  1. Skaere doesn't have much of a reputation. More than likely set would probably know that there are rumors of a creature matching her description. Though this creature isn't attacking people. The rumors are that it actually seemed to be helping people. For example an attempted mugging where the mugger was attacked by this creature and the original victim was unharmed. I doubt the victims would have really seen her as helping, like our business man here but that would have been her intent.
  2. Polarity gave Solvrytter a nod. “Yes. They should not have access to that kind of equipment.†She watched each young man as they both thought that through. Solvrytter understanding it less while Nevermore was already seeming to find a way to turn it in his favor. Her gaze narrowed and Polarity turned to better face Nevermore. “No, nothing more than just street thugs. What are you-“ She stopped when the word ‘dragon’ stole her voice. “You are joking right? Tell me you are joking. There is no way they have a dragon in there. No way.†She let her eyes roam over the windows, trying to see a glimpse of whatever it was that seemed to spook nevermore. “Dragons aren’t real.â€
  3. I have no idea what the consequences of failing this are. I have zero chance of passing the save. Toughness: 1d20+7 21
  4. Intimidate against the faux-werewolf. She's looking pretty scary! Intimidate: 1d20+8 27
  5. Charlie’s head snapped up. Eyes that were once watching her boots as they tapped against the concrete were wide as they stared into the darkness of the forest. The howl made her skin tingle and her heart pound. There are only a few beats before she strips off her coat, tossing it and kicking her boots into a bush nearby. She barely had time to note where she was when she takes off. She didn't bother with the rest of her clothing. She’s taken to shopping a thrift stores and wearing old clothing when she goes out a night, things she won’t mind shredding. Her eyes flashed a brilliant green a moment before the shift happened. She’d been practicing. What used to take several very uncomfortable minutes happens in only a few seconds. Her posture shifted, her limbs elongating. Her form bulked, muscles growing and shifting and rendering her clothes to tatters. Her nails lengthened and sharpened to claws and a bushy tail sprouted from her lower back as her neck thickens. Her head elongated and teeth sharpened with lupine fangs. A fine coat of blonde and white fur sprouted over her body, thicker and darker at her shoulders and up her head in a very mohawk like mane. Her form was still feminine, but now more a mix of wolf and woman. Her head was shaped almost identically to that of a large wolf’s, except more balanced for her size. Large ears swiveled to narrow in on the source of the commotion and her strong legs carried her faster than any human could ever move. When she came upon the scene, Skaere only had time to react. She sees the scared human and the creature closing on it. She acted not as an instinctual predator, but as a human. She placed herself between predator and prey and issuing a loud growl of her own. Her eyes glowed a brilliant green and she bared her teeth in a way meant to make this…. Monster think twice.
  6. After making sure those wannabe Dragons had no way of hurting anyone and their crew took some time to stake out the Dragon’s lair, Polarity took a few moments to explain to Nevermore and Solvrytter what she saw in their equipment. “It definitely isn't street level. The tech is too advanced. You’d expect these guys to wield maybe modified versions of what you can get off the street right? That stuff was too sophisticated. The flame throwers looked almost like modified scuba gear but I’m not familiar with one of the compounds they are using. And the tazers… the voltage seems a little high for your average tazer. They should be blowing through those batteries like they are nothing. The shafts are too small for any normal battery with that kind of capacity. Wherever their gear came from, it’s not your average stuff. We need to be careful in there. Who knows what else they have.†She looks down from the rooftop they have claimed as their new vantage point, watching the entrance with uncertainty.

