  1. "Who is this guy? No, really, who is he?" Even though it had nothing to do with common sense, Randy... no, Carbon felt that he could get some more leads from following that man. So far he seemed to know and be able to figure out a lot then he could. The only thing he lacked right now, was a direction to people that might know more. This couldnt be a mere coincidence. Personal safety? You're one of superheroes or what? Actually, that didnt sound all that far-fetched. But if you insist, I do know a few people here and there and this job doesnt really pay. Thats right, pretend to be greedy (he was, but only a little), it should be convincing enough.
  2. Turns out Im not stunned then and only bruised once. Since I have a health check each turn, its as good as gone.
  3. Happy B-Day, have a nice day and keep up the good work (at whatever you do).
  4. First hit: 1+14=15. Nope, HP rerolling: What the hell?? 2+10+14=26 Nothing. Second hit: 7+14=21 One bruised. Carbon current health: Bruised
  5. In that case... well, Im toast. Failed by 15 Unconciouss... you may as well kill me now. And I dont think I have a HP for that either. But I still get a recovery check. At least I dont suck at this.
  6. The attack missed anyway, so feel free to post.
  7. "Damnit, why is this guy so perceptive? You're a damn geek, you're supposed to be all over Star Trek and computers to notice stuff around you!" was what Randy wanted to say, but resisted. Still, it was a little too close for comfort. Oh, sorry about the detour, must've slipped my mind during conversation... so yeah, this one's free then, as an apology. Few bucks wont save him anyway. Not that he even gets much money from this job at all- most of his funds are spoils of crimefighting that couldnt be brought back to original owners. He wasnt nice enough to donate to charities on daily basis... yet. Maybe he should find an orphanage and start investing in it, like in those movies?

Yes, I did and I know. But to avarage viewer (ie: one that doesnt spend hours on wikipedia or youtube) this is just bad acting, period.

I dont know much about Adam West, aside from being Batman in 60's and doing a career out of it even long after it ended (hence the Adam Westing), but is a regular person supposed to see that?
  10. And Carbon didnt stop being pummeled, like some sort of punching bag that couldnt even get a good grasp of the situation. He wanted to blame it on the beer, but getting so weak after only few would be more embarrasing then getting a beating from a woman. Winged woman. He just needed to wait for a second wing, or maybe she'll get tired soon?

Just saw Kick-Ass recently and ... it was good. Really good Not much from the source was changed (granted, I havent finished the graphic novel), there was enough action, humor and suspense to keep me interrested and entertained for the whole time. The only gripe I have, is Nickolas Cage as Big Daddy. My god, Im not sure if his acting was so awesome its beyond me... or so bad its horrible, as if he didnt even try to make his lines sound remotely natural. Its not a good sign when a preteen girl does a better job than famous and experianced Hollywood actor. Also, some of the stuff that in comics came out of nowhere, here were obvious from the start, like the appearance and identity of Red Mist or first appearance of Hit Girl and Big Daddy. But hey, details, details. I liked it, oh so very much :)
  12. Live long, prosper, have a lot of kids and... no, wait. Ah, whatever you know the drill. I hate cliche lines.
  13. Once again, resisted a punch with rather low effectivness Result: 23 (I forgot to include Bruised penalty for toughness, but it doesnt change anything anyway) One again, stunned and bruised (thats two). Also, Im getting a bruised recovery check (once per turn). Result: 18. One bruised wound healed.
  14. Doesnt rolling 1 automatically means you go last?
  15. Alas. this has proved to be a good idea after all. He sure was talkative though. Teleportation that cant be stopped? Heh, this is like 60's all over again. Today they can as well, but it has to be a BIG gun. And even that doesnt guarantee a success. Maybe it was a good time to mention the other theft? Randy discreetly took the wrong turn just to make the journey and conversation a little longer (out of modesty, he'll cut that from the fee). I heard rumors about that the other day, some District Attorney look-alikes. Years ago they'd say its long lost evil twin, but even a small cab driver can name at least five shapeshifters in Freedom City alone. Actually, he couldnt name more then two, but thats beside the point. Think there'll be more of them? Thefts, I mean.
  16. Greenback shopping center, gotcha. And so he started the car toward the closest route to said destination. Meanwhile, he started to remember why he knew this guy so much- he was everywhere, from magazines, newspaper, TV to mouths of people in bars, mostly construction crews that worked on his many project. Dr Archeville, a real legend in his own cab! He quickly passed him the newspaper, the one he just stopped reading not a long while ago. Here you go, sir. And yes, he could act nice for a while, even if that guys accent was unbearable at times. Maybe he could quietly ask him a few questions that could help? So, I heard about all those recent thefts in the city. Im not exactly a tech-specialist or anything, but who in their right mind would steal some random parts anyway?
  17. It wasnt as fun as she expected, becouse one blow was enough to knock him down and cause a major headache. But still, if his skin wasnt made out of stone, he'd be a puddle of his own blood already (and he wasnt sure if he could heal THAT). He didnt get up yet, but judging from his grumbling slightly resembling some non-PG rated curse words, he wasnt down for good. Damn...women... And his small bruises from last strike were already slowly fading away (which was a tad weird to see on a stone body).
  18. Seemed like he wasnt the only one who wanted to beat down some monsters. Good for them, judging by their size there's plenty for everyone. The one on the airport was already occupied, but one more wont make a difference. He noticed one archer, but whether it was Bowman or that other guy (what was his name?) was beyond him. And one familiar face- he'll recognize those deadlocks everywhere. As he charged at the monster, he passed by Wesley Knight and only threw a quick "HI WES!" as he punched the monster in the legs... without making so much as a scratch. Not a good sign. "Huh... Gotta punch harder next time."
  19. I posted my current stats on first page. Unarmed attack in stone form is DC: 29
  20. Resisting a punch: a natural 1...... no, better not. HP to the rescue! Rerolled one- 22 Still ouch. Carbon- Bruised and Stunned
  21. A costumer just in the middle of investigation... or rather, attempt to try to start one, or find some way to start it. Then again, one more didnt really hurt. Plus, this guy looked awfully familiar, as if he saw him somewhere. Sure, why not. Where to?
  22. Freedom City is a city full of mysteries and once in a while you keep forgeting that you're not the only one of them. The so called damsel in distress turned out to be... a demon? Mutant? Whatever it was, it (or she) easily took out others and now had her eyes on Randy. Just one single line and scary eyes were enough to scare the c**p out of adult, superpowered macho. But that didnt stop his instincts from touching the nearest wall to turn into much tougher form and before the enemy could react, he threw his mighty punch at her. It seemed like a good idea at a time... not that he was thinking about it.
  23. One step from being and Epic fail. Intimidate counter: 2 You just scared an adult male with powers. Congratz. Either way, after turning into the nearest wall (literally), I attempt to beat the damn monster (Carbon doesnt know much about superheroes... plus, he's too shaken to think). Attack roll: 23 DC: 29 Str: 38 (+14) (Effective strenght: 53) Grapple: +23 Knockback: -8 Toughness: +14 (+4 Con, +1 Defensive roll, +5 Protection, +4 Density) Impervious Toughness: 8 Weight: 1520 lbs Unarmed DC: 29
  24. Carbon has two new pictures. Please post them one next to another. http://img541.imageshack.us/img541/8738/carbonbig2.png http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/5664/carbonbig.png The old one doesnt fit anymore, so erase it. DONE BY SHAENTHEBRAIN
