  1. Which brings up apoint that needs to be addressed. Could you list the Toughness, DEF, and basic Att bonuses along with saves before any changes were made? It would save time and I' can simply add the informaiton to the initiative list so that we all know what numbers we're using.

    Thanks!

Here are Grim's prime starts prior to her February pp spending; the only difference here is the lower Toughness:

    Stats:

    Str: 10 (+0)

    Dex: 20 (+5)

    Con: 14 (+2)

    Int: 12 (+1)

    Wis: 10 (+0)

    Cha: 16 (+3)

    Attack: +5 (Claws +7)

    Defense: +5

    Initiative: +5

    Saves:

    Toughness: +6

    Fortitude: +5

    Reflex: +7

    Will: +4

  3. "What does that mean?" Mr. Silberman asks.

Lynn shakes her head slowly as she continues to study herself in the mirror. "Beats the heck out of me; aren't mirrors supposed to be like doors, y'know like in Alice in Wonderland? Maybe we have to do or say the right words before we touch it, or some other knick-knack in one of these trunks is the key or something."

Suddenly a thought occurs to her, and Lynn yells over her shoulder. "Hey Ren, come on back here; maybe we have to touch it together." While she waits for her would-be boyfriend to occur, something else springs to mind, and she gestures excitedly. "Oh, oh, Grampa Lou! Maybe we have to do the trick! Do you remember how it goes?"

  5. It's too late for this round. You'd need to apply the extra effort before you make your attack. It's a free action, but it still can't be done in the middle of another action. You can try it on your next turn if you want.

Dagnabit! I'm such an old school D&D player that I never remember to use EE or hero points. Oh well, there's always next round :D

  7. Shamefully, the females i make on MMORPG's :(

If you don't have a crush on your opposite sex characters (or same sex, if you swing that way), you're doing something wrong, I say ;)

  9. I have a few crushes that will hopefully never see the light of day. One that I normally keep to myself but that I don't mind sharing here:

    The entire cast of Bones.

    :D

Yes, I love this show, and the whole cast; the Christmas quarantine episode is a classic, as is the one with Adam Baldwin and the pudding :D

  11. Jawbreaker bears the brunt with a bruise! I forgot to -1 from the last bruise, but the result is still the same. Post away, heritage :)

Is it too late to apply Extra Effort to Grim's Strike? I'm thinking that might be the only way to make a serious dent in her crunchy candy coating.

  13. The hard shelled villain is caught by surprise by the attack. The electrical energy hits her hard, slamming against her shell. When the blast is over, she's left with a blackened stomach, and an angry face, "You're gonna regret that, sparky..."

'Pseudo' shakes his head in dismay. "Not as much as you will regret attacking this establishment." Grim then drives her red alien claws as hard as she can into the brute's charred belly.

God, I sound like such a dork.

  15. Faye nods her approval at Collateral's plan. "I like it; simple, straightforward but with a lot of wiggle room for dealing with surprises." She smiles and nods at Dryad's comment. "Coppers just hate smashing their cars into trees, or so I'm told."

  17. When asked to identify herself, Faye only shrugs vaguely. "I meself am no one, just a concerned citizen with but a small spark of power to call me own." She scuffs at the spot where the demon vanished with the toe of her Burberry boot. "Nasty bugger, yeah? Hope he doesn't have any friends out and about."

  19. The broad woman with the colourful outer shell is caught totally unawares by the attack. The invisible claws slice into her hard exterior, leaving a mark, but the woman still stands. More than that, she doesn't even seem to notice that she's been hurt at all! She looks around the bathroom, taking it all in. Her eyes come to rest on the mens cubicles - the only place anyone could conceivably hide, "Come out, come out where ever you are." With an added, but mumbled, "If there's someone even in here..."

God, she didn't even feel that! Once again, operating outside of my weight class.

Lynn decides to change tactics, but her mind is racing with increasingly desperate and bizarre plans, none of which seem to be any good; she finally settles on one that might be crap, but at least would be unexpected. As quietly as she can, Lynn crawls under the partition and into the stall next to Ren's, stands up, drops her camouflage and shifts into the form of Pseudo of the Liberty League! She then steps back out into restroom and does her best to invoke his alien speech patterns while glowering in a most menacing fashion.

"I was told the food here would appeal to my alien palate, but now the evening has gone sour."

  21. Hieronymus King and the African were mentioned earlier. The African could be managing the drug-running under King's auspices. Of course, there's plenty of paperwork to conceal King's involvement. ;) The crook being strong-armed would only know that the African is running the show.

There's also Ms. Linn from THE RAID. She could be working for King, and has the African working for her. The crook in question will also know Ms. Linn, but he won't have a great deal of information.

Actually, I'm not sure what drugs are being shipped here. Is it the tainted Zoom from the THE RAID? If it is, this could be the last major shipment, effectively stopping its movement and closing the chapter on it.

Oh, I just thought of something! The ninjas that attacked Nightrival could have been sent by King.

    Any thoughts, Heritage?

To be honest, I'm still fairly new at playing in FC, but anything that can link into something created here on the website seems like a good idea, so a link between the African, Ms Linn and King sounds cool. We could always tie it into NR's enemies in the Mob, but the old 'there's a new player in town' thing is usually more fun :D

  23. "Well, unless you two are Nosferatu, you should show up there," he says. "Does that come as a surprise to you?"

Lynn strokes her chin thoughtfully as she approaches the mirror and peers at the frame; she can't bring herself to touch the glass just yet.

"I don't know much about magic, but I'm wondering if it's not showing me and Ren because we don't belong here, in this time; it's like-" She stops suddenly as her voice catches in her throat, because Louis Silberman has just carefully set aside Al-Kazar's golden turban, which she used to put on when her Grandpa wasn't looking. She used to pretend she was Princess Jasmine from Aladdin, in disguise and on the run from the evil vizier.

"Um...so yeah. Okay." Her eyes stay on the turban as she nods to herself. "Ok, I'm just going to touch the glass with my little finger, and we'll see what happens." She steps forward and does as she says, cringing with her face turned away from the mirror.
