  1. The stick thrower defeated, laying limp upon the ground, gave Je'la a feeling of satisfaction. She sought to lay low her last opponent with a single punch. But his awakword stumblings after her toss made him a difficult target, and her fist struck nothing but air
  2. Je'la shrugged "Earth-people food is strange tasting. Je'La dose not find it as enjoyable as food on home-sphere" She answered. She found earth food tasted like chemicals, dripping unnatural substances and slime, not at all like the taste of freash meat from a successful hunt, or the sweetness of handpicked vegtables. As far as Je'La could tell, earth people actually liked spraying their meals with gunk. How they haddned poisend their race to death was a question Je'La couldnt answer.
  3. "Superheroics, though a useful part of the leagle process, is not a path I forsee myself following as a carriear" Sarah answered. "I feel my calling to help humanity is in a less obvious feild, applying my abilities to work in the intellectual sectors of development."
  4. Sarah considered the matter over again, struggling to reach a decision. She had calculated the trajectory of the first moments of the universe, described pi to one hundred and forty trillion decimal places (and counting), and yet faced a problem for which all her brainpower might as well have counted for not. And that was deciding what to wear. The lunch engagement was a chance to assemble some of the most brilliant minds under one roof for the goal of humanity’s betterment. An engagement which she was looking forward to with great excitement. One which she hoped would go well. At last she decided on a red blouse over which she donned an graphite blazer. Adding a pencil skirt and dress shoes, she felt that she adequately fulfilled the social doctrine for the event. Arriving at the meeting hall which had been reserved, Sarah observed that she was in fact not the first to arrive, finding herself third present. Already, Daedalus And Dr. Archville had arrived. A smalll twitch, something reminecent of a smile, momentarly appeared on her face. These were her people. "Salutations Gentlmen, its a pleasure to meet both of you in person. I've read much of your wkors. Very intresting. Im glad you could attend. Social tact indicates introductions to be a requisit, so as to appeal to that, I'm known nomitavly as Dr. Sarah May Brown" She did the little twitch like smile again.
  5. no, thanks, thats all I needed.
  6. Well Ok, Prodigy has quickness 20, and with the super memory benefit, she cna use herself as a library for knowledge checkes. So if I take 20, I should be able to get at least a 31 in any given knowledge check. So since she does it 5 million times faster, I should be able to take 20 on multiple knowledge checks, right? Following with that, I'll take 20 on Knowledge (current events) knowledge (history) and knowledge (technology), getting a 31, 33 and 33 respectivly.

Sarah watched Darian, her eyes disecting him at a glance, like she could see all the layers of his psyche. He wasnt comfortable with her. Of course he wasnt. no one ever way. He wears the mask of one who dosnt wish to be rude, but its just a transparent vail. He says its nice to meet her, but it dosnt make her feel more welcome. She accepts his handshake, her grip weak and delicate, almost etherial. "If possible I'd like to speak with the headmaster and complete registration here. After that, I'd like to view the schools facilities. I apologise for making you nervious, I do not try to do so"
  8. Ok, going to make a knowledge check to see what Prodigy knows about Daedalus. Should I use history, technology, or something else?
  9. Prodigy confirms her commitment to the team.
  10. Je'la listended to the explination of how the silvery disk created music. It got on her nerves a little, having to ask all these questions. Things which should be obious no longer made sense. She was lost in unfamiliar terretory. On her home, even when outside her tribes hunting grounds, at least she knew how to survive. What to eat, how to hunt. Here, she has none of those advantages. It made her feel very stupid. The music, if she could even call it that, was full of strange sounds. The singer was speaking words to fast for her to keep up. It made her head spin a little. "Earth music is...different" She commented. "Much here is...different"
  11. So his powers are comparable to those attributed to the natural abilties of the Gekkonidae genus. Sarah thought to herself. She didnt mind him reading over her shoulder. Unless he had an advanced post graduate degree, it wouldnt likely mean much to him. "Yes, I am relitivly new. I arrived here 608647 seconds ago. So your hypothis is accurate, and we have not yet met eachother. My name is Sarah." Though she was trying her best, she still came of sounding very distant and aloof.
  12. Sarah blinked, scanning over the pages again "Yes, that is correct." She was slightly suprised that he was familiar with the van der Waals force generated by uneven charge distrubituon accrost a solid. But she didnt show it. "My abilities are mental in nature, but pretaine to enhanced nerual efficiency and capacity. Telekinetic manipulation of matter is mearly an offshoot of that."
  13. Sarah looked up at the young man addressing her. He appeared to be holding an encyclopedia of reptiles, Sarah recaled having memorized its contents and from that guaged he was currently reading the entry on Gecko's. He also was desplaying basic facial expressions indicating suprise. Sarah nodded in reply to his question "Yes, I am. I find it relaxing to distract myself by rereading texts." She explained. Her gaze returned to the books, all of which turned their pages at the same time, moved by nothing more than the concentrated exertion of her willpower. "I'd recomend a more up to date reading if your intrested in geckos. Several studies into their ability to clind to surface have yeilded intresting results."
  14. April 5th, midday Geckoman and Prodigy Meet at Clarmont Gekkonidae Sapian & Libra Nematoda
  15. Sarah sat outside the library, a collection of books sprawled out before her, her eyes scanning the pages, soaking it in. Where as many people would find trying to intake so many different books all at once to be impossible, to her it was no more challenging than reading a single document. Her mind proccessed all the data at once and still had room to spare. She'd been at the school for a week now, and signs had been mixed. On the whole, the students and staff here were no more akin to here than a fruit tree had in common with a fruit fly. She resolved to be patient however, beliving that there was at least some promise of pleasent social behavior.
  16. Je'La wasnt going to be easily cought again. The Scar covered warrior's fancy manuverings fooled her once, but Not this time Seeing the spear throwing opponent nearby, Je'la gave a mighty heave and tossed her opponent at his ally. Her aim was spot on and the two warriors struck.

