. "Given your ability to achieve solid form, I would assume some form of projector are in the facility to allow that? Going through life as a 'computer-based intelligence' must offer you an incredibly unique perspective. You are a being of multiple worlds. I bet you have some rather impressive insights into reality," he said quite eagerly. He was interested and curious enough that he barely acknowledge the doors opening, walking through was more of an afterthought really.

Cole quirked an eyebrow at Crow's look and matched the stare without blinking. He supposed the boy could be far more dangerous than he appeared but Cole wasn't overly impressed. His girlfriend already spoke up once indicating her social status. Cole had no intention of pursuing anything. Heck, he'd just gotten here like 10 minutes ago, not to mention he wasn't exactly a social dynamo. I really need to do some more research on this social dynamic thing. No one mentioned any of this at the Facility, he thought to himself. Crow just seemed a bit angrily possessive which wasn't exactly a plus in his favor. Still the boy stuck his hand out, it showed some potential beyond 'possessive thug' really. Cole reached out and returned the handshake. "Nice to meet you," he replied with a half smile and a nod. Of course, the odd gleam in Vicky's eyes was rather confusing as well. Hopefully it had to do with her obsession for shiny technology. He nodded to Caresse with a grin. "Oh, I agree. Anything certainly is possible, or so I'd like to believe. It certainly makes life a lot more fun," he said nodding happily. "Technologically speaking or otherwise, anything is possible. I speak from experience there, at least in some ways," he added as an afterthought.

Cole nodded in understanding. “So by choosing to stay here for the summer, do you take on jobs such as this to help defray the costs? I suppose I will need to find employment of some kind as I will be here for the summers until emancipated. I admit I’m still trying to get a handle on some of this. I will adapt, I'm certain.†Cole looked up, quirking an eyebrow at the stranded youth before returning to ground level as another student walked up to greet them. And from this John Smith’s words, this was not the first time Morgan had gotten stuck. Cole idly wondered why someone who got stuck so often continued with the same action. He would have assumed the boy would try new options. Giving a mental shrug, he actually focused more on John’s creation of a throwing disk. “Thanks for the greeting and nice to meet you both,†he said in response, giving them both a cordial nod and smile. “I’m Cole.†Cole quirked his eyebrow yet again. “I was not aware the groundskeeper here was a wrathful individual. Duly noted,†he said with a nod. He knew who the staff were of course, given his reading material. But it had not come with any documentation or revelations about personalities. He looked at the others curiously. “Given your rather flagrant use of powers, can I assume the admonishment I received about not sharing or displaying any abilities or technologies was a bit excessive? It seems that while on school grounds, such rules are…lax in their enforcement?†His eyes looked curiously on as John ‘dismissed’ his throwing disk before looking back up to the conversation. “Hmm, lightsaber? Oh yes. A prop in a movie by a Mr. Lucas. I did see quite a few references to those films on the Net and even watched some for research,†he said, nodding. “Actually a lightsaber is rather doable really. The tricky part I would think is coming up with a modulating field containing the plasma inside but allowing all others to pass through the field without disrupting it. That might take me a couple hours to figure out,†he said with a shrug. He turned back to Caresse to address her question. “Torque was actually suggested to me due to the technical nature of what I can do. Though, yes, I did do some very rough designs for a few different vehicle, cars and motorcycles among them. The plans were confiscated,†he added with a small frown. “No matter. They are easily replicated. Perhaps once I have some time and materials, I will see about implementing them,†he said with a shrug of one shoulder.
  20. Hey all I love fast posting and posting often....but please don't post too often when someone has yet to go. Makes it hard for them. Sorry, just trying to be nice. :)
  21. He nodded to woman cordially in return to the secretary. "Yes ma'am. Thank you," he said, turning to continue looking around the lobby. As the greeter arrived, unusually too, he quirked an eyebrow and followed the young man's descent. Perhaps it was only while living at the school where he wasn't supposed to reveal powers and advance technology? This young fellow certainly didn't seem to have any issues display his. Cole shook the fellow's hand with a nod. "Pleased to meet you. I'm Cole obviously," he said with a small smile. "You work here? Sounds amazing. I'm living at the school as of, well, yesterday. They haven't told me anything about my job yet," he added with a shrug before continuing on. "I was told Miss Americana is beyond a genius level intellect pioneering technology in multiple fields. As her assistant, you must see all sorts of fascinating theories. What is you specialty area," he asked curiously.
  22. The young man in question stepped through the doorway, looking around with curious eyes and taking in the details. The young man was dressed simply, slacks and a button-up shirt. His short blond hair was nicely cut and cleaned. He rolled his shoulders a little, still getting used to the too-new clothes. He looked a little uncomfortable actually. Even as stepped through and looked around, his mind was working. He knew why he was here of course. Same reason the government had held him and studied his designs and tech for almost a year. Testing. Analyzing. He gave a mental shrug and was resigned to it. He didn't particularly like the violence inducing aspects of said testing though. Oh, sparing was fun in its way; a physical and sometimes mental challenge. But real violence he disliked. He didn't like who he was when that happened. Still, he was here and required to do these tests by the authority figure of the school. And while he dislike being ordered, being at the school was far better than being in that annoying government facility. So, here he was. Despite not being thrilled at the original intent for his being here, he was quite curious. There were some impressive scientific minds in this building which was rife with potential not to mention the facility itself. Who knew what he could learn while he was here? He looked around for someone to approach. His instructions had been rather vague of course after some basic details.

