Realizing that nothing is happening and the short girl with brown hair was now staring at her, Kizzy quietly walked away from the machine. She walked over to the television and flicked it off before plugging her iPod into the nearby stereo system. She flicked it on and sent a barrage of odd, club music through the room before retreating again to the couch. When the two girls stared at she she glared back and stuck her tongue out--daring them to do or say something. After a few minutes they went back to their ping pong game.

oooh I have an entertaining idea for a News thread then *posted on a school bulletin board* "Anyone know how to fix the stupid pinball machine in Rita Kord basement lounge? If so can you? PLEASE?" etc.

NM I'm just going to make it a device and have it be hard to take off (4 PPs) I know this has been discussed somewhere but could not find it in the character creation rules so I ask: Can you put an array in a container? For example if my PL 6's device has some form of control (Thinking kinetic or lightning) can I have other powers in an array with that thingie? An array means you can only use one power at a time, a container means that they all turn off/on at once, right?

Soo what would you guys reccomend for a gauntlet that can only be removed say like Armory's weapon from the Initiative. It can be removed through surgery but is attached to the user. Device won't fit that, should I just build a standard array? What should I use as the primary thing-a-majig for the array?

The basement lounge area of the Rita Kord Dormitory was fairly empty. It was a weekend and many of the students had gone home for it. The room itself was quite large although not as big as the other dormitory's lounge area. Two couches were pushed up against one wall facing a television airing some re-run of House. The music system was sitting in one corner and was currently off. The rest of the area was made up of a Dance-Dance Revolution machine, a ping pong table, a pinball machine, two vending machines and an old, no longer working version of Pac-Man. A pair of freshman girls were playing ping pong at one table while a third girl stands in front of a pinball machine glaring at it intensely. How come these things never work? I mean, where is all my tuition going? Keira ignores the nagging voice in her head telling her that, well, she really doesn't pay tuition. She looks around to make sure no one is looking and attempts to fiddle with the machine using her powers. No one's really sure how or why they work yet, so maybe she can turn it on using shadow-power? Keira laughs at herself as she viciously pokes the machine with a small tendril of shadow. Unseen by both her and the two girls on the other side of the room, a small shadow flits out from under the machine and darts under the couch.

Awesome I'm going to go ahead and make that then. As for continuity, I already thought of that just wanted to make sure I could have multiple times going at the same time . As a Marvel lover (Ugh? DC? You guys are crazy!!!) It drives me nuts when someone stomps all over continuity. That said, Monsters Under the Bed will occur exactly one week after the events of We Are Legion. No idea when that occured though. Dr. A, if you want, I will gladly go back through my background and provide dates. Little details please me :X

Since the thread I was engaged in seems to have paused for awhile, I was wondering if we were allowed to be engaged in multiple threads? If so, I'd like to start one for Kiera. Her shadow powers still have workings that she doesn't understand and she's accidently constructed several self-aware and malicious little gremlins. They come out at night and plague the Academy with little misdeeds such as misplacing tests, breaking dishes or breaking electronics. Good idea? Yay.Nay?

That would be really cool! Think this strange gauntlet relic attaches to your arm and you just push a button and hope for the best. Bam!

With a snap of the fingers the pitch black darkness fades away, leeching back into the corners of the room and whatever dark dimension it had been pulled from. The murkiness leaves Kiera standing with a skeptical look at the Legionaire and a thin, shadowy tendril extending like a living whip from her right hand. You know, I think your references are a bit dated. He's like, serious about that though isn't he? Poor guy. I wonder what it would be like to be stuck in the future somewhere.. Then with an almost casual action she lashes out with the shadow whip towards the priest in front of the Doctor. Unfortunately it falls far from its target and instead leaves a black scorch mark on the ground to the right.

No fair! You're not supposed to be able to see. Hmph! Try hitting me now. Kizzy scowls at the priests and assumes a defensive posture, whirling her hands around and preparing to deflect and reflect any incoming attacks against her or either of her allies.

I'm okay with you rolling the concealment checks. Glad I could provide a 'spooky' background for the fight hehe. I just hope the Doc and Legionaire don't have too much difficulty from it.

The seemingly normal girl in black skirt and corset walks to the end of the tiled pattern on her left and grins wickedly at the priests. I think it's time for a blackout! She happily shouts out before waving her arms in two circles gathering all the shadows of the room to one place and expanding her own to create an impenetrable darkness 60 ft across centered on herself.

I wanted to make a villain most likely one that would work best alongside another character (being only PL 6 and all) or with others. Now I'm not really sure what types of powers would be helpful for this. My general concept is as follows: An individual who has possession of an ancient relic (either a large-sized chakram/shurkien or a gauntlet) that grants her a small number of useful abilities. She roams the streets on her black kawasaki ninja motorcycle (Just like mine yay!) and performing random acts of chaos. The relic was once the possession of a infernal being (demon, devil, something affiliated to powers?) or an alien race (think witchblade/darkness sort of idea) and encourages the bearer to commit these chaotic actions. sort of a Chaos Incarnate type of character. Anyway, help is appreciated for what types of powers could follow the conept and yet prove useful for aiding another/general a$$kicking.

Keira watches the roman run out of the club and glances over at the doctor. She gives him a shrug and then runs after the man, wanting to look at his shiny bronze armor again. Oh, and the fact that she might be able to do more superhero stuff! What will her parents say when she goes home and tells them? Kizzy creeps in behind the two and looks at the strangely dressed men. Do you think they'll share their masks? I have an outfit that would look lovely with. She then steps behind Legionnaire and stretches out both hands as if they were holding a whip. As she does the few shadows in the temple flow to her hands and form a long, eerily moving whip of dark in her hand. So, Mr. Roman soldier person, who are you? I'm Kizzy. Should I get a superhero name? I want to bust up evil villains too! I'll try not to get in the way.

I'd like to join up but just checking to make sure it's cool with nareik first. Also, I love the use of imagery. I always try to find/make designs for foes but it never seems to turn out well. I'd love to use COH's design but it looks like the download link is no longer operable. I remember trying to dl it a few months ago also. Le sigh.

Kiera glared at the doctor for this tone of voice. Sensing the annoyance of the others she quieted down and looked at them with a forlorn look, hoping her innocent look would encourage letting her go along.

Is this a costume club? Is that real bronze? Oh wow where did you get something like that? Are you going to a new club? Kizzy looks shocked at the Doctor's actions. Isn't that like, evidence? Or something? That's just gross! What if she has AIDS? Keira brushes a lock of hair behind her ear and raises an eyebrow at the roman-looking man. Never heard of the police? That's not really funny. What's the joke in that? I don't get it. Is that some English thing? Are you from the ghetto? Mom told me to avoid people from there but I don't see why I've met lots of nice people when I got lost in the city a few weeks ago. Do you have amnesia? How can you not know how to get home? Or did you have too much to drink? Maybe you don't want to drive home drunk? It's called a taxi, like. I mean come on someone who goes around dressing for a weird roman fetish club has to know a good taxi to call for all those crazy drunken nights!
