  1. Im sorry Dok... the Asteroid is 18.91 Miles Away.... What? No, of course its more than adequate!
  2. `Monologue complication! Its not worth an HP however as its not really any disadvantage
  3. Supercape had no idea if the blob was sentient, but first things first. No life was in immediate danger as far as he could see (although they might change soon when the blob consumed the city... or even the planet) so he may as well try to communicate on the off chance. "*Ahem*" he coughed as loudly as possible whilst floating next to the thing. "We come in peace... errr... welcome to Planet Earth. Umm... we ask only that you are selective in your consumption of matter, particularly organic matter..."
  4. I think immunity to interaction effects (Bluff and Intimidate) costs 5 PP which sounds about right (also protecting you against the demoralisation effect). However it dosent protect against acrobatic bluff. (I suppose you could buy immunity to that but its not listed...) The only really surefire way is to rack up sense motive as high as possible (and its not surefire), maybe with Second chance feat. Off topic but thats how I see it.
  5. "Hmmm" muttered Rene studying the rune for some time. "Simple, but powerful" was his comment after squinting and prodding. "Which sums up your magic, too. To be honest, its very powerful. More powerful than me. And more powerful than you, perhaps, the container". He walked a bit lost in thought "but perhaps we should study this further. I imagine both of us would rest more easy if we knew more about it, non?"
  6. Bonfire ... no... Smoke still lingers though. I was thinking more of backing into the smouldering remains. And yes, that is a crritical hit. So its a DC 27 Toughness ROll, he is Bruised once so only +4 TOughness 1d20+4=15 Which is a fail by 12. Bruised, Stunned, Staggered. At this point however, I will handwave as he is effectively out for the count. Feel free to post with full control over how you take him down!
  7. "Er... yes... that's right!" said Supercape, mortified at his entrance. He stood up promptly and in an instant his Cape reformed into its sparkling best. "Thanks awfully for cleaning up. Good job, that man!" he gave the man a thumbs up and he flew off in the direction the Janitor had indicated.
  8. The leader was tough, and fast, and no pushover. Although Jubatus' claws ripped through his leather jacket, drew blood and winded the man, he only staggered back and grimaced. "You'll pay for that" he shouted, unleashing blast after blast from the souped up shotgun as he walked backwards towards the bonfire in the middle of the room.
  9. A hit!!! 1d20+5=21 Bruised! Anarchist staggers back and moves to the flames as a move action, firing again as a standard action. As Jube is so hard to hit, he is going to shift +2 Attack, -2 Damage. 1d20+8=10 But to no avail! For the next round: The smoke is sufficient to cause partial concealment, meaning a 17-20 roll will mean a miss. However, I note that Jubatus has tactile motion senses (which are accurate) so he can ignore this! If only the boss knew that, eh?
  10. Cant take 10 as not a minion! you will probabbly hit anyway but could you roll?
  11. IM pretty sure fearless only works vs fear - not intimidate (which would be immunity to interactions), but its academic anyway and you survive the uppercut!
  12. The dancing, ginger haired drug dealer ducked under the distortion, only raising his eyebrow at the young heroine's technological powers. "Nice guns you have their Missy, think I'll take em! and take em I will!" He bobbed and weaved a few steps through the spectral hands and writhing bodies, and suddenly appeared before Dragonfly with a menacing glare. This was only to distract her from his rapidly rising right fist, adorned with an iron knuckleduster, that crashed into the young woman without mercy. "Me Mam told me never to hit girls" he laughed. "But me Dad told me never to listen to me Mam!"
  13. And so Knuckles is up, retaliating against 'Fly Move Action: Startle Intimidate Standard Action: Power Attack Fists: -4 Attack, +4 Damage (+6 Attack, DC 23 Toughness) Resolving the Startle first 1d20+10=11 heh... well, its Will or Sense Motive to counter. 1d20+6=25 for the attack! Just off a crit...phew! I think that hits irrespective of whether the Startle works?
  14. Unfortunately not, he has a defence of 10! Also, he has elusive target, so without precise shot firing into him with this melee is at -8!
