Slamdance was surpised for a moment at being lifted in the air before remembering the sensation. 'A guy could get used to being chauffered around like this.' he thought as they skimmed through the air. After a little bit they started to dip in altitude. 'I should have her drop m...' Sandro thought as he was interrupted by Avenger shouting out: "Me, too" He yelled above the sound of the rushing wind. "I need room to be effective." He then braced himself for the drop, in case there wasn't any warning.

I'm not sure where I was going with the last bit that started with 'he', so I just dropped it.

Dr, I think you're right. I've just spent 7 hours looking as spreadsheets, so I'll have to try to regain my train of thought later. Will fix later tonight or in the morning. -Razorback

Sandro watched as the two interacted. 'Alley behind a porno theatre. Sounds like a bad joke.' Not for the first time he wondered if he was way over his head. 'Demon dogs or hell-hounds or whatever. Do my powers even protect me? And, what kind of connection do they have with Richie's killer? Scarab's request brought Sandro out of his head and brought what was unfolding in front of him from some background noise into focus. He watched as she knelt and then was caught off-guard by the... other Scarabs flying away. "I've never... worked with a telepath before. Is this pretty standard?" He asked Avenger. As he waited for an answer, he moved so his back was against the wall and Scarab was in front of him and scanned the area to make sure that they weren't being watched.

I'm not seeing a problem with this, either. Maybe someone fused my con, too. So, is this going to be an issue with timing? If so, where should Slamdance meet you two?

Got Slamdance home and back on his way to meet you two. He should be less than half an hour behind you guys. Made a few rolls that may or may not have been necessary but I figured get them out of the way instead of going back and doing them. Will check up on you night birds in the morning. -Razorback

"Ok, just to the surface please." Slamdance answers the Golden Hero. He keeps expecting her to wave her hand or make some gesture but, instead, he feels some unseen force pick him up gently as they rush to the surface. "Give me half an hour and do your telepathy thing. I should be back into the downtown area by then." With that, he turns and rushes towards his home in Bayview. 'Dad should be asleep. I just need to go in, mess up my bed a little bit, make it look like I had breakfast and leave a note saying I had some volunteer stuff to do before school. Yeah, that's all.' He gets about a block away before removing his mask and gloves. He takes a quick look around but doesn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Skateboarding the last block up, he does a quick little flip and catches the board midair, walking past the last few houses on his way home. 'Dad's home but the lights are out. This should be fairly easy.' With that, he takes his keys out and as quietly as he can, sneaks into his room. He opens the little safe he has in his drawers, punches in the code and removes everything he has. 'Hopefully, this will be able to get me a phone and Blue Bullz' he thinks to himself, which causes him to yawn. 'And, I've got no time for that.' Quietly moving downstairsto the kitchen, he pours himself a bowl of cereal as he gets some of his dad's energy bars and loads them into his backpack. 'Might be a stackout or something' he thinks to himself as a grabs some fruit and throws into the backpack. He also writes up a note to his dad telling him he got up early to go down to the shelter. 'That should cover everything... except school. I wonder if I could get dark and brooding to call in as my dad? But then he'll know my name. Well, I have a few hours at least to figure this out.' With that he checks the time on his phone. 'Huh. If I hurry I will be early... for being later than the other two.' With that he walks out the door and locks it, walking a little faster than would seem normal. A few blocks away, he looks around and, not seeing anyone, puts his gloves and mask back on as becomes a blur in motion on his way to the meeting point with his two new partners.

Sandro looks down at his watch, the first time he's checked in hours. 'I need to get home and make it look like I was there last night. Probably leave him a note saying I had to do something before school. An energy drink might help. And call the school to tell them I'm not going to school. He shakes his head, eyes going wide for a moment. 'This hero thing is more work than I thought.' "I need to make a small... detour before I can continue. It shouldn't take me more than half an hour." With a quick grin and a little tilt of his head he asks "If you can give me a lift into town, it might cut down on the time a little bit. You're quite a bit faster than me." He pauses for a moment, waiting for The Scarab to answer but blurts out "Do we need anything that might help?" before he thinks, and then hopes he didn't come off sounding like a kid. Again.

So, at this time: What time of the morning is it? Depending on how early/late it is, he can make a quick run home, either meet his dad 'on the way out' or leave a note on his dad's pillow letting him know he's spent the night at Billy's.

