  1. Eternal Dragon sighed at the painted over windows. "Guess we're going to have to do this the hard way". He looked up towards the roof. "Can you get us up to the roof, Doctor Warp? It might be a good entrance point." ED was a little weirded out by the strange smoky invisibility but any advantage they might need is worth the weirdness.
  2. Would you like us to roll Perception checks now that we're looking through the window?
  3. Eternal Dragon (20 in total) Gangbusters (9) Favored Son (2) The Family Business (9)
  4. Jason was a little surprised at the three new people who had started talking to him. Racking his brain for the group's names as he shook their hands, he remembered the two women from high school. He was completely unfamiliar with Robert though. "Hi. It's a pleasure to meet all of you. And that's about right on the years, Miss Owens". Jason was perfectly aware of the competing contracts that frequently came up between Draco and Owens but he really didn't care about competition. He just viewed it as a chance to become better. "Anyways, how have all of you been? I've been gone for a long time and haven't really been brought up to date about the current state of my fellow graduates".
  5. ED was a little embarrassed that he had to do this with the help of a hero he just met but he grabbed on to Dr. Warp's arm so he could quickly make it to Club Ice. Running along the rooftops was also a possibility but not nearly as quick a mode of transportation as Warp apparently was. That reminded him, he needed to buy something faster to get around the city.
  6. I think heading to Club Ice, now that we know that Bonfire knows about it, would be the better plan. Going after the van might alert any people there that we're coming.
  7. Eternal Dragon stood up and brushed himself off. "Well, we don't really have much option. Can't just let those maniacs attempt to steal or hurt anymore people." Realizing that might have sounded ruder than intended, Dragon continued, "Glad to be working with you two". Dragon thought quite hard for a second on what they might have been stealing. "Money is always the easy answer but I have a bad feeling about what it actually was. We should hurry."
  8. The helping hand getting him on the van was nice but now ED needed to stick the landing or slip off the vehicle like an idiot. And he wasn't going to look like an idiot in front of these two new heroes. He had a little more pride than that. After slipping a little on the top of the vehicle, Eternal Dragon caught himself and looked around the vehicle. "Either I could ride this thing all the way to where it's going or I could stop it now". Eternal Dragon charged up a Claw to attempt to crush the car but stopped himself at the last second, scratching the top of the car. Thinking for a second, Eternal Dragon decided to wait atop the car instead of stopping it. He probably wouldn't be able to destroy the van anyways (trying not to overestimate his strength) but waiting would be the easiest way to find out where these goons came from.
  9. Oh whoops. Forgot about the +10. Anyways, let's just try to stop this van for now. I'm gonna go for a True Dragon Claw on the van. Just a damage check if I'm not mistaken. So going to Power Attack as well for a -2. So DC 29 versus van.
  10. I can probably make it too, so that's probably a good idea. I'll go ahead and make the check, just so it's ready. Acrobatics Check from ED: 1d20+16=17 And... I'm totally re-rolling that. HP for Acrobatics Check. 2nd Acrobatics Check from ED: 1d20+16=22 And these dice are not my friend today.
  11. Alright, one is down. Sparks was looking pretty woozy from the beating the three heroes had given him. Eternal Dragon decided to take advantage of that. "Hey, over here!" Jason yelled at the thug. As he began to charge up a new electricity blast, ED used the charged up Claw he had saved up. The punch landed true and the thug's legs turned to jelly from the punch.
  12. I'm just gonna try to get the Lightning Thug out once and for all. Eternal Dragon Claw on LT: 1d20+8= 25 DC 27 for the Lightning Thug.
  13. Jason sighed at the stack of paperwork. No matter how much he enjoyed working, he really couldn't get into it before starting. Once he started, he was off. But right now he just thought about how insurmountable the amount of papers was. Jason began to quickly look over each paper, signing off wherever he needed to and paying attention to current contracts that he really needed to remember. Some of the contracts were with people he had met when he was a kid, so that was a little more interesting to see where people he knew ended up. Jason hadn't completely finished up before the building was beginning to shut down, so he decided to just take the stack home. He brought a bag up with him for a reason. He wasn't sure if he could fit all of them anyways. Maybe Jason'd grab a burger on the way home. Jason started to leave after sorting the papers out he needed to bring with him.
  14. And now it's time to get a little payback. The fake smoke burst was a nice plan and it did open up the lightning controller for a solid hit. "Hey, Sparks!" Eternal Dragon said as he charged his claw once again. "He never said it was just him you needed to worry about." The claw smashed into the Lightning Thug's face right after he said that. The impact sent the thug flying through the wall behind him. And then he got up again. "Oh, come on!" ED said as he prepared to finish off the Lightning Thug.
