  1. Alright made the changes. I didn't notice anything wrong with the skill ranks though.
  2. Sen sat in a meditative pose on his floor. The room was dimly lit by a soft overhead light and sparsely furnished. He was accustomed to this posture, so his legs didn't cramp. What he was not accustomed to was mediation. Akai had insisted however, that this would help him gain control of his life from his demonic side. In truth it was helping. In the beginning he had felt little more than massive agitation and impatience, but these last few hours were easier. He breathed in. Then the building moved. The floor shook as if a giant had smashed the building on the side, and Sen fell over. He Quickly scrambled to his feet wondering if it were an earthquake. But he new immediately that it wasn't as the building stopped moving. Then the light overhead went out. Sen glanced out the window, where there was still some daylight. As he stuck his head out to look a curtain of dirt, and debris swept by. It was shock wave. That meant an explosion. Truly Freedom City was not a place for the old. Quickly dressing himself Sen went to his closet. Inside was the Muramasa. The sheath was Ebony carved with runes, a masterwork blade. Sen could feel the sword's malevolence but, reluctantly, he picked it up. He had gone out little during the day. Most supernatural menaces came with the darkness, but now he decided he would go see what happened. At the very least maybe he could help move some people. Tucking the sword into his belt Sen leapt from his window and raced down the street heading towards the thick column of smoke.
  3. I wasn'tplanning on getting in this thread, but one of my characters Sen lives in Riverside now. I imagie the temple he lives in is intact, but I doubt he missed the explosion.
  4. Ok thank you for your response. I have edited again using the Exemplar power from Worlds of Freedom. A little pricey but it gives me the flexibility I want without being strange (I hope).
  5. THe reviews seem good to me. I hated all the humans in the first film and boring human angle. I'm glad they corrected this with more robot fisticuffs.

    Sen

Sen has recently returned from another Dimension and brought his father back with him. He has discovered during his adventure that due to the Muramasa's influence on him before he was born he developed demonic abilities. The Sword hoped to use him one day to weild it, and be free. His father is out of commission for the forseeable futre and is returning to Japan. He asks Sen to stay in Freedom City. Now that his demonic nature has revealed itself, it is best he stay here until he learn to control it. Sen is currently staying in a Buddhist Temple in Riverside, with his cousin Muromoto Akai.
  7. I don't see what harm this could cause. I mean really what is the worse that could happen if two chars are in one thread?
  8. Ok. This is the new version. I built him on 150pps just in case I lost my earned ones. "----------Character Details--------- Player Name: Warmonger Character Name: Adam Wallace Character Alias: Ronin GM's Name: Age: 34 Height: 6'2"" Weight: 230 Hair: ??? Eyes: ??? Power Level: 10 Power Points: 158 Unspent PPs: 2 Appearance: -------------------------------------- ----------Background--------- The son of a Marine Corps Staff Sgt it seemed only natural that Adam would one day enlist himself. Adam enlisted in the army at the age of 17 as soon as he graduated from high school. Adam who already possessed phenomenal physical and mental toughness was a natural fit for military life. Adam quickly became a Ranger, then he joined Delta force. Soon after he would join an elite U.N strike force called Raptor. When he arrived in Ireland to meet his new comrades, he became acquainted with the charismatic Colonel Morrison. The men were put through rigorous tests with many failing out. At the end only half the applicants remained. The men were then told that the next phase would transform them from ordinary soldiers to a new generation of warriors. The men were injected with various mutagenic serums and bombarded with different wavelengths of radiation. They would undergo severe psychological reconditioning, and their trianing would be at the hands of the best instructors in the world. The final phase however, had a high mortality rate and of the 100 that applied only 30 survived. These survivors would form the backbone of Raptor. The new team was a great success executing various black-ops mission against powerful groups like Shadow. However it became clear as time progressed that the