  1. Sorry to hear it Shaen. Hopefully more good than bad. Slamdance is going to stand and use his speed & stealth to Hide in Plain Sight, with a 27 total. Since he can move 125' without penalty, he will position himself, at the end of his move, to line himself up for an overrun through Fox into a charge at Shark.
  2. Some of us need to pay attention to these threads... I was wondering how I had 93 and read through and realized that I had one from January. Can I add improved overrun? Done by Sandman XI
  3. Hey Doc, someone update Slamdance with the 2 new feats per my request. When will you allow these to take effect?
  4. Thanks for reminding me, I just had to proof him again. And, thanks to Doc for sending me down the right direction with the container. I think he's right, so... Players Name: Razorback Power Level: 10 Trade-Offs: +2 Attack for -2 Damage, - 3 Defense for + 3 Toughness] Unspent PP: 0 Characters Name: Gi-Ant Alternate Identity: N/A Length: 7'4" Weight: 872 lbs Hair: None Eyes: Black Description: Gi-Ant is your typical ant… grown to 7 and half feet in length and weighing over a quarter ton. Personality & Motivation: Gi-Ant is your typical soldier black ant living an ant’s life underground below Eagle Industries. During and experiment in nanites and nanotechnology, the laboratory ran by Dr. Sung was attacked by super powered villains bent on stealing the technology. Dr. Sung was killed in the ensuing battle, knocking over a container hold his most advanced nanites specimens and releasing them as he died. Antonio D’Aquila, the owner of Eagle Industries, along with the authorities assumed that any samples were stolen or destroyed in the fire that was eventually contained. The neither D’Aquila or the authorities know who or why the lab was broken into. Eventually, the nanites found their way underground, below the lab, as they sought to escape the heat of the fire. Per their programming, they sought out the first biological life form and took over it’s many of it’s biological functions. This ant would eventually become the being known as Gi-Ant. Slowly, over time, the ant became aware. It also began to grow in size as the nanites replicated and replaced or enhanced Gi-Ant’s physiology. Over time, Gi-Ant began to become aware of the other ants and learned to control them. Also, Gi-Ant learned that, when in proximity to computers, he could use them with just his mind. He began to develop mental powers and expand his knowledge. As time progressed he was in contact with other ants and learned he could control them. One day, while in contact with a group of ants, he was using them to show him how the humans interacted when they were cruelly crushed to death by a human boy. Thinking this was a mistake because he burrowed to the surface to communicate with the boy. As he broke the surface at the school playground, the boy fell back and knocked himself out. The teachers, thinking it was a monster attacking, called in the police and superheroes. Gi-Ant tried to communicate but was attacked by the police. Fleeing underground, he eventually linked with a computer and spent much time digesting what had happened. He eventually came to the realization that humans saw ants as nothing more than pests that needed to be eradicated. He also saw newsreels (50’s sci-fi movies) of other ants similar to him being killed or destroyed. Realizing the error of his ways, he became bent on destroying human civilization and bringing ant society to the rightful forefront of as the dominant life form on Earth. 5. Slamdance did a quick survey of the situation, and saw the Fox weaponless. Quickly thinking he could distract him long enough for Scarab to finish him off while giving himself the room he needed to be effective against the Shark, he charged canid-looking villain. He looked towards Avenger and Vulture, starting to move in there direction, hoping that Fox would think he was going against another target. Changing direction a few steps in, he caught the Fox off-guard with his charade, charging forward at Fox full force. Putting his head down, he thought about which direction he was going to set himself up for his charge against Shark. He felt the impact with Fox as he started to slide around him but failed to see the Fox raise his arm and, in what would have made an professional wrestler proud, clothslined Slamdance. Spinning head over heels a few times, crashed to the ground in a heap with his face pointed to the sky. His only thought was to wonder if the stars were really up in the sky or just in his head.
  6. So, the points from Feb and March I'd like to use to pick up Fast Overrun and Improved Trip. Done by Sandman XI
  7. Basically, he's using his blazing speed and a little bit of head/eye movement to keep the direction he's going to hit Fox, thereby getting the drop - surprise - on him, if Fox doesn't avoid. D'oh, forgot about that.
