  1. Blink will be looking for some redemption. Please move her to the Hero side of things. Not much of a villainous career really...
  2. Sometimes Blink really did wonder about the patience that the hero before her showed. It was a weakness, that was for certain. He seemed to know that something was still amiss, but didn't act on it. Did that make him virtuous or foolish. A week ago, she wouldn't have hesitated to say the former, now she wasn't quite so certain. Kidnapping was never really her thing, although this was more of a case of returning a wayward child to their parents. If that was the case, why did it feel so wrong? It was possible that she'd gotten it very wrong all along and that you couldn't tightrope a fine line between legality and thuggery. Regardless, money was money, and a job a job. With a sigh, she smiled up at Dark Star, blew him a little kiss and said, "You're sweet. However, we really do have to go. Please take care of the boy, I think that between his own anger and the people after him, he's going to need it. Tell your angry friend that he should really learn some manners." She felt the space around her, a few hundred yards away was a series of row houses. She picked one at random and willed her and the girl to that spot. With any luck no one would be home.
  3. Not only does she agree with me, I think we'll be dating soon... (1d20+11) = 31
  4. Blink nodded in what she hoped was a sincere fashion at Dark Star. While the ambush failed, she was withing touching distance of the target. All that remained was convincing her that getting away quickly was in her best interest. She sat down on the curb of the street, pulling the girl down next to her. "Look," Blink whispered in the girl's ear. "We need to get out of here, and quickly. You know that they're going to set us up for the whole thing. I can get all of us out of here before they notice. All you have to do is agree. Don't say anything, just nod and we'll be gone before they know what happened." She squeezed the girl's shoulder, willing her to agree to travel in Blink's unorthodox manner. Of course, she had no intention of taking the boy with her. That wasn't part of the deal and frankly she wasn't too thrilled with what her employers might do to him. Besides, she reasoned more to convince herself, he'd likely be sprung from anything they tried to pin on him and might even get to press his own charges for assault.
  5. So dialogue is permitted out of phase now?
  6. Blink has some soul searching to take care of. She doesn't really have any close friends, and a long walk in the park is probably something she'll be doing. She likes to be doing things, even if she's mulling over a problem. However, if you have enough, that's totally fine as well.
  7. Blink is available just about any time. She's heading to the redemption route... however, I'd imagine that her craving for excitement would find this kind of activity to be right up her alley.
  8. Blink Star Crossed Lovers 3 posts (I also never posted up 3 from August if that can still count)
  9. Edited my post very slightly to add the word answered. It was supposed to be there, but my late night posting haze must have eaten it. Makes more sense now.
  10. Blink looked around at the heroes, keeping her face a planned mask of fear and panic. Running wasn't much of an option, the flying hero seemed to be able to levitate people against their will. Certainly, they wouldn't get too far on foot. Yet there were always options. Grabbing the girl's hand she pulled gently, but firmly back, "he's ok... don't run out there in case people start shooting again." Then she stepped closer and whispered in the girls ear, "if jail is not a place you want to end up, please trust me. I only want to look out for your best interest, but I'll need your cooperation and help." With the message quickly and discreetly given, she turned to Edge while pulling the girl back towards the cover of the buildings, "oh thank you... I mean the people started shooting... and the car fell from the sky... and someone tried to blow it up too! We'll answer any questions that you have, but can we do it while not standing right in the middle of the street in case they come back?" Keeping a hold of the girls hand, she started to pull her steadily back towards the buildings lining the dockside district. As she did so, she darted her head from side to side as if looking for more thugs. Additionally, she made a good pretense of trying to shield herself behind Edge as she moved.
  11. Castle was down, AngryDurf said roll in chat: Bluff 1d20 = 10 + 11 + 4 = 25 (11 skill, 4 attractive) Copy from Chat: (15:42:19) FreedomBot: blink rolls 1d20 and gets 10. (15:42:26) blink: OK good enough, I'll post that out.
