  1. You ain't knocking me out that easily, but I call it quits here, for now.
  2. (Speaking of which) "Ow..." Aristodemus said after being knocked out for approximately five minutes*. What was it that knocked him out? It was big and shiny... then it struck him. Great, Knievel's got a guy with a battle suit on his side. I seriously need to get armored up too. Proceeding to take back his clothes, he noticed that Arrow was missing. Where did he go? Okay, his bike was still here, meaning he was still around somewhere. It didn't take long before he saw the archer in a garbage can with something unfinished lousily written on the side. He decided to take Arrow out of here, since who knows when those guys would come back. Shame, and I who wanted to help that girl... He thought as he carried an unconscious archer on his back whilst carrying the bow in his free hand.
  3. Aristodemus had a special desk near his bed. Every now and then, he would go sit by it and write down something philosophical there, and then go send it to the local newspaper to be published under the name of Bardas. They seemed pretty popular. Is it right or wrong to say that good always triumph? Some people think differently. I like to think so sometimes. Mostly, I have realized that I have the view that good is always the one that triumph over evil. To think something like that is dangerous. Evil needs to win sometimes, otherwise it wouldn't be the evil that people are afraid of. If good was to win every encounter then what would evil be? There is no good without evil. I have seen evil first hand. Thus armed with the knowledge of evil, I can be prepared how to fight it in my own way, for the good of this city.
  4. In the large cellar of a hotel, there were several rooms underneath, once used as a bombing shelter for the hotel staff. Sometimes it was still in use for the staff, but for now, it was used by someone else. He had managed to get it for living quarters in Freedom City, and remodeled it to fit his own terms. There was a bedroom, bathroom, a gym filled with several kinds of weights, for both arms and legs, along with a living room designed as a Japanese parlor. The living room was also decorated with weapons and armour from old times, going as back as Ancient Greece or Roman times. The entrance was stairs to the walls, in the corner of the lobby. A rather, short fellow came through the door and went down the stairs to light the whole apartment. He was clad in a brown coat with buttons and a white shirt with blue jeans. He began to strip down, revealing bandages underneath. His muscles were as if they were carved out of stone rather than born out of flesh. Another day, another bank robbery stopped... But it hurts, these bullets... He went to take a bath and it was straight to bed. He needed to rest after all.
  5. You know the reason why I'm not going to have you as an arch-enemy? Our encounter was too short. I saw you for a brief second and you knocked me out then. That's not enough for me to make you my arch-enemy.
  6. Why can't we have the same? Plus, he's a thrill seeker. Aristodemus hates thrill seekers. They're all the same. :monkey:
  7. I realized something a little while ago. I got this black and white view on things here in Freedom City. I feel this obligation that the good guys are the ones who win the fights. And as I see this fight go bad for me and Arrow, I get moody. I get the feeling that this will become more than just a scenario, not to mention a standing rivalry between the Spartan and Knievel. And I'm out.
  8. True, but that bow is my best shot against Malice. Since he seem to be focused on ranged attacks.
  9. In that case, I won't try to chat with you guys and just screw property damage. Hey, it just hit me. Since Arrowhawk is unconscious, is it possible for me to borrow his bow and arrows?
  10. Can we at least chat before we spring into action? Kinda makes it better, I think.
  11. Leaving me alone to fend off a thrill-seeker, a man in a battlesuit and a savage alien. I know I'm supposed to restrain my language, but oh, Shit.
  12. Aristodemus felt a bit wobbly after being thrown. Man, she was strong. After finally managing to stand up, he saw that Knievel was pummeling Arrowhawk, so he tried and punch Knievel. However, he was so dizzy in the head that he missed by a mile.
  13. Hey, I'm back. I admit that I have done bad things in the past, so I've been under punishment from onee-chan. I just didn't expect that someone would expose me like. For the record, the link didn't work when I tried the Notice check, the network must've been down, I don't know. So I came back to help finish this, but before that... *Punches Geez3r in the face* That was for ruining the trust I had in you guys. And I only made one attempt at rolling the die.
  14. Hold it! I still have 2 HP to use. I use up one to stop being stunned.
  15. I seriously need to look through the rule book. DC 20 Tough (1d20 6=14). Ouch.
  16. Questionable sanity? What kind of villains are there on this forum? I'm a bit lost right now. Is Maze capable of doing that, or am I doing the math wrong, since I don't know the full combat system.
  17. Oh yeah, Nyrath scolded me about it too. And the car just happened to be in the way. These things happen! My bad.
  18. If there was anything Aristodemus had both lived and died for, it was combat. This was his true home, on the fighting grounds, not some basement under a hotel. When the woman missed him, he took the chance to grab her arm and throw her into one of the standing cars.
  19. (I just couldn't resist) Aristodemus couldn't help but overhear what Knievel said, and his face went blank for a brief second. What? He's embarrassed about taking off his clothes in front of another guy? Times truly has changed...
  20. I don't have super strength as a power, and such clothes cost money. Not that Je'la would care in any case.
  21. Aristodemus felt winded against that blow. he had just stripped down to the undershirt when she had landed that attack. Fortunately, she hadn't sent him flying. But that would just have pissed him off. "My turn." He said in his Greek language and set a powerful fist right in her face. He then took off his undershirt, revealing dozens and dozens of faint scars, with sinews of steel embedded in those scars and also a pair of bronze bracers on his arms.
  22. Why does these things happen always when I go to sleep!? I manage, barely. Payback for that attack, Maze. I wasn't done undressing, you know!
  23. Aristodemus reacted just in time to slam his hand into the ground and revert back to his feet on the ground. She's good. Very good. Guess I have no choice then... Aristodemus stood upright and pointed towards the ground in front of him. "Come down and fight me fairly! Are you warrior or not!?" His eyes must be stating clearly to his opponent that he was making a personal challenge on fair terms. He proceeded also to take off the clothes on his upper body, starting with his coat.
  24. That would depend on the Reflex. Should I fail, then I must make a Toughness roll to see how much damaged I would be. If I make my Reflex though, then I don't take any damage.
