  1. Even as SUpercape works the classic "surrender and you might get off easy approach, Victory looks a bit more stern. He walks up to their leader and grabs him by the collar of his power suit. He was a little ticked that his armor got scuffed from that shot, and he'd make sure the leader and his whole group would get their just desserts. "Sorry, but not even the courts are gonna be able to save you from this one. Stealing AEGIS property and using it to hold up a bank. Where a civilian had to get sent to the hospital. Violently resisting arrest. Betraying government intelligence. You and your little band of traitors are gonna be locked up for a long time, Davinport." As he begins to pull them away, he turns to the others who helped stop the robbery. "Gentlemen, you were all a great help. I'm sure I can convince my superiors to make sure you'll all see some fashion of reward for your actions today." He reaches down and hefts Davinport, still inside the hefty power armor, on to his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. "If you don't mind, can I get a hand bringing this scum outside?"
  2. Victory nodded and shook her hand, a polite smile on his lips, being careful to keep his strength in check. Well, that was certainly a more enjoyable conversation than he'd had since he got here, that much was for sure. He did wonder what she had meant with that little slip of the tongue, though. "A pleasure. I'm sure we'll speak again sometime." Dr Volk, as well, bid her goodbye. "Good luck to you. I do like seeing young minds with such promise." After she left, Victory and Dr. Volk spoke to each other in a quiet tone, about as close to whisper to still allow them to hear each other. "What do you think, Doctor?" Dr. Volk looks a bit more serious. "I can tell just by how she examined you. She's got quite a lot to go for her." "And about her little slip of the tongue?" Dr. Volk is quiet for a moment, then looks up at Victory. "...You know what I'm going to say." Victory nods, and the two go on to more meet-and-greet.
  3. The little slip of the tongue gets Victory's attention, his eyebrow raising in a moment of confusion. But he doesn't pursue it. Dr. Volk, for her part, is answering the questions of another guest who had approached her. But Victory just waves his suspicion off for a second. "It's quite a thrill, I have to admit. Apparently Dr. Volk and her team are trying to get it even higher. I just hope I'll be able to handle it..." Hearing her question, though, Victory's face gets a bit more serious. Looking down at his mechanical arm, he curls his fingers into a fist a few times and takes a deep breath, letting it out before he speaks, his voice lowered as well. "It's....very different. I don't really know any way to describe it. It's like....the parts are there, but they're not. The parts are advanced enough that I can feel through them just as well as my real parts could, but...it's not quite the same. But the power they give? It's a totally different experience. Leaning how to control the output was probably the hardest part."
  4. It's so nice when October just starts. Not so hot to be uncomfortable, and not as cold as the months to come. Just right, a lot of the time. Not to mention all the colors the trees begin to turn. Victory was taking a moment in his patrol to look down at the tree tops of Freedom City with a smile. While he loved the sky more than anything, he had to admit that the ground can hold a beauty all its own, as well.
  5. Sure, they hit him, but I'll be damned if these goons are gonna actually damage him! Toughness Save (1d20+10=28) See?
  6. Victory can't say that he's not used to having people poking, prodding, and gawking at individual parts. It tends to happen almost daily. It is a bit odd for it to be happening in a library by someone not a part of the Project, but he plays it cool. Using the hand not holding the helmet, he strokes his chin. "Hmmm...I don't know the exact numbers. What was I getting up to on the tests, Dr.?" Dr. Volk grins a bit, as she did like putting out the numbers. "Well, in terms of pure top speed, at full thrust he's managed to go upwards of 200,000 mph, although he normally keeps his speed at around 50,000 mph. He can potentially go beyond even those speeds, but we put a limit on it, as anything more would begin to damage him. It is possible for him to go past that, but it has to be the absolute most dire need."
