  1. John scowled slightly when he was left from the assault list for the underground site. "Since the objective is to take this underground bunker intact, the ideal entry methods would be breaching it from the sides or underneath via a tunnel. The inhabitants are likely prepared for a direct frontal assault or using a demo charge from above." He tuned to Gaian Knight. "How large of a complex are we potentially dealing with? Depending on size, depth, and internal structure; anyone who went would could be potentially stepping into a killbox regardless of breaching point."

The clone found the nearest space of unoccupied wall and leaned against it. "Whatever we decide, I will go along with the plan. Даже еÑли мой помощь параде по Ñтому вопроÑу." The remainder of that statement was directed at Comrade Frost.

  2. The eerie sensation of familiarity that John knew the white Russian came back, and it appeared to be mutual judging by the mans behavior. He decided to ask the man later, the important thing was for now to focus on the current situation. He had set the android duplicate of Orion the Hunter down on a table and stepped back to let the expert have a better look. The Claremonter was quite impressed with rapidity and speed of Voltages' acquisition of the transmitting array for these androids. Which left him with an observation.

"I am not an expert in these things, but this unknown signal is more than likely a monitoring device or comm channel. When the duplicate of Star Knight was contained, it activated a scuttling charge and destroyed itself." Myrmidon pointed at the deactivated android. "This one eventually figured out my intention was to disable it instead of damaging it, the android changed tactics and became even more aggressive in attempts to avoid capture. I estimate that these duplicates know their true nature as saboteurs as it would explain their penchant for collateral damage: as a terror tactic to sow chaos and confusion."

the clone hero moved over to study Gaian Knights' map. "Which makes it more like a diversionary tactic than a tactical strike, looking at the data so far."

  3. Myrmidon cocked his head at the man in white, a feeling that he knew him personally somehow when he had never met the man before. Brushing it off as nothing he adjusted the robot duplicate of Orion on his shoulder as he followed the others into the elevator, both he and the android trailing water. << Apologies. I submerged the android after disabling it with an electromagnetic pulse in case the self destruct fail-safe activated. >> The resonse was lightly garbled through his masks' external comm-link, and the clone hero knew he would have to spend some time drying it out. Not to mention his waterlogged filters made everything smell like saltwater. Really, who needed a shark tank in a casino of all places?

Sighing at the prospect of hours of maintenance, John collapsed his armors' helmet. After all, the Freedom League already knew his ID as they were the ones that rescued him. "I am curious as to where the true counterparts to these machines are"; the teen said idly as the floor indicators counted down.

  4. Nodding at the heroine as she left, he turned to Gaian Knight. << Self-Termination protocol. Followed by a plasma charge designed to eradicate evidence. Plasma would burn hot enough to disintegrate organic tissue. >> He tossed the armor shard away, standing. << Explains the simultaneous breakouts. If we can capture one of these androids intact it could possibly lead us to the perpetrator or the ones they have replaced. >> He dismissed his weapon which dispersed into a fading blue burst of voxels.

Myrmidon focused on his armor and it reconfigured itself into a sleeker, more aerodynamic version. << I will start searching for an appropriate target of opportunity to disable. Contact me if you are able to locate another of these androids. >> The Claremonter stepped a good distance away from the other hero and faced the sky. Moments later the thrusters in the jet-pack fired and launched the hero skyward out of the hole left in the roof of Freedom hall.

  5. Myrmidon walked over to the plant, knelt, and picked up a shard of armor from the floor. He turned over the warped and blackened armor fragment, investigating each side. << Odd. Fragmentation pattern and debris as presented indicates a concussive detonation, burn marks evidence incendiary explosive. >> He felt he was missing something, John knew, as he wracked his brain over weapon effects and yields needed to produce a similar results. << Secondary detonation, due to the enclosed space of the containment device? >> Whatever it was, it had annihilated a suit of alien battle-armor and its wearer with energy to spare.

  6. << Tibial Shaft Fracture. Avoid jostling the leg. She can be moved safely to the MEDEVAC now. >> The Helmeted hero intoned to to the two teenage girls flanking a third, who had a makeshift field-splint supporting to her broken leg after being administered painkillers. He was about to move onto the next casualty when Fleurs' message came in over his comm, immediately responding to the message. << Roger that, Ma'am. En-route to the location. >> He quickly located the nearest able bodied individual and pointed at the man. << You there. Inform everyone to evacuate to a safe distance. >>

Unslinging the weapon from his shoulder and into his hands, Myrmidon turned and sprinted back into the interior of the Hall.

