  1. I love a good Southern accent meself; I've got a mild version of the flat, nasal Chicagoan's accent, though occasionally a bit of my family's Western Pennsylvanian creeps in, which is funny since I was born and raised in Illinois :D

I saw an interview with Yvonne Strahovski fron Sydney (star of TV's Chuck), and her accent is very cool; she pronounces 'no' as 'no-er.'

  2. Not quite sure Grim can do all I had her do in terms of movement; she bascially stepped forward and dropped down to M19, moved along the M axis (as it were) and ends up at M14. Let me know if she needs to make a Tougnness save to avoid injury despite reducing the drop off the roof a bit.

  4. Grim drops to the sidewalk, then makes her way down the street, hugging the walls invisibly as she goes, getting closer to the threatened garage employee. She keeps her eyes peeled for any sudden moves as she tries to figure out what's different about the odd-smelling skinheads.

  6. Unfortunately for the kissing couple, fireworks and explosions weren't only going on in the men's bathroom. You didn't need super senses to hear the ruckus that suddenly erupted back in the restaurant. There was a loud crash and then shouting - both agressive and frightened.

Lynn jumps at the noise, abruptly shrinks several inches, and fervently clings to Ren. "Oh crap, they found us!" Then she frowns. "Wait, what am I talking about? Just a second."

She gently disengages from Ren and darts towards the door, activating her camouflage just before she takes a peek out into the restaurant.

  8. Mr. Silberman's eyes are a little misty as Lynn takes his hands in hers.

"You speak to me of memories that lie in my future. What are you doing back here? What do you need to do?" he asks. It seems like the comment about Lainey has escaped his memory in the face of what followed it. He blinks to clear any tears that threaten to fall and looks over Lynn's face, trying to see his granddaughter in it.

Despite herself, Lynn laughs but quickly covers her mouth. "I'm sorry, I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing at me; here I am going all drama queen, and I haven't told you the most important part!" She smiles and rolls her eyes at her own histrionics before she contiunes.

"Me and Ren, the Japanese kid I came in with? We got sucked back in time due to some kind of, I dunno, super-technology mix-up, and as happy I am to see you, we need to get back to our time, to your future; maybe the Amazing Al-Kazar knew something or somebody that can help us get back." She shrugs emphatically. "It's a long shot, I know, but you're the only person I know back here."

She smiles and rests a hand against his face. "It's so good to see you again." Then she stops and looks nervous.

Well, that's one way of letting him know he's dead in the future - idiot!

  10. This afternoon I watched the Disney cartoon Tarzan with a three year old. We loved it, though *one* of us (I won't say which one) was a little scared when the tiger attacked. :o

The music is so great. I give it an A. I would have given it an A+, but I thought the voice of Terk (Tarzan's gorilla cousin) was pretty annoying.

Minnie Driver has the greatest voice . . . ever!

I liked this movie a lot, especially Minnie's voice (didn't like Rosie/Terk), but I will never forgive Phil Collins for winning the Oscar for Best Song that year; he was up against 'Blame Canada' from the South Park movie, 'Save Me' by Aimee Mann from Magnolia, and 'When She Loved Me' by Randy Newman from Toy Story 2 and he frickin' won! Any of the others, I would have been delighted, but ol' Phil got the win; this will literally bug me until the day I die

(hmm, I guess it was also up against 'Music of My Heart' by Diane Warren, but I don't remember it.)

  12. Just making the rounds again. Are you coming back to this or can we archive the OOC thread?

That's a good question; I think I want to keep this around, especially since things are heating up with the Grim/Nano relationship. If I'm gonna ditch it, I'll let you know ;)

  14. Red Queen appears directly in front of the gate and takes a deep breath of the oceanic breeze. "'Tis a fine place ye have here, lads; I don't have an invite on me person, but I think ye'll find I'm expected all the same."

  16. Actually, there's two GMs already on it. Heridfel is converting them into 2nd ed, and Cos is going to be running them. Like I said, fantastically awesome. :D

Does this site rule or what? Awesome news, and thanks Herid and Cos!