  7. Victory's mood perked up a bit when one of the younger people there got an interest in him. Many of the people around were people Dr. Volk had known for years, and many of whom were quite a bit older than he. Not all, of course. Quite a few of the people here were quite young, as well. Something that Victory had noted as a bit odd when he came in. When the young lady commented on his name, he smiled, and took his helmet in one hand, tipping it like an old-fashioned gentleman would with his hat. He didn't have a problem with showing his whole face like most supers do. "Why thank you, Miss. I do my best to live up to it." Dr. Volk smirked at that, and give Victory a pat on his silver-and-blue shoulder. "Indeed you do, Victory. Although I do wish you'd have your smile on more while we're here." Victory gave the smallest of chuckles. "I'll try, Doctor. You know how I am in enclosed spaces." He had Volk noticed how intently the young woman was studying, and Victory watched, with his helmet now tucked under his arm. "Yes, it's pretty complex. It takes the maintenance crew quite a while to finish my regular check-ups, since they have to test every individual part on me, because it has to be absoloutely precise. And as you can see....." When she was clear from getting hit by it, Victory's lip curls into more of a smirk, and he lets out his boosters, hatches opening throughout his body, jets protruding from the new openings. He doesn't turn them on, because he didn't want to risk setting anything or anyone ablaze, but he's certainly much more...vast-looking...with them all out. "....there are quite a few parts."
  8. Clearly she's SO good at Researching things that she can actually break the game's rules with it!
  9. Oh by the way, if anyone needs the stats or bio for Dr. Volk, they're on page 52 of Agents of Freedom. Basically, she's wicked smart with a whole bunch of Knowledge and Craft skills.
  10. Sounds like some good old-fashioned silliness. Victory's down if there's room enough.
  11. Dr. Volk had attended so many "meetings of the minds" that this was second nature to her. A number of the folks that were invited were people she already knew, as she went around shaking hands and catching up. Victory stayed close, keeping a straight face all the time. It was a bit tough for him to relax in here. It was too crowded. Too cramped. Not something he's fond of. But he tried to keep his face neutral, and be ready to introduce himself. He knew part of the reason why he was brought here was as a demonstration. But he wasn't quite sure how he should react among these people. With each person she greeted, Dr. Volk would give a brief introduction for Victory, explaining his function, throwing out some numbers, the whole lot. Victory, for his part, wasn't really listening to the specifics. He was more interested in looking about the room. Keeping his eyes open. Maybe he'll see an occassion to say something more than "Hello."
  12. It seemed as though things were under control enough that it was clear for him to evacuate the citizen. While, of course, defeating his target is his mission, first priority is always to ensure the safety of innocents. Moving quickly, Victory breaks off from the battle to grab the woman from under the rubble and get her outside as swiftly as he could. It seemed the ambulance was already there. Good. Then she'll get immediate attention. He brings her there, and speaks with the paramedics. "This woman was struck by a part of the ceiling. She's unconscious, but breathing. Get her out of here. We'll make sure you won't need to carry anyone else out." With a quick salute, he turns back around, heading once more to rejoin the battle.
  13. I guess it comes down to if the ambulance has gotten there yet. If so, he'll just drop her off. If not, he'll spend an action to tell someone to watch her. He had called for an ambulance earlier over the radio.
  14. Unlike many of the other guests, AEGIS Technology head Dr. Doris Volk did not come by herself. As the rather plain, but incredibly intelligent woman makes her way inside, draped in her labcoat with the AEGIS logo stitched into it, another large form follows behind, making some rather heavy steps, which can be heard, at least faintly, throughout the library. Of course, the one making them doesn't walk all that much, so it's not something heard as often. In his full battle-gear, albeit with the leg and arm jets contained within (his V-booster out and prominent, however), walks Victory, AEGIS' most recently rolled-out super project. He looks a little bit uncomfortable as he walks. Not due to being nervous or anything, although it is a bit odd for him to be here, at least in his mind, but due to the fact that he knows he'll have to be on the ground for a while. Not something he's a big fan of. But he stays close behind Dr. Volk, accompanying her both as a bodyguard and to show the fruits of AEGIS' labors to the other great minds collected here.
  15. How many actions would it take for victory, at his speed (if I switch back to Flight 12) to grab the injured lady, get her out to the outside where someone can help her until an ambulance gets there, and get back inside?

  17. Haha. I don't think he'd mind too much. It might be odd at first for him, but I think he'd take it as a compliment! He's not exactly the shy type.
  18. Would it be possible to have Victory working security? With a big "meeting of the minds", I would think that Dr. Volk (head of AEGIS Technologies Station. Agents of Freedom page 52) would attend, and would bring Victory with her not just to keep watch, but also to show off the results of her division's work.