  15. Alright, let's try to land a hit on the Lightning Thug. 1d20+8=23 Alright, most likely a hit. So DC 27.
  16. Eternal Dragon was starting to lose a little focus. The hit earlier took a little out of him and the inability to hit these grunts was frustrating. So he summoned his Claw up once again to attempt to land a hit. And missed. The thug must have gotten lucky. "You know, today is not my day," Jason said. Jason attempted to focus and try to land the hit again. And missed. The frustration was really starting to build up. "It's really, really not my day". Jason took a deep breath while avoiding attacks and tried to focus for his next hit.
  17. Jason waited for Stone to get out of earshot before continuing. "Just so you know, I'm not selling the business whatsoever." This was said offhandedly but with as serious a tone as possible, without coming off as rude. Draco Enterprises was one of things that Jason had made a priority before even his own safety. He owed a lot to his parents (dead though they may be) and Draco was one of the ways to pay them back for all they had done to make his life great. "Anyways, thank you for the advice. I've never really had to deal with press in any way, except for school and local papers". Jason said, finishing what he was eating.
  18. All right, let's go for the most injured opponent, just trying to take him out of the fight. True Dragon Claw on Lightning Thug: 1d20+8= 12 And if that somehow hits, DC 27.
  19. " Alright, good. My opponent is off balance, let's take advantage of that," Jason thought to himself. "Keep your guard up, even when you're blind!" Jason said as he summoned up the True Dragon Claw. Taking careful aim, the Claw began to go true towards the blinded mook. Until the smoke got close enough to Jason's eyes as well. "Crap!" Jason said, reeling back from the irritation forming in his eyes. "Thanks for helping me out but try to use something less liable to blind me as well next time." Jason said, getting back into combat position after rubbing his eyes clean.
  20. Jason let the IT guy set up his access without too much fuss. He wanted to be up and running as soon as possible but he didn't need to needle the guy trying to help him our. Once IT finished, Jason gave him a handshake and says "Thanks for helping me out. I probably wouldn't have gotten done that quickly if it wasn't for you. I'll remember this when I'm at the top". Jason then decided to wait for the PR people to finish with the press by reading through old company files to see what he had missed while gone.
  21. ED's code of honor only applies to hitting enemies from behind so he's allowed to take advantage of this situation. ED's gonna move in on the three guys and use the True Dragon Claw on the Lightning grunt. This is going to be a -2 Power Attack as well. First the roll: 1d20+8-2=8 And that is a DC 29 Attack.
  22. Toughness Check for ED= 1d20+10=15
  23. "Crap, need to get down there quickly!" Jason said a little louder than he intended. But he didn't want anybody getting hurt on his watch. Jason jumped down from the roof and made it fairly easily. He looked over and saw a gray misty creature using some sort of smoke attack on these three thugs. "Better help him out. Don't think he wants a three on one situation". Jason began focusing his ki into his arm. He felt pulses of energy begin to go through his body as he summoned up his Dragon Claw. Jason singled out the thug who had been spraying Lightning before and decided that he might enjoy a ball of fiery ki to the face. Taking the stance he normally did when about to throw his Flame out, Jason aimed carefully (knowing they probably still didn't notice him) and chucked the ball of ki at the electric thug's face.
  24. Alright. First let's try to get back on the ground. Acrobatics check = 1d20+16=32 I'm gonna roll with the assumption that I made it back onto the ground. Let's go with a Dragon Fire from where I land against Lightning. Attack Check= 1d20+6=25 And they are rolling against a DC of 25.
  25. Jason was quite impressed with the current state of affairs in Future Endeavors. He could see several photon-refraction weapons hung on the walls and being tested as he walked through. Those things were only supposed to be fairy tales at the moment. Or at least so he had been told. He knew that there was always alien tech to "borrow" that could have been used. This seemed to be confirmed by the amazing variety of tech in R and D. Quality control was surprisingly empty at the moment. Future Endeavors seemed to have a lot of products that were only in the testing phase. HR was a nice place, Mrs. Crotchett was a lovely old lady as always. Mrs. Crotchett had been the one to watch him when he was much littler and his Dad and Mom were working(She loved kids). Public relations was insane though. There were people running all over, fielding phone calls and talking to reporters. "Guess my arrival meant more than I thought, "Jason mused as he hid his face from the reporters.
