  1. I'll do the skeletons first. http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3061450/]6d20+1=6,13,10,8,19,10,1\ Only one escapes! Time for necro-dude. 1d20+6=11 I'll give everyone a HP, and have him reroll. 1d20+6=24 Nick: 26. 4 HP, Unharmed Skeleton 1: 25. Bound Necromancer: 21. Unharmed Skeleton 2: 20. Bound Skeleton 3: 17. Bound Skeleton 4: 16. Bound Skeleton 5: 12. Bound Cobalt Templar: 11. 3 HP, Unharmed Skeleton 6: 11. Unharmed Warlock: 4. 4 HP, Unharmed Ghost: 4. Unharmed So our necromancer is up, and he'll attack Nick in retaliation. He'll use his Mystic Force Blast. 1d20+10=30  Oh my. Well, that's a 30 to hit, and a DC 30 Toughness for Nick.
  2. Zap took the seat next to Vicky, and smiled at Brian. He was cute enough, sure, but she had zero interest in roleplaying games. She sat patiently while the two discussed their characters, humming a tune to herself. It was unknown what went through her mind, but it was safe to say she was probably zoning out. She tended to do that when others were talking about things she didn't known much about. After letting the two talk for a minute, she did what she did best: say what was on her mind. "Y'all are nerds. No offense."
  3. Blake smiled back, and scooted his chair closer. "Well, Europe doesn't sound that bad either. I've never been out of the country in my life." He faltered for a moment, looking down, and briefly played with the sleeves of his jacket. "I've- I've also never flown on an airplane before. I know that sounds dumb- I mean, everyone's been on an airplane. It just never came up in my life. My parents could never afford to go anywhere special." He straightened up, his expression serious. "It'd mean a lot if we could go to Europe, baby."
  4. Mad Dog withdrew his fist, shaking bits of clay off of it. "No." he said, looking at the golem, his eyes unblinking and stoic. "Why would I be? I am greatly gifted physically. Few without powers can match me in hand-to-hand combat, much less with my stealth I picked up when I did Marine training. You were a worthy opponent, Red Rook. There are many more competitors to beat, though." He cracked his neck, and slammed a massive fist against his palm. "Nice fighting with you, bro." His fist slammed into the golem's face, hopefully the last hit he'd give him.
  5. Mad Dog will take a Move Action to Intimidate (-5 Penalty) 1d20+7=13 ...Meh. Another Power Attack (+5/-5) ought to do the trick. 1d20+6=23 Boy I'm lucky. That ought to take care of him. DC 30 Toughness.
  6. Mad Dog +5/-5 Power Attacks again. 1d20+6=18 Meh. I'll spend a hero point to reroll. 1d20+6=25 Since Mad Dog has Improved Critical...damn! That's another critical hit. That's a 25 to hit, and it'll invoke another DC 35 Toughness save. Awesome.
  7. The impact of the hit caused his knuckles to crack, which made him a little nervous. As the clay gave way beneath his fist, he pulled it back in surprise. He was almost shocked by how strange the clay felt beneath his fist. "Thank you, Red Rook. It's really not a matter of being good- although that helps. It's really more knowing what to do next." Taking advantage of his opponent's reaction to the pain, he braced his knuckles for another impact. "Being a badass does help, though." He held his arm back, and threw it forward, and he grunted with the exertion of the punch.
  8. She accepted the cheetah's handshake gladly, and smiled brightly at him, in the way that only she could. "Do you have slowed aging? You really don't look all that old. And I'm not just saying that to be polite." Before she could continue, a mass of people crowded about her, all asking for pictures of autographs. She chose not to answer any questions from the crowd, because most of them were none of their business. As she flipped back a lock of bleach blonde hair, her smile faltered briefly when she thought about the origin of her powers. However, it quickly returned to her usual chipper grin as she smiled and signed autographs with a speedy hand (which did not take much, considering the lack of letters in her heroic name). She had been practicing her signature- a cursive flourish with a lightning bolt extending from the P. She managed to sign a few dozen, then kindly thanked the crowd when she saw her bus arrive. She waited for the older heroes to go first- after all, courtesy was courtesy.
  9. Blake thought about it for a moment, and his face lit up like a Christmas tree. He looked straight into her eyes, and winked at her. "We'll find the true America, I reckon." He moved her hand up to his lips and kissed it lovingly. "That sounds like a great idea, babe. We'll take your Explorer...my motorcycle would not be so comfortable. I imagine your helmet could keep bugs out of your teeth- but. Let's just take your car." He swiped back his hair, which was almost growing shaggy, and smiled widely at her. "When shall we take our fanciful journey, my love?"
  10. Alright! So the initiative order. Nick: 26. 3 HP, Unharmed Skeleton 1: 25. Unharmed Necromancer: 21. Unharmed Skeleton 2: 20. Unharmed Skeleton 3: 17. Unharmed Skeleton 4: 16. Unharmed Skeleton 5: 12. Unharmed Cobalt Templar: 11. Unharmed, 2 HP Skeleton 6: 11. Unharmed Warlock: 4. Unharmed, 3 HP Ghost: 4. Unharmed Nick is up first.
