  2. "I have caused many a water park fiasco...girls seem to stampede me..." Jack said with a grin. "I have no idea why..." His smiled widened. He looked to Alexa. "Da, I dabble a little bit...would you like a picture?" He looked around to see if he could find a pad of paper.
  3. Jack leaned back against the wall and listened to the girls, with a smile on his face. He was enjoying his time at this school already. "Da and perhaps I can draw logo for you girls.." he said softly as they talked. It was not a subject many knew about him. He had been an artist for a long time, something he had learned from his Father. He loved drawing, especially comics, and had a large folder of drawings he kept under his bed.
  4. Jack flashed Lexa a mischievous grin and a wink of his own. "That's how I sleep..." His smiled widened a little before turning his attention to Alexa and her question. "Da, a polar bear indeed." He ran a hand through his hair. "Why my hair is white." He leaned back on the bed resting on his hands.
  5. "I am also fond of the Big Mac.." Jack said with a grin at her question. It was more like several big Macs...but that seemed irrelevant to the conversation. He felt heartened by Lexa's enthusiasm over his abilities. He hadn't really thought of them in that way...but having someone be a fan of them was encouraging. He took note of the flame jutting from her thumb and the spray can of seemingly fake skin. "I see you have interesting abillty as well melady." He opened and closed his hands, looking at them for a moment. "Perhaps one day you shall see my ability...tho hopefully not after you have eaten...it is not always pleasant da."
  6. Jack smiled a little, noticing Alexa slide away from him. "Do not fear lil'one. I have enough control of my ability. You are in no damger. From me." He said, trying to reassure her. "But I fear this room is too small for a proper demonstration in any case." He continued waving a hand dismissively. "And da, a very big bear lil'one."
  7. Jack looked a little uncertain at the question, his smile faltering for a second before returning. He thought back to that day when he first changed...the day he lost control. He had come a long way since then. He wondered if he should be honest. He immediately knew he could be nothing less then honest with these two. They had treated him well and deserved truth and honesty. He sat on Alexa's bed and looked at the two. "Da, I have abilities. I was attacked and nearly killed by Polar Bear in my home country." Jack said softly. "It left my on brink of life, and was killed by my grandfather. I was in coma for months and after, I was like this. This is as much as parents know..." He looked at his giant hands. "But there is more. The spirit of bear is still inside me...I can change form." He had never told anyone this...and he found himself surprised that he could tell these ladies all of this...but Jack knew he had a soft spot for girls. Plus he was at a place for people like him...and if he couldn't talk about it here...then he would never truely learn to control his power. He didn't want to live in fear of himself.
  8. Jack paid polite attention as Alexa describe the features of the Dorms. When they arrived at the room, he followed her inside, bending down slightly to avoid hitting his head on the top of the door... something he had become used to, although it was another reason he preferred to be outside. He smiled at Alexa's roommate's enthusiasm, a welcome refreshment to most of America's boring adherance to political correctness. He took her hand in his, much the same as he had Alexa's, kissing the back of it politely in greeting. "Dobry den melady Lexa." He flashed her a genuine smile. "It is most pleasure to meet you. Any friend of Alexa must be of highest caliber." He continued in his thick English accent. He looked from Lexa to Alexa and back. "Alexa...Lexa...da, not at this school for hour and already meet the prettiest girls. I do enjoy America sometimes. And do not fret, I am not partial to tidiness, and you are most right, Lil'one is most smart. Smarter then I by leaps." He gave both women another smile, delighted by how the day was turning out.
  9. "<Boys are stupid.>" Jack agreed with a nod. "< Well most people are afraid of silly things like that...but not me. You are smart and fun with a good head on your small shoulders. Hopefully you do not think ill of me. I have a tendency to say things without thinking.>" Jack offered her a reassuring smile so that she knew he did not think wrong things about her. She was probably the nicest person he had met since coming to America.
  10. Jack put a steadying hand on the smaller girls shoulder. "<Fear not lil'one, I apologize for making you flustered. It was just a joke, I don't assume you to have any Ill intentions milady. Forgive my rudeness.>" Jack was immediately sorry for his joke, he hadn't meant anything by it...now he felt bad. He hoped he hadn't ruined his friendship. He remained silent as they walked towards the dormitory.
  11. "< Your glowing recommendation of this place has convinced me to stay here I think. Plus I'll get to see you more, so that is nice as well. I have no doubts I will enjoy it here. >” Jacksmiled big at her words. "<I would love to meet any friend of yours lil'one.>" He gave her a playful grin. "<Taking me to your bedroom already...my you do move fast.>" He chuckled softly to himself.
  12. Jack finished his sandwich in one last bite and chewed for a moment before speaking, completely oblivious to Alexa's fussing and momentary distractions. He was lost in thoughts ranging from how good the sandwich was to the cafeteria and gathering place for studying. "<It is a nice enough place I suppose...but I prefer to be outside as much as possible. Nature is beautiful and more relaxing then any place indoors.>" He commented as they walked. He lifted the statue in a gesture to draw her attention to it. "<Your studies have certainly been worth the efforts lil'one.>"
  13. "<Lil'one you honor me with such a gift...I fear I do not have anything as nice as this for you...>" Jack said with sincerity. Without warning he scooped her up in his arms for a giant bear hug before setting her back on the ground. "<You are indeed a very special girl lil'one.>" He held the statue gingerly in his big hands, not wanting to damage it. He was going to find a special place in his room to put this.