  8. You couldn't really call her detour a detour. There comes a point where going out of your way on the way home becomes just... going there. She'd read about the attack in the park and maybe it was her situation coloring her vision but she couldn't help but wonder if the attack wasn't done by something bigger than a coyote. Something potentially bipedal and that spent most of it's time without fur. Maybe it was just her wanting to meet others like her. Maybe it was more of a hopeful wish. She didn't think much about how other werewolves could be potentially.... I dunno, hostile? She wasn't overly hostile unless provoked. The were that turned her didn't go around tearing people up. She almost wanted to believe that the legends had it all wrong. That just being a werewolf didn't make her bad. Maybe a little scary. Definitely scary. It's the reason she's prepared the name she has if she ever needs to give it: Skaere. There were heroes in this city that helped people... Why couldn't a werewolf be among them? She certainly managed to do a little good in these last couple of months. That purse snatcher that peed himself for example. It was a situation a lot like her current one. A woman walking a night, all alone. The jerk comes out of nowhere, snatches her purse and runs. Only she saw it all. She's much faster than a human now and the man didn't get far. Her own musings make Charlie laugh. Hands stuffed into her pockets as her booted feet click on the paved sidewalk. A breeze rustles through and she shivers, a hand coming up to ruffle through her neatly trimmed blonde mohawk. It's short, only an inch or two long but the rest of it is buzzed almost gone, leaving her head feeling rather cold. She puts the hood of her jacket up and keeps walking. She doesn't have much of a destination, really just checking the place out.
  9. Polarity >Braving the Lair >Some Things Should Never Be Found
  10. Yeah. I don't know much about what Cho usually gets up to. I wouldn't be against them working together on occassion or even just running into each other. But your assessment of Charlie is probably accurate. Urban fantasy inclined and more supernatural. Not quiet sure if going after bank robbers would be her thing but... I don't think she would ignore a crime in progress. That's just not the type of stuff I want her normally involved in. I do want her to get to know other heroes. Branch out.
  11. Well I want her to pick up some allies and affiliations. obviously. I don't want her being a lone wolf forever. (yay puns) I kind of want her to stay more toward the supernatural side of everything, being a werewolf and all. I don't know what Mindsteel really gets himself into. For her first thread I was kind of hoping to maybe get a couple of other heroes involved? See how she meshes with them. I really just need place for her to start at this point.
  12. Polarity's smirk barely faltered as the two men came after her. Neither was much of a threat. The fire did little to disguise the arc of the baton and Polarity's natural grace was more than enough to let her duck and turn well out of harm’s way. Her distraction was a success. The enemy was scattered, distracted by her and within moments picked apart by her comrades. Score one for them. It's easy enough to stay out of the way as people drop and Polarity looks down at the Dragons and makes a soft clicking noise with her tongue. "Cocky little jerks." She laughs, toeing at one of them with her boot. It makes him shift, head turning so his mask scrapes softly against the pavement. Polarity crouches, finding how the mask is held on and slipping it free. She listens to what the guys around her are saying but her focus is on their gear. On how the mask opens up to spit fire, the hose leading to the tank on his back. She reads the label there before her eyes squint and her attention falls to one of the stun sticks. The weight of it in her hand, the ease of activation and the apparent voltage as sparks fly from the tip of it. This isn’t your average off the street gear. The others are busy for the moment, so she doesn’t interrupt. She wouldn’t be much use interrogating those men anyway. So she waits, holding one of the sparking clubs in her hand as she watches the ex-soldier get a little…. Antsy. If he tries anything she can be on him in a moment’s notice.
  13. Sorry for the lame title lol Looking for a thread for my werewolf Skaere. Just wanna put some feelers out and see if anyone would be interested. She's a brand new PC so I don't have anywhere to put her. No affiliations of note. If anyone is interested in GMing and/or playing with her it would be awesome!
  14. Polarity is going to take a moment to take a look at their fancy dancy sparking and flaming equipment. See if she can tell anything of note. Knowledge: Tech: 1d20+7 18
  15. Juno nods, not even thinking that her question could have been the slightest bit offensive. She was just excited and curious. Besides, Zander seemed to be smiling a bit. She couldn't have bothered him too much with her question. "That sounds awesome. Hunter's paint then!" She smiles a bit but the expression doesn't stick. "Kazra mentioned the serpent people before. They sound like bad news. Are they a potential danger while we are here?" She looks at the others in her group, knowing full well that each of them have powers and abilities that can help keep them safe, but nothing in guaranteed.
