  1. Lucy could feel the waves of fear rolling off the poor man. Thinking about it before this kind of situation would have given her the creeps, but not now. She felt a little guilty about doing this but any information could be vital. “Wow it’s really spooky down her. Is this place haunted? Are there any ghost down her? My mother always said I was a little psychic.†A quick try of the door showed it was locked, and a look at Steve showed he wouldn’t be much help. A little force and the door opened easily. “Oh look the door broke must be the rotten wood. If you want I could stay here on you own.†Her best gormless smile “You’ve been such a great help after all.â€
  2. Sense Motive : (1d20+7=22) Does he have the keys to the room or will I have to force the lock?
  3. Trent tiny detail its almost not worth mentioning, but... Y.B. is Agnes, Lucy's the other one. My bad really for having you run two threads with two different characters . Just to check, no prime tech works here right?
  4. Yeah I’ so sharp I’ll cut myself. She wasn’t sure there was much here that could harm her, but better not to take any chances. She was especially concerned about the idea of something hanging around in the old parts of the building. She hung onto his arm, trying to keep up the ditzy masquerade. “How about you give me the whole tour. They I can go have a look at all that dusty old stuff.†Lucy gave one of her winning smiles “I’m ever so thankful for all this help Steve.†ugh! But need musts. She gently pushed Steve forwards to start his “interesting†tour of the slabs of meat.
  5. “I wonder if it’s a Bernard or a Judi?†she mumbled to herself as she followed this Lord She stopped at the portal which she was sure had been cribbed from some TV show she’d seen at some point. Oh well too late to back out now. “Well I don’t normally get travel sick, but if I am I’m charging you for the dry cleaning.†Almost by habit she put in her ear buds and set her Nano on shuffle, it kicked out a Kate Bush track which somehow seemed appropriate for a Victorian world. “In the words of another dimensional traveller. Geronimo!†Doing her best Time Tunnel impression she stepped through the portal.
  6. Doktor'd Young Britannia Minor alteration, just adding Wealthy (Benefit 1),with my 1PP. Doktor'd
  7. Dead Head'd! Revenant Big haul this month lots of points : Incresed Strength to 26. Added 2PP to Skill, giving me 8 RP. Added one point each to Bluff, Knowledge (Business), Knowledge (Streetwise) and Notice. Added two points to , Knowledge (Civics). Added Knowlegde (Arcane) and Knowledge (Popular Culture) at 1 rank. Increased Protection to 11, Speed to 2 and added Super-Strength at 1 rank. Dead Head'd!
  8. Wow as a pitch that was off the charts. A part of her wanted to just jump at the chance for such an adventure, but she was still a little cautious. This could be a massive con off some kind. But if not… “Okay you’ve got an hour to convince me. If I’m not happy I get to walk away. †She got her phone out of her purse and began to dial a number. She’d have to stall the studio for a couple of days just in case. “You bloody better be paying me in gold, if this screwed up my recording contract…†her look suggested she was very serious.
  9. Diplomacy (1d20+12=20) I'll try a re-roll (1d20+12=16) Well at leasts he's indiffrent
  10. She smiled her best smile “For now Steve, you’re all the prime meat I need.†Just for effect actually giggled. “I’ve been tracing my family tree; I’m a decedent of Felix Drum. He stayed in this house when…†her voice took on a conspiratorial whisper “…this was an asylum.†She put on her best innocent and hopeful look “I was wondering if I could have a look round the old place, get a feel for what he went through.†She tried to sound as nonchalant as possible “Do you happen to know where all the old places records went?â€
  11. Technically she can't access skills whilst in her normal identity, but I thought it would work well for the scene. If you want I can edit that bit out.
  12. She sat back in the comfy chairs and enjoyed the man hospitality. Real bloody tea and scones, she was in heaven. She didn’t even drink that much tea back home, it seemed that staying in America had made her even more English, which for the spirit of the land was quite something. She was trying to work out what he was on about she heard of Vaudeville and Burlesque revivals but music hall was a bit much. Then he said the magic word. Caught unaware her face briefly flickered to that of someone else and her normal soft North London accent took on a Wilshire tone. “What like Avalon, the Faerie realms?â€
  13. She spent a few moments taking in the architecture of the old building, whilst taking time to decide how to approach the building. Subtly would be useful she could easily sneak around the building, but the employees would have some knowledge of the site and maybe even those elusive records. She felt thankful that in her rush she had naturally went for her suit, it made her look all tidy and respectable. Though official wouldn’t work, they could probably run rings around her knowledge of modern law. So someone interested in the historic site. She rang the bell and patiently waited.
