  1. Thyr Accidentally striking Onyx Woman: 1d20+12 29 Beats her AC by 4, raising the DC +2. Making this an impossible save. DC 25 Toughness: 1d20+3 23 "Fate intervenes to spare the character from otherwise certain doom." Injured (-1 versus lethal saves), Bruised again (-2 versus non-lethal saves) @EviscerusNox. Do the thing. @Heritage. When you get the chance, do the thing. That will be your new initiative.
  2. Miracle Girl's performance was just as Yasmin thought it would be. Though really, the song was funny for the setting they were in. Again, Yasmin maybe caught a few words and bopped along with the beat. She really wanted to sing, but hero appreciation night was something for heroes. Still, she wanted to show appreciation. So she walked up to the stage, looked around - no one else was near it - and picked up the mic. "Hey folks," she waved, "I'm Yasmin. And I'd like to thank every one for coming out tonight. Our heroes deserve it!" She poked around with the machine a bit to find the song she wanted, "On top of the heroes I appreciate tonight," she pointed out the costumed individuals and called a few of them by name for what she knew. "I'm celebrating my birthday with you folks. Twenty-three. Wouldn't have it any other way." She heard 'happy birthday' and few whistles, also 'just sing!' The song started up, Yasmin did a few small bounces to the intro beat and began singing. She made a little show of it. Encouraging people to clap during the chorus, she got a few to do so! The four minutes was energetic as she could, strutting across the stage, swaying to the beat, dancing around, and generally having a good old time like the song would suggest! The song ended with a drop to her knees, "come on!" she finished the lyrics. Looking around she clapped for the crowd, "thank you too!" Getting down she went back to her tea. She did have the stamina for the whole thing, but right now she was parched.
  3. They did eventually get the smudge off her body after a while, cleaning up after that. She didn't bring a hair tie or a change of clothes. After drying off - which was easy enough with a guy who could heat his breath - she scurried around the place to retrieve her pants, shirt, and shoes. "I'll come back for the art later," she nodded towards it as she got dressed. She playfully tossed her hair a bit in front of him. "Sure," she said, "bike ride would be much more fun than what I had in mind." she began to glow a soft golden aura and her eyes to match.from her hand, a marble archway appeared and through the door was the place Max had seen so many times before, Morley's. Before he could touch it it disappeared as did Moira's golden aura. She smirked, "besides, you can never ride too many hogs in your life."
  4. Moira felt good that Max felt comfortable to open himself up to her like this. "Not going anywhere until morning," she pointed to the night sky through the curtain. It was technically early morning. She enjoyed her time with Max, slinking back into his arms and giving him a soft kiss on the lips. She sighed happily and let him moment hang there, cuddling with him. "About that tattoo though," she said breaking the silence, "we'll wash it off and try again." She looked up at him seeing his reaction. "I really don't know the proper procedure when it comes to ink. I've only had one other and well, that was 'different'." She referred to her sun tattoo from Apollo on the back of her neck. She perked up again, "how about we get cleaned up and I show you where your new place would be if you decide to take it. Not saying I won't take no for an answer, but I'd at least like to show you what you'd be working with." She rolled on top of his chest, playfully pinning him. "If you don't, well, I have ways." She flashed a mischievous grin.
  5. Yasmin bopped along with the beat of the music. He was quite good for a singer. Not that she had any right to judge. She only mostly hummed or whistled, but tonight she was going to do something fun. Actually sing. She'd wait her turn. There were heroes here. Like her, but more outward. She could talk as The Unicorn, but she was sure they wouldn't let her in with that form. She giggled at the thought of singing. Walking over to the bar she looked at the wall of alcohol and sighed. That wasn't her. She was not about to be a Roman in Rome. "I'll take a tea, with grenadine." She looked over to see Jaden ordering a float. She liked the earthy tones. She wore them during winter, not so much outside of it. The bartender handed her her tea. She was unsure but she put a five down for a tip anyway. "So, are you going to sing next," she asked Jaden taking a sip of her tea.
