  1. DC 27 Toughness save (1d20+6=21) fails by 6 Bruised and Stunned Fiat vs Stun, we both get 1 HP 1) Muse - unharmed - 6HP 2) Dark - bruised 3) Sparksmith - unharmed - 2HP 4) Light - unharmed
  2. Elizabeth was shocked by the presence of emptiness. It was like something she had never heard before. When Kurt apologized, she smiled confusedly. How was she to break this to him. Then the root of the problem showed it's face. Or faces. And one had a sword. This couldn't happen more peacefully, could it? "Kurt," she said warmly, beginning to glow with a golden corona as she floated upwards a little bit, "You know that special thing we were talking about earlier. Yeah. I have a few tricks myself. Take this guy for instance." She looked to Dark as he approached them. She began to glow a golden hue too. But he did not float upwards.
  3. The anti-noise faded and the 'band' disappeared. Where the illusionary music makers were playing stood two individuals. One, a man in a full body black spandex full body suit and mask, and the other a woman in a long flowing white silk nightgown. For a moment they seemed oblivious to the two still standing. "Great," the man said rubbing his hands together, "This is much easier than pickpocketing." The woman glowered, "I just think we could be doing more, John." The man sighed. "Oh right," the woman rolled her eyes, "Dark." Dark lightly put his hands on the woman's and looked at her, "Come on, Light. We have to start somewhere. If we just popped in and robbed a bank, they'd notice and we'd get slammed so hard we wouldn't be able to touch our noses before we hit jail." Light's glum look slightly looked better with a small smile, "Yeah, I know. We gotta build up resources first." Dark nodded happily, "Right, now let's get to harvesting." Light looked shocked. Not because of the harvesting comment, but she saw the two that had escaped the noise. "Looks like we gotta deal with a couple of weeds before we get to the bumper crop," she said perking up and pointing Dark over to her find. "Indeed," he sneered and quickly drew his sword, "You always find a few bad apples in the bunch."
  4. The building began to burn out of control when everyone got outside. Explosions where heard on the inside as all of the glass reacted to the raging inferno. Off in the distance fire engines were heard as they were on their way. But before they got there, the being appeared atop the building looking down at his tormentors. It spoke in each of their minds. "[bg=#000000]Heroes. You have made powerful enemies. You cannot be together forever. One by one I will hunt each and everyone of you down. It may be weeks. It maybe months. It may be even years. I am patient. Very patient. You five can consider yourselves my new play things.[/bg]" A horribly evil but captivingly sensual laugh was the last thing they heard before the being disappeared.
  5. The blast of hellish fire did not harm Muse, but it did suck all the air out of her. She passed out when that happened. The next thing she knew she was outside, being woke up by Sparksmith. Everyone was out of the building, but the building was still on fire. Just like in her vision. She pulled herself up by Sparksmith's shoulder, staring in awe and a bit of sadness at the burning building. Something she saw in her dreams had came to life. Had she the gift of prophecy? What did this all mean? Where did all this power come from? She wanted to know the unknowable.
  6. Just in case it needs to be spelled out, Init has been broken in light of the instinctual run for safety.

October 16, 2010 Well, that was certainly an... interesting dream last night. Though the date wasn't bad. We went to a nice place called Maria's. It was very entertaining. It was like an interactive experience The waitresses and cooks all got into the 'at home' comedy act there. Let it not be said that I've never eaten 'soul food' as of now. As for the movies they were great as they were the first few hundred times I saw them. Man, sometimes you can't beat the classics. Then the lines started blurring a bit between dream and reality. We decided to take a walk in the cool midnight air and talk a bit before we drove home. Then the next thing I know I was in an 80s pop music video, then I was home in my bed. Strange indeed. I'm going to see Eddie as soon as I get out of bed. I've had weird premonitions before. Nothing like this though.

October 13, 2010 We've been talking for the past few days, me and Eddie. I think I've grown attached to him. It started out with 'Oh you're a DJ and a musician? That's awesome!' It's sorta grown into more than that. I can see myself being with him. These past two weeks have been sort of dreamlike. It's sorta hard to find someone who shares your interests these days. Well, the whole superhero thing, but you don't know the people you help on a personal basis. You have to have two separate lives it seems. I mean a few people know me as both Muse and Elizabeth, but those are most on the hero side of things. So, we talked about it for a little while and we've decided to go on our first real date. Friday seems to be the time when we seem to get together the most. There's a movie house showing Victor Halperin's zombie movies. Though there will dinner first. He said he'd surprise me.

October 10, 2010 This was not a date. This was SO NOT a date. Friday night was great. Eddie invited me to his DJ gig at Millenium. We had fun. I even got to DJ a little bit. I am in no way as good as him, but I kept the pace. Then he started buying me drinks. I found out with a quick glance at his driver's licence that he's 24. So, drinks lead to flirting, flirting lead to dancing, dancing lead to talking about where we should go next. Even though it was nothing too serious, I remember asking where he lived and if he had a place to stay for the night. That's right, I asked the man I knew for for a little over a week to take me home with him. I feel like such a... sigh. I slept on his couch. I really hope this doesn't look like I'm going too fast. The next day he cooked breakfast. It was very nice. We looked at his collection of records and other things. It was quite an experience. You don't go into someone's sanctum without taking a little bit of them with you. So far, Eddie's one of the nicest guys I've met.

