Heritage
Okay, Grim's boosting her Charisma back up to 36 and working the Bluff; with 15 ranks and Skill Mastery, that gives her a 38 :o Link to comment
KnightDisciple
Oh, we be doing the talky-talky thing? Heh. Gabriel's gonna step in on this. But while I could use Skill Mastery to get an auto-34...where's the fun in that? So instead, I roll, with a bonus of 24. Hm. Only a 30. Well, that's what I get. Still, ought not to be too bad. Now I just need to figure out what to say.... Link to comment
trollthumper
PERFIDY! The Lady of Beautiful Torment opens with a Trip 15 Area Attack. As Jack has Magical Awareness and Grim has Danger Sense, I'll let them pick up the threat and dodge out of the way if they can. Nick and Gabriel, however, are caught off-guard by the surprise attack - both will take a Hero Point - and must make a DC25 Reflex save, followed by a DC22 Strength, Dexterity or Acrobatics check against the Lady's power check to avoid falling Prone (DC20 if they made the first save). Nick manages to make his Reflex save, but fails his Trip check and falls Prone. Combat begins! The Lady of Beautiful Torment is repped by AA's Glacia build, with caps raised to PL15 - Attack is now +11 (+15 Ranged), Defense is now +17 (+4 Flat-Footed), Toughness +13, Fortitude +12, Reflex +11, and Will +11, with power caps raised to match. Her Knights are repped by AA's Psi-Warrior, with caps raised to PL12 - Attack is now +10 (+14 Frost Saber), Defense is now +14 (+5 Flat-Footed), Toughness +10, Fortitude +9, Reflex +8, Will +10. Initiative is rolled. The Lady's Guards go on 25, 24, and 13. The Lady goes on 16. Nick goes on 9. Link to comment
KnightDisciple
Reflex Save first. 23. Almost only counts in horseshoes and orbital bombardment, so... 17. Prone it is, then. 9; I can't catch a break tonight. Link to comment
Gizmo
Sorry, do Jack and Grim have to make saves at all? If they do, are they the same DC as Nick and Gabriel's? Link to comment
trollthumper
Nope. You guys know what's coming ahead of time due to your various Senses, so you're able to get to the far sides of the room, away from the carpet of ice. Link to comment