  12. As Edge touched down lightly in front of her, Blink looked at the hero for a moment, feigning shock. Frankly, she was stunned that one of the heroes had fired on the two of them. Although, she didn't exactly know what kind of record the girl had. Perhaps she'd had a run in or two with the law before. Genuinely wincing a bit, Blink nodded at Edge, "I'm ok... I just wanted to get away. Please, help me get her out of all the shooting." While she could have hefted the girl on her own, she struggled to lift the unconscious girl and started to lift and drag her towards the cover of the buildings. As she did, thoughts raced through her mind. Soon the authorities would be arriving, and her squad was already likely done for. They were pretty cool characters and she always made sure not to leave any identifying information with them. Assuming they sat tight, she would see about getting the mob's lawyers to spring them as soon as possible. There were always legal technicalities, and if anyone could find them, the mob could. The soldier in her regretted the necessity to leave them, but this wasn't a war zone, and at worst they'd be looking at a few months cooling their heels... if they spent any time at all. The more she thought about it, the boyfriend was likely packing an illegal weapon and would be headed to jail. The girl would be returned to her parents, and it looked very likely that whomever had shot her, would have some legal issues. It wasn't conventional... but it did meet the criteria for the job. The boy and girl were separated, and the irony is that the legal system would do the rest for her. If she could keep her cool, she'd get her payout. It was a shame, she considered while pulling at the unconscious girl. She longed to battle, to strive and compete with these heroes. She could see that the one before her was competent and trained... of course the fact that he was cute didn't hurt at all. Desire was one thing, money was another.
  13. Note to self: Get more levels of Morph.
  14. Oh and if it wasn't clear enough, that, I believe, was my last VP. Curse you Invisible Castle!
  15. Ouch that's going to hurt (1d20+7=9) So it's time to use the last bit of fate... So she staggers under the impact, but shrugs it off (1d20+7=25) On an related note, what kind of hero opens up on two women fleeing the scene? Considering neither of us has any weapons, nor has made any threatening actions other than fleeing the scene of several people shooting. I'd think there's got to be some serious repercussions on that kind of action. Add to the fact that there are several people with weapons who are actually shooting... well it doesn't look very heroic.
  16. Ok that's odd, it showed a post last night when I did the roll. However, here's the post again. I'm sure it was an ID10T error, but I swear I had it in and submitted. Maybe I just previewed and turned the machine off for the night... Anyway, sorry for the hold up.
  17. As the car crashed to the ground, metal groaned and parts that were likely essential to the operation of the vehicle bounced around the pavement. Blink grunted with the jolt which gave her away to the woman in front of the car. There were only seconds to gain the woman's trust, if not things would get really ugly really quick. She didn't want to disable the guy in the front, besides the idiot might actually hit one of the heroes with that hand cannon he was waving excitedly about. "Sorry, I hitched a ride... I should have said something, but you were like so lovey dovey that... oh, never mind! Those guys are shooting at us, let's get out of here." The woman in the front looked at her suspiciously for a moment, but fresh gunfire and the acrid smoke were ample persuasion. She lept out of the back, taking the other girls hand began to run for the nearest alley.
  18. Wait, you need another IC post from me? Isn't that out of order? Or do you want the post of us leaving the vehicle?
  19. Blink is trying to convince the girl to leave with her... Quick out of the car! Really, it's not strange that I was in your back seat. Pay no attention at all to that.
  20. Sorry was traveling and didn't realize it was my turn Post to follow in a moment!
  21. Well no one should see me... Oh except everyone as I trip and fall flat faced into the back seat of the car (1d20+15=16) Which warrants a villain point. Ah the smoke and gunfire, just the kind of conditions to keep you hidden... oh and the mass of a car helps against the gravity sensors too! (1d20+15=27) So she's being kind of sneaky back there.
  22. It is? Ok that changes things... So the guy and girl are in the car, which is floating... the guy is shooting out the window. Am I right on this?
  23. Ok here is the roll for a female companion of the couple... No really there must have been 3 kids in that car... disguise (1d20+15=32)
  24. Trying to look as contrite as she could Blink shouted, "Whoa! They're shooting at us!" She backed quickly away from the heroes towards the alley she had just come out of. The smell of stale beer mingled with the pungent odor from the wharfs themselves. Trash littered the ground as she ducked in as quickly as she could. She had to move fast while the element of surprise was not completely lost. 'Three heroes! Really? Is this girl that important...' The officers outfit shimmered briefly as she morphed into a younger looking blonde haired girl. Her clothes matched the style and quality of the couple in the car and she reminded herself to play the role. Taking a deep breath, she focused her thoughts concentrating on the car. With a practiced ease she reappeared in the back seat, surrounded by the thick smoke from the grenades. For the moment, she was quiet as the blasts from the gun in the front concealed her as much as the obscuring white clouds. 'I need to remember to get that guy a bonus...' she thought to herself as did her best to look suitably confused.
  25. Ok quick questions before I can post. I am behind Arrowhawk who is wiping the floor with a minion. Above is DS. Where is the smoke and how many of the minions are left? Also, I am assuming that the minions attacking were indeed the contacted muscle I came with. There isn't another team that I was with was there? Sorry just want to clarify the basics before getting into trouble :)
