  6. Alan watched as Mercy readied herself for the trial. A small part of him wandered if she would manage to pass this stage of the test. So far she had shown great ability to he had no fear that she would perform greatly.
  7. Dr. Brown nodded her head. "Yes, it is." She watches as the workers begin to clean up the area. After a while, Dr. Brown looks at her subject and smiles. "I noticed earlier that you use a very interesting device to help you in the construction of the armor. I think we would like to test the capabilities of your screwdriver, Doctor, see exactly what it can produce." Dr. Brown leads him to another room. "There are four tasks that needs to be overcomed. Use your screwdriver to solve teh problems. The first part is energy based, the second is physical, while the third is mental. The last part, I'll keep a secret until you get to it. Good Luck."

Use power rank to beat the DCs. Part 1 -- Energy based task DC 15 Part 2 -- Physical based task DC 15 Part 3 -- Mental based task DC 17 Part 4 -- Free Choice DC 20

  10. I think this is enough for this thread. I'll let you put in one more post before it gets locked up though. First off, thanks for coming back to the htread. I know I wasn't the best with keeping it up, but I bit off more than I could chew. Also, sorry for the quick and pretty anti-climatic ending. :oops: Hopefully, this is enough background to comeback later. I'll let you know.

    Wilson seemed to understand the young hero's indecision and he quickly took control of the situation. "Why don'T you take that other fella to the hospital. I'll call the cops and see about getting them locked up. I still don't know what got them so riled up to begin with. I'll have to keep an eye on their activity in the future." Wilson moved over towards the leader but turned to look at Red Star. "Thanks again, Red Star. It's heroes like you that make this city safe. If I ever find out the reason why they started this mess, I'll contact you." It doesn't take Red Star long to to get the wounded man to the hospital. He was asked a few questions at teh hospital and gave the best answers that he could. All in all, it was another good night.

    With the thugs all down and his bonds broken, Wilson stands up. Though the man is obviously showing his age, he still seems in fine shape. The beating he took from the thugs hadn't broken him. "They jumped me while I was closing up the center for the night. They slapped me around for a while but I think you got here before they could do anything worse. If I was a few years young, they would never have gotten the drop on me." Wilson looked around at the unconcious thugs while he rubbed his wrists. "Not bad. Effecient and very effective. You're Red Star, aren't you? I've seen you in the papers and Tv. Glad you came around when you did."

    Ghost takes a moment to look at teh demon in its true form, the talons sending a slight shiver through his body. "No, I plan on going right to them. I would get there pretty fast too if the place wasn't warded against me. Just give me a moment." The Ghost turns his attention back to the monitors, trying to get a quick understanding of where the room might be. As he worked, he made sure that the system wouldn't monitor their progress. He smiles once he gets the information he was looking for. "Looks like they're in a sub basement. I think I can get us to the elevator fairly quickly." The Ghost stood and moved out of the room leading the way to hidden elevator behind the large stairs. "The doors look to open into a short corridor that leads directly to that room they were setting up. So, expect trouble as soon as we enter." Ghost said as the two rode the elevator down to the sub levels. He moved to the side so that the doors could open without him in the center.

  19. Just a note. I'm going to see if I can pick up this thread until Markk comes back or so, but I need to clear some of the open threads I've left running a little too long. :oops: If no one steps up to the plate by the end of next week, I'll jump in.
  20. Sure. But as a full round action, they're going to get their shots off before he can finish most likely, forcing a power check to make sure he can get it off if they cause him some damage.

    Sammy saw teh sudden change and quick reaction of the demon and frowned. "You could have tried doing that a lot quieter, you know. There's no telling how many security guards on the premisies. Now, only a fool wouldn't ahve heard that boom." Sammy carefully walked around the spot that marked the guard and walked into the security room. The security room was relatively small compared to the size of the grounds but there were a number of monitors that showed scenes from various areas of the compound. Each screen flipped through another of different of angles, each monitor obviously hosting a number of cameras. Sammy frowned as he tried to identify the system. Eight different monitors rotated through various camera angles. "Hey. Looks like there's quite an extensive security system in place." Sammy pointed to two of the eight screens as he explained what he could understand of the system. "These two are for the gate and outside of the compound. We'll need to find the recording device and disable it to make sure that our approach isn't on here. Well, your approach that is. I doubt that I'll show up on any of the footage, but better to be safe than sorry." He pointed to another monitor, "This one must be of the first floor and entrance. I recognize the fountain as well as the lobby. I didn't think there was one inside like this, but I should have expected it. These others must each be a floor or areas of the building.." Sammy stopped in his explination as one of the monitors showed a group of men in a room, locking ablocking a door. He quickly counted three men with the same clothing as the recently departed security guard and two men that seemed to be directing them. Though there was no sound coming from the monitor, it was clear that the two men were obviously better trained than other three men. Before more of the area could be learned, the screen changed to another part of the building. "Great. We've got three peons and two guys that look as if they know what they're doing. We're not going to be getting the drop on that bunch now."

  23. Stephanie smiled at Chris as she answered. "It was when Darian fixed the smoke machine. The device was actually a teleporter that allowed us to move you from the gym to the training room. I'm sorry that you and Gordy were taken for the ride, but it made sense. Darian had shown great friendship with yourself and we thought that having Gordy along would help even things out. As you can see, it didn'T work out that way exactly, but you did manage to complete the test."