experiments had several unforeseen mental side effects, often generating paranoia schizophrenia and hyper aggression among the candidates. Worse it seemed that Colonel Morrison the group’s leader was the most mentally unstable. When the U.N finally decided to pull the plug the discovered that Morrison had been preparing to break form them anyway. Unison agents stormed the Raptor training compound but were bitterly resisted. Raptor fought off the Unison soldiers but had to flee before reinforcements could arrive. The now master less Raptors were now under the control of Colonel Morrison. Adam was only too happy to get out from underneath the government’s thumb. Believing in Morrison’s vision of a world where soldiers fought for themselves instead of being the tools of a corrupt government, Adam followed the mercenary company to battlefield after battlefield, selling their services and dodging Unison. Things would change, as one of their missions took them back to the United States. Adam discovered that their mission was destruction of a dam, something that would result in untold civilian deaths. Adam argued with Morrison, but when his commander would not relent Adam fought him and the other Titans. In the fight Adam was able to stop the bombs but the last one exploded blowing him into the torrent of water. He washed up a few hours later in a river several miles from where he had been. Afterwards Adam decided that his mistake had been to work for anyone besides himself. He decided he would start again in Freedom City somewhere where no one would know him. He would continue to do what he did best and if he ran across the Raptors again he would finish what he started. Personality: Ronin is somewhat strange for a hired killer. He rarely seems to take his work seriously, though he engages in acts of destruction with relish. He is reckless with his own life and is fond of taking unnecessary risks. He has his own strange code that dictates what job he will take. Though he has never been known to quit on an employer. He has made few freinds and numerous enemies in his time in Freedom City, particularly among the Vigilantes of the night, who he has crossed paths with on many occasions. -------------------------------------- Ability Scores 32pp Strength: 18 (+4) Dexterity: 18 (+4) Constitution: 18 (+4) Intelligence: 10 (0) Wisdom: 18 (+4) Charisma: 10 (0) Saves 6pp Toughness: +6 (+4 Con, +2 Body Armor) Fortitude: +4 (Con, +4) Reflex: +10 (+6 Dex, +4) Willpower: +4 (Wis, +4) Combat 20pp Attack Bonus: +5, +5 melee, Grapple: +12 Defense Bonus: +5 (+3 flat footed) Knockback: -4, -2 without Armor Initiative: +12 Lifting Capacity Light Load: 100 lbs Medium Load: 200 lbs Heavy Load: 300 lbs Max Load: 600 lbs Push/Drag: 1500 lbs Movement Rate Base Speed: 30 ft/r / 60 ft/r / 120 ft/r Leap: 15 ft / 5 ft / 5 ft Skills 92r=23pp Acrobatics 4 (+8) Disable Device 8 (+8) Drive 4 (+8) Gather Info 8 (+8) Intimidate 8 (+8) Knowledge -Streetwise 8 (+8) -Tactics 8 (+8) Notice 11 (+15) Pilot 4 (+8) Profession 8 (+12) Search (+0) Sense Motive 4 (+8) Stealth 4 (+8) Survival 8 (+12) Swim (+4) LANGUAGES English, Russian, Japanese, Arabic, German, Swahili Feats 20pp Ambidexterity: Eliminate Off-hand penalties Assessment: Know a subject's relative offensive and defensive ability Contacts: Make a Gather Information check in one minute Eidetic Memory: Perfect recall of everything you've experienced Diehard: Automatically stabilize when dying Equipment 10: 50 points worth of equipment Finishing Blow: Perform a coup de grace as a standard action Improved Initiative 2: +8 bonus on initiative checks Power Attack: Reduce attack bonus to increase damage bonus Quick Draw 1: Draw & ready a weapon as a free action Powers 49pp Alternate Form 6 (5 Alterante Forms) [36pp] Regeneration 8 (Bruised 2/standard action, Unconscious 1/one round, Injured 1/20 minutes, Staggered 1/20 minutes, Disabled 1/5 hours, Ability 1/5 hours, Resurrection 1/1 week; Power Feat: Regrowth) [8pp] Super Senses 5: (Super Senses: Scent[tracking],Detect Weakness: Acute, Visual, Uncanny Dodge [audio]) [5pp] DC Block Unarmed -- 19/Toughness -- Damage Assault Rifle/Blast -- 20/Toughness -- Damage Sword -- 21/Toughness -- Damage, ----------Complications--------- Enemy Description: -------------------------------------- ----------Cost Summary--------- Abilities: 32 Combat: 23 Saves: 6 Skills: 23 (92r) Feats: 20 Powers: 49 Total Cost: 150
  9. I'm BAAAAAAAACK.   So I'm making a formal request to have Sen reactivated and to have Ronin placed in the Pending Approval forum. While I update his powers.
