1. The casinos were within breathing distance of home, not that it didn't mean he needed to take better precautions in the future. Omen wasn't sure if the kid was nervous or simply shy but one of the two options came to mind as he watched body language of the guy slipping his hands in his pockets whilst speaking in a robotic tone. Of course he was open to the possibility of the guy just being cold. It was nighttime on a roof after all. "Ah pleased to meet you Errant. I'm Omen. People watching's always good I suppose. But the sight's not going to change anytime soon. Especially 'round here minus the odd drunk or cheater tossed out from Atlantis every now and then."
2. Omen tilted his head as the shuffling sounds of Errant's footsteps quickly getting his attention. Parsing his lips he managed to speak ending the silence. "Yo...this is new. Normally the roofs aren't public domain. But hey I suppose matter of probability and all." As Erick casually spoke he looked over the awestruck male. Not on edge in the slightest as Big Al's boys tended to dress more formally while sticking to sea level.

4. So this is more than a bit late. Sorry, but was holiday season and all. Gonna place my October ones in here as well if it's not too late. Same thread after all. Omen OVERTHROW in Freedom Hall 03 IC Posts (October), 1 IC Posts (November)
5. As Erick made his way onto a rooftop in preparation for his mode of travel of choice he began to consider the merits of purchasing an actual on the job vehicle once again. As much fun as moving rooftop to rooftop, his legs would like a bit of a break from time to time. Pulling himself forward he would crouch before scanning around he knew the quiet air was hiding yet another night of trouble. As long as Big Al's boys were running around his city, Erick had no qualms about bearing down on them. In fact, the cityscape gave him a sense of comfort as it always reminded him of why he wore a costume that blended into the night and scaled rooftops in the first place.
6. With all the funding behind AEGIS, Omen couldn't help but wonder why anyone thought a men's restroom stall was a good place to hide elevator access. The less that could be said about the floor the better. "Well I was going to ask if we needed to get vaccinated after stepping inside. But I think I'll hold off on that while you two practice your 'this is serious business' face. Still I do have to wonder why we had to go over twenty flights of stairs to ride an elevator down." The Director Powers poster was a nice touch. If dressing up every night hadn't turned off the idea of Halloween for him, Eric would have had the perfect costume idea for this year.
7. Tossing in Omen's hat in for this if it's not too late.
8. Pondering on his feelings about. "Russia? Hm, haven't had Shchi in years, at least the real stuff. Or big old plate of studen, well I suppose I can make cuisine plans later. As for getting my water wings, I suppose I have none. But just in case anyone here's wondering, I don't have gills. I'm hoping not to have to hold my breath for too long." Walking casually to the the federal building with AEGIS agents was definitely not the way he expected the day to go when he got up.
9. Listening to the tale, Omen did consider the full weight of what she was offering. "Now I live hand in hand with peril just fine. So that definitely adds to the appeal. And despite what you say, I can't help but feel as if you're definitely going to be leaving me a bit in the dark about some vital parts to it. And that's all well and good seeing as it's not exactly the type of situation one can just ignore. Still, if the other guys are on board this shouldn't be too much of a problem." Pausing for a moment he would don a slightly sardonic smile, "let's just try and be a bit more forthright with all the information."
10. The inner workings of AEGIS weren't a huge point of interest for the teenage hero. An opinion that he was no doubt reconsidering upon finding out they had access to his phone number. Giving a slight nod to Agent Athena he would extend his hand towards the woman's before she left through the door. As he made his way across the lobby to the front desk he couldn't help but note that the entire experience just raised a whole host of other questions. "Since we're feeling Greek today, does Proteus ring any bells for anyone?"
11. As Omen moved to comply with the request, he knew there would be questions he would want answered. His legs would enthusiastically push against the ground as he commenced to get a bit more distance from the radius of the sirens. His focus aimed solely at making it to Freedom Medical Center. A bit cautious over the fact that there was a 'we' to meet, something that didn't change the fact that the interest in these briefcases wasn't boding well for at least one person's health. The unconscious suits not withstanding.
