  1. Blake kissed Jessica on the cheek- how could he forget! "Oh Christ, that was terrifying! I'm glad we took out whatever ghost in the machine that was haunting the park. That was quite an uneventful date, as I recall." He absently ran his fingers through her hair as he admired the lovely view of London. "We really have had some wild times. I'm really surprised I've only run into one super-criminal so far. God, it's lovely up here, though. Makes you really cherish the brief moments of rest we do get though, right?" He suddenly moved in, and gave her a slow, loving kiss on the lips. "Thank you for taking me on this vacation, babe. You know it means the world to me being here with you."
  2. Blake shrugged a little. "Meh. I've fought worse minions. They were just a bunch of punks, really." He watched the droogs being loaded in the police van, and shook his head. "One thing I like about magic is that you can improvise. I had a fear talisman on hand, and they all freaked out and ran." He put an arm gently about her waist, and planted a loving kiss on her cheek. "So you said this was the life we live, right babe? I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world." His hand gently stroked her waist as they walked. "But all of that wizardry did work up an appetite. Let's find something terrible/awesome to eat.
  3. Blake placed his arms around her waist and held her close. "Thanks, Jessica. You know I wish this didn't have to be about supervillains, for once in our lives. I guess even on vacation we're never really on break." He kissed her gently on the lips, and sighed. "Hey, well, at least we're in Europe. It'd be a terrible waste not to see the sights between fights with the finest supervillains this country has to offer." His mouth curled into a smirk. "I think this vacation still has plenty of room for badassery. What do you think, cutie?" Blake's eyes fell to her T-shirt, and he vaguely contemplated having a "FOR MAGIC!" shirt made.
  4. Gregory sat down on the couch, very pleased with how well it went over. He put a hand over her shoulder and gave her a smile. "Oh, sure!" He carefully handed the saxaphone to her, as if he was afraid that his rough hands would break it. "I wasn't really sure which brand to get, but it's a tenor Yamaha. I figured that they make pretty good quality...everything. I just figured you'd like to hear your man show off his sensitive and artistic side. And uhh, about the George Michael song. I happen to kind of have a thing for him. Not him, you know, but his music."
  5. Blake, his face blushing deeply at the sight of his girlfriend and lover being nearly naked, decided it was wise to shield his eyes with his hand. "It could have gone better, honey." He sat down on the bed, facing towards the window, to allow Jessica a chance to put some clothes on. "So I ran into this supervillain who was about to thrash the museum. I couldn't sit by and let him destroy the artifacts, so I had to fight him as Warlock. The fight...could have been going better, when this guy called the Fisher King showed up and assisted me. So, in short, my bad. I know this vacation was supposed to be for us, but I can't just sit by and watch a crime take place. You understand, right?"
  6. "Thanks, Fisher-" "Oh. That's okay, I suppose." Blake walked to the nearest lavatory, and changed back into his civilian clothes. As he folded his robes back into his backpack, he realized the villain still had his sleeping powder in his posession. "Dammit!" Blake shouted. He then hit his head against his palm. He brought more than just that pouch. It was uncharacteristic of him to leave anything to chance. He strolled from the museum, hands in his pockets, and walked back to the hotel. He waited in the elevator, the canned music wafting gently from the speakers calming him. It was one hell of a vacation so far- he already met a British superhero and villain! Although the timing couldn't have been worse for poor Blake, who just wanted to view the art, he was glad to have helped fight against the vagrants. The elevator doors opened, and Blake strode to the room, where he quietly tip-toed to the bed.
  7. "Uh, thanks. I guess. I did appreciate the help, Fisher King." There were many things Blake knew about, but Arthurian legend wasn't one of them. He didn't exactly know what kind of theme he was going for, but he figured that Europe was a different place with a different culture. "Who is this punk anyway? I was just checking out the museum when him and his thug friends wrecked up the place. I couldn't stand for him destroying the art." Blake remembered Jessica in the hotel room, and he hoped he hadn't awoken her. He would have to tell her about his grand adventure when he got back to the room, and although he regretted having to go hero on his vacation, it was something he enjoyed doing.