I apologize if I've been silent. Work has kept me overloaded the past week or two. I'm on my break right now but I'll read through and reply during my lunch. -Razorback

Not a problem, at least at this stage. It looks like my time schedule is opposite you guys. At this point Slamdance's age and lack of skills means he is not much help in the investigation part. You can attribute his lack of interaction on that (or my inability to chime in at night). That being said I need to go back and reread the last page or so of IC and OOC... It wasn't making sense to me, but the link my provide info. Hopefully I can do this at lunch today.

Agreed. Slamdance can take 20 on Pop Culture and Computer, 24 each, and Current Events for a 22. For the rest he is not help out all. I imagine it will take most, if not all, of the night to get through all this.

Probably carrying him would be the most effiecient way... of course, he is still a teenage boy with raging hormones, so... :oops:

'I need to start paying more attention in science class if I want to be any good at this stuff' Sandro thinks to himself as he extends his hand to the Doctor. "I appreciate your help" he says with a firm handshake "If you ever need my help with anything please let me know. It looks like you have your... sources, so getting in contact with me shouldn't be a problem." With that, he turns and looks at The Scarab to let her know he is ready to leave. 'Hopefully, I didn't come off sounding like a kid trying to sound adult. Or fake. And, I need to concentrate on my research so if I ever work with others I can contribute more than standing there to keep the floor from floating away' he mentally berates himself as he takes one more look around the room. 'I guess some kind of hideout or base or whatever would probably help. Gotta figure that out, too.' He gives his head a little shake and smiles under his mask as he lets the Doctor escort The Scarab and himself out.

Me too... will revise. Hmmm, power's I'll clean up, along with the changes for antenaes (they are for his superscent so but not manipulating things... I wasn't sure). I'll clean up the powerloss/drawbacks mess. Which leads me to... So, thinking about how he's structured, would it be more advisable to have the bonus will, skills(int based), some feats (inventor, focii) as part of the Enhanced traits suite? These would then disappear in version 1.1 under his powerlosses? Yes, he can read and write English but not speak it. Defense, like the low charisma, are intentional. It's not his MO to get into a stand up fight. I'm going to clean up the background to reflect the fact that he has taught himself, with the unintentional help of Eagle Industries and his power to communicate with/through computers, the skills listed. This would include his prediliction towards inventiveness. Hmm... didn't know that about ants. The idea for the character came around Turkey Day. I had my (then) year and a half old was watching this show. There is an episode where, the ant on the pigs hand, get a G and an I put on the front, becoming a Giant. You can see where my twisted mind took it from there. But, back on track, the nanites must have triggered some latent gene, which grew the wings... On that note, it's almost beer-thirty. Slamdance followed Dr. Archeville and Scarab into the hidden room, still a little stunned that anyone had heard of him. 'But, is that a good thing or a bad thing?' he thought to himself. He had intentionally kept a low profile but it felt good that somone in the hero community knew who he was. Of course, if the Doctor had heard of him possible some of the not so upstanding citizens in FC had heard of him to... he would have to think about this when he had time. He then focused on what the other two were talking about.

Not a problem. Because Sandro realizes that he has little knowledge of the supernatural, other than what he gets from the media, he's going to blend into the background and chime in when necessary.

Slamdance responds to the Dr's question, trying to hide his emotion with a 24 bluff check. Shaen, I was just curious. I'd like to make the references IC as 'she' or 'her', if it's ok with you, instead of "The Scarab walked down the street" .

"We are looking for the person who did this horrible... act" Slamdance replies, trying not to let his emotions show. "If you could help, I would be in your debt."

Shaen, quick question: Is Scarab obviously female? If not, Slamdance gets an 11 check out.

Slamdance would be no. He's fairly new to the hero scene, and being a teenager in high school, is still figuring out regular life along with everything associated with being a hero. So far, it hasn't been a part of his education, although he has tried to be cautious and discreet when possible.

As noted in the IC thread, Slamdance is going to catch a ride with Scarab, taking the blindfold option. He got a 15 on his computer use...hopefully he gets a bonus from either Aid Another from Scarab and/or the sooper dooper fancy Daedalus compooter. Let me know if I need anything else before Scarab resonds please.

Slamdance pauses to consider a moment. "As I'm sure your familiar, we all have secrets. It's a little to early for that level of trust. You understand if I take the blind fold... which is a sign of trust, if you take it that way." Sandro then closes his eyes, waiting for the blind fold to be placed. 'By the way, I don't want to run into anything, so if you can give me a lift to your... lair." he says with a grin.