  15. "" replied Quentin, scratching his chin in a contemplative manner. "" he winked. "
  16. "Blast!" muttered Supercape. He had no doubts about Tarrants intellect or general capability - but he doubted it extended to fighting amorphous blobs of who-knows-what. Assuming that fighting may be necessary. But it may well be dangerous. He ran into the Janitors room and in a blink of an eye changed into Supercape, his costume twinkling magnificently. He ran out again, and promptly slipped over and fell hard on his backside. His huge cape, of course, had managed to get stuck on the Janitors equipment, and was tangled up between a mop and a broom. A loud crashing sound accompanied his ungainly fall.
  17. The ghostly hands were slow but strong, and the terrified throng were in no shape to think about avoiding the spectral grasp of the undead. In fact, it just amplified the fear that could practically be smelled by this point. Only the terrified floozy of Knuckles managed to avoid the grip, probably by luck rather than judgement, along with Knuckles himself, who spat at the limbs and danced over them with the grace of a dancer.
  18. TT, As I see it the TK is ranged but AoE, I'm not exactly sure how that works with the House Rules - I imagine a Reflex roll will half the Grapple bonus.. so here we go... Knuckles 1d20+8=24 and has Evasion 2, so unaffected. Soldiers (1st is not feared) 1d20+1=11, 1d20+1=14, 1d20+1=6 all hit with full effect. Floozy 1d20+1=3 full effect. I will hand wave the civvies (1 male addict, 1 female addict, the Voodoo guy). The unconscious woman on the floor, it is safe to say is also grappled! Grapple checks... 1d20+6=9, 1d20+6=13, 1d20+6=16 ok so the first is grappled, the other two are pinned. Not bad! Floozy: 1d20+4=20 runs off!
  19. "Students?" gasped Quentin "but... but they could be in grave danger then!" he spluttered. There was no mistaking the urgency now. He had to transform into Supercape as soon as possible! at least Tarrant was leaving. He tugged at Tarrants arm as he tried to leave "Where are they? I need to sa... errr.. I need to satisfy myself that they are safe..." His eyes darted around and saw a janitors cupboard. That would do, once he found out where those students were...
  20. Rene nodded sagely. "A powerful transformation, then. May I look?" he replied, and without waiting for an answer, peered at the offending article. "And tell me, is the transformation physical only, or does it affect your... spirit, shall we say? I have seen magic before that unleashes the temperament of the beast as well as its claws and fangs... and sometimes the unleashed beast is difficult to control. We all have La bête dans, Monsieur. In some of us, it is strong and fierce indeed!" His eyes seemed to scrutinise Marcus carefully, although not without kindness behind them.
  21. Supercape nodded, impressed, at Marcus' progress. "Good, good, well done, my boy!" he said with encouragement. He was a sturdy character, for sure. He consulted the training manual and the computer readouts. "Watch out for any hazards, though. The simulation has put in some crevasses, which may be snow covered. Watch your step!"
  22. Heh, nice! you make it... well, if not safely (fluff up the perils, of course!) but without harm!
  23. Quentin set up his bicycle next to the Library and took a look at his watch. Good timing he realised. The ride had been of moderate length, and he was sweating lightly from the exertion. Fortunately his quantum-lattice costume never showed any sweat patches, and remained resolutely pristine in the shape of a fine Tweed Jacket, bow tie, and shirt. He wandered into the Library feeling right at home. The library had always been his friend, right since childhood, and he had insisted on a rather antiquated form of one in the Lab. It always suited him - the silence, contemplation, and learning. He spied Etain and gave her a friendly wave, making sure he didn't raise his voice when he spoke to her. " He had grown accustomed to speaking in Latin to Etain. Mainly because her mastery of it was so good, that he felt he could brush up on his own rather rusty skill in the language.
  24. "Goodness!" proclaimed Quentin, who had rolled back into a lab chair and still sat prostrate from the events. His mind raced. He had no idea what the blob was, whether it was malign, benign, or just confused. Was it even sentient? What he did know was that he would far rather sort this out as Supercape rather than Professor Quill. On the other hand, Tarrant's expertise was likely invaluable! He looked at the professor in shock "errr... any suggestions as to what exactly that was?" he asked.
