  1. Well, that makes sense, I suppose. Wait, what's orichalchum?
  2. *sigh* Muay Thai, check. Savate, check. Pankration, check. Jujitsu, check. Karate, check. This could take a while.
  3. Why are you packing those things? Oh wait, stupid question... :!: I just got the sudden urge to write a fan fiction story of this adventure. Doubt it will come out even.
  4. I'll wait for Je'la too until I make a move too, then I'll roll initiative.
  5. Aristodemus sat at the bar in a restaurant, sipping a single drink throughout the whole time he was there. Things hadn't been going well for him. First thing after returning from Hades' realm, he helped stop a simple robbery. It went well, but then the others thought he was being stupid. Things weren't like that in Hades. There, you had to be dominant in order to avoid being eaten by the demons. Being stuck there for 40 years is really difficult. "Something the matter?" The bartender, a thin and bald guy in his fifties asks, noticing his face expression. "Nothing really important." Aristodemus responded to him, before hearing the TV tell the news. "In breaking news, a superpowered figure yet to be identified has assaulted a man in Midtown, before attacking police who attempted to apprehend her with what appear to powers including superhuman strength..." "I gotta go. Got work to do." Aristodemus put the money for the drink and went towards the door. "Hey!" The bartender called to him. "It's free for superheroes." "Keep it." Aristodemus said and went outside. Midtown. That's where I am right now. It shouldn't be far away from where I am. Then upon hearing and seeing people run for it, he headed that way. Maybe I should try there.
  6. Well, despite some drawbacks, we might be able to work together this time.
  7. Hmm, this does look interesting. I think the Spartan could give it a try at subduing this new arrival. Btw, Doc, Nyrath is okay. He's* just trying to get a job. *Again, polite way to address androgynous people
  8. I didn't dislike it. I just thought that you might want to ask first, so I'll let it slide this time.
  9. (A little tip; Don't make my character do free actions without asking me first) Having noticing the blade at his supportive leg, Aristodemus merely gives a chuckle, and gives Shinken a pat on the shoulder. "See you around, kid." He said in fluent Japanese, despite his accent. Then he turned to Arrowhawk. "I was only kidding really." Then he walks away and calls for a taxi to take him to Southside.
  10. "I'm Aristodemus the Spartan. I for one eschew weapons and armor in favor of skill, wisdom and experience to get things done. And if things does go pear-shaped for me, my immortality keeps me safe. That's who I am, and what I do, unlike what youngsters do these days, Shinken-kun." Aristodemus responded to Shinken's announcement, taking no pride in what he said, but had a smile on his face at the same time. "And I don't care if people know who I am or not. Oh, and do me wrong in a way..." He lifted his foot make a feint kick to the side of Shinken's face in an instant, and as quickly as it was there, he had taken it down. "...and you're just a punchbag in a tin can for me, okay?"
  11. Aristodemus looked at this ensemble of superheroes and when the other one along with Red Star and 'M' asked the question, he had an instant answer for that. "I think it was just sheer coincidence that we were all here at the same time. Or maybe fate, for those thinkers. I go for the former." Noticing some dust on his left arm, he brushed it off. "Now, might I ask who you are, or am I going to have to ask the public as usual?"
  12. "I'm the Spartan. I'm usually not one to go with monikers, but it seems to be some kind of unwritten rule. I don't really care if people know my real name. And for that matter, it's Aristodemus." Aristodemus took 'M's hand in return and shook it, and at the same time, looked up at her beautiful face, considering his own height.
  13. I just couldn't pass the opportunity really. That and I couldn't find any other chance to post, since I left the store.
  14. Aristodemus had been going in the same direction as the others had been pursuing the stretching woman, without knowing it. But as he was walking, he saw the crowd of people cheering on some other heroes. He then saw that red glowing kid he taught a move earlier in the music shop. "Excuse me, excuse me." He said as he passed through the crowd of people to see the red kid, a man in heavy armor and a stunningly beautiful woman having a chat. Upon nearing the group, he heard the woman call herself 'M'. He just couldn't pass the opportunity since he was behind her. "I assume 'M' stands short for something else, right?"
  15. Aristodemus was born even before America existed. I guess that counts.
  16. I am a little intrigued myself. I'm not in a lot of threads myself, but seeming that others has filled the position, I might not be so lucky.
  17. Nyrath's fine. He's been busy with finding a job, that's all. That and Nyrath's been kicking his* own ass to get back here. *a more respectable way to address androgynous people*
  18. My guy have had some run ins with Taurus, but we should avoid him. Oh yeah. I got to work on a suit too. But personally, Aristodemus doesn't care about whether or not people know who he is.
  19. Aristodemus gave a huff to that, then began to leave the store. "Well, then, excuse me. I got to go somewhere." He promptly left the store and began to head for Southside. I gotta go see a tailor or an armorer...
  20. I think I was a bit philosophical with that post. But really, that's what teamwork is about.
  21. Aristodemus had frozen for a while when hearing the proposal of joining a superhero. He had to think that one over. Joining a team had both upsides and downsides. The upsides were that you had comrades with you, friends that helped you no matter what. You could accomplish almost anything with them, and then share a good meal or amount of drinks afterward. But the downside was that you had to put your trust in them. If one would betray you, then the scar would be deeper than any gunshot you've received.* Aristodemus, though, had just one question for that offer: "Does that mean I have to start wearing some kind of suit or something?"
  22. In the bar above the picture when you get to building your hero, you can see the Portuguese flag and the American flag next to it in small circles.
  23. "Nah, I told you. I was just passing through here. Then this hullabaloo happened." Aristodemus leaned towards a rack of albums filled with Nightwish and pulled out his cell phone. He quickly pressed 911. "Hello? Yeah, we are in Hanover, and two ruffians tried to rob a music store. One is unconscious, the other is being pursued by other superheroes." He noted the size of the big fellow he knocked out. "And you might want to bring an armored truck. The unconscious one is big." Then he hung up after receiving a confirmation.
