She is normally seen clad in a sleeveless white bodysuit with a white furred coat on at all times. Each are made from morphic molecules to prevent freezing over when she uses her ice abilities, but is sometimes seen wearing just jeans and a plain T-Shirt. History: Dasha Morozov grew up during the final years of the Soviet Union. Her mother and father were impoverished and both had thrown their lives head first into alcohol to escape the reality of their lives. Dasha was forced to rely on lying and stealing at a young age, if only just to feed herself and her parents who were barely aware she was there at all. As she grew older and the Soviet Union collapsed, Dasha became a skilled con-artist that fleeced a great deal of money from the poor just so she could live and make her escape from the country. In time, her actions attracted the attention of the Mafiya who needed someone to assist in distracting officials and law enforcement in their smuggling operations. In return they would help her to America. Seeing opportunity when it presented itself, Dasha agreed and soon helped move millions of dollars worth of defunct research and drugs across the splintered nation. Seeing value in Dasha, they made promises to her of more money and wealth if she continued to assist them in their operations at Freedom city. She took them up on their deal, finding herself less concerned with mere survival and grew more obsessed with money and the likelihood of power if she was lucky. When she got there, things were farther from the truth. Even with the money she got, they lost even more with the interference of Superheroes. Things got even worse when more powerful heroes such as the freedom league got involved in their operations involving old but powerful Soviet tech. Dasha was often left to explain what went wrong to the. She grew more and more jealous of their power until she wanted power like theres. By some twist of fate, it didn't take long for Dasha to wait for desires to come true. The Labyrinth was about to start a extremely dangerous new procedure involving the DNAscent process that could yield a powerful pawn if it proved successful. One of their agents, Yuri Moloyev, thought that Dasha would be a willing to undergo the process. By having strategic clues dropped for the Con artist to follow, Dasha found herself in one of Grant Conglomerates Shell companies. She was given the offer, seemingly with no strings attached. Over the next few months, Dasha along with several other volunteers or kidnapped homeless no one was going to miss were subjected to the Labyrinths experiments. The plan was simple: Integrate the powers and DNA of several at large villains into the bodies of others using the DNAsent Process along with advanced Gene therapy and brainwashing to do so. Out of all the subjects, one proved successful....Dasha wasn't that subject. She died half way when her body Froze under the mix of Glacier, Madam Zero and Grue DNA. Her body along with the other failures were loaded into a van to be delivered to a hidden location outside of Freedom City for cremation. Along the way, the van crashed and Dasha's body fell into a nearby river and floated off, rapidly collecting Ice along the way. A few weeks later, Dasha's body exploded out of the massive block of ice, alive but changed in ways she never imagined. She suffered a breakdown not long afterwards when she realized that she had died and had been turned into what she though as a freak. The earlier stages of the Labyrinths brainwashing also left holes in her memory, including her reasons for wanting superpowers so badly. For some time, Dasha was left at a lost with what to do, struggling to figure out her reasons for her power. At some point, she found herself back in freedom city where she tried to ignore stares from civilians. During this time, she found herself in front of one of Freedom cities banks (almost as usual) being robbed. Without much thought into what she was doing, she froze the robbers in place long enough for the police to arrive. She found herself feeling good doing something right for a change and with some people nearby no longer seeing her a a freak of nature, Dasha decided to abandon her old and likely forgotten identity and become Lady Winter. Personality & Motivation: Dasha is trying to make an honest attempt to turn her life around after spending most of her life as a criminal. She tries her best to stay calm in most situations, including those about her appearance, but she feels insecure about the changes wrought the experiments. She naturally prefers colder environments and will sometimes freeze the surrounding area when no one is around to relax. Lady Winter still holds quite a bit of money on various hidden accounts across the world to support herself. she knows she should return it or send it all to charity, but with no other means to support herself she keeps it. Though she has donated quite a bit to several charities across Freedom city. When questioned on her life and origins, she will just state she was from Russia and has little memory of her life, (which is at least half true). Powers & Tactics: The mixture of the DNAscent Process, samples of Grue, Glacier and Madam Zero's DNA have granted Dasha significant power over Ice, weather and greater physical strength and durability than she did as a regular human, as well as survive and thrive in the coldest environments known to man. Her DNA has been severely warped by the DNAscent process, granting her the power to heal at an alarming rate to the point she can return back to life, a completely uninvented side effect of the genetic tampering she was subjected to. The Ice people DNA integrated into her physiology has left Dasha with a biological aversion to fire and it can induce great harm to her if she isn't careful. Lady Winter prefers to use a mix of her abilities in combat, either attacking at range with her ice blast and snare abilites, Wash out an area with a localized snow storm and strike her opponents while they are left blind or simply beat up foes at close range with large Ice hammers. Complications: Enemies: The Labyrinth and Russian Mafiya if the can make the Lady Winter = Dasha Morozov connection Memory loss: Incomplete Labyrinth brainwashing has left holes in Lady Winters memory, though she can recall most of her life before her death.   7. "I am well aware of the ethics behind it. Main reason why I haven't explored the possibilities of mind control with similar methods. I mostly restrict what this to when using what I already can do would be unwise." He said with another tap on the guitar. "Speaking of mind control though sound, my powers emerged from a chance encounter with The Maestro during one of his insane plots. I did notice I blew up a few amplifiers before my powers manifested, but I always thought it was just poor workmanship on the manufacturers part. Not sure if it was the encounter that made my powers emerge or if they I always had them and the conductors presence was just a coincidence." Rift finished with a shrug. "As for sound, it as far as I can tell it seems to be any sound I can find. Hell, I could literally throw some maniacs long winded speech about taking over the world right back in his face if I wanted to."
  8. Rift looked at Docktor Archville with a slight look of mock shock just a second before he dropped the Interrogator act. As far as he could tell, it was his way of just trying t cover up his own nervousness. "Well, with a name like Archeville, I would be a little surprised if you didn't." Rift joked as he relaxed in the chair. "Well, from what if been able to discover since I got my powers is that I can manipulate and amplify sound. I'm not sure on the 'how' exactly but I can. So far I've been able to launch projected sound to knock people back, use sound vibrations to shatter almost any physical objects I've come across, Force fields and achieve flight." "Uh,yes. It is a Gibson Explorer, I had it fitted with a small speaker system used in some guitars to make them portable, had parts of the guitar hollowed out by a friend of mine to fit it in. Not exactly a rich person so I mostly had to use some old second hand equipment to rig up a system that creates minor frequencies as I play that affect the mind. So far it can manipulate stimulate parts of the human brain to change emotional states, but I'm sure that I can get it to do more in the future...I'm actually a surprised you know your guitars doctor. "
  9. Rifts guitar is a modified Gibson Explorer, just painted black with a blue cracked glass decal and a speaker near the angular part of the body.
  10. "Well, I would like to know how my powers work exactly. I mean, I know some of the basics, just don't know how those even work. Well, that and I have no idea on the limits." Rift explained, ignoring the fact the doctor was starting to look at him like a lab monkey. "Well, that and if we have time to get a bit of advice on what else I can outfit this with." He added with tapping the body of his guitar.
  11. "Huh, Sound proofed." Rift said as he followed the glowing arrows to the good doctor. The soundproofing was disappointing, he was genuinely curious about what was going on behind closed doors. "Eh, one day." He muttered. Not long after, Rift found himself in the presence of Dr Archeville. "Thank you doctor." He said smiling as he took a seat, removing his guitar and placing it on his lap. "It's nice to finally meet you."
  12. "Thanks. I'm pretty sure I will." Rift said with a smile as he took the badge and pinned it to his duster. He managed with all his might to keep his hormones in control long enough to get moving before certain thoughts started to invade his mind. Once he reached the elevator, he pressed the call button and waited for a few moment. Well, never though I would ever get to see the inside of this place...Wonder what they are developing... His thoughts were interrupted when the Elevator doors opened. He stepped inside and hit the button for the seventh floor.

