Sophistemon
The hand-off is still scheduled for the following day, though presumably today has nearly drawn to a close, what with everything that's happened. Reviewing those films took some time, you'll remember, even at double-speed. To scan Freedom City for possible locations of the Fanatic's lair would take -- I'm going to ballpark it here, if you'll forgive me -- no more than four hours to comb through major city-centers of Downtown, North, South, and West. Blarghy
So, maybe everyone gets some rest while the tech guys do their thing, then we all go together and hit the place in the middle of the night? Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
Sounds good! Seems like a good time for a GM time-skip post Link to comment
Sophistemon
Okay, excellent; I like the plan. Link to comment
Blarghy
I'll post after Miracle Girl tells Adept what she sees. Until then, I don't think he has much to really say or do. Link to comment
Sophistemon
That's fair enough! Link to comment
Heritage
Sorry, will get that up today! Link to comment
Sophistemon
I don't have the necessary amount of sheer, unmitigated gall to hurry anyone along after how many hiatuses I've taken from this thread, but I will say that would be nice. Link to comment
Heritage
For the record, 'unmitigated gall' is one of my favorite phrases in the English language Link to comment
Sophistemon
It's so much more fun to say than 'audacity.' Link to comment
Heritage
Okay, I just realized I have no idea what Casey is seeing! What does Sill Mastery Notice 24 get her with Telescopic and IR vision? Link to comment
Sophistemon
@Heritage Spoiler Miracle Girl's incredible senses allow her to peer down through the roof, attic, and ceiling of the house and spy on the two women inside the kitchen. From her vantage point Casey can see that they are both blonde, with their hair done up in artfully retro styles. The older of the two is puttering about at the cabinets, removing ingredients for a meal, while the younger is seated at the table pouring over a textbook. Of the Fanatic there is no sign, although Miracle Girl can surmise that he might be somewhere within the imposingly lead-lined compound branching off from the property's basement. Said compound conforms to the shape of the model Punchline had showed the group earlier, with some minor revisions likely having been made following his entrapment in the film. There is no visual sign of Gabby Brown or her mother, just those two blonde strangers in the kitchen. Edited March 4, 2017 by Sophistemon Link to comment
Blarghy
I think we discussed this a while back, but I want to use Adept's Master Plan feat here. Adept has the House Rules Benefit that lets him use his Knowledge (Tactics) bonus instead of flat Intelligence, so I'm hoping it can give us an early edge. Knowledge (Tactics): 1d20+20 35 That'd be the full +3 bonus! Link to comment
Sophistemon
That's excellent! Just let me know when you want it to start applying. Link to comment
Blarghy
Huh, I do get to decide, don't I? I thought that it began on Round 1 of the encounter, but apparently it's more flexible. That's good to know. I'll probably wait until we breach the bunker under the house and (hopefully) have the Fanatic in sight, if that's alright (assuming that I'm right and the people in the kitchen are merely decorative distractions). Punchline's idea isn't half bad, either; letting him tie up any problems there while we hurry after the villain could work. Does everyone else agree? Should we hash it out IC a little more, or just get down to business? Link to comment
Heritage
I was thinking of having Casey drop out of the sky, feet first, like a bunker-buster; right thorough the roof and down through the lead lining. But I'm not sure if she's capable of doing that, or even if it's a good idea. Suggestions? Link to comment
Blarghy
I really like the image of that, and surely she's strong enough to do it, but I also feel like it should realistically blast the whole house to pieces. Still, this isn't exactly a game for strict physics. Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
That sounds awesome, Heritage! Link to comment
Sophistemon
If Miracle girl were to spin herself along the vertical axis, like a top, she might presumably drill her way through the building and potentially minimize structural damage. Sophistemon
Of course, now I'm wondering what would happen if she spun herself along the horizontal axis, like a circular saw... Link to comment