  7. John managed to extract himself from the crowd of people before he committed a diplomatic faux pas by accidentally dislocating the shoulder of the next person to try and hug him. Thankfully, one of the nearby younger tribeswoman, Naija, was a translator and he managed to negotiate his well wishers down to one-on-one forearm handshakes. Afterwords John had asked if she would mind being his translator while he would be here, seeing as it would be much easier than having to bother everyone whenever he had a question or the like by searching for a translator. She had accepted readily, with the first thing on his agenda was to get a lay of the land which meant a guided tour around the city and its defenses.

Later, John had met with the hunters of the camp, who he had asked to go along with one of their hunts. Naija and the hunters had looked at him like he was mad, stating that they would not want him to get injured. His response was an impromptu demonstration of his technique with their stone-age weapons, from their obsidian knives to their sinew-strung bows. Half-way through he had managed to attract another crowd, who had clapped and cheered. Johns' demonstration having succeeded in his goal of assuring the hunters he could take care of himself, he had been given one of their bows and a quiver of arrows and had spent most of the afternoon quietly stalking prey in the jungle. He had ignored the easy game, tracking down and killing what the locals called a 'long-claw', after which John was beginning to regret his decision as he had to haul his kill all the way back to the town. All in all it was a relaxing day for the teen and to be honest he was looking forward to the feast.

  8. Frowning underneath his helmet at the unknown time-frame for restraining Star Knight, he nearly snapped to attention once the woman started giving out orders. When she was finished he answered. << Understood, Ma'am. I am trained in field medicine and will stabilize the casualties who can survive. >> The clone had began extracting his first aid supplies located in one of his various compartments strapped to his armor.

<< I would recommend reinforcing the structure as well, if that is within you or your companions means. >> The Claremonter turned to start his search pattern for survivors. << Please call if your require further assistance. There may be other compromised Freedom League members present. My comm-link frequency is currently on the emergency band, as I will be directing the SAR efforts.>> Myrmidon headed out in the direction of the main foyer of Freedom Hall, knowing that the largest concentration of injured or trapped civilians would likely be in that location.

  9. the super-soldiers eyes narrowed as he watched the trio, as they were not behaving as if mentally compromised. Deciding to trust his instincts Myrmidon moved out of cover from behind them and addressed the shorter woman who had captured the rogue super with a plant of all things. << Emergency Services are en-route. >>

His stance was wary with his weapon at rest but able to be used at a moments notice. << Will your containment vessel hold? The other members of the League are unaccounted for thus far. >> To the others, he seemed unconcerned to the death and destruction that lie in this place with his focus firmly on them.

  10. Move: Taking a 10 using Skill Mastery on stealth, for a total of a DC 29 total stealth check.

Standard: then he'll use his Tech Augmentation to make:

Stun 8 "Arc Thrower" (Extras: Ranged +1, PF: Improved Critical 1 [19-20]) [25 PP]

He'll try and stay in cover and see how things go.

  11. Myrmidon skulked through a half-collapsed corridor in Freedom Hall, heading toward the faint voices. A vague sense of déjà vu hit him as he realized that he had done this before. The clone hero had recalled his SHADOW handlers combat scenario, a terror mission with the secondary objectives of assassination of any League targets of opportunity. John allowed himself a smug grin of satisfaction of his original training being subverted yet once again, even as he knew the mission survivability rate of the scenario was estimated at 6.5%

The room beyond the corridor had caved in, opening into a larger area open to the sky. Seeing Star Knight there, he ducked behind the remains of a desk and surveyed the scene. Star Knight was currently being accosted by plants. One of them is a Cholokinetic. There were two women present besides Star Knight, one a statuesque redhead and the other a shorter woman wearing a hood. Were they waiting for something? The only other figure was the armored swordsman, who had not drawn his weapon. Odd.

The super-soldier considered his options. Any kinetic weaponry would be dangerous as it could potentially destabilize the structure more. He still needed a weapon, which was quickly rectified via pair of batteries and his abilities. At least two of them were infighting. Which meant it would be best to wait for either party to incapacitate the other and then move in. However, he did not know if the other supers present were afflicted like whichever two were fighting as the three appeared to be watching the confrontation. The enemy of my enemy is my enemys' enemy. Nothing more, nothing less. As the saying went. It was not a great plan, but John admitted to himself that he was better off taking a wait and see approach as to blitzkrieging his way into multiple hostiles firefight.