October 7, 2010 Eddie, the DJ guy from the club on Friday night, called me again today. He called earlier in the week, but it was just small talk. Stuff that people talk about when they're testing the waters to see if you're not an axe murderer or anything. Heh. I always feel better when I talk to him. He's very so nice and energetic. He invited me to lunch. It was very schway. We got lunch at a small bistro,. It was very good. Hopefully we can go there again. We talked a little bit more about our personal life. I didn't tell him about what I did most of the time. Though I did tell him I was an artist of many talents. I hope that didn't put him off. Most people hear 'Doctor of Arts' and think I'm some highbrow stuffy old lady. So, I honeyed my words. I'll tell him later. He, however, is a musician. Which took us to our second place. It was a record store. His muscial knowledge is vast. He taught me so many little things I did not know. All in all it was a fun little outing. He invited me to his DJ gig tomorrow at Millenium. I accepted.

October 2, 2010 The new life has been... hectic, to say the least. Over the past few months I have been giving my all to the people of Freedom City. I do not regret it one bit. These have been the most rewarding few months of my life. That said, yeah, sometimes you have to take a break or you will breakdown. I know while I'm taking a break there will be things happening. They call this Samaritan Syndrome. Though, in this city, is that really a viable fear? Right. So, I took last night off. I went to a nice little joint called Millenium. It is one of the more upscale clubs. They have live DJs there and last night was no exception. Seriously, that guy knew his beats and rythm. I was there for hours listening to him. Apparently he noticed me too. After he was done for the night, we talked a bit about music and stuff. And stuff? What am I, a teenager? We exchanged numbers. Tradition goes that you're supposed to wait three days to use the number. We'll see if that happens... we'll see.

