i think i goofed when calculating, the reaver's dc block. at the rank corrosion currently is, it maxes out at a +4 DC from autofire. therefore, the max should be listed as: corrosion [normal] (MAX DC 18 fort DC 27 toughness) the fort save does not increase since it has come to light that auto fire only applies to one aspect of the power (strike or drain) EDIT: also can you edit the actually power to explicitly state that the autofire only applies to the toughness save DC Done by Sandman XI

if you put autofire on the corrosion power, does it apply to both the fort save and the toughness dc? or does it apply to only one of them? also if you power attack with this power does the bonus apply to both saves or to just one? if you crit does it apply to both saves or just one? i was under the impression that if any effects boosted the power of corrosion it boosted both saves since both drain and strike are bonded together under the corrosion power. anyone know the answer?

um... i thought autofire would apply to both, but if that is the case then SURE! have the autofire apply to the toughness dc rather than both that and fort. though... i did run that DC block edit by the good doctor on the character update forum and he put it in there himself so i don't know whether it is wrong or not. ill post on campaign discussion and see what turns up. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1677 recap reaver vpx1 abs(eng)regen gecko hpx2

As the fallen hero slid off the end of the laser swords, Jack turned to the teller once again. The mask on the suit retracted, and jack had a crazy look in his eyes. It did feel good, he decided. Open the vault doors! I will NOT be asking again! The police eventually arrived on the scene... but they could do nothing to stop jack from walking out of there. the suit had already gone so far as to absorb a few bags of money and valuables into itself before jack walked out the front door. The machine guns the police had did nothing to his armor, and as it proceeded to gobble all of the bullets up, it spoke once again in Jack's head. Jack like the way the suit sounded. It made him feel like he was the most important person on the planet. and he was sure that before long, he would be. Using the energy gained from the bullets, Jack fired up the suits rocket boosters and flew off to the other end of the city and out of sight of the authorities.

actually, this deserves some retconning. due to the reaver's backstory, he refuses to actually deal lethal damage with his beam swords. but your fort save was an 18 and when compared to the dc of 27, that actually means that you fail by 9, meaning your toughness save drops by 9 from a 7 to a -2. you can reroll your toughness save if you wish. though i don't think it is going to make much of a difference. against a 32 you need to make a roll of 25 on the die to remain conscious. so you can continue with the wake up rolls, but ill go and rob the bank anyway. :D

The mask retracted from the reaver suit as jack turned to look at his assailant. Actually, The Reaver found me. The mask then covered his face again. Two energy blades formed out of his forarms, and the reaver ran at the poor little gecko in front of him... --------------------- As we rejoin our heros... Charging forward with his energy blades drawn, The reaver takes a mighty slash at the geckoman. The blow connects, and for a moment, seems to rock the gecko's world!

but it is rare enough that common people won't know what it means. and the description would fit... (thanks for the reaver update btw)

This is the out of character thread for High Tech Troubles, a fight between The Reaver (quotemyname) and Geckoman (Ecalsneerg). Geckoman tries to stop The Reaver as he attempts to steal some high technology from one of the plants in Hanover. These threads will be self run. Remind me why we are here again? Jack grumbled into the suit as he stalked through the alleyways. Jack stepped slightly out of an alleyway to gaze across the street at a production plant. The plant specialized in creating space-aged metal alloys. The mask of the suit retracted from Jack's face so that he could get a better look at his surroundings. Okay, now what? The mask closed over Jack's face once again, and he strutted out across the street. Within a matter of seconds, the two guards at the front gates lay incapacitated, and the gate itself was in shambles, thanks to his beam swords. Jack was once again a part of the suit. He gave himself up to the interface. He became part of the machine...

that actually sounds like it might be a good fight. we can put this after the bank scene in terms of my continuum.. (i started that thread last night.) will you be using your flying gecko ship?

jack stepped out of the elevator of the high rise building in the inner city. He had finally managed to get a decent job again. He did not want to lose this one. He looked longingly at the briefcase he held in his hand. Walking down the isle full of cubicles, jack took a turn into his own. He sat down at his desk, booted up the computer, lay his briefcase down on the desk and gave it yet another longing look. Its only a few hours, Jack he said to himself You can go a few hours without that damn suit...It will be good for you. He sighed, and prepared himself for the temptation that lay ahead. He flipped open both of the clasps on the briefcase, and opened the top. The briefcase gave off a soft green glow that lit up his face as he gazed upon the Reaver suit module which lay inside. Jack could hear the voice in his head, and he knew that nobody else could. It still creeped him out sometimes. No. I need this job. Shut up. Jack grabbed a folder full of papers out of a pocket on the inside of a pocket in the briefcase and slammed the top of the case shut. The green glow faded. Every day was so hard. He welcomed the release that he felt when he donned the suit at night. It made him feel so free. But he needed this job. He could not let the suit dominate his life. Jack looked at his briefcase longingly...
