  1. "Looking good man." Warren said as he floated upwards and quickly righted himself. "As for where? Not sure just yet. West end is usually having problems. Southside is starting to get worse... Your pick really." He said as he slipped on his duster. "Better be quick on deciding where to go though. Keep hearing that Summers has eyes and ears all over the place and I really don't want things to get derailed." If anything annoyed the hell out of Rift, it was plans falling apart. Well, his anyway.
  2. Rift grunted as he managed to get up. He didn't feel any burning lead in his body anymore, but he was still pretty sore from the assault. "Thanks Doc...Think I'll work on that as soon as possible" He said as he rubbed his ears. At least the cartilage was there. He did not want to explain why parts of his ears were missing to anyone. He was starting to wonder what would have happened if the doctor actually was evil. Though with a name like Archevile wasn't meaningful, he didn't know what was. "I take it the remaining tests don't involve a firing squad?" God I hope not.
  3. Rift Rifts Reputation House of L Vignette The Sounds of Science The One Where They Fight The Nazi's Battle of the Bands World domination through recycling Hangin' with The Thing That Should Not Be Lady Winter Cold Case
  4. "I think the "Turn the power station back on" part is gonna be more complicated than that man." Rift said to the speedster. He did note the two new arrivals on the scene. He wondered briefly if Valkyrie survived on a diet of ham for a moment. He also wished her enterence wasn't so damn loud. Hey, that exchange student is here as well...Wonder if she knows about machinery. I really hope so. "Well, I think its a safe bet Valkyrie will go get rid of the fake techs. I'll come with the reactor team and see what I can do." He said.
  5. "I agree man." Warren said as he sat upside down re-tuning his guitar. It might have been a busy week for the guitarist, but even he was starting to find it annoying to sit around all day and do nothing. Well, technically he could get started working on that metal converter and get some materials made, but so far he just couldn't find the components to make it work. "I don't have guitar practice with Eddie and Zoe until later today." He kept thinking for a moment, strumming a few random notes from his guitar while the blood continued to rush to his head. "Hm....Give some crooks the smackdown?" Warren asked his roommate/Half Eldrich abomination. Really got to ask how he became Lovecraft's or Blackcroft's living nightmare...
  6. "Once again, Thank you." Lady Winter said. She tried her best to follow everything Psyche said, though she did admit she never really factored in energy costs with bases. "How long have you been doing this?" She asked the redhead. "Superheroing I mean. I am curious about everything after all." Truth be told, she had a faint idea, but it seemed to be largely what the public knew. But there was always bound to be a few things even they did not know.
  7. Pretty soon, the spot Rift was hovering by was nothing more than a giant orb of burning flame. Rifts Sound barrier was managing to keep the flames at bay, though he could feel the intense heat on his face. He was able to narrowly avoid most of the whipping cables of the suspension bridge, a far stray cables managing to nick his shield and knock the flames away. Damnit, Gotta take care of these spiders. But I have to-"Oh" He stopped thinking when a mass of energy appeared underneath the mini van and started lifting it above the ground. He could make out Sparksmith doing his thing. "Thanks man." He called out. Then he heard the woman cry out in panic. "See if you can do something about the engine before the fuel tank goes off!" He left those words as he moved away from the fire spewing bots and moved into position in the center of the road, moving back enough to get the four bots from before in between the hord. He couldn't hear anyone else in the army of spider bots before him, so he doubted he was about to do more harm than good. "Well, time to send these things back to the scrap heap." He muttered as he started playing a solo of the top of his head, a massive wave of sound washing over the masses of robots.
  8. Another Reflex Save! 1d20+8=22 Made it. Now for Toughness (Again) 1d20+10=28 And now I do some power stunting. HP to fight off Fatigue. Strike 10 (Extras: Area: [Cone]) [20PP]
  9. Lady Winter smiled. "Why thank you, but I am not feeling hungry at the moment." She did find the girls attitude was helping her shake of the recent memories of Dead Head, which she found reassuring. She followed the petite redhead to the computer screens. "I am unsure. I doubt I could afford the luxury of a elaborate base for long. Apartment I could get for some time until funds dry up. Money is...hard to come by when one looks as I do. Though I do have quite a bit kept away." She said as she fidgeted. "I am paying you back, correct?" She was feeling easier around Psyche, but not as much as she would like.
