  1. My feeling is this will be an entertaining movie, but it will be Watchmen Lite; I like the looks for Comedian, Rorshach and Silk Spectre (even if she's a bit too modern), but I pretty much hate Night Owl and Ozy's looks, way too Joel Schumacher Batman for my tastes. I am happy to hear the Black Freighter sequences will be in the film in animated form. At least The Dark Knight and Iron Man look like they should be fun this year.

    Deja Vu (OOC)

I did the Search check mostly to see if she turned up anything other than a phone, but if you want her to not find a phone due to that lame roll, feel free :P

    Deja Vu

Grim nods. "On it, boss." She turns to start having a look around, but stops herself and rests her hand on a non-injured part of Nightrival's arm. "Thanks for having faith in me; I'm not used to adults sayin' nice things to me, so...thanks, for everything. It's a nice change of pace." She smiles warmly, and then continues her hunt for a phone.

  6. I spent the one hero point I had in another game, so I assume I don't get a new one just because I'm in a new thread, right?

  8. Actually he was more like a clown wearing Ray-Bans, an Armani suit and a silver cape with purple polka dots. He also had roller skates hidden in his italian leather shoes and carried a bulletproof breifcase for protection, and the ability to create a cloud of darkness and shoot weakness rays from his hands (random rolls on the power chart). I played him totally straight, like Batman-meets-Dirty Harry, and he hardly ever told any jokes. As scary a clown as he was, his enemy Lord Ozob (spell it backwards) and his 'Clown Brothers' Circus' were far more sinister; they used to give kids cotton candy that gave them dysentery One of my all-time favorite characters actually, just because he was so bizarre.

  10. Cool. I primarily bought it as a resource for an Aberrant online game set in 2056 in the heart of the Aberrant War (i.e. war between humans and superpowered mutants), probably the best campaign I've ever run. Folks still ask me if I'm ever going to write it up as a free pdf game resource, and I really should. T2000 is definitly cool enough to play by itself, though.

  12. First superhero game I ever played was V&V back in high school, when I drew up Business Clown ('This clown means business' was his catchphrase), who was sort of like a weird meldling of Batman and the Joker - lots of fun! Probably the three games I've played the most are D&D (1e, 3e and 3.5), Ars Magica (3rd through 5th) and Aberrant, but I run a semi-regular Adventure! session at Gen Con as well, and I've played a lot of games once (Toon, Paranoia, Call of Cthulhu). The games I'd most like to play and/or run would be Castle Falkenstein, Space: 1889 and Twilight 2000 (I own all three).

  14. Across the street, Faye is hidden in the doorway of a nearby shop, and activates her 'spectacles' to monitor the situation at the front door before checking in over the comm. "Imp and Dryad are doing a bang-up job of a distraction up front; Ghost, I will move to your position and pick you up." She quickly shifts her focus and checks the pre-scouted spot some fifteen feet from Ghost's position, and finding it free and clear, she ports there, and whispers to the seemingly empty night air, "Ghost, are you there?"

  16. Grim dances back to avoid the crowbar, and decides to show it's owner how mad being attacked really makes her; as usual, she aims her attack at the lowlife's soft underbelly, which isn't actually very soft, since he probably works out.

  20. Oh for the love of... Faye has seen a lot of cop shows and war films, but she's never really been sure exactly what 'covering fire' is, but it always seems to be helpful, so she decides to take a shot at the demon he's grappling; she's a very good shot, so she's not really worried about hitting the wrong target.

  22. Lynn chuckles. "Nah, I never show that much leg on patrol; on a date, maybe, but not the first or second." She nervously takes it like it's a loaded gun; after a few moments, she waves it dramatically a few times, being careful not to point it at either of the others in the room, trying to sense if it's perhaps more than it seems. Lynn nods vigorously, gently holding her stomach. "Yeah, I did feel it, it was weird." She looks down at the wand in her hand, then to Ren. "Do you think that was the wand, or something else? It kinda felt like it was coming from outside."

    Deja Vu

Grim reverts back to her normal self, hands on hips as she shakes her head while looking down at their captive. "I overdid it; I think the accent was too much, and maybe that Nineties kind of scary stuff doesn't cut it anymore." She looks up at her mentor and smiles weakly. "Sorry NR, sometimes I got it and sometimes I don't." She sighs and walks up and down a bit, swinging her arms from side to side, then stops and spins on her heel back to face the older hero. "Hey, I'm sorry if I stepped out of line there, especially not getting the go-ahead on my lame-o-rific attempt to make him pee his pants; I'm not used to working with, y'know, a partner or anything, so I tend to go with my gut, which doesn't always work." She swirls her hands around dramatically. "I like to mix it up, keep the bad guys guessin', which is always a crap shoot; when it works, it's freakin' awesome, but when it don't, smack! No net, right?"