  6. Consistent! Unfortunately, Growth only lowers Thyr's defence by 1. So you still miss him. Everyone else make saves! Thyr (Big Dude), Unaffected. Kisho (Meditator) DC 25 Toughness: 1d20+7 18 Failed by 7. Another Bruise (-3 to non-lethal) and Dazed. Farlees (Crossbow) DC 25 Toughness: 1d20+9 18 Failed by 7. Another Bruise (-2 to non-lethal) and Dazed. Raisa (Onyx Woman) DC 25 Toughness: 1d20+3 18 Failed by 7. Bruised (-1 to non-lethal) and Dazed. Chraz (Dragon Person) DC 25 Toughness: 1d20+7 12 Failed by 13. Bruised (-1 to non-lethal) and Dazed and Staggered. Why names? I dunno, flavor. @Heritage. Do the thing.
  7. Max's warmth became a sensual heat. There was no way to avoid feeling what she was feeling. No more words need be said. They experienced this before, but it was a loveless carnal going through the motions. In Hell. This however, they were fully aware of their actions. It may have been a little bit less weird here, but it felt natural. Their passions flowed freely and more intimately. From one side of his home to the other. The two had the endurance both physically and mentally to make this last a while. Eventually falling asleep in each other's arms. She was the first to wake up. They shared a sheet and nothing else. She smiled, "well, i guess we can start that tattoo another time," she whispered to herself. Sitting up, she kissed him on the forehead. First times - she counted this as their first time, Hell was not - were always memorable to her. A bond was made between them. Moira always felt this bond with the people she loved. And it would take something heinous to break that bond.
  8. Scion Charging Dragon Person, Accurate Attack +2: 1d20+8+2+2 25 Dragon Person DC 25 Toughness: 1d20+7 17 Failed by 8. Bruised and Dazed. @Zeitgeist Blue Your turn. Round 1 of 7 Then it will be up to @EternalPhoenix.
  9. Olympian training came in handy when dealing with these kind of attacks. Ares treated all of his students the same while fighting. If you survived, then you learned. If you died, you were weak and undeserving of the fight. Outside of combat, he was... not 'better', just different. Scion used her father's training to power through the brutal blows of the swordsman. By the time he was done, Spitfire had bounded in to distract the warrior. Scion looked to the onyx woman. On top of her robes was a ghostly aura that formed into archaic armor and shield. Her fights against mystics in her own realm, Scion knew she would be hard to damage. Though she saw something worse. The dragon person touching the ranged warrior and her being picked back up to full health. Healers were dangerous for any team that didn't have them. She lined up her mark with a point, "get the healer down," she shouted to her people. Slamming into the dragon person, she knocked them about, throwing them off their mark.
  10. There's no way he can beat that. Huzzah. My turn.
  11. Big Dude Attacking Scion: 1d20+13 32. Autofire beats her by 14. Sword crits on a 19. DC 32 toughness for Scion. DC 32 Toughness: 1d20+13 16 DC 32 Toughness (Reroll): 1d20+13 23 I noticed after rolling these, that I put 13 instead of 12. So the first one would be, 3+12=15, failing by 17, which would put her at unconscious and dying. The reroll would be 10+12+10, which would hit 32 exactly. Meditator Unarmed at Pacer: 1d20+8 23. Misses. Crossbow Stunned for this round and Staggered until that gets cleared. Onyx Woman Uses Growth on Big Dude. Dragon Person Uses Healing on Crossbow Recovery Check: 1d20+3 22 Everyone get a HP for that.
  12. GM The big man spat a curse after Scion and Pacer failed to hit him. When Grimalkin disappeared, he spoke one word of anger, "witches." He looked at the onyx woman with a leering scowl pointing to his eyes and then to her. Then he directed his attention towards Scion, the only one near him. Raising his sword, he grunted, "why are all the pretty ones dumb and evil?" He didn't wait for an answer. His flurry of swords tore into her with the skill of a practiced surgeon, hitting several vital spots, but the robe, seemed to deflect every thrust into her. The Meditator finally stood and looked at Pacer. "You're quick, cultist," he said jumping down from the wagon with a full somersault before landing, " but let's see how fast you are when you," he threw a punch, but Pacer was too quick for him. "Touche." The woman who originally had the crossbow dropped her axe after Pacer slammed into her. She didn't even notice that rope and Grimalkin had disappeared. Looking around, to catch her bearings. She grunted, trying to make herself look imposing, but it failed as she swaggered a bit. Raisa looked at the big man's disdain with an eye roll and a scoff. "Don't worry, Thyr," she smirked when he failed to fell Scion with his attack, "I'll remember this little incident at camp tonight." She chanted again, in her magical language, "Grow to the size of an ogre," she walked over to the big guy and he got even bigger! The dragon person kept their cool under pressure and went over to the crossbow woman, touching her forehead and offering a prayer again. They looked to the hide-covered warrior, "are you better now?" She nodded. They smiled in only the way a person with a dragon head can smile, "good."