12. Lunging forward Omen would slam a briefcase into the face of the leftmost male attacker. With a smile he would use the momentum to propel himself off the man's body as it crumbled and continue with an axe like swing with the briefcase slamming it down against the back of the other male's neck taking him out of the picture as well. Wasting little time in the shock of the chaos he would make his move to the first of the two female assailants. Using his off hand to position the opposite briefcase against her attacking arm he would twist his body inwards as he hit the side of her body with a series of liver blows using the main brief case. Just like the other two she quickly fell. Finally performing a side roll to position himself under the last of the female suits so that he could thrust a briefcase against her stomach re-positioning himself he would hammer down the very same briefcase against her spine with enough force to knock her flat out. "Their mothers really should have told them not to run with swords. Someone could get hurt," Omen quipped as he turned around after felling the quartet facing the remaining briefcases. Time to bounce, not exactly looking for a photo op moment here with the cops.
13. Let's see before the taunting and flipping gonna just go on a head on assault then and charging for the chargers with a move action and then swinging a briefcase as a standard action with a Briefcase smack (30- Nat. Crit ) Well they're about to be dropping like flies with some liberal use of Takedown Attack if one drops in the opening.
14. Can't help but wonder how sturdy these briefcases that Omen's about to be using as makeshift head beaters are.
15. Initiative (1d20+15=30) Omen's rearing to go.
16. "Hm, option two it is." Turnabout was fair play, and he expected something of the like. In fact Erick was probably glad, it gave them the chance of learning some regret. The conditions were far from ideal as the environment wasn't one Omen could take advantage of. With that said it wasn't one the flurry of opponents could either especially if they were going to come in tight. Well time to show off then. Letting go of two of the briefcases Omen would keep a firm grasp of the remaining set. Considering the efforts they were going to keep their spoils he doubted they would enjoy damaging the records either. It wasn't simply the desire to play around with an unconventional choice of weaponry. Even if perhaps on some level that was the reason as well.
17. Would bend on one knee as he kept a close eye forward. Four briefcases was not an ideal load, and he couldn't trust any of the questionable foursome in front of him either. Still moving to grab a pair of suitcases in each hand he would begin edging forward. Assuming that the bridge held out and no one pulled anything Omen would commence his walk off the bridge straight towards the four, a certain medical center on his mind. "Word of advice get out of this line of business there's plenty of legitimate business opportunities out there. Oh, and about that warning if I do find something worth surprising me over this I suppose we'll be having another far less civil word."
18. Omen calmly held his index finger as if asking the group to wait before pulling out his phone and reading the message. Parsing his lips slowly he would begin to gruffly answer, "No need to worry about who I am. What you should be concerned about is the fact that I'm going to give you two options. Either you drop the patient records and I take them where they belong. Or I forcibly take them, and your concern will be over your own pending hospital records." He wasn't attempting to ride David's reputation for always being in the know, but Erick wasn't going to let the psychological advantage that the mere idea brought against goons like this. He'll probably get a chuckle after I tell him about this. Might send a thank you for striking fear into the hearts of the criminal underworld card next Father's day. I think they make those.
19. Blind faith wasn't exactly the modus operandi for a cowl. Omen was of course no exception, the switch looked iffy. But he couldn't justify a snatch and grab without at least confirming that the shifty looking bunch heading towards the ramp were less trustworthy than the anonymous texter. Which of course warranted doing something incredibly stupid. Attempting to send a response text which read, 'What is going on?' Omen would immediately put the phone away afterwards. Seeing as he couldn't actually sit around and wait for the response a slight smirk would form under Omen's face as he took off in a full sprint toward the quartet hoping to come up from behind and use his acrobatic talent to maneuver himself ahead of the ramp. I'm not worried about holding my own if this thing goes South. There's only four of them. But ending up on the 5 o clock news over some stolen donor organs would really turn this into a sucky day. Well at least I'm photogenic.
20. Omen skimmed his cell phone as he received the message. The number wasn't exactly public domain. Which only brought up a host of questions. Seeing as the scene was starting to get more stacked as time passed it wasn't as if him taking his eyes off the prize for a moment would be an issue. Deciding to go along with this mysterious Athena, Omen would pick himself up and pivot towards the South. Taking off in a quick burst as he prepared to leap off the roof using the grappling line to travel the course of the supposed three blocks. "If it turns out I'm following step by step instructions straight into a trap it better not run on too long." While he wasn't sure what the merit would be in following a strange car with nothing to go on other than mysterious instructions. Getting to the bottom of who got into contact with him was certainly an agenda worth pursuing.
