  1. Tell me if this is at all possible... I want to power stunt Spitfire's blast to create an Obscure Visual effect. I'd describe it as superheating the air with his breath to either create a blanket of steam or fog, whichever makes more sense, i'm thinking steam as it would amount to bursting the watermolecules in the air. If it's too much of a stretch let me know but this is what I was gonna try and go for as far as the actual power: Obscure 10 (Normal Vision) PF: Subtle... whatcha think?
  2. Spitfire Of all the downright rude things ta do when a man is talkin' to another man is to interrupt him with a bank robbery! These boys need a lesson in manners as well as style. Maxie's smile disappeared as he looked at the would be bank robbers. His frown deepened when he looked down to his bag, that happened to be holding his costume. Ya know, this happens entirely too often. I think from now on I'll do my bankin' in my get up! How was he going to slip away and don the costume with all these madmen around? Maxie looked around for some way to blend in with the crowd, or some broom closet that might offer him a private spot to change when and idea struck him. So insane, it might just actually work! My favorite kind of plan! Maxie smiled broadly as he formulated the plan.
  3. Spitfire Maxie took the man's hand, shaking it warmly. "Howdy Marceau, the name's Maxie Napalm, but you kin jus' call me Max. I run a tattoo parlor here in town by the name of Fire-Eater Ink. You should stop on by, I do all the tatts myself. Got a girl that handles the piercings, if that's what yer into. Here's my card." Maxie produced a card from the dufflebag sitting next to him and handed it to Marceau, his pearly white fangs showing from his bright smile. Maxie found the man amusing, his apparent naivety in regards to technology coupled with his unassuming personality melded to give him an endearing quality that Max couldn't quite put his finger on. "You just come from work Marceau? Cuz if that's yer normal mode o' dress, ole Maxie is gunna have ta take you out shoppin'!'
  4. Sense Motive for Max: 13 So close! I blame it on youth and his all too trusting nature!
  5. Spitfire Maxie perceived the man looking over his shoulder as a slight burning sensation behind is ear. Glancing slightly over his shoulder after a particularly impressive one shot clear with a boomerang bird, Maxie smiled. "Amazing ain't it? What people do with the wonders of technology. Over yonder behind the magic curtain that is the security system of this bank, fractal equations are being used to safeguard yer money, while right here, I'm using a truly impressive amount of processor power to fling goofy lookin' birds at pigs hiding behind precariously placed planks of wood. Yessir, it's an amazin' world we live in," Maxie said, turning to face the man in coveralls. Max held out the phone and smirked, "Wanna give it a shot?"
  6. Spitfire ...For Services Rendered Leviathan Something Fishy Part 2
  7. Leviathan Veijlial watched the unfolding scene before him with detached bemusement. Being far too tired to really contribute to the proceedings, Veijlial instead decided to focus on putting together the pieces of the puzzle laid out before him. Why set up the ambassador for the murder, if indeed that is what happened? Who would stand to gain from it? If the killer had simply relied on the stolen murder weapon to finger the ambassador the evidence would be circumstancial at best, but actually donning the lady's visage lended credence to the accusation, and also spoke to the evidence of supernatural forces at work, whether they be magical, mutation, or otherwise. In essence, when Leviathan performed the ritual to see into the past and witness the murder he had aided the murderer, or murderers by providing himself as eye witness. Whether or not this was planned however, remained a mystery, and if it was, it did not bode well for Leviathan and his compatriots, as such a clever villain might be beyond their capacity to apprehend.
  8. Spitfire Max walked into the bank with more than just a hint of trepidation. He'd never had need of a bank account before, living with the circus, and had an ingrained distrust of all things "the man." However, seeing as his tattoo business was finally seeing regular business, he decided it might be a good idea to shop around and see where he might store his company's holdings, as wall safes weren't really that reliable in a town with superhumans who could punch holes in steel. Max looked around the soulless building with it's bank tellers (or fleshy greeting and monetary deposit machines) and smirked. Wonder what ole Bertram would thinka me now, frequentin' a joint like this. Max spied the shortest line and took up residence in the back and decided to pass the time playing angry birds on his cell.
  9. Initiative check is: 16 not too shabby but the notice check is 10 so not seein much of anything

    new menace!