  14. Who was this guy? He wasn’t Six, the whole look made James Bond look subtle. Maybe the Ministry? She’d manage to stay under the radar so far, but they were bound to catch up with her sooner or later. She just hadn’t expected them on US soil. Obviously the man knowledge of music stopped sometime before Vera Lynn still that might help her him not knowing about her fall from grace. She took his hand a shook it firmly “Yeah that’s right I’m Annice. As you said the magic word I’ll take a listen to what you’re selling. But if I don’t like the deal I get to walk away. Right?â€
  15. Fallowfield Hall huh, she promised to make it up to May, if there was some way you could apologise to a stone sphinx. She sat on the steps and thought about this for a minute. A meat packing plant, she wouldn’t would she? It would be a perfect place to hide her, unique diet. That if Lucy wasn’t chasing a ghosts around. It wouldn’t hurt to go have a look around, it was unlikely they had any record still lying around but there was still that off chance. After enjoying the feel of the sun on her face, she got up a hailed a taxi to the ruined sanatorium.
  16. Blood Hell this guy might be for real. And he had to mention the England, it was hardwired into her now, there was no way she could refuse him, even if she wanted to. And Gold Sovereigns, well she had always been told to put her trust in gold. That and off shore tax free banks. If only she’d listened to their advice. Well she had an afternoon, and he’d be in for a surprise if he tried anything on. Why not humour the man. “In that case sir you have my full attention.†She put on her best cultured Eliza Doolittle voice.
  17. An English voice in this city. Then her brain caught up to what he’d said. Then she looked up. The man whilst quite attractive looked like he just stepped from a BBC costume drama, and the car well it had the standard four wheels, but the thing was belching steam like Ivor the engine. Causes the citizens of Freedom City were taking it all in their stride. She drained the last dregs of the tea and carefully folded the paper. “Wow you really take your Steampunk seriously. But I’m afraid my mother told me never to accept lifts from strangers.â€
  18. Agnes accelerated toward the falling man, trying to judge the distances just right. She slotted herself perfectly below and come up to catch him in such a way to cancel out his velocity. Who would have known her GCSE maths would have helped her be a hero? She was pretty sure the magic of her powers would handle all this, but she didn’t want to take the risk until she was sure. There was a surprised umph from the man as she caught him as softly as possible. “Don’t worry I’ve got you.†It was clichéd but hey it worked.
  19. Another day another trip to the library. At this rate she’d have to get herself an Intern. Then again she’d have to get Kapalini some kind of job, for an ex-spirit she eat like a horse. Rene always seemed to put her in the good mood, well the two times they had met, so she travelled the streets of Freedom City with a spring in her step. Today May got the luck pat; she must have upset May, because after a couple of hour searching she found that Drum use to own the Webb house. Feeling a little stupid she concentrating on any other information she could find out about his holdings and his unfortunate fate.
  20. The morning recording session had gone well she’d recorded the basic lyrics for the producer. This allowed her the afternoon off. Virtually unknown here she could happily walk the streets just another young woman in the big city. Well until she actually opened her mouth to speak, especially as she had an accent that no one her recognized. She settled into the comfy chair of Starbase Coffee, who did a passable tea, and opened her treasure of the day a copy of The Times (which they insisted on calling the London Times). Not her normal reading material, but tucked away in the Entertainment section was a small piece about her travelling to Freedom City to re-launch her career. Not much else, but considering some of the thinks that she had said and done in the past that was probably a blessing.
  21. Felix Drums old address, property etc. And a Will if possible specially if it mentions Nora. That all under Civics right?
  22. More research right? Same plan as above I'll take my time and spend the day looking up the address et al.
  23. Revenant Bloody Nora Empty Night Freedom City Renaissance Fair Karma, Yakshini, Karma Sleeping Worms Urban Regeneration Young Britannia Arcane Defenestration Earth Victoriana: Music Hall Mystery! Under Pressure
  24. Already the big black bruise the Golem caused was fading away to nothing, though Revenant was still picking herself up from the floor, luckily the Mage was in a similar state, if not worst. He did however seem to be immune to the casting of the Yakshini. The Golem however wasn’t harmed in the slightest bringing his fists crashing down on Kapalini knocking her senseless to the floor. Revenant was still groggy but one thing was certain, the young (in her mind, she was probably older than even her) Yakshini was struggling to cope with the enemy. She couldn’t bring herself to see anyone get harmed in her name. Only one thing to do. “Okay I’ll do it. Deactivate that†she gestured to the Golem “And I’ll open your box.â€
  25. Revenant recovers from her injury. Injury and finally regeneration, I am complete . Kapalini will try again to stun the Mage. (1d20+3=19), Mage needs to make a DC 17, (1d20+10=26) still fine. Golem goes for last hero standing, tries to hit Kapalini, (1d20+7=14), another hit, DC save vs. 23 1d20+6=12 Staggered and Stunned. Things are not going well.
