  1. "Awww. That's too bad," Randy said, his smile as charming as ever. "I was planning on skipping class tomorrow. You should join me. We could make a whole day of it." He leaned back on the bed and put his arms behind his head. "I know this great little pizza place. We could get it to go and have lunch in the park."

Megan leaned back slightly, putting one arm down on the bed as she looked over at Randy. “That would be nice, but skipping out at my school isn’t quite so easy. The classes are pretty small, so I would be missed. Sides, I am pretty sure my civics class is having a quiz tomorrow.†She said with a sigh.

“Must be nice to have a lot more freedom in college.â€Â

  2. "Ballroom cheerleading? Your school is definitely different that the one I went to."

“No silly, mainly ballroom dancing here, not at school. Our cheerleading squad is pretty much just like anywhere else, lots of songs with highly suggestive lyrics and dance routines that play off that.†Megan said with a smile.

Randy led Megan to the dance floor just as the orchestra was striking up again. He cocked his head and listened. "Hmmm, Strauss. Viennese Waltz? It'll do." Randy grabbed Megan by the hand and pulled her in close until their hips were touching. Still holding her right hand, he extended his left arm straight out to the side and scooped his other arm up under hers, lifting it up until their arms were parallel to the floor, the perfect form for the Viennese Waltz? "You can waltz, right?" he asked with a mischievous grin.

Once they were on the dance floor, Megan let Randy pull her close as they prepared to dance. “Of course I can.†She replied with a grin “Had to take all sorts of dance lessons over the years.â€Â

  5. Nearby in one of the FCU dorm buildings.

Megan opened her eyes as she felt Randy's lips leave hers for a moment. Tonight had been their first date after meeting during a party at the Midnight Society's mansion. They had gone out to eat nearby and then caught a movie down in the theater district.

She looked into his eyes and smiled before glancing over to the side. From where they were seated on his bed in his dorm room, she was able to see the clock on his desk, telling her what she wished was not the case.  "It's getting late. I have school tomorrow morning."

  6. “Umm, not sure, depends on when the police are done. I’ll give you a call when I know something okay?†Megan replied. “Don’t feel bad, just one of the things that happens in this town. And believe me, when you see my costume it will be worth the wait.†She added in a coy tone.

  9. "Dancing, hun? Sounds like that might not suck." He offered Megan his arm and began heading toward the dance floor. "So," he added as they walked, "What kind of dancing are we talking here . . . and are you any good?" His eyes twinkled jovially when he said it. "Because I wouldn't want to be seen dancing with a girl who couldn't hold her own. I've got a reputation to uphold, you know."

Megan took Randy’s arm as they started towards the ballroom. “Ballroom mainly. But sometimes they have a DJ later in the evening. So maybe we’ll be lucky tonight.â€Â

She then grinned as he asked if she was any good at dancing. “I don’t think I would be captain of the cheerleading squad at my school if I wasn’t. If I were you, I’d worry more about being able to keep up.â€Â

  12. "Hi there. Excessively bored." He offered his hand to her in a mock formal greeting. "Seriously, my friends call me Randy. You looked like you needed some rescuing over there. Well, maybe not rescuing . . . an exit strategy." Randy ran his fingers through his just-unkempt-enough-to-be-stylish-and-reflective-of-a-very-expensive-haircut hair. "So, I've alway managed to avoid this circus, but you look like an old pro. What do we do for fun? Anything? Or do we just have to wait it out . . . ike the flu?"

“Nice to meet you Randy.†Megan replied, her warm smile still in place. “Yeah, I have been to a number of events like this. As for fun things, that really depends on what you consider fun.â€Â

“There is a ballroom towards the back with dancing.†Megan then added.

  15. Donald Howell gave Richard a slight smile at the nod and then turned to look at Emissary. As Richard had failed to provide any introductions, the prominent attorney choose to correct the mistake. “It is a pleasure to meet you Emissary.†He said, holding out his hand for the dignitary. “Donald Howell. And this is my wife Erin.†He indicated the lovely woman at his side.

Erin Howell gave Emissary a warm smile. “Very nice to meet you Emissary. How are you liking Freedom City?â€Â

  18. "That's quite a schedule. Sounds like you're thinking about going into business law with that courseload?"

“Yeah, it is pretty busy, but as my mom would say, it helps keep me out of too much trouble.†Megan replied with a smile, glancing at her mom a brief moment as she spoke. She then focused back on Benjiro. “As for going into corporate law, or any law for that matter, I have not made any solid plans for that route just yet.â€Â

She did not have much more chance to talk with her father’s prominent client as they were interrupted by Richard O’Conner who had the familiar Emissary in tow with him. Megan just gave Richard a faint smile as he gave her little more than a nod. There was quite a crowd around Benjiro it seemed and sensing the conversations were likely to turn to boring talk of engineering and the like, the teenage girl decided it was time to move on.

She had not had to look far before she saw a young man looking at her from over near the bar. Megan met his gaze as he gave an inviting wave to try to get her to come over. A smile coming to her face, she headed over towards the bar. “Hi there.†She said as she came up beside him. “Megan Howell.â€Â