  11. Mad Dog will Power Attack (+5 damage, -5 attack) so he'll have +6 Attack and +16 Damage if it hits! 1d20+6=20! Critical, bizatches! Awesome! Sooo, a 26 to hit, and a DC 36 Toughness. :D
  12. Mad Dog slowed his breathing, despite his heart racing at what felt like mach speed. Okay...gotta stay calm. I can't let him know he's got an advantage. He padded silently around the room. At least he can't see me, so I'm safe now. The guy probably isn't stupid, but as I recall, golems aren't exactly known for being rocket scientists. If I miss this hit, I'll have to try some scare tactics. Let's just hope he isn't as stony on the inside. He snuck behind the mighty golem, and grinned a little beneath his mask. Taking a deep breath, he channeled his mighty strength into a massive punch that made his arm shake. ...let's hope as well I don't have to reset my own arm.
  13. Janis smiled, and caught her breath. She looked at Jay, and offered him a hand. "Terribly sorry. It was an impulse. I should be more understanding." Her expression changed to a more serious one rapidly. "I know how it is with people jumping to conclusions. I bet you've jumped to one." She looked down a little and turned back to the cheetah. "And it's probably true. I tend not to think before I act. I'm workin' on it." After a moment, her face quickly snaps back to enthused. "So glad you asked! Well, its a new trick I've learned recently. I...don't know how it works. Science isn't my strong suit." She turned to see everyone was looking at her. "I'm Zap."
  14. Zap was cruising the city streets, skating on the power lines. Sparks flew from the soles of her costume as she raced up the streets, whooping with excitement and the pleasure of the wind through her hair. She sped along the electrical lines, having to jump from time to time as she passed to different lines. As she sped alone, she noticed her roommate waiting for a bus. Janis leapt from the power line, and landed near the bus stop, rolling to slow her descent. "Vicky!" She ran to her friend, giving her a big hug. "I haven't seen you in...hours!" She turned to Jay, and the part of her brain that controller rational thinking shut down. "KITTY!" <3
  15. Warlock uses his Lightning Rod. DC 19 Reflex and a DC 24 Toughness save if it hits.
  16. Warlock stood up, his wand drawn. His eyes were full of fury, and his chest rose and fell quickly. His teeth gritted, and he pointed the wand at him like a handgun. "You bastard. I can't fight whatever the hell just took my girlfriend down there, but when she gets back up, we're both going to kick your sorry ass." He squeezed the wand's handle, and it glowed with eldritch lightning. The handle sparked, and lit up the room for brief moments with flashes of light. "You're going to tell me who you are. Maybe not at this moment, but once we're through with you, you'll talk. Whatever you've got planning won't be happening." Warlock released the bolt, and it flew towards the scientist.
  17. Mad Dog bowed to the clay warrior, smirking a bit beneath his mask. "Looks like you'll be a challenge. My first real fight against a paranormal. I hope you're ready for me, 'cuz I sure am. I still have a thing or two against you guys. I did Marine training, but I kept with it. I'd be tempted to say I'm fairly badass, but I try to be humble. I'm sure your fists will hurt if they connect." He seemed to disappear into thin air. "You'll have to find me first, clay man."
  18. Mad Dog's initiative: 1d20+4=18 Mad Dog disappears. He uses Hide in Plain Sight. With Skill Mastery, he gets a 26.
  19. So we'll be using AA's Necromancer for...our necromancer. And the Ghost for the ghost. Necromancer's intiative: 1d20+7=21 Ghost's initiative: 1d20+3=1 And their six skeletal warriors, which will simply be generic Skeletons from the corebook. Skeleton's initiatives: 6d20+5= 11, 20, 12, 16, 17, 25 And Warlock's initiative. Warlock's initiative: 1d20+3=4 Once everyone else has their initiative up, I'll get the order so we can get this battle a-rollin'.

  21. The dog smells the phantom meat, and happily pads over to eat it. It quickly snaps up the lamb, and it gives the trio the disturbing image of the meat traveling through the dog's rib cage. "Eww..." Warlock said, gagging. The grave necromancer turns around. "What was that?" His voice was a ragged whisper, and the three could see the dark magicks had taken a toll on his body. He wore a black suit, covered with grave dirt, and they could tell his skin was a corpse-like grey. He looked at them, and they could see he was nearly emaciated. "I sensed that there were intruders. No matter, of course." He smiled casually at them, and raised a hand. Six skeletal warriors rose from the ground, brandishing swords and cackling menacingly. "Try and get me."
  22. Blake grinned as he found her spot. "Oh I know." He winked, although he realized that she couldn't see his reaction. He straightened up to see what everyone was looking at, and found himself looking at the gentleman superhero, Supercape! He waved and smiled broadly, one hand on Jessica's shoulder. "Hey there, 'Cape! Long time, no see!" He smiled and nodded when Supercape spoke about cricket, knowing not at all what the sport was.

Warlock would totally be up for it.
  24. Mad Dog smiled and greeted the other contestants as he munched on a pastry. He had to partially remove his mask in order to take bites. "I was wondering about that too. To be honest, I've never fought against any actual superhumans before, so this'll be a new experience for me. Not one that I'm unprepared for, though." He smiled feistily, and cracked his knuckles. Mad Dog gave the man a short bow, because he really was not sure what else to do.
