  1. I was thinking of several possible scenarios. Either something is troubling Master Lee and he's covering it up, hence the Sense Motive check. Or, the Master Lee we're seeing now is an imposter or . . . I really don't know - I was leaving it for Referees to come up with the conflict. Either way, I was hoping to take on a room full of goons or something similar. Hopefully that makes sense.

  4. "It's an great technique. Hard to maneuver around," Nightrival says as he applies the blue gel to his injuries. "Man, this stuff is cold!" he exclaims. Within a few brief moments the areas lathered in gel begin to tingle. Soon, the bruises turn from purple-black to pink and the swelling diminishes at a remarkable rate. The roaring pain throbbing in his chest and head dies down. Nightrival fully recovers within a minute, a new surge of energy coursing through him. He takes a long pull from a nearby water bottle, tosses it over his shoulder and resumes a new drop stance. "Ready when you are." -- Nightrival laughs. "Yeah, you're right. I have a lot to learn about this whole superhero gig." "But, I have no idea where to go from here," he continues. "I've been shakin' down dealers for two weeks and nothing has come up. I was hoping ya got some insight into all this. Though, we could start from square one if y'want."

  13. I'm a Canadian university student currently studying in Europe. I started gaming in PbP forums because I was away from my FtF group, and I couldn't organize a game here. So far I've had quite a lot of fun. My username is a character I conceived a couple of years ago but I never had a chance to play him. Now I have a opportunity to bring him to life! My first RPG was AD&D 2nd Edition over fifteen years ago, and I started gaming again recently. I've also played Heroes Unlimited, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Wars, Call of Cthulhu and Warhammer. Since I've been reading comics for almost twenty-five years it made sense to play a supers RPG. Normally I GM but like many in that role I've been wanting to play on the other side of the GM screen. I do some writing and copy-editing on the side, and I've been an English tutor for six years or so.

I chose Daredevil as my avatar simply because he's my favourite character.

  19. This just occurred to me: after we've completed the meet-and-greet portion of the story, one possibility is to carry on into a new thread in the Southside forum and play out busting the drug ring. A Referee can come up with a NPC villian or a player can bring his or her villian character into the story. Of course, I'd understand if you're not into that. We can resolve that segment of the story through co-operative story-telling, or not at all.