  16. Juno just sighs, mouth screwing in the realization that Lord Zander was right. Even thinking about approaching those dinosaurs was at least mildly suicidal. Especially her thoughts of the sabertooths. Better not. As awesome as it would be, she needs to remember this isn't some amusement park. This is very real and could get very dangerous at any time. The idea of staying with a tribe has her excited all over again. Though she imagines it might not be the best sleep she has ever had, it will be a unique experience. Her inner five year old wants them to cover her in warpaint or something equally as silly. Still, she can't help but think it would be fun. "Anyone else wanna get decorated with warpaint or is that just me?" She follows her question with a laugh, not sure if the others will think it's amusing.
  17. Polarity keeps quiet on her perch, watching the masked men as their attentions fall on the others. They don't seem to notice her and the success makes her smile. The more she does this, the more she realises she might actually be suited for it. She's always been light on her feet when she wants to be and the changes since her illness have only improves that. With the distraction she sees this as the perfect time to act. Let the enemy focus on her allies and come up behind. Especially with that poor man being held at voltage point. Well, let's see how they like it. In the span of a blink she reappears just behind the group.Polarity is closest to the man with the hostage. She reaches out, hand sparking when she touches the back of his neck. The shock jolts through the man's nervous system and when she lets go he falls to the ground, paralyzed. "Oooh. That did not look fun." She looks up from the man at her feet, smirking. "Anyone else wanna crumple like a rag doll?" Her voice is light, cheeky and fades with a slight chuckle. Her hand comes up, fingers wiggling almost like a wave as sparks dance around them.
  18. Polarity is going to teleport down and use paralyze on that guy. Paralyze to man in back of group: 1d20+10 14 Does she need to make another stealth check too?
  19. Sorry. Haven't been home. On my phone at the moment actually. Which enemy is closest to the back of the group? Say if Polarity zapped in behind them.
  20. Power naps. The thought makes Polarity smile, chin tucking in to help keep warmth around her neck. The idea of roommates never running into each other did boggle her mind a bit. She saw her room mate at least a couple of times a day and then sometimes when the two are just out and about. Polarity's head snapped up. The cold forgotten as voices and sounds rang out into the chilled air of the night. She takes a few hurried steps toward the edge of the rooftop, eyes scanning over the alleyway and watching the scene unfold. She takes off after Nevermore even as her eyes fall upon a spot on a nearby roof just above the scene. It's a better vantage point and if she stays low..... Polarity doesn't even stop walking, her form flickering out and reappearing on the other roof. She takes another step before stopping, staying low and quiet. She leans over the edge just enough to look down at the masked men and their victim. There are five of them, wearing silver dragon masks. Their victim is an unshaven man who is wearing a large backpack emblazoned with the American flag. There is a gun cast off to the side. Three of the men is masks are carrying short pieces of metal crackling with electricity from the tips. The other two have tanks on their backs that are attached to their masks. One of them still has wisps of smoke curling from the mouth. Not good. Her gaze snaps across the rooftops to find her team, motioning for them to hurry.
  21. Going to have Polarity telaport to a closer rooftop for a better look at what is going on. Time to sneak I think. Stealth Check: 1d20+20 39
  22. OK. I think.... I fixed everything.... for now.
  23. Polarity had her arms wrapped tight around her, palms rubbing against the outside of her arms. She breaths out a slow steady stream of air, watching it turn to steam and float up between their little group. Her outfit was thin and skin tight, and didn't do much to keep her comfortable in situations like this. Even her goggles were a little fogged. She smiles at the two guys. "Part of me wonders when he sleeps. We've been on patrol a few times and out pretty late... then from the sounds of it he's up at the crack of dawn. No rest for the wicked right?" Polarity leans in, bumping shoulders with the armor clad teen. "Seriously though, when do you sleep?" She laughs.
