  1. After the impact of the bullets he held up a hand to try and ward off anymore, and then the grenade hit, and explosion engulfed him. It was a new experience, he was taking a risk, but he had a job to do, and he'd rather run the risk of hitting the limits of him abilities rather than someone else get hurt. And then the explosion stopped growing, and started to collapse back into him, and he felt it flow through him, suffuse him with power, and he smiled, smoke wafting off of him. "Did you ever get the feeling that maybe you should have just stayed in bed?" A smirk on his face, as he lifted up left hand to about his shoulder level and then he snapped his fingers. And then Asad gave them back their explosion, as the force blasted out from him.
  2. I thought it was just below the rank for Impervious. Woopsie Anyway, so my post since I held? And using his Area Damage. Say hello guys!

  4. So, I invoke Impervious 10. So I have to save, and you know what? I invoke Dramatic effect, and use Ultimate TOU, and Asad goes bwahaha!
  5. And then he smiled, like the cat that caught the canary. "Done and done. But..." And he folded his arms behind his head and he grinned at her. "That is assuming that card is me trying to repay. It's not. It is instead show you a slice of the real good life. My benefits package is extensive, and I am willing to be more than a little magnanimous, now that we aren't standing in the middle of an invaded boardroom of mine. I can use talented people, and you wouldn't be the first super powered person I hired." He slowly leaned forward and picked up his cup, and took a sip of it. "Of course that discussion can wait until later."
  6. Asad put the breaks on sharply, stopping in mid-air, and smirking down at the assorted OVERTHROW operatives. And then he started to laugh at them, his arms folded across his chest"Whoa... whoa... whoa! I am the capitalist dream run rampant! I mean I woke up today and I was worth billions! Billions!" Tapping his cheek bone with a finger then. "Come on! Right here on my botoxed face! I'll be a good sport to you unwashed masses! See if you can take me out, you ski-mask wearing morons!"
  7. Asad will stop, and then start trash talking them. Holding his action until after they shoot things at him.
  8. "Average yield per quarter 9.83. Highest profitable year had a yield of 14. I am familiar with her portfolio. Our split was initially amicable." He yawns a bit still making it look to any onlooker that this was a casual interaction between them, and he reached into his pocket and pulled out a card and flipped it onto the table, a glossy black and gold credit card. "Do you know what that is, Ms. Troi? Besides a credit card, do you understand the gravity of it? Have you checked my net worth today? Not my company's, mine? Look long and hard at the credit card. You know I am unreasonable man, and right now we are talking business, let's cut to the chase. And you can have a day, twenty four whole hours with that card." He smiled slyly and lazily leaned back in the card, his posture not matching how steely his gaze was on her.
  9. It was a little chilly when they got to the hotel's private beach, not that he minded. Normally it wasn't open this late, but then he was a billionaire, and so the word 'No' was often times more a suggestion rather than a firm stance. She led him towards a more secluded point on the beach, naturally. He didn't notice, nor did he notice the person lurking in the shadows, snuffing out a cigarette in the sand. Nor that man lifting up the weapon onto his shoulder and taking aim at Amir. What Amir noticed was the strange thrumming sound, and turning in time to a see a wave of distortion hit him. There was not force behind it, and he almost started to laugh, only to find his muscles not responding at all. And was completely aware as he fell to the ground, his muscles locked in a sort of rictus. His mind was still moving sluggish despite the frantic efforts of his thoughts, as it prevented his body from producing adrenaline as well. Only breathing and blinking continued as he laid in the sand.
  10. He chuckled, like she told a joke, and the blase went away, and he was smiles and welcoming, and nodding at her words. Unfolding his hands he took a hold of his glass, and sipped at it, before speaking, his tone light, conversational, "Well if I was one of those angsty, dark types I hear so much about, my comments back to you would be choice, and perhaps utilizing furniture, but seeing as how that wont get anyone anywhere..." Leaning back in his chair, he moved a hand before him gesturing to her. "I am, for lack of a better term, all ears."
  11. Here are some of my noodlings and characters, and what have you.
  12. His response to Ms. van Cleef had been a simple retort, explaining how next time he gets kidnapped by a mad scientist and held for months while he gets examined and experimented upon, he'll wait until he has a clear spot in his calendar. In the end, he had listened to reason, and he had dressed up nicely for the interview. Hair brushed back, but calculatedly just a little mussed. A dark slate gray suit, with a crisp white shirt that wasn't buttoned up all the way, same was true with the cuffs. He ordered a coffee, and sat there waiting until the interviewer took a seat across from him, and he was about to offer to get her something, before seeing who it was, and then he slowly leaned back in his seat and looked at her, as he laced his own fingers together. "Hm."

  14. Doktor'd! Lot of edits here, so let's start: Fluff: Cleaned it up, also added some complications. Abilities: Dropped Con to 20, from 22. Combat: Raised Attack from +3 to +5 base (removed Feat and Power feat.) Savings throws: Removed 2 points from Reflex, bring it to total of +5. Reallocated those points 1 each to Fort and Will. Compensating, in part, for the drop in Con. Skills: Reallocated skills to accommodate the addition of Attractive. Kept total the same, also reallocated overall to have them be divisible by five, where possible. Feats: Dropped Attack Specialization (unarmed) and Accurate Attack. Added: Attractive, another Luck (now to 2), Taunt, and Ultimate TOU Powers: Removed Accurate PF from Blast BE on the absorption Array, adjusted Protection to hit caps after that, and adjusted Impervious as well. (back to Protection 10 (extra: Impervious)) Fixed DC box to be accurate for his Blast 15 power. Here is the fixed sheet (two parts.) Fluff Crunchy Goodness Doktor'd!