  14. Jack raised an eyebrow and smiled as he heard one of his native tongues. "<Well lil'one you are full of surprises. Do not be sorry, English is an interesting language, and I do need the practice.>" He took a large bite of sandwich and chewed thoughtfully. "<You know, you are too hard on yourself milady. Being smart is an excellent ability, Don't sell yourself short. And yes...my size is a lot for for people to take in...>” He grinned at the expression, and then returned her smile wholeheartedly. "<Too many people in this country do not know the power of a good laugh. I am glad you do. You are a very special person milady.>" He took another bite of his sandwich.
  15. "Well you look in quite good health to me lil'one." He commented as he took a plate and tray and piled it with enough bread, meats and cheeses to make a good 10 sandwiches. "I hope they do not mind if I make a light snack. My...how you say...me-ta-bolism? Is quite high." He added some fruit to the plate and rejoined her to continue the tour, absently making a sandwich. "What is it you do? Besides smile and make good laugh I mean...those cannot be your only super power..." He said with a smile. He found her easy to get along with, and was enjoying his tour with her.
  16. "As you probably can see, I rarely miss a meal..." He said with a laugh, not even noticing the small pause in his companions stride at his words. "Da I have abilities as you say. Tho no one has ever seen them thankfully. I am glad to hear you speak so highly of this place. It gives confidence." He chuckled softly. "And no...I don't suppose a lil thing like you eats very much...but make sure you eat enough...cannot have my newest friend starving. That we cannot."
  17. "Well would not want you tripping, no." He smiled. "Not when you have been so kind to me. That would make me look very bad, no?" He studied the places she pointed out on their tour. "I have only recently come to this country." He said as they walked. "I have not given much thought to studies. But I do know that there is things within me that need control." He looked at her. "I suppose that would be good place to start?"
  18. "Dobry den melady Alexa." Jack said with a warm smile as they stepped outside into the refreshing cool weather. He noticed her shiver slightly. "Would'st you like my hoodie to keep warm? I would not like you to be uncomfortable in this vonderful weather..." He asked in his thick accent. She might notice he was only wearing a hoodie and shorts in this weather and unaffected. He took off the hoodie and offered it to her without thinking. "And da, a tour would be most excellent, I am undecided if I will stay on campus...but if everyone is as nice as you, this would be nice place I think."
  19. 1/14/18 Outside Clairemont Jack slouched heavily in the front seat of the minivan. He wasn't sure why his parents insisted on having the “typical middle class” experience...but he loved their excitement for it. He only wished they had a car he fit in…but he knew he didn't really fit in most vehicles anymore. The minivan pulled to a stop outside his new school and Jack looked out at the prestigious building. “<Vanya I know this has all been a lot..>” His mother said in Russian. “<But I hope it hasn't been too much on you…>” Jack gave her his biggest Grin. “<Oh mother, you know me...I can handle anything.>” Jack exited the car and his mother followed as they made their way towards the office. As they got there, the door opened and a cute girl ran into him, though he barely felt the impact. She muttered apologies. Jack gave her a big grin and took her hand gently. “Da, do not trouble yourself over it melady.” Jack said in his thick English accent and kissed her hand softly in greeting, bending at the waist slightly due to her smaller stature. “I do apologize for startling you. You may call me Jack lil’one.”