  12. If he was asked, John would have stated that felt a little put out that they were using rope bridges instead of bushwhacking their way to their location. When the times the Jungle Lord sensed the predator and ordered them to stand down, the clone hero already had a combat knife in hand and ready to use as he watched the sauropod pass by the group. He was still taking up the rear and letting the others ahead of him, content to keep an eye out for dangers behind the group.

Upon arrival at Zandars' capital, John looked warily at the vines the Jungle Lord had used and decided not to test their tensile strength and merely walked off the bridge. He landed on his feet, his legs easily taking the brunt of the impact as he then walked to remaining distance to where the Jungle Lord and his classmates were.

  13. John turned to the man wearing the smilodon helmet, after having heard the tree creak slightly under his weight. He supposed that he should thank Morgan for that little bit of awareness, stepping aside to let the man address the four of them. The Claremonter returned the handshake, while filing away the fact that serpent people or a sub-species thereof lived here that were as dangerous as their kin. As the others made their introductions he grabbed his rucksack and took a rearguard position at the back of the line as the famed Jungle Lord led them into his domain.

The vista that was their introduction to the Lost World was certainly impressive, it was the other senses that appealed to John. There were noises he couldn't identify coming from the dark confines of the jungle, and the air itself almost seemed ancient as the other jungles he had been in were pale imitations of this ancient land. He was brought out of his introspection by Zandars' declaration and proffering of his weapon. An accord then. Taking off his sunglasses, John gripped the haft of the spear and met the gaze of the Jungle Lord. "My word is my bond. I will not dishonor your hospitality."

  14. Myrmidon stood out of the way as the security officer shepherded his charges away from the weakened structure and made sure that all of nearby civilians were away while tapping into the local police and emergency band.

<< Myrmidon to any available responders. Reporting multiple civilian casualties in Freedom Hall, in addition to significant structural damage from ongoing meta-human threat. I need immediate med-evac for the critical wounded and cordon set up to clear the nearby buildings. Be aware that suspect has been identified as Star-Knight of the Freedom League, any further contact with any other League Members should be approached with caution. I repeat, Star-Knight has gone rogue. >>

He repeated the message twice, before turning and stalking into the ruins of Freedom Hall acutely aware that he might be facing multiple hostiles in the form of the Freedom League.

  15. Johns blue eyes gazed out from behind his ubiquitous sunglasses as he kept an eye on the jungle while periodically checking on the other Claremonters. While technically not the oldest here, he was the senior student and he took the responsibility seriously especially since there was a student he was unfamiliar with present. The clone hero was unsurprisingly well prepared for the excursion, his clothing more along the lines of a game warden or great white hunter of old. Dark khaki cargo pants disappeared into combat boots, while a similarly colored hunting vest lay unbuckled over a light brown polo shirt. Completing the ensemble was a dark brown bush hat and fingerless shooting gloves with his only supplies packed in a light rucksack at his feet.

He had his own motivations for applying to this trip, namely wanting to improve his SERE skills and to hopefully pick up some tricks of the trade from a master survivalist. He had found normal camping quite boring, and the fact of potentially deadly wildlife only made John more excited about going. This of course was not lost on his friend Morgan and the other Irregular had used the excuse to marathon all of the Jurassic Park movies before John left on the trip. To the others currently nearby, John still had the professional and watchful demeanor he was well known for but here their serious classmate almost looked...relaxed.

  16. John had just looked at his watch and noted he was ahead of schedule for his appointment when what appeared to be another mundane day in Freedom City apparently had decided to become interesting.

The Claremonter paused for the barest of seconds as he surveyed in the carnage before breaking into a full dash towards the now crumbling edifice of Freedom Hall. Passing through a thick cloud of debris from the falling masonry, he activated his armor and Myrmidon emerged fully clad on the other side of the cloud. Needing more intelligence on the developing situation, the teen began a sensor sweep of the nearby police and civilian radio bands for more information as he vaulted the crumpled remains of what used to be a stone bench.

The clone hero slowy but surely made headway through the panicked crowd as he advanced towards the nearest staffer. << Sitrep. How many more are inside? >> Myrmidon asked the disheveled staffer, the modulated tones of his external comm-link cutting above the din.