  13. The piece was smaller than she thought it would be, enough to hide under a shirt. Only a few people would see it. He was right, the whole unblemished canvas would be long gone. But she felt that it was worth it. Angel, Lynn, Stesha, and Max would be with her forever in some form. That's what she wanted. She nodded as he explained his part, though out of the corner of her eye saw him look away from her. She smiled. That whole thing about them. They had been close. Close enough for her to have ink of him from him. She stood up and walked over to him "Max," she said hugging his chest, looking at him intently, "thank you. I know you probably hear that from a lot of people. But I mean it. Thank you." She rested her head on his neck, "if not for you I wouldn't have got through some things." she rested her head for a few seconds before looking up at him, "the whole Hell thing was intense. But you've supported me in other ways. As a hero and as a friend." She softly kissed his cheek, and laid her head back on his neck, "so from the bottom of my heart, thank you."
  14. Yasmin looked at the drinking establishment from the outside. The perpetual smile on her face a little weather beaten from over the years, but still there! Not like she wanted to drink or anything. But it was her twenty-third birthday. She'd never been to a bar before. So why not now? Not that she wanted the alcohol. Not that she needed it either. Hero appreciation and singing. That's what she wanted. And maybe some companionship. you could always make a friend. Well, here she was. Dressed in a sleeveless, ankle length, white, silk gown. Her arms crossed. Still looking at the place from the outside. Not that she feared going inside. She saw several heroes go inside. She could have assumed her hero form. But the whole equine thing would probably be more trouble than it was worth. She took a few steps towards the door. Each one slower than before. Putting her arms down, she took a deep breath and walked in the door. There were lots of people here! Great, she thought, awesome! Lots of people to connect with! She showed her ID to the person at the door. Looking around, there was a bunch of people she knew from their exploits. She made it a thing to know people. She went through the crowd. Not that she was highly visible in this crowd. here were heroes here. Miracle Girl. Spitfire. Asad. Many others. Tonight no one would know that they were talking to The Unicorn. She was Yasmin for now.
  15. Moira says "that's 8pp in all" But since you rolled 23 its fine. Again, do remember in the future to stat powers before rolling for Ritualist.
  16. Telepathy is mind Reading and Communication Linked together. So you have Communication 10 (Extras Linked [Mind Reading]; Flaws: Distracting, Feedback; Drawbacks: Noticeable) [3pp] Mind Reading 10 (Extras: Linked [Communication]; Flaws: Distracting, Feedback; Drawbacks: Noticeable) [3pp] Active effects are noticeable by default. Sensory effects are noticeable by default. Noticeable is not an appropriate drawback for either power. I've been told by people who know more than me that this is OK Do note with feedback on two powers you'll have to make two toughness saves if the target is hit.
  17. @Heritage Your turn! You can use Extra Effort to knock off the Staggered. But then you would be fatigued until you spent a HP!
  18. You missed the Big Dude and The Onyx Woman. The rest however... Meditator DC 25 Toughness: 1d20+8 23 Bruised again, -2 to all nonlethal attacks Crossbow DC 25 Toughness: 1d20+10 12 Failed by 13. Staggered and Stunned. Dragon Person DC 25 Toughness: 1d20+7 27 Passed.
  19. Excuse me, 9 ranks. Attack+Effect=PLx2. That and we don't go above +5 effect per house rules. +3 to hit, +15 ranks.
  20. You have +3 to hit and are PL10. So yo'll have to take 3 ranks off of it.
  21. Mind Reading is a Perception Range effect with a save. It's limited in ranks to your PL
  22. Artificer, Inventor, and Ritualist go like this. Stat power you're looking to make. Roll knowledge for research. Roll craft for making object (or knowledge again for ritual) Then spend time making. Jury rigging just removes the roll knowledge for research, adds +5 to the making roll, and turns hours into rounds. I'll allow what you've done for now, but keep this in mind for next time.
  23. I'm pretty sure you have to state what you're making before rolling. Ritualist is not a variable.
