  1. I do not understand this. Are you agreeing with what I said in the post above, or disagreeing?

  4. I have been thinking more about the Alt Form-projection, and to me it seems as though the cost should depend onthe number of ranks of the Alt-form. For example, if I take Alt-Form 10 it wold cost 40 points. 40 points I could not really use on the spur of the moment. If I were ambushed by a hero, then if I use those 40 points and change form, then the hero could simply pound my unconscious body into the ground, or I fight the hero 40 points shy of full power, which might not be very easy. That seems balanced for a -1, or even a +0 modification. Now where it is really abusive is where I take only a few ranks, or even worse a single rank. Suddenly for 4 points, I walk around all day with a 146 point build, and gain the strong ability of changing into another form and and wrecking havoc with far less vulnerability than usual. So to me, it depends on the number of ranks. What do you all think?

  7. Well, I'm about half a D&D (currently 3.5) player and an M&M player (an obscure Superhero game, I doubt you have heard of it ) I have played Star Wars and Deadlands in the past, both face to face and online. Years ago i did Marvel Superheroes (did not like it much) and DC Heroes ( played a ton of that in college) and a few games my buddies brought around, but I do not remember any of their names, really. I also play a lot of card games and Internet games, and currently do Diablo II LOD a lot (maybe too much) Not really varied, I guess, but gaming is my main hobby.

  10. Ok, one more thing that might be good to discuss is Impervious Will, Reflex and Fortitude. I am not sure if I want to go this way, but I'd like to know if it is an option.

  13. Actually, to my thinking, I was wondering why it was a flaw. The way I see it is that you make another body right next to you, an then send it out to do mayhem, but can dissolve that projection and return to your own body at any time with a free action. Of course there is the problem of an unconscious body left behind, but it seems to me it would be pretty hard to find that. Very interesting power.

  16. After a while Clyst finds himself a hole to hide in, a largish room behind several three inch diameter, or smaller pipes that makes him feel that only he can get into the lair, at least only he of dangerous creatures. Sure, a rat could get in, and Clyst rather hopes more do, after he finishes devouring a largish nest that was already there. And now that he has found himself a home, probably under the area of the Theater District. He is not sure, but now it is time to head out, and take the biggest step of his life, meeting up with some kind of hero.

  19. No, definitely not looking for astral projection. I looked at the Astral power and the Projection of Alternate form is what I want him to be able to do. Using protection and immunity or making other powers permanent is an option, but also I could use some kind of linked power to give the body some more protection.

  22. Ok, thanks for the answers regarding the Mental control. Now one about the projection version of alternate form. The way I read it is that the alternate form is your normal abilities plus the alternate form abilities whether it is a projection or not. So if I had mental control, and then made the alternate form, the alternate form would have it also. But say I had Force field (sustained) Would it protect my unconscious real form and the alterante form at the same time? I think it would but i want to check.

  25. And Clyst watches the humans for a while, secure in his sewer fortress, and wait for dark to fall, for he has noticed that the humans virtually disappear at night, though he is not totally sure why. But it is unmistakeable. Maybe it is too cold for them, but then why are they outside now, and why don't they just warm themselves like Clyst does. And what is with all the stuff they wear on their bodies. Sometimes they wear so little, like on the beach, and now they wear so much, like here and nw. Very confusing. But after a while he moves back into he sewer, and starts looking for a hole to hide in, a place secure enough for him to rest and not be attacked. He searches the rest of the day.
