  1. The intern led the Emissary through a maze of hallways to the 1st floor conference room. Lady Liberty was there, sitting at the table, drinking a cup of tea and scrolling through reports on a view screen. When the pair entered, Lady Liberty put down her cup and stood up. "Emissary, welcome. Please, have a seat. Can we get you anything to drink?"

  3. Sounds like you guys have a working plan then. Write the ending how you like. Dr A, if you would close this down when everyone is done! PM me if you need me for anything else.
  4. That is a common complaint I've heard with Vista. In fact, it seems to be the complaint I hear.
  5. Strange. The logs are clean, and it appears to be working fine now. I'll keep an eye out.
  6. I'll update tonight and get us to the next part of the story. Heritage, if you are feeling up to it, feel free to post.
  7. Yep, that's a miss. Round 2. Affliction, you're up. You can RP VM's "miss" however you like.
  8. The other two boys continued swatting at the bugs and tried to run away from the strange newcomers. Brad ran back toward the playground, apparently forgetting about the chain link fence. He ran headlong into it and fell to the ground, out cold. Sam headed in the other direction, hoping to duck behind the nearby row of houses to get away. The third boy turned blue and collapsed to the ground completely limp.
  9. We can go as fast or as slow as you like. I should be able to post again here tonight, so if you want to take it bit by bit, that will be fine with me.
  10. One of the League interns greeted the Emissary at the door. "Mr. Emissary," he said. He was trying to look serious, but he was obviously star struck. "Please, come right in. Lady Liberty is waiting for you in the conference room." The intern held the door open to make way for the silver hero.
  11. Alrighty, that takes care of the bad guys. How did you guys want to end this thing?
  12. Dr Archeville's shot was dead on this time. The blast hit the Tech Priest in the head and sent him sprawling to the floor. He was out cold.
  13. I actually agree with your sentiment. I'm all about the simple. But Ultimate Power really is Mutants and Masterminds 2.5e. I typically consider it the new and improved errata for the M&M core book. :D
  14. The view of life that McCarthy gives us a peek into in the ending of No Country for Old Men, he displays in all its hideous glory in The Road. It has an ending too . . . which is surprisingly hopeful.
  15. Eeeeeeew . . . Fort Save, Con Save (1d20-1=4, 1d20-1=13) Failed and failed. He is unconscious. Will be dying next round, and dead the round after.
  16. I'm going to archive this. If you get some interested folks, PM me (or any Staff Member) and we'll reopen it for you.
  17. Just making the rounds again. Are you guys all done here, or are you coming back to this?
  18. Dr. A. speaks truly. We have not allowed any feats from any book other than the Mastermind's Manual as yet, and then only on a case-by-case basis. If there is a specific feat you want us to consider, post it here and we will.
  19. Thanks for all of the input on this guys. We'll decide something on this in June and let you all know. Keep posting!
  20. I have seen nothing about further outages in our logs, so I'm guessing the problem was resolved by our host. Let me know if you experience any further difficulties.
  21. The alley is filled with smoke and everyone is obscured from everyone else (presumably). Your move.
  22. The alley filled up with smoke, and the shooters disappeared from Ronin's sight . . . as presumably he did from theirs. He could smell them though the smoke: sweat, gunpowder, the smells of war. But the shooters made no sound and didn't fire.