  15. Landing on a ledge in front of a rooftop, he opened his phone to see what was sent, and he sighed, softly. His free hand pinching at the bridge of his nose. "They were hired by Angela. It was a distraction. I am going to see what I can do about this." And then started the calls as he tried to get a hold of some people who would have any idea where Madame Marvelous(!). This day just got longer.
  16. And then he burst into motion, jerking in a wild looking fashion, then turning sharply and surged to full speed, and then kicked his throttle beyond that, pushing as hard as he could at the armed men that they had gone over in the short briefing. Aiming right for the Overthrow goons, and hoping to create a distraction. He didn't agree with what was happening, but Maddicks knew more about this than he did. So CHARGE! He just hoped this didn't turn into a massacre. Fortunately, he was the kind of guy that would draw OVERTHROW's fire readily, as he imagined they had posters of him they threw darts at.
  17. He regarded her for a moment, and then nodded. "Come on." And he put his hands under the man's arms, wrapping them around his chest, before he rose into the air. "I am the C.E.O. of a multi billion-dollar multi-national. Do you really want to ponder whether I have a code of honor?" And with that he took off, carrying the man as he raced through the air, heading towards the river, and then landing onto building with a fire-escape, and landing he let go of the guy. "I am certain you are nice, and don't take this the wrong way, but I never want to see you again." And with that he surged back up into the air once more, clicking on his commlink to get a hold of Ms. Van Cleef's other phone.
  18. "What can I say? I am a modern Muslim." Catching the phone, he put it into the cargo pocket on his pants, and buttoned it closed. His mouth quirked a bit at the change in plans, and he looked to the man then. She was grinning like a cat that caught the canary, and relying on his own values to prevent him from hurting her. It annoyed him, but still he kept himself in focus, putting this into perspective. "Give me the drive, and I will take your man."
  19. To his credit he didn't show disappointment or that he had a master plan. He just accepted that he was in a corner, he just did not like it. Well... wonderful. It seemed just a little too easy. And he moved through the door of the room, and made his way back up to the stairs to his office, noting that he needed to beer up security or something to that equivalent. And then he rounded the corner his room, looking for her.
  20. Absently he adjusted the straps on his gloves, and then stood outside of the tent, waiting for the signal. As vague as that was. He had gotten the frequency for his commlink. Then folding his arms across his chest, he pushed up and into the air. Not expecting anything further, just putting himself in a straight line towards where he would be rushing at the signal, and instead he faced away from the City Hall, masking his intentions, as keeping watching for something else. His back presented towards the snipers.
  21. Skill mastery dusted off, Using Well-Informed on the Schultz and Maddicks. Actually, just assume he is gonna Well-Inform with any individual he doesn't know.
  22. Arched an eyebrow as he looked at Mr. Maddicks. "I think I can draw their attention pretty well. Clearly I am the representation of the Bourgeois capitalist system they clearly hate so much, blah blah, up with the proletariat, yadda yadda. Either way, soak up their gun fire, and any RPGs got it." Pulling gloves out of his back pocket, he pulled them over his hands slowly, meticulously, and then paused and glanced around at the other costumes, taking note of who they were. A ghost of an amused smile at his comment, and then he nodded back at at Maddicks and Schultz, "Just say when." Casually pulling out his commlink, and putting the earpiece on. Seemingly less chatty than he had been previously, for those who knew him.
  23. Slowly Asad sighed and shrugged a little bit, letting his hands drop to his sides, and smiled softly. "A position of strength is only viable as long as long you don't convince the person you are talking with to cut their nose off to spite their face. Especially when that person is angry, and just want keep their perspective to go after the people who are ultimately responsible." His tone was pleasant, even affable. He was a good liar, a good speaker. She would have seen him on the television shows, saw how he disarmed pretty much everyone around him all the time. And there was moments, where it slipped, like today, and what was looking at her were shark eyes. The rise of his company was a testament to that. She knew there was steel in him. "Come on, the police are in the building, so let's get you to somewhere and you can make your retreat. The future is not a concern yet." He moved to the door, and opened it. "My office, now."
  24. Amir looked at her and to his credit, or maybe the alcohol slowed his reaction time a little, he didn't do a blatant double take (just close to it) at the woman with riotous dark hair who had took the seat next to him. She had the features he would wax poetically, and badly so, about. The woman laughed at that, even the laugh held his attention, and responded back to him, in French this time, fortunately. "" Said before she turned, and orders him another drink. Now Amir didn't see she was holding something in her palm, or that she dropped it into the drink she got for him. He also didn't taste anything funny in the drink, and he blinked a little after a few moments, his grin having gotten a little sloppier. " To her credit, she didn't look upset at all, or surprised. She was sticking to the plan, and her lips remained curled into a smile. "" "" Draining the last of his drink, he got up, not a lot of weave in how he moved, and he held out a hand that she took, and moved with her from the bar towards the exit out onto the private beach. Casually she lifted her hand and raked her fingers through her hair, hiding the remains of the power she had hidden in her palm, and also signalling someone else nearby that stage two was a go.