  8. Ok, I'm ready to use them. In the March thread I was directed to the character edit thread but it's locked. With my 2 points I'd like to pick up Fast Overrun and Improved Trip. Help.
  9. Sorry, just got up and online. Slamdance rolled a 20 will save, so he succeeded. So... Slamdance is going to attempt to overrun the Fox since it looks like Avenger has a handle on Vulture. He tricks as part of a move action which makes it +1 and he gets a ... 10, which probably didn't succeed. A) If the Fox decideds to avoid Slamdance, he move as far as he can, preferably 250ft+, in a straight line from the Shark to set up for a slam. If Fox blocks, Slamdance gets a 21 to hit and a... Arrgh, 1 on the roll for opposed trip for a total of 3. If Fox takes this route, Slamdance will burn a hero point to reroll... for an 8. And I was going to use that hero point.
  10. Sandro saw the three figures lurking but he wasn't sure if his new partners had. 'Oh, man, what...' was as far as he got into this thought process before the guy in the Fox outfit fired his gun, striking Scarab. Was as far as he heard from Avenger. He didn't see if Scarab crumbled from the blast or not, but he knew he needed to act. From their prior experience, he knew that Avenger could handle the Vulture. He just hoped that he was fast enough to knock the Shark off his feet before he could pounce on either of his allies and get to the Fox before he could fire his weapon again. He couldn't tell who the Shark was looking at but he hoped it was somewhere else. As he started to charge forward, it seemed as if everyone slowed down, moment by moment. Avenger, pointing and yelling, seemed to slow like some bad edit job in an unfunny movie and his movements were as if he were underwater. As he moved towards his target, the world around him seemed to contract as if he had some sort of tunnel vision. At the last moment before he slammed into the Shark, he pistoned his hand forward like he had learned in his martial arts class. It blurred forward, even to his senses, awkwardly striking the Shark as he thought 'I really need to practice more or get back into that class if I'm going to continue to do this', the blow resonating through his body as everyone seemed to speed up and catch up to him.
  11. Oops, sorry. So, once it hits his initiative order, Slamdance will charge forward to strike Sharkdude. He only rolled a 13, including a plus 2 from the charge. Defense is +1 till his next turn. I'll IC once I know whether he's hit or not.
  12. I'm confused... surprised or not for Slamdance?
  13. ^^ He is... he beat the semi-speedster Slamdances 17 .
  14. Considering we both have +8 to notice, I would say we rocked.
  15. Slamdance has one from February and one from March... I'd like to continue not using them for now.
  16. Sandro skated up to his house, noticing that the lights were still on. 'That's not a good sign.' he thought to himself. Looking in the window, he could see his father at the dinner table eating while working on his laptop. Knowing that he probably could sneak past his dad while also knowing that he was probably in trouble since his dad was in the dining room, he decided to take the direct approach. Walking in the front door and, after locking the door, he walked into the dining room. "Hi papa... whatcha eating?" he said as he started to walk into the kitchen to see what he had ordered on his way home. As he got about half way through the room, his dad put his hand up letting Sandro know to stop... and also letting him know he was about to get lectured. After a moment, he looked up at Sandro, "I thought we were going to try to have dinner on Mondays?" arching his eyebrow while he waited for a response. "Sorry, papa, I got caught up with my study group... I should have called but I didn't realize how late it was." "Which is the same excuse you used last Monday... and the Monday before that. Maybe you could talk with your friends about rescheduling? Or, what you can really do it talk to the people at the shelters and let them know that you need to leave by six-thirty so you can live up to your obligations? If you can't try to act like a responsible adult, maybe one of adults there can try." Antonio then turned back to his computer, scrolling though some spreadsheet. As Sandro moved to the kitchen he said without looking up "I got you the rack of lamb and cream of mushroom soup from Veltrino's but it's probably cold now." Sandro knew that this was the end of the conversation. Warming the soup up on the stove, he ate the lamb that was just a few hairs away from being room temperature. As he gnawed on the bone to remove the last of the meat, the light in the dining room went out and he heard his dad walk up the stairs. Sandro sat at the table overlooking the backyard as he ate his soup and worked on his homework, muttering to himself as he continued reading his Coleridge. Finishing the required reading for tomorrows class, he drug himself to bed without noticing that today had, in fact, become tomorrow.