21. Erick Sloane had been sitting in his penthouse with his best friend discussing plans for purchasing the entire building they occupied. Now that he was old enough to get access to the account his late parents left for him, it helped that the already sizable chunk of cash was made more sizable due to investments made by one of David's friends. It just felt as if signing the paperwork was almost like closing a chapter of his life he wasn't comfortable closing yet, not that he had much time to contemplate the matter as suddenly a special alert bulletin played across the television set. With many A stern look formed upon Alaina's face as it became obvious what Erick had been planning to do, "I believe Omen operates in the shadows. And despite how tired I feel right now it's far from night." "Now, now. They went to all the trouble of gathering an audience it would really be a shame if I didn't give the performance of a lifetime. Far more my speed than all this financial talk. Besides, I'll make sure to stick out of sight." The pair simply smiled at one another before Erick moved to his room to change into his uniform. Only the flap of the curtains would be left as a sign as Omen left for a rare afternoon appearance. ---------- There were some parts of the job he enjoyed. And making the rooftops his playground as he ran across the city was definitely a highlight. Although there was probably a more ideal way to maintain cardio. Even if one would be hard pressed to convince Erick of it. Upon arriving on the scene Omen chose to stick to the rooftops rather than front and center through the crowd. Scouting out the building from afar he began to run through his options. "So taking out the guys with the rifles and moving in through the roof would be ideal, though not as much so as sneaking in unseen." Musing over how to go about things he would look down spotting the cape clad in white floating along most likely giving a reassuring spiel as Erick imagined they often did. "And now for something completely different. A little contrast is good for the soul I suppose. I've never been one for the bright colors they seem to scream shoot here."
22. I think he mentioned something about snipers on the roof, although that may have been said in Chat.

Eyes: Blue Hair: Blonde [floatr][/floatr] Erick is 5'9 which is about four inches taller than the average male gymnast. His neck length hair sits comfortably upon his face most likely never facing the terror of a comb. While not having a large amount of muscle mass, his muscles are cut into the lean mean acrobatic machine that he is. His bright blue eyes always have some shine to them. As Omen, Erick dons an outfit heavily inspired by the hero Foreshadow. Being a realist, Erick's costume is lined with multiple body armor inlays all over his body, due to the fact that as fleet footed as he is chances are he's still going to take more hits than his mentor. The cowl and hood were abandoned for a domino mask held in place by spirit gum due to the fact that Erick relies on a wider field of vision. His uniform also has visible pouches to hold various equipment. History: At only ten years of age Erick was considered a child prodigy ready to take the gymnastics world by storm. Of course, all the implications and hardships of said talent at an early age came with the title. While the demanding sponsors and incessant reporters weren't so bad because he could leave them at the door. His parents and coaches, however, were an entirely different story. Every moment of his life followed a set schedule down to the minute and he hated it. The fact that they opted to homeschool him so he could maximize his time practicing routines didn't help. He couldn't count how many times he wished for his parents to just go away so he could relax for a day. That was until the incident happened. Late one night while Erick was undergoing his studies, a drugged out mobster armed with a flame thrower had been cornered by the costumed detective Foreshadow in the alley behind the boy's home. In a moment of desperation and beginning to hallucinate, the mobster started setting the area nearby ablaze. Which in turn was the very tragedy Foreshadow had been attempting to prevent when he cornered the man. Letting the villain escape, Foreshadow instead began to attempt to try and calm the ferocious flames or at the very least save anyone who hadn't already escaped as soon as the fires started. As sounds of the clash and the faint smell of smoke filled the night air, Erick's parents ran downstairs to see what all the commotion was. Something that Erick made no move to stop, as it actually meant he'd have a schedule free moment in his life. It didn't take long for them to note that the first floor of their home was engulfed in flames. Unfortunately, the foundation had already taken quite a beating and the stairs collapsed from under them as they turned to try and get their child out of immediate danger. Hearing a loud crashing noise, the now terrified and confused Erick decided to go after his parents only to see the horrible state they were in at the remains of the stairwell. He wanted to help them, he wanted to scream, he wanted to something. Anything. But he couldn't. Erick couldn't even move, he was paralyzed in a state of shock. To this day he doesn't remember the details of how Foreshadow rescued him from the burning building. Erick only blamed himself for what happened to his parents. His head was quickly filled to the brim with thoughts such as, “If only I were quicker,†or “If only I had stopped them from going downstairs.