Probably too late to join in on this one but Spitfire needs some threads so I'll throw him into the pot in case ya need him.
  12. Leviathan Veijlial sighed at the mention of his heritage and bowed his head. "I assure you, madam, that I share very little with others of my ancestry in regards to temprament and design. The crude and foul machinations of my brethren are one of many things I do not share with my race as a whole. I was raised by the sea and her creatures, not some evil cult bent on bringing about destruction and chaos." Veijlial turned to look at his compatriots and frowned in thought for a few moments. "As for my fellow liberators, I can not speak to their proclivity or lack thereof in matters heroic as we are new acquaintances at best, however for my part I endeavored to join this investigation in the hopes that this crime was perpetrated by the same group that murdered my mentor. So far, I have found no evidence of their involvement. However, your involvement seems almost a forgone conclusion at this point unless you can offer us an explanation why the killer of this Diocles Ahdhar would be wearing your visage and how the Atlantean brutes ended up with the same knowledge?" Veijlial attempted to soften his features and voice to instill calm in the Atlantean and the ambassador, he did not like to make a habit of playing on the perceptions people had of his people, no matter how much easier it would make gathering information.
  13. Okay, I would like to spend 3 of Leviathan's power points to take the ablative flaw off of his Force Field so it should read: Force Field 6 [6pp] and that is all! Thanks! And all is done by Supercape!
  14. Leviathan Something Fishy Part II Spitfire
  15. Leviathan Watching the monstrous atlantean fall brought a shaky smile to Veijlial's face, but the facade soon cracked as he went down to one knee, breathing heavily. Veijlial wasn't aware how drained that last blast had made him until the adrenaline of the moment subsided. Regaining his feet, Leviathan steadied himself by leaning against the wall for support whilst his companions questioned the two cowering behind the couch. "Perhaps now that the immediate danger has subsided you can cease hiding like children and explain just what in the depths is going on here? I wouldn't like to think we just assaulted Atlantean royalty to defend a murderer." Veijlial eyed the Atlantean and the woman with dark, smoldering scrutiny, waiting for their alibis.

  17. Leviathan Seeing the effect his compatriots attacks were having on the Atlantean, Leviathan saw his chance to lay on some hurt himself. Pouring his anger and pain at the prejudices of this monster into the spell, Leviathan shouted, his voice filled with arcane might and a blast of shadow erupted from his hands to explode at point blank range against the warlord's chest. The effort of the attack hit Leviathan almost instantly, bowing his shoulders and causing him to breath heavy in weariness.
  18. Alright, seeing his opening Leviathan's gonna use his blast on the guy and extra effort the damage to make it a Blast 11 20 to hit Not bad at all so that's a dc 26 toughness save for the warlord
  19. Leviathan The mighty blow from the warlord sent Leviathan reeling, his shadow shield cracking under the strain and stars erupted from behind his eyes. For a few moments, it took all of Leviathan's strength simply to remain standing. Shaking the cobwebs and stars from his mind, Veijlial tried to focus on the brute in front of him as he wobbled on shaky knees. Note to self, do not laugh in the face of petty ignorant warlords that hit like freight trains.
  20. Okies Leviathan's toughness save is: 20 fails by 7 which makes him bruised and dazed i think, ouchies
  21. Leviathan Monster Leviathan was all to familiar with the pejorative. Bigotry, threats of violence, and narrow-mindedness were things Veijlial dealt with on a daily basis. In essence: been there, done that. Even coming from one of Brutus size and strength, Veijlial's skin was tough in more ways than one and the effects were somewhat less than what Lord Brutus expected. Leviathan laughed. "I have witnessed the cruelty of the sea incarnate, my lord. I have ridden tsunamis and drank down typhoons to tap their power. And what, you're small minded comments are supposed to leave me quaking in my admittedly scaly skin? You shall have to do better than that to harm me, or deter me." As evidenced to his tenacity, Leviathan yet again muttered the words of entrapment, sending out the long tentacles to ensnare his foe.
  22. Okay, here's Leviathan's save vs intimidate 23 how bout that, rolled well for once! Let's see if I can continue to frustrate the lumbering brute, with yet another snare! 18 ahah! I believe that hits!
  23. Leviathan Feeling through the impact with Revenant the strength of the Atlantean Warlord, and seeing the way his fellow heroes' attacks bounced off the raging noble, Veijlial thought it best to continue a less... direct approach to solving the problem. Muttering the words, Leviathan again brought shadowy tentacles to bear against the warlord, this time achieving his goal as the tentacles lashed out from beneath the Atlantean, wrapping themselves around his legs. Knowing this would only be a temporary reprieve, and would soon serve only to irk the already angry sea dweller, Leviathan backpedaled away from him, into the nearest darkened corner. Hopefully his compatriots would have a better chance at subduing the brute now that he was significantly impeded movement wise.
  24. sure, I'll move into the nearest shadowy area, just in case I need to quickly teleport to safety, hehe
  25. Alright then gonna try this snare attack thing again, seeing as how ineffective his compadres attacks have been on the brute 10 not good enough, gonna hp re-roll 14, with the +10 for re-roll that's a 24, that should do it! so it's a DC 19 reflex save for Brutus