  10. Reflex rolls! 28, 14, 26, 21 Toughness 30 First stream is easily diverted 20 DC20 Stream barely blocked Last two rolls: 29, 21 Rift makes it out unharmed :)
  11. Taking ten to attack spider on the Mini van. Maxing out Power Attack.
  12. Rift did a quick take on the scene. He quite honestly didn't expect self-replicating Spider robots on the scene. He did see something close to a blurr help a man out of a car and get away. He felt a little calmer that there were other heroes on the scene. He doubted he could take down Talos himself, he was infamous for standing up to the Centurion one on one if his memory serves right. He spotted several small figures trapped in a car surrounded by spider bots. No way could he start clearing them out if people are in danger. OK, Get people out and assist everyone getting the spiders and Talos out. Simple enough plan. And with a plan, Rift strummed out a note and was suddenly hovering over the minivan and playing another line of notes that sent a sonic blast at the Spider on top of the Minivan.
  13. I'll edit. Must have missed that bit :P
  14. A initiative roll that doesn't suck! 1d20+3=20
  15. Southside Rift sighed as he sat on the ledge of a roof on top of a rundown apartment building. It had been a surprisingly quiet day so far. The Brotherhood seemed to be busy keeping their heads down and the usual muggers and thugs won't come out until nightfall. He leaned back as he tuned his guitar, still ready for when some small time crime showed itself. What was about to happen however was beyond small. As the Teen Guitarist strummed a few notes, he heard someones TV inside the building. He stopped dead when he heard the reports of panic on the bridge, the chaos and panic that was growing. And worse of all, the chilling metallic voice of Talos. Without thinking rift slid off the ledge, quickly feeling the pulse and sound of the neighborhood giving him flight. I'm going to be waaaaay over my head doing this. He thought as he willed his sound barrier into existence and his fingers tightened their hold on the stings. But I can't just sit on my ass and do nothing. Taking a pick out from his pocket, he rose upwards, getting a clear shot at the bridge as far as he could tell. With one strum of his guitar and a loud bang, Rift was nothing more than a blur of motion as he sent himself rocketing though the air towards Centery Bridge in a streak of black and blue.
  16. Reflex again! 1d20+8=19 Toughness save. 1d20+2=7 ....I demand a Re-Roll! *watches a HP fly away* 1d20+2=19 ...Better. Its just a bruise.
  17. "A pleasure to meet you." Lady Winter said, shaking Psyche's hand. She could feel the distinct chill of the Russians skin, It was a lot like touching ice. "Thank you for letting me come here. You have quite a interesting place here. I am surprised someone so young could get their hands on such things." She did wonder briefly if she could afford something like this, but she knew that she didn't have that much in all her bank accounts. No matter...
  18. Reflex on Rifts part: 1d20+8=23 Made it! Crummy initiative though 1d20+3=8
  19. Warren was completely focused on his guitar, years of practice and dedication shown to the raging crowd before him. His fingers danced across the fret board and strummed strings with precision. He didn't play with the same sort of savagery as Zoe. He seemed almost calm as he played, but the grinding and notes seemed to match what he actually felt as the song played. Sticks drums and Eddies singing seemed to grow louder than they normally should. He didn't notice his powers acting while he played, only thing that mattered then and there was the music and the desire for everyone to hear it.
  20. Lady Winter blinked for a moment, looking around surprised that her surroundings had changed so quickly. The frost quickly stopped before it could affect the ground in any way. "Its controllable...Err, I was not expecting this." She had to admit it was a nice place, if a little too retro for her tastes. It as still a little strange and the lack of familiarity was making her a little uncomfortable.
  21. "I can travel in different ways." Lady Winter said with a shrug. At that moment, her Ice hammer fell apart into a puddle of slush and water. It quickly moved towards the grass and plants, something that technically shouldn't happen. She waited patiently as Wander called Psyche and nodded once the conversation was over. "Yes I am. Point the way and I will follow." She said, frost starting to cover the ground a few center meters around the Blue Russians feet.
  22. Lady Winter took a step away from the moving bones. The Zombie might have agreed he was wrong in attacking her, but she was not going to stay too close to him doing his "work". She was at least glad she had some help if that came to that. She turned back to Wander, managing a smile despite her fears. "Thank you. That would help me tremendously for the time being." Her eyes darted back to the reanimating beings, making her feel even more uncomfortable before darting back to Wander. "Let us be off."
  23. Damn, Rift is gonna need a date >_>
  24. By this point, Rift was in agony. He clearly underestimated just how powerful (not to mention painful) the shots were going to be. The teen was mostly just spewing out a long list of profanities that were best left unmentioned. All the while he berated himself for the sheer idiocy of it all...And hoping his ears were still intact. He made a note to never willingly allow a mad scientist shoot him again. It did tell him that he should improve his skills with erecting the barrier. Sonic distortions were going to be a problem in the future if he wasn't careful.
  25. Rift will keep going until Medical Treatment is called for.