  8. Mad Dog smiled a bit as he heard his girlfriend shout over the rumble of the engine. "I think you'll like the surprise I got for you?" After a few minutes, Mad Dog pulled into the parking lot of her flat, and killed the engine. He helped his lovely girlfriend off the bike, and the two walked up to her apartment. He sat her down in the living room, and ran into their bedroom. "Wait here, honey." Gregory came back after a few minutes, his mask removed, and a black T-shirt worn instead of his leather jacket. He had in his hand a saxaphone, and he smiled at her. "So, I've really only learned one song, but I hope you enjoy it." He started a famous saxaphone riff and sang the lyrics to her in a rough, but pleasant voice. Gregory still had a lot to learn, but the saxaphone sounded clear as a bell.
  9. I editted his crunch a few days ago if anyone wants to have a look.
  10. Thanks, dude. Warlock uses his Lightning Wand, so that's a DC 19 Reflex to avoid half-damage, and a DC 24 Toughness if it connects.
  11. Warlock took a huge breath, and it let go. Although he was glad the fight was over, he would have liked to knock out the art vandal himself. It was good that Europe had at least one other superhero to help, at the very least. He would never admit it to him, but the droogie may have even taken him out if the fight had dragged on any longer. "Thank you, Fisher King. I'm glad you came when you did. This vandal was destroying priceless artifacts. Here- lemme get him for you." Warlock drew his lightning wand, and aimed an eldritch bolt of lightning at the helpless thug.
  12. Janis sat down next to the guitarist, and listened. She closed her eyes, and she opened them as the final notes were hit. "That was lovely, Warren. You have a genuine talent for the guitar. I bet you play that one for all the girls though." she said with a smirk. Janis turned around and saw his captive audience. "By the way, does that happen everytime you play the guitar?" She stood up, holding a hand out to help Warren stand. "So, want to go to the Doom Room?"
  13. "Oh, relax. I just brought you down to size. It's magic, silly. Nothing dangerous, of course. If I were dangerous, you'd be a smouldering pile of ash right now. So, are you ready to give up yet? Can we end this charade and let me turn you over to the police? I'm really just trying to enjoy my damn vacation here." He drew his lightning wand and pointed it at the droogie's face. "Now, do we have an agreement?"
  14. Janis' eyebrows raised. "Now that would definitely be cool." She had heard the guitarist on CD and on her iPod, of course, but she had never seen any of their concerts. She crossed her arms and waved a hand at him. "Go on, then! Play something that'll melt my friggin' face off!" She smiled to let him know that her teasing was good-natured. Warren seemed like a cool enough guy. She'd have to ask for free tickets to one of his shows sometime.
  15. The villain thrashed and tried to run for it, but the cops were on him quickly, slapping handcuffs on his wrists. The rocker went kicking and screaming to the police van, nearly biting one of the officers. "You haven't seen the last of me! YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE LAST OF GUITARMAGEDDON! ROCK AND ROLL FOREVER!" The last that the two heroes saw of him were his hand making the "metal fist" gesture before he was slammed into the van. "Oh geez, that's the worst cliche in the book. Almost as bad as 'you'll rue the day you heard the name of fill-in-the-blank'. But yes, home sounds like a good plan, dear." Gregory, or rather, Mad Dog, hopped on the back of his Harley. He smiled behind his hockey mask as his lovely girlfriend slid her hands around his waist. "We'll be home before you can say-" He cut himself off with the revving of the motorcycle's powerful engine, and they were off.
  16. Janis smiled and walked alongside Warren. "I'm just holding out until it gets cold in the winter. It's like the friggin' North Pole!" She shivered at the thought. "Sorry. I much prefer it when it's warm outside...I don't even mind the heat. I'd much rather be wearing something cute than bundled up like a mummy." She closed her eyes for a moment, enjoying the pleasant weather. "It actually is really nice out here. Would you rather hang out outside, or go to the Doom Room?"