  13. You notice that the thing started glowing again right? You think to yourself, "hm, it's hot as hellfire and brimstone in here and it's probably going to let off another burst if someone attacks it again. Making it hotter. And almost unbreathable. Man, I should probably get the survivors and evacuate before we all enter this hellish situation."
  14. "Good," Wesley nodded with a smile. Caroline didn't look like the type that would do that stuff, but you never know. He'd had perfectly nice looking people talking about it in his shop before. It was where he found out most of his leads on that kind of thing. He'd chase the dealers all out by himself if he could, but like roaches, they find their way back. "Sorry for the grilling. There's certain things you gotta look out for, you know?" He let his arms rest behind him. "But yeah, it's been a problem around the darker places somewhat. I've had to take down a few recently. Not pretty at all in action."
  15. Wesley watched Robin's sadness with a heavy heart. He didn't know that she cared that he was gone. In his grief and madness he'd thought that she had moved on and forgotten about him. Apparently she had not. How could he say this without upsetting her more? He sighed and let the words flow from within. "Yes, I left because of grief. Inconsolable grief. I thought... that's just it, I wasn't thinking. Only of the love I had lost." He paused for a second to look away to clear his eyes and throat and then looked back to her. "I never meant to scare you with this. I never meant to hurt you. Please, forgive my lapse of sanity."
  16. Wesley looked to Rock as he looked to him back. It was a very mean staredown. Wesley was about to step forward to the crew but it looked like they would meet him half way. Wesley looked to them all. His voice was stern, but not nagging. It was almost paternal, "What you did here was unacceptable. There are better ways to do this. It's 2010, not 1985. Are you aware that this style of heroics is outdated and wrong on so many levels?" He sighed and rubbed his eyes, then crossed his hands across his chest, "Yes I can return them to life. As for the 'get away with a slap on the wrist' offer, I'm not sure of the procedure here." He would have talked more but he noticed a large piece of equipment coming towards them. He instinctively jumped out of the way. Razorwing's motion's were fluid. He hadn't heard much about him, but he liked him better than these guys.
  17. Rock nodded, but mentally rolled his eyes. He tried to sound like the message really hit home, "[bg=#FF0000]Right. No killing.[/bg]" When Razorwing zipped up the line the poor guy tried to run off but was quickly anchored to the ground. "Listen," he pleaded... I just wanna get out of here. You... you guys are crazy. Please don't hurt me I'll tell you everything! Just let me go!"
  18. Think about the size of a warehouse, the store front though is about the size of a small house. If you haven't figured out by the little thing in the beginning where the kid knocked the doll. this is a glass store. everything from porcelain dolls to good china plates and everything in between. Heck, the name of the store is Glass Emporium. There, anything else you need to know?
  19. Wesley sighed, "Yeah, those guys. They're everywhere it seems." He sat up and grimaced before looking to with a stern look, "You probably don't wanna get mixed up with them if you haven't already. They can mess up up real bad." He stood up and crossed his arms, "I happen to know where a few of those guys are set up. Well, they keep moving due to interference." He looked down to her with the same stern look, "Like I said, it's best not to get mixed up in that group."
  20. The being was not amused. It was it's nice little magical cocoon with Breshau, and now it was back in cold reality. It shivered a bit before it saw the perpetrator. She was right there before it ready for her painful reward. The being's creepy but haunting smile returned. The things it could do to her were unimaginable by mortal minds. It began to reach down for her, "[bg=#000000]Come here, mortal. I have so many[/bg]" It was cut short by Sparksmith's heroics! Damn him. It was about to retaliate when it felt the lovely pain again. It could almost feel nirvana. As much as it wanted to stay there, it had to come back to finish it's work. It carried most of the feeling with it. It felt very weak at the moment. "[bg=#000000]I like you,[/bg]" it said pointing to Sparksmith with a wicked wink, "[bg=#000000]I love each and every one of you mortals.[/bg]" It began to glow a sickly dark orange. There was also a hint of brimstone in the air, "[bg=#000000]I love you all so much, that I am going share with you this most exquisite pain I am feeling.[/bg]" It shrieked and the store was instantly ablaze. "[bg=#000000]Tell me, mortals. How does it feel?[/bg]" There was an unearthly... giggle that escape from it's throat. "[bg=#000000]Now, you can sit here and beat on me all night long - not that I would mind - or you can practice that little thing you call instinct before this building burns and collapses to the ground.[/bg]" It began to glow the same orange again as the flames rose, engulfing the store, "[bg=#000000]The choice is yours.[/bg]"
  21. Have 1 HP, she just dug up all in our heads for information without us noticing Also, Notice check. The better your notice, the more you'll... notice >.> Wesley: Notice check (1d20+10=30)
  22. All eyes were on the two intruders. The group had made handy work out of the defenseless people. Their job was done. Mind scanned the area again She sensed that the two were confused and angry at their actions. Hearing his deeds spoken in anger, he stepped forward to greet the two. He looked to Razorwing with a serious look, "[bg=#FF0000]Listen, I only did what I did because I had to. If those guys were still jumping around there would have been,[/bg]" he pointed to the mass of broken equipment, "[bg=#FF0000]all of this,[/bg]" he then pointed outside, "[bg=#FF0000]all out there.[/bg]" Mind subtly pinged Zap and and Change to the ready. She was a bit more amicable, greeting them with a smile and a curtsy, "[bg=#FFFF00]You must be Razorwing and Knight. I've heard so many about your heroic exploits. You see, we're the new heroes on the block. We just wanted to come in sweep up the bad guys and then leave without any trouble. We just made sure we did our job thoroughly.[/bg]" She winked to Razorwing, "[bg=#FFFF00]I though you would have been proud of us.[/bg]" Wit wiped his blade and sheathed his sword, "[bg=#000000]I really didn't think we'd go that hard into the fight. See, before we were just normal people. We just recently got our powers. I guess we don't know our own strength.[/bg]" Rock looked to Wit sternly, then back to the heroic duo with a shrug of feigned acceptance, "[bg=#FF0000]Yeah, I guess we didn't know our own strength.[/bg]" Mind looked to Knight, "[bg=#FFFF00]If I hear correctly, you can even fix these guys.[/bg]" Rock interrupted with a mumble, "[bg=#FF0000]Not that they need it.[/bg]" Mind looked to Rock with a sigh, then back to the duo, "[bg=#FFFF00]you can fix them, right?[/bg]" Wit nodded, "[bg=#000000]If you do, we can let this whole incident slide and hand these guys to the police proper. We can even show them this little lab here.[/bg]" Little did the group know that one of their victims... I mean one of the criminals made it away. He stealthily made it up the catwalk as the group was talking and made it to a thingamajig that looked like it could pick up barrels magnetically. With science. looking to avenge his fallen comrades, he swung the giant machine hanging from the ceiling at the group of people talking. Knight, Razorwing and Mind all noticed this before hand while the others didn't see it until it came at them. The wild swing was heading toward Razorwing!
  23. Knocking off the stun, everyone gets 1 HP. It's still staggered though. Everyone: Reflex 25 If pass: Toughness 22 If fail: Toughness 30 Muse: Reflex and Toughness (1d20+10=27, 1d20+12=32)
  24. Now explosions? Great. Wesley swooped towards the building only to find the vigilante Razorwing swinging in. "Right. Seems like his style. What's he up to," Wesley wondered aloud. He quickly made his way into the building right after Razorwing. He was about to ask him personally what was up but the scene answered any questions. It seemed Razorwing was just as confused as Wesley was. What seemed to look... and smell like a hidden drug factory was being torn apart by some FORCE Ops wannabes. He didn't see Rock's display of power, but Change's giant bird act and Wit's sword stylings registered as they cut down the others. He looked to Razorwing confused and angry, "Some of your crew?"
  25. Knowledge (streetwise) on Razorwing (1d20+5=12) for Wesley. Should have taken 10