  10. Gonna go with second option then. The fact that there are currently no approved Variable powers higher than 5pp gives me a hint, that it might not work out.
  11. Here is an idea Avenger pitched to me I'm not sure what all the implications are though. Variable Power 1 (physical and mental polymath; 5 points, skills and feats, multiple at once; Continuous, Free Action to Change Allocation; Innate) Another idea is Alternate Form. Except it jsut has differnt pacakges of skills and feats as APs. Such as "Ninja", "Sharpshooter", "Swordsman", etc?
  12. I'm planning to make a new villain reusing the same character name: Ronin. Much of his fluff stays the same but I am planning to change his power structure and I wanted to see if these ideas would work. I wanted to mimic Taskmaster's power but I don't like the reflex memory power. My problem with it is that Taskmaster's has all the skills he has ever learned memorized so he can switch fighting styles at will. With reflex memory I have to see them done first, and I forget them from adventure to adventure. What I wanted was a pool of points that I could use to give myself whatever non power-related physical feats, and physical skills I wanted, when I wanted. So in light of that I looked at a few options. Power Reserve 10 (Flaw: Physical Feats, and Physical Skills only) Shapeshift 4(Flaw: Limited to Physical Feats, and Physical Skills only) So which one is legal, and if they both are which one is a better option? Also I should save some space and ask another question at the same time. I wanted to mimic having an armory of weapons that this guy is walking around with. The Fluff is that he just has this harness loaded with weapons and he just pulls out what he needs but the crunch is Device 5 (Weapon Summoning 10) Some questions are should I limit the DC of the damage since I am simulating weapons that aren't as powerful as PC ones, so say like no higher than PL8 weapons. Another thing I wanted to know was how would I simulate some thing like, smoke grenade or C-4, something with an ongoing effect? Would I take the independent feat. Should I buy another Device with the same power so I can do that? Can buy another device with the same power? Should I buy three devices and limit them to a certain weapon, like one device just for melee, ranged, thrown etc. Maybe even limit the number of times I can summon cause maybe it would seem ridiculous to say that he is just that loaded. Yeah so any input would be appreciated.
  13. Sen locked eyes with the woman, again he could feel himself being entranced by her beauty, but his iron self control reasserted itself. He made no threatening moves but did not to appear harmless either. "It is true that we have no coin," he began. "and yes we will ask a question of you. We seek the one called Edward eldricth we belive that you spoke to him recently." Sen said brazenly. Then he paused. "As for the matter of payment. We are capable men, for this favor we will exchange our services."
  14. Ronin sauntered in from one of the shadows. “Sorry I’m late folks there was jackknifed Death Robot on the overpass.†He looked around at the assembled group of flunkies. What a bunch of freaks. Was that a demon? In truth he had balled up the Oder invitation and tossed it in the trash two seconds after reading it. Working for cultists never turned out well. They always wanted some dead guy’s bones, or something stupid like that. And they had a tendency to stiff you when the job was done, usually by trying to sacrifice you to unspeakable evil from the other side. But the last job didn’t go so well. He was supposed to steal a few files off a computer, but then idiot rent a cop trips the alarm, next thing he knew he had to burn the place to the ground. Turns out the guy who hired him, had owned the building and data already. He was just trying to test his security. Needless to say pay was shortened. “Yeah I’ll keep my mouth shut. Standard contract rules.†He felt almost a little insulted. Almost. “So,†Ronin clapped his hands together. “What was all that about riches?â€Â
  15. Sen stopped but hardly didn't put his hands up. He judged that he could defend himself from mere arrows and kill the two guradians. Which only soured hsi mouth at the violnce that had flashed through his mind. He kept a straight face but called out at the distnace he had stopped. "I mean you no harm but I would ask a question of you."
  16. done and done. http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1771334/
  17. Sen hears the commotion downstairs and shakes his head. Looters. He didn't understand what could compel people to steal from the dead. He had more importnat concerns at the moment never the less. Let Dashel deal with that. He listened for a few seconds to see if anythign developed then went back to his investigation.
  18. Yes I honeslty couldn't find a free hour to post or evne log on this week but I'll catchup.
  19. Sen took some time to steady his breathing then moved towards the group at a regular trot. He kept his sword out of view but kept his hand near the hilt. Perhaps these Elves would prove themselves troublesome after all. As he got within shouting distance he called out. "Wait!"