  17. "God, you know, I'm really trying to understand what you're saying, but it just isn't happening." He chuckled a little to himself, and then turned to the droog. "Okay, so you have my magic powder. Aaaand like I've said a bunch of times before, I'm a magician. I have more than one thing up my sleeve. In fact-" Blake took a second to pull something out of his robes. It was a small pocketwatch, with a stylized bolt of lightning on the front. "This is a pocketwatch. Not just any ordinary pocketwatch. Watch this." He held the watch in his hand, and pointed it at the droog. Temporal magicks reversed the man's incredible strength, and shrunk his muscular arms down to twigs. "Pretty cool, huh?"
  18. I'll use that HP to Power Stunt the following... Drain Strength 9 (Extras: Ranged, Alternate Save [Will, +0] Feats: Slow Fade 5, Improved Critical 2) (25 pp) And he will use it! Hells yeah! A 24 attack roll. I'd assume that hits, and that's a DC 19 Will to avoid being drain-ulated.
  19. Mad Dog removed the sanitized gloves, and wiped a bit of sweat from his forehead. He was glad for his medical training, and it came in handy during an emergency. "I think she'll be okay, Guan Yu. If it would please you, I would volunteer to stand guard for you. The others appear to be occupied at the moment, but if you're attacked, I'd like to be able to defend. So, what is your decision?" He tried to address the emperor with as much respect as possible. "If...you think it would help."
  20. Janis raised an eyebrow, then her brain started to tick again. "Doy! I forgot that thing wasn't completely automated. Yeah, I think permission would probably be a fantastic idea. I'm glad you can think, because I have a sliiiight tendancy to act on impulse a lot of the time. Like all of the time." She paused for a moment, and scratched the back of her head. "Every time. Yeah. But where would be find Mr. Summers at this time of day? I really have just met him once...I hope he'd let us check out the Doom Room." She looked around her, and rubbed her shoulders. "It is awfully nice out."
  21. Janis mentally gave herself a high-five. Works every time. "I don't think Archer will mind us just doing a quick practice run, don't you think? I really think as superheroes, we should be able to take initiative to practice on our own. After all, does a baseball coach yell at his players when he sees them playing catch? I doubt it." She hoped he'd spring for it, but Janis wasn't about to get him in trouble if he wasn't along for the ride. It was about time she started to bend a few rules here and there. As much as she loved Claremont, she also loved having a little flexibility with the regulations. "But that's up to you, man. We can get his permission if you'd like."
  22. Janis laughed in surprise. "Oh man that was cool!" She lowered her eyes and grinned at him. "And I know you're Rift. I just wanted to see you show off too. I think any good Octopus Dropkick fan knows the guitarist is actually a super-guitarist. So, to the Doom Room?" Her mind already occupied by the upcoming visit to the Doom Room, Janis proceeded to finish her burger and walked up to throw away her trash, giving Warren a good look at her outfit. She was wearing a pink spaghetti strap shirt, and a modestly short summer skirt, along with her worn Converse High-Tops. "Dude, are we going or what?" She said, almost at the door.
  23. Guitarmageddon dropped his guitar. It crashed on the stage and made a loud screech as the amplifiers blew out. He dropped to his knees, and held his face in his hands. He knew it was over for him- that he had lost. Mad Dog popped up out of the seats, ready to fight. "What's going on?" he asked. "Your lady just beat me." the young rocker said. As he walked off the stage, he flipped the bird to Gossamer and Mad Dog, utterly defeated. "Well, that was rude of him." Mad Dog said matter-of-factly. "Should we call the cops? I guess he didn't technically commit any crimes, other than disturbing the peace."
  24. Janis grinned like a maniac and stood up. "Glad you asked." She clapped her hands together, and slowly moved them apart. Bolts of crackling lightning formed between her hands, glowing and scintillating with a white-hot glow. "I control lightning! I'm also known as Zap." Not noticing the stares and possible groans of her fellow classmates, she sat back down with Warren and smiled. "So the Doom Room, huh? Sounds like a lot of fun. What are your powers, Warren?"
