  1. The last few minutes had not been good to Revenant. Being dragged into the water had been a bit of a shock causing her to give a little shriek of shock. She had never really learned to swim, when she was young the city had few places to learn, but now floating in the dock she was totally calm. Not having to breath was a big help, but nothing about the situation seem to bother her. Well maybe expect seeing her double a leering parody of you own look didn't do much for your own self esteem. Not that that was going to stop her. She swam towards the double with powerful broad stroke and attempted to grab hold of her ankle.
  2. okay here we go : MoveAction : Swim my full 15 feet up to the Doppleganger. Standard Action : Going to grapple the Doppleganger Attack roll 1d20+11=13 well that isn't going to work going to spend A HP for a reroll, 1d20+11=23 (sorry forgot the -2 so 21) much better. Concealment 1d20=11 (miss on a 17+) Grapple 1d20+20=24 (I noticed the Grapple on my sheet is calculated wrong it should be Base 9+Str 10+S-Str 1=10)
  3. “Well I'm going home, to Freedom City.†She began to walk making sure that Jake was following. “And you're coming with me. But, and this a big but, from now on you do exactly what I say. Veronica was a light weight compared to who we're going to face.†She retraced her path until she returned to the Diner she had started her journey. “Do you want anything?†After ordering some more coffee and whatever Jake requested, as well as swapping some pleasantries she again returned to the pay phone. “Hello Rene I've finished her and could do with a trip home. But I've picked up a bit of extra baggage.â€
  4. Nikki eye's went (naturally) wide “Alien's really? Wow the first company I try to actually take over...†She wandered over to the businessman and help him to his feet. “I think it's better if you wait outside until we've finished our business.†she guided the unresisting man outside the office and closed the doors. She took something from the desk drawers and gesture to set of couches in the corner. “I thought it might come to this so I took the precaution of having these drawn up.†she held up two folders “The give the two of you temporary ownership if I go missing for over 7 days, after a month you both co-own the company. If after what I tell you you decide I'm unfit to run this company, then well you have the power to do so.â€
  5. And we're back! Rather than go via Mr Exposition I think it'll be better to feed the information this way. Saint Catherines is easy to find out about, it's an exclusive all girls school up at North Bay. As for the Don's Daughter, a Knowledge (Streetwise) DC 10 DC 15
  6. Synth's subtle pressure was enough and the creature seemed to lose cohesion and flowed into a puddle of pink goo. As the two heroes were recovering from the battle the sound from outside also quickly died away. Then Niki entered into the room, giving Synth her first look at her pink demonic form, as they watched she shifted back down into her smaller human form dressed in the clothes Synth had seen her in before all this started. “I hope you don't mind if I stay in this form, I find it more comfortable.â€
  7. Toughness Save 1d20+10-2=9, so unconscious. So we're out of combat and time to wrap up.
  8. Fro the record Revenants Initiative is 1d20+6=23. Do I get to act this round or does evil!me get a surprise round?
  9. She gave a small size and helped Jake to his feet, once she was happy that Veronica would let them leave she turned and replied “Parting in such sweet sorrow my sister.†she gave a tight smile Not waiting for a response she turned and helped Jake past the gate and back to where she had met him. Once this far she stopped to make sure that he was he fine. “If I asked you to walk away now you would just come back here, wouldn't you?†her tone wasn't harsh or confrontational, she was just stating what she knew to be true.
  10. To keep an eye on someone, possibly even your friend here, and make sure there not in league with possible disruptive forces. Subito's kind words made her again blush, she of cause knew that being Welsh was cool, but it still nice when someone else confirmed it. “I don't have any powers. I inherited an ancient family legacy. I have an ancient magical sword, Dyrnwyn, and my family is tasked with fighting evil.†The well practice cover story just rolled out of her mouth, and it was to most part true, after all the Order was to all extent and purposes the only family she had ever know.
  11. “Tylwyth Teg, it means Fair Folk. They have a King and Queen just like any other kind of Fae.†The information came out almost automatically; she’d been tested on this many times already. “Whilst the Aos Si are the largest and most dominate court, there are a number of lesser known smaller courts. The Tylwyth Teg are just one of them, sometime they are allies and sometime they fight.†Looking up and noticing the two of them listening to her explanation all her confidence seemed to flow away. “Or at least that what I heard. I’ve only met them once.â€
  12. Reflex Save 1d20+8=25. Well never helpless...
  13. Whilst she was happy that these two were giving her such a warm welcome, but she was still a little overwhelmed. She managed a smile but couldn’t bring herself to look either of them in the eye. “Thank you both, it’s very kind of you.†Morgan’s explanation had her in two minds. The professional part of her brain noted that he had obviously had some bad dealing with the Fae, and made a note to find out more. The other part of her felt a little sorry for bring up bad memories, this part one out and she subconsciously bowed her head and began fidgeting with her book. “Well the Tylwyth Tegaren’t aligned with either court, so they’re easier to deal with. Though they still can still be as caprious as any of the Fae.†She wasn't sure why she'd said it, it just sort of came out.