As they walked another woman approached them. He stared for a microsecond, taking in the white hair and red eyes. A fascinating combination and certainly not normal. He'd seen picture on line and such while in the facility but this was the first person who looked even a little different (though from what he was told there should be some rather extreme differences among some of the students; fascinating). He couldn't but note the curves and figures of the two ladies. They might not have the beautify of supermodels but he definitely noticed the curves and figures on both. He was supposed to be intellectual and logical and all that...but he was still a teenager. Luckily, his mind could work fast enough to appreciate their forms and still respond without stumbling over himself or sounding like a dolt. That would have been embarrassing! "Thanks for the welcome Victoria. Pleased to meet you. I'm Cole. Are you the 'welcoming committee'? I was not entirely sure as to what to expect honestly," he said with a slight frown. He quickly moved on though. "I wouldn't expect you too actually. I'm a rather recent transfer. I was just recently, uh, transferred out." He looked at her curiously. "You mentioned your friends. Are there many students here over the summer?"

Cole nodded to her, still smiling pleasantly. "Nice to meet you Caresse. I believe it is partially to maintain a certain level of secrecy," he said with a slight shrug of one shoulder. "Though...yes, there is the 'cool' factor as well," he added with a small smile and chuckle. "I chose 'Torque' for mine," he added as an aside. He nodded to her. "I believe the Headmaster's office is right off the main admin office. Ground floor. Room 1001," he said, nodding to the administration building. "I was told I need to sign in there and fill out a few forms or some such I could not do online. Get my room assignment, stuff like that. You?" He began walking that way. "The map of the dorms is not that complicated really. I doubt it will take you long to get acclimated, he added confidently.

Cole's surveying glance catching the young woman approaching; he noted her rather strong and athletic build with a curious glance. He stopped at her approach and nods his head to her. "Good morning. Yes, I am new here. I only just arrived moments ago," he says with a pleasant smile, nodding his head down the road at the retreating taxi. He noted the distance she kept between them and ran through a huge possible list of reason in his head as to why. The most logical, and likely given where they were, was some kind of power issue. That conclusion reached, he lowered the hand he had half raised in the traditional greeting. "While I have never been here, I'm fairly certain I can help you with directions. I memorized the faculty and layout of the school on the way over." He paused suddenly. "I apologize. I'm being rude. I'm Cole," he said, nodding formally to her once more. "Cole, uh, Jefferson," he added a bit lamely on the end as an after thought.