†Essentially he felt that he should have been able to stop their deaths. Sympathizing with the boy's plight and blaming himself for failing to prevent the deaths of the his parent's, David Sloane did the unexpected and took Erick in. An ordeal that was a bit difficult with various coaches claiming that they wanted to adopt Erick. It was inevitable that David would have to reveal his identity as the costumed detective Foreshadow to the child if their new arrangement was ever to work. Foreshadow swore Erick to secrecy, and in exchange he trained the youth in the many talents that he used in his costumed identity. Despite agreeing to train him, Foreshadow outright forbid Erick from joining the fight against crime in the Southside at least until the youth finished school. Having recently enrolled him in public school. As such, Erick spent the next six years of his life with relative normalcy. He quit competitive gymanstics all together and just did the regular teenage thing. Not counting the training sessions with Foreshadow of course. The youth had also come into his own money having invested the money from his sponsors with Rath & Stromsberg upon David's advice. He also graduated from High School early at the age of sixteen solely so he could round off the start of his career by training his talents visiting many of the same locations David Sloane did as a youth. It also gave him a chance to tie up some loose ends and closure with the man he was originally supposed to grow into as he competed(and dominated) at Worlds. Shocking many whom didn't expect him to be in tip top shape. Having recently returned to Freedom City, Erick dipped into his personal fortune to pay his tuition in full as he enrolled in FCU. Moving into a private penthouse within looking distance of the Atlantis hotel and casino, he reached out to a childhood friend, Alaina Zelichonok, revealing his intention to operate as a costumed vigilante and needing her help in the purchase and development of equipment. Omen's venture into superheroics has already earned him the ire of the Freedom City Mob just by wearing the same emblem as his mentor. Personality & Motivation: Erick is quite relaxed and even when on the job he's known to be chatty and crack a joke. Unlike his mentor, he's more than willing to work with others than Foreshadow is. Erick doesn't let his past define him he may have initially gotten into the hero gig motivated by the tragedy that befell his parents, but honestly at the end of the day he just loves doing it and hopes to help people. Erick fights the good fight simply because it's the right thing to do. Filled with a passion for life and a desire to make a difference, every time he dons the Omen costume he's ready to go to work. With that said, he's never forgotten why he does what he does in the first place, and wants to make sure no one else has to go through the pain of losing their family because of the criminals in Freedom City. Powers & Tactics: While fully capable of standing still and slugging it out, Erick prefers a 'float like a butterfly sting like a bee' approach to things. Movement is the name of the game and Erick excels at it. If he's not actively moving cover using hit and run tactics he'll be flapping his gums to try and anger or disorient his opponent. It's a little rough and more than a little flashy fighting style, but it's perfect for the showman that he is. Erick's quite intelligent for his age, and tends to be the perfect model of being kinestethically intelligent and reflexive thinking. Not one to think ahead, he tactically lives in the here and now adapting to situations as they come. It's not that he can't sit back and write up plans, but after a childhood of following a set note, he prefers to go off script. If given the opportunity he'll also attempt to add some distance and use his throwing discs from the comfort of concealment. Variety being the spice of life Erick carries equipment for a wide variety of situations when simply beating away at someone won't do the trick in his utility belt. It's his equalizer of sorts, noting that if he can't see the future he'll just have to curve the present in his favor.

Complications: Enemies While the mantle of Omen belongs to himself, Erick finds himself being targeted by those who felt wronged by Foreshadow Fame If being a child prodigy wasn't enough, showing up out of nowhere and joining the American team at worlds while making it look easy after years of inactivity certainly does put the spotlight on him. Responsibility: As a student Erick has to make sure his late hours don't interfere with his school work Phobia For understandable reasons Erick has a deep phobia of flames and fires. Simple tasks like cooking on a open flame isn't going to slow him down but set a building on fire and old memories start flooding back. Villain or hero he prefers not to associate with any metahumans whom control flames. Impossible Standards: Perhaps it's because of his upbringing, or maybe it's just a by-product of being a competitive athlete. But Erick holds himself to inhumanly high standards of what he believes he should accomplish often pushing himself far too far. Loyalty: Erick is fiercely loyal to the Foreshadow name even electing to wear Foreshadow's emblem as well as his own. With that said, Omen still operates as a separate entity to Foreshadow and has a different approach to crime fighting. Secret: Erick has the difficult task of not only keeping his identity a secret but keeping the identity of Foreshadow a secret as well.