  19. Je'La was struck hard by the cared warrior. And she smiled. This was her element. Suddenly in no longer mattered which planet she was on, because the brutal act of combat was one which trancended the gulf of space. She swung hard, but Missed her mark.

Journal entry March 31, 2009: 955AM, EST I have been alive for 477,104,556 seconds at time of writing Received request from psychiatrists today, requesting I begin keeping a journal. This marks the second time they have attempted to have me do this. First attempt met with failure, method of writing indecipherable. They had requested a desire to understand my thoughts, and So I had presented my thought process to the group as best I could. Of my former group of psychologists, 80% have quit, 10% had a nervous breakdown and now has retired, I sent him a apology card; and the remaining 10% abandoned the attempt after 167 hours of study. I felt sad for them, pouring so hard over the documents I’d provided, as if there were some great truth there. But there wasn’t, just a log of the days events. Upon telling them this, they gave up, disheartened. When I was told today that they’d like for me to try again at a journal, I acted surprised. I knew that they would. Their naked greed as they watch me is so clear on their faces that at times it makes me feel ill. I do not trust them, as they care very little for my own well being, each of them to see me as a many faceted puzzle, one which they will not rest until they have solved. To my handlers, I am not a person. I do not like them for this. This new journal came with the request of filtering it down to a more manageable form. Is that what I have become then? My own perspective so incomprehensible that I must grind it down to its most raw unformatted version in order to be understood? I know the answer to that question, even though I would wish otherwise. Received news briefing today from Pentagon, confirming my earlier prediction regarding infiltration into classified records. Three men were captured, the fourth killed. They expressed there gratitude for the forewarning. I smile, telling them it was nothing, since the captured agents will be dead by 11 AM tomorrow morning and will not have revealed there employers identity by then. In doing so, I know I’ve arranged their own execution. Their interrogation will escalate rapidly, trying to get the information they don’t have out of them. Torture will be used, and ultimately result in there own deaths at 8:12, 8: 56 and 10:51 respectively. Some would call my choice heartless. Perhaps they are right. But I’ve granted these men a few additional hours of life. Had I said that they don’t know anything, they would have been executed. I am confident this is the case. The choice between a quick death and a few hours was not easy. I would like to tell them I am sorry, but I am not. This fact disturbs me greatly. I have shaped the course of four men’s lives and done so with a callous indifference. Perhaps in seeing the entire interconnected web of events, I’ve lost the ability to see the value of each component. I fear I am becoming something monstrous. And I have no idea how to stop myself.