  19. The guy's partner doesn't seem to be faring much better. After an initial smack from Victory to knock him off balance, he follows up, putting even more force into this hit. He doesn't want to destroy the armor, but it seems unavoidable to at least do some damage. And that means he'd have to put this guy down ASAP. And the easiest way to do that is shaking the brain inside the skull. Even if he didn't hit through the armor, the sheer force of the hit would surely knock his head all around. Not to mention sending him hurtling into the wall, smashing into it with a loud CRUNCH, and leaving one hell of a crack, although he doesn't go through it, parts of the wall cacked on to his back as he falls prone. As it hits, the momentum moves the sight out of the corner of his eye a bit, where he spots a woman knocked on to the ground, under a bit of rubble. Eyes widening a bit, he takes the moment that his target reels from the hit to send in a call "Dispatch! Get an ambulance sent to my location ASAP! We've got a civilian down!"
  20. Alright. I'm gonna go for the one that is NOT stunned and staggered, since that one won't be doing anything this turn anyway. Might as well try to get the one with just the 1 bruise down just as much. Strike at the Bruise 1 Enemy. (1d20+5=12) Phew. Close, but that is a hit. Toughness DC 35 for this hit due to Power Attack. Also, my defense is down to 5 next turn from All-Out Attack.
  21. Pretty simple one. Just picking up feats I had to drop during creation. I'd to use my 3 points to add Quick Change, All-Out Attack, and bump his Evasion up to Evasion 2. Doktor'd
  22. Admittedly, Victory felt a bit awkward sitting on the log with his body the way it is. And it probably isn't helping with his helmet on. Lifting up, he removes his helmet, letting his hair get open to the air, which is something he wishes he could do while flying, to be honest. Putting his helmet on his knee, he rests his arm on it. Reaching up to ruffle his hair a bit, he looks to Momentum again. "Momentum, huh? Fitting. They call me Victory. At least when I'm on-duty. And no need to thank me. If you weren't there, too, one of them probably would've gotten too far away to find again." Unlike most heroes, he really doesn't mind letting his face being fully exposed. AEGIS, while not advertising his real name or anything, doesn't try to cover it up, either. He shifts a bit where he sits, then lets himself relax, the sounds of gears throughout his body downshifting can be heard very slightly. "Do your parents know? If they do, I'm sure they'd understand. If not, I could either go with you or send some agents with you. Give them a cover-story. I'm sure once they see someone with this..." He opens his hand, and a holographic projection the shape of the AEGIS shield hovers in front of his palm. "...then they probably won't get mad. They'll probably just be happy you're safe." He thinks a moment, then gives a slight chuckle. "Or maybe you'd rather not have us bring you to your home. Privacy and all."
  23. Victory closed his eyes and let out a sigh of relief. Good, the kid's fine. And as he listens, he realizes just how hard he must've hit that punk. Thinking about it a moment, he radios in. "Did you manage to get signs on the perp? I knocked him pretty far...." He waits for a moment as the dispatch voice checks in with the recovery team that was sent to intercept, and Victory sighs again, smiling and giving the kid a pat on the shoulder. "They had charted out the trajectory he was gonna get sent from my hit. They had a team there catch him. He won't be getting up anytime soon, but he's alive. I think he and his buddy are gonna have a lot of time to think about just what a mistake they've made." Turning his boosters off (which is not something he willingly does too often), his heavy body sinks to the ground, and he turns to sit on a log near the kid hero. "That was impressive how you kept with him so well. From what HQ told me, you guys were all over the place. What do you call yourself?"
  24. Just for kicks, here's the recoil damage Toughness from Slam recoil (1d20+9=27)
  25. Even before the radio finishes sending Victory their message, he's already there. His jets screech with unreal power as the silver-and-blue streak leaves the sound far behind, the v-shape of his flight able to be seen far, far behind him. Crossing multiple state lines in a flash, the mechanical soldier finds his target, as he grits his teeth, pushing himself and readying for impact. He sees the rough situation ahead, and rears his arm back. Before anyone but him could register what was happening, Nitro is knocked out of sight, as Victory's momentum slams into him, the incredible force shaking the woods around them, blowing the leaves off the closest trees. As he knocks Nitro away, Victory immediately rushes to check on the young hero. He looked in bad shape, but conscious. Offering a hand to help him up, Victory smiles in relief. "Hey there, kid. You alright?"