  14. She was in awe at the two's conversation, she wouldn't have expected anyone in the outside world to have anything like this converation. Then again she was beginning to suspect that this was no ordinary school. “Besides a solitary Tylwyth Teg probably wouldn't dwell this far in the city...†she mumbled to herself thinking out loud. It took her a few second to realize that the conversation had now turned around to her, but no time at all to answer Morgan's question “I'm Welsh.†her face showed intense pride
  15. Though the temperature was falling around her Agnes gritted her teeth and began to concentrate. “You’re going to have to do better than that. I might have to start giving you the cold shoulder.†It was false bravado, she didn’t really feel quite up to spec, but it wouldn’t hurt to give her a false impression. She did have enough in her to again start to subtly strobe the aura of light around her body. Though she wasn’t overly confident, maybe it was the way the ice was scattering the light, but the strobe didn’t seem quite right this time.
  16. Okay, sorry about all that. I'll try and use Stun again 1d20+7-2=16, well that ain't going to work...
  17. Toughness Save : 1d20+10-2=15, so Staggered and dazed. So... 19 - Assistant - Bruised x 2, Staggered, Dazed - GM 16 - Starlight - Unharmed - 2hp 14 - Synth - Dazed - 1hp And Synth's go next.
  18. She was just considering what name to give when he arrived. Though the order had little information they had provided photos of possible targets to watch, and he was one of them. She had thought full and even practiced how she was going to talk to someone like Morgan. But not quite like this. She lowered her eyes and nervously tucked her hair behind her ear, she even felt herself blushing. “Er yeah… hi I’m Blo- … Cerys, Cerys Pefr.†Why did she sound so much like a blathering idiot? She was fine with all this in practice, but somehow here in the real world she was struggling.
  19. So engrossed was she in the book that she was surprised by the sound of Subito's voice. Giving a little eek she almost dropped her book. Her first instincts were to hide, she could simply disappear and never have to deal with anyone here. But no if she was going to have to stay here then she would have to try and get along with everybody else. She sat one the edge of the branch so they could see each other better. "It's the Mabinogion." As if no other explanation was necessary. She was suddenly aware of how quiet her own voice sounded. With her strong accent, at least she remembered to speak English, she was afraid he wouldn't be able to understand her.
  20. Your stranded Claremont introduction where Blodeuwedd meets some of the school. All Claremonters are welcome to join as they wish.
  21. Blodeuwedd was confused and a little jet lagged. The headmaster had torn apart her cover story and more or less told her that he knew about the order. Then he had invited her to stay at Claremont. And she was uncomfortable in the city. She had grown up in a small village where she had known everyone living there; new comers and visitors were, deliberately, rare. Here she was surrounded by people, all of whom she didn’t know. So instead of finding her “guide†and settling in she decided to calm herself a little, she found the large tree she had seen earlier and scaled it branches. Settling down she pulled from the bag, containing her only possessions, a small battered copy of the Mabinogion and sat back to read her book.
  22. The man face feel and he looked for the first time uncomfortable. “I’m afraid the Augurs aren’t precise, all I can tell you for sure is that he has a young teenage daughter who is a suitable candidate for a sacrifice. All I know is when, which is tomorrow and where which it is going to take place at a school called Saint Catherine’s.†The man bowed his head “The girl in questions isn’t quite an innocent, but she has not earned the fate the creature has planned for her. I cannot travel any further on this journey the rest is up to you all…â€
  23. This Lord Steam was amazing; he looked and acted just like someone from her parent’s generation. It was at the same time comforting and made her feel a little homesick, not that she could really every go home… “We have a name for those, we call them submarines. Though it is a beautiful object, I’m sure Verne would be proud of you.†She turned to the Ambassador, something had been bothering her since this all started. “I hope you mind me asking Ambassador, but I know nothing about your ancient civilization. Lord Brutus seemed to have a strange reaction to our companion and I’m not quite sure why?â€
  24. The creature writhed and shifted in Synth's grasp, but even in its shifted form it couldn’t seem to break her grasp. It continued to struggle against Synth however even against her best efforts. Its eye now seemed to be fixed on Starlight and it seemed to see the hero again, though no sounds came from again. With this lull in the combat a form of silence descended on the office. With this quiet moment the only sound that could be heard was the quiet whimpering of the man and the sound of the struggle going on outside the office.
  25. Toughness Save 1d20+10-2=28, Grapple Roll 1d20+21=28. 19 - Assistant - Bruised x 2, Blinded (+0) - GM 16 - Starlight - Unharmed - 2hp 14 - Synth - Dazed - 1hp Against Dazzle 1d20+7=27, so it's fine. To attempt to escape grapple 1d20+21=29. So another Grapple roll from Synth and then Starlight.