  14. Date: June 7th, 2010 (Monday) Rift flew across the city, his guitar slung around his back as he made his way towards his destination. He was lucky today. It took him a few tries just to ring reception, but he managed to finally get an appointment with Dr Archeville. He felt a little guilty about getting one before Eddie, but still he was curious about the limits of his abilities, not to mention how they worked. He landed in front of Archetech and went inside, feeling somewhat nervous about what this process would entail. Even with his feelings, Rift went on forward, stopping at the reception desk. "Hello. Rift to see Doctor Archeville." He said simply.

DC 20: Warren was once lead guitarist of a band called Octopus Dropkick, up until the band split after the disappearance of lead singer Eddie Ozan AKA Breakdown despite attempts to hold it together. DC 25: Rumors hint that Riffs powers manifested when a nightclub he was working at was attacked by the Maestro. DC 30: Other rumors floating around the internet indicate that Riff has a giant cyborg bat he keeps as a pet. No one knows for sure if this is true or not. Knowledge: Popular Culture DC 10: Riff is considered one of the greatest guitarists in existence. His debut album Soundbreaker was number one on the charts for months. DC 15: Its a well known fact that Warren Wilder revealed his identity during a Battle of the Bands concert that was attacked by the Maestro and The Green Man. Recordings of the fight went viral for a while. DC 20: In a interview with Super-Vision, Riff revealed that one of the first supervillains he fought was The Maestro. The Sonic Sentinel has admitted to disliking the Conductor of Crime above most criminals for using music to pull his crimes.

  17. Rift was starting to descend when he saw the whole airbag detach from the ship, seemingly held aloft by invisible forces. He looked down at the uncontious man in his arms and shook his head. Yeah, this plan is not gonna work. He berated himself as he raised himself back up to the blown out hole and tossed the Klansman back in. He unslung his guitar from his back and flew around the suspended cabin, looking around the surrounding area. "Lets see...Aha!" He exclaimed as he moved into position and started playing, using sound itself to push the cabin away from the fight and to someplace where it can land safely. [groove]21410059[/groove]
  18. Rift gritted his teeth as he sat up, the comic book falling from his face and landing in his lap. The amps continued to blare out the building tone, but one of them had blown out from the sonic blast. He forced the sound away from him and tried his best to contain it. It really hurt his ears. He gazed down at the book, puzzled at the nagging sense of familiarity the rather old issue was giving him. He picked it up and took a closer look at one of the pages. It had Daedalus in front of a large dimensional gateway device with a speech bubble containing the usual techno babble Castle Comics used when they had to try and explain the science behind anything the Greek-inspired hero did. 'I can do it!" The Genius inventor proclaimed in the box, standing proudly in his powered armor. "I can open the portal to the other side to bring Lady Liberty back! All I must do is manipulate the trans-dimensional Vibrations-" Rift stopped reading the panel after than line. He slowly looked back up at the speakers and the makeshift setup...And threw the book against the wall in frustration. "Damn! I actually thought I was onto something here!" He yelled as he rubbed the bridge of his nose, feeling incredibly foolish at what he even attempted. Meanwhile, tragedy struck Young Freedom as Mark was struck down. And a grieving fathers powers awakened, threating reality itself...