  21. Vanya "Jack” Davydov Power Level: 10 (150/150PP) Unspent Power Points: 0 Trade-Offs: NONE In Brief: Jack is an extremely laid back guy with a love for nature and protecting others. Due to the Animal spirit bonded to him, Jack has become a Shaman, capable of changing into a Polar Bear Hybrid. Alternate Identity: Arctos Birthplace: St. Petersburg, Russia Residence: Clairemont Academy Occupation: Student/Hero Family: Ivan Davydov (Father), Rada Davydov (Mother) Description: Age: 17 (DoB: September 9, 2001) Apparent Age: 21 Gender: Male Ethnicity: Russian, Siberian Ket Height: 6’6” (11' standing 5' all fours AF) Weight: 300 lbs (1,500 lbs AF) Eyes: Blue Hair: White Jack is a giant among teens, and even among adults. He sometimes gets mistaken for an adult at first glance. Jack has strong Siberian Ket features, softened only slightly by his Russian heritage. He has tan skin and white hair. He is extremely well built, and anyone who saw him would immediately wonder if he was on steroids, which of course he isn't, but being able to change into a giant polar bear gives a person very good genes. Jack is a quiet, laid back individual. His beast’s chaotic nature can often make him quick to show emotions like anger, however, and it is a constant battle to keep his temper in check when he feels threatened, friends are in danger, or his territory is threatened. All of his life Jack has lived with nature and taken care of it. He would often spend the entire summer in a tent in some remote location with his grandparents in Siberia, living off the land and enjoying the unspoiled natural beauty around them. Kids would often make fun of him for always talking about nature and different adventures he had had, but this inevitably bounced off his thick skin. Jack is quick to blame himself for everything, even if it is not his fault, and as a result he has a hard time saying no to anyone, and always feels he has to save everyone. Jack typically wears very little, just enough to be modest in most cultures. He typically wears basketball shorts and a sleeveless hoodie, which is often left unzipped. In most climates his body overheats in warm weather, so the lack of clothing helps to some extent. In colder climates he may wear pants. Jack rarely wears shoes, as he finds them uncomfortable. Push comes to shove he will wear flip flops or sandals. History: Jack has always been at home in the wilds, far from civilization and the comforts of town and technology. While he was raised in the city, his heart always belonged to nature, the solitude of being the only thinking creature for miles in any direction. Jack has always had a keen sense of his surroundings, and rarely has ever gotten lost. Growing up Jack had a fairly comfortable childhood. His father, Ivan, is a respected artist in St. Petersburg. He was on vacation in a remote part of Siberia, painting scenes for a new collection, when he met Rada. The two courted for several months while Ivan painted. When it was time for Ivan to return home, he asked Rada to come with him and they were soon married. It was his mother who encouraged his love of nature, herself coming from a long line of the Ket peoples in Siberia. During a trip to visit his grandparents, Jack and his grandfather went on a rite of passage of sorts, embarking on a wilderness survival journey. During this Journey, Jack was gravely injured by a Polar Bear. His grandfather managed to kill the bear, but Jack was near death and a very long way from a hospital. His Grandfather did not think Jack would make the journey, but he carried him to the hospital, nonetheless. Unbeknownst to Jack or his Grandfather, the spirits had taken pity on Jack, and woven the spirit of the bear into Jack's spirit, to give him enough strength to survive. This changed Jack's life forever. Jack spent the next several months in a coma, awakening as a new man, with little memory of the incident. Doctors couldn't explain how Jack had survived, and at the time, Jack had cared little as to the why, just glad he had survived. About a month after his release from the hospital, Jack began to notice changes. His body had wasted away during the coma, and so he had begun therapy to recover his muscle strength, making astounding progress. His appetite increased, eating nearly everything in the house several times over. As his body healed it grew, gaining several hundred pounds of muscle and almost a foot of height in the span of a month. It was becoming clear that Jack was changing into something different. His parents, fearing for his safety and wanting him to have something of a life, sent him to live with his grandparents, away from the prying eyes of the city. It was here that Jack shifted for the first time, coming across a seal while taking a long walk. The animal spirit inside him Awakened at the chance for a delicious meal, and there was little Jack could do to hold back his inner beast. Over the next year Jack worked hard to learn to contain the beast inside, still only managing marginal control in certain instances, but managing to control himself well enough to feel at ease being around people. It was about this time that his parents sent word to him to come home for a visit. He did so gladly, eager to see his family. His Father worked long hours as curator of a museum in their hometown, making visits difficult, on top of inclement weather and long travel times. When he returned home he was warmly welcomed by his parents and told of something wonderful. His father had been offered a job in America. Jack had the choice of staying with his grandparents, or moving with them to America. While part of him longed to stay in the countryside with his grandparents, something else urged him to go. It wasn't long after they arrived in Freedom City that Jack learned about the Clairemont Academy. He had never told his parents about the shift into animal form, he was scared they would look at him in fear, but his parents had definitely noticed his size increase, as well as increased strength and stamina. His parents thought it a good idea for him to go to a private school, and Jack prepares for his first semester of school in America. Personality & Motivation: Jack is the Epitome of “Don't provoke a sleeping bear”. He is very laid back, until you provoke him, then he can often be scary. Beneath the calm surface he has the spirit of a beast fighting to get out. He can be quick to anger when certain buttons are pushed, but he tries to keep control of himself. Jack is motivated by a love for all things. He understands that there is a cycle of life, and he seeks to preserve freedom in its various forms. He seeks to protect everyone he meets, and doesn't take kindly to anyone messes with someone he seems under his protection. Powers & Tactics: Jack is a brawler by nature, his beastial spirit always seeking to prove itself dominant in any situation. He makes use of his heightened senses when he can, but has a tendency to run into things and start smashing. Power Descriptions: He turns into a giant fuzzy Polar Bear/Hybrid.. His attacks are Bludgeoning or Slashing damage with his fists and claws, and piercing with his teeth. His abilities come from the Bear spirit within him, and as such are Spiritual or Celestial in nature. Complications: Predator: Jack tends to give off an aura that screams 'predator'. This affects people and animals to some degree, inciting panic in civilians who don't know him in his Bear forms. Beastial Nature: Jack is aggressive in his hybrid form, and finds it difficult to back out of a fight, due to his inner beast wanting to prove it's dominance. Colorblind: In his bear forms, Jack can't really distinguish colors; everything looks grayscale. Growls: In Bear Form, Jack is able to speak, however, the angrier he gets the more his bear spirit will take over, which can sometime reduce his speech to animal growls.
