  1. Also the Golden Age book has a great set of Amry combat rules in the back.
  2. Oh my god, this sounds fantastic! You're players will have a blast, and may end up doing their own campaign stolen, er, borrowed from you idea. I am in complete agreement with you on the fun of props; I brought this creepy-@$$ cat puppet I got for Christmas to Gen Con last time I ran as a prop, and freaked people out. If at all possible, let them keep their character sheets as a fun memento of your game. This is now making me want to run an adventure in my Aberrant War game at Gen Con next year, maybe even adapting it to MnM; it's about a mixed team of talented normals and low powered mutants fighting for a world where both can live together side by side, and eveyone is out to get them. Lots of fun for everyone!

    New Guy

You're asking the wrong guy for math help, but I am curious as to whether or not you're going for a tragic villain (Rogue's early career) or tragic hero (as we know her today).

  6. Hmm, seeing as her pocket can hold 25 tons, it could take her quite sometime to find the right item or person; since her Magic cost extra pp due to Extras, can I just add the Precise extra to this power?

  8. Grim isn't actually very serious in this statement; she has always assumed Pseudo was male because he is referred to as 'he' (as you yourself did above), and she has no idea how Crush's powers work. In fact, I don't think she even realizes that she's using a power per se; what Grim's trying to say is 'your charms don't work on me' in a jocular fashion, and she will make it very clear once she gets outside in the cafe that she is not Pseudo. Basically she's messing with The Crush's head and has no intention of spreading false rumors about one of the Freedom League. edit: If I should change this for any reason, let me know.

  10. I will describe what the inside of the dimensional pocket looks like once someone enters it. ;)

  12. The redheaded mercenary nods. "Right, so. I have just the thing." She crouches down, fingers twisted in odd configurations as she makes a few furtive gestures, and calls forth a paper-thin black disk about three feet across, edged in crimson light and floating about an inch above the ground. She points to the inky black center and jerks her head. "Right, in ye go, and don't touch anything that happens to drift within reach, or I'll have yer eyes out."

    Deja Vu

The young vigilante nods and grins as she calls in the report, disguising her voice slightly not by any use of powers, but by simply adopting a bad Southern accent and a somewhat higher pitched voice. "Thank you, m'am." When she finishes the call, she spins and whips the phone like a fastball right at the wall, smashing it to pieces; she thrusts both fists in the air like she just won the pennant before turning back to Nightrival with a sudden look of sharp regret. "Oh crap, should we have kept that?"

  16. So Red Queen has 10 ranks in Dimensional Pocket, which means it can hold up to 50,000 lbs of material; removing or replacing items is a move action, so it sounds a bit like the classic 'bag of holding' from D&D, i.e. you always find whatever you need when you reach in. I'm interested in using her DP as a way to carry folks into places (i.e. the museum we're about to rob), but I don't want them to die of suffocation and I'm not sure if there's supposed to be an actual room or what on the other side. In other words, assuming she can carry folks safely, what would they see in there, and would they be able to see and/or talk to each other? I'm guessing I have a little freedom in terms of actual description, but I need to understand the FC-approved characteristics first.

  18. Ah, the old Tidy Bowl trick gets 'em every time. I just had Grim use her one HP for this thread to shake off the effects of her Fatigue from last round, hence the dramatic bit about 'last reserves of strength.' :super:

  20. 'Pseudo' sags against the wall as the full effect of her little stunt settles over her body like bags of wet sand. Wow, that last punch really took a lot out of me, but I can't afford to lie down on the job now. What is she...oh, she is not batting her eyelashes out of this one. Summoning up her last reserves of strength, Lynn pulls herself together, squares her shoulders and walks right up to the newcomer with a big ol' smile on her face. "I'm sorry, sweetie; I'm an alien and I'm gay." She then precedes to drive her claws into the bimbo's gut.

  22. Lynn practically has to bite her tongue to keep from laughing; her teen mom (ew!) sounded almost exactly like her older sister Eddi when she got sent to her room...and maybe a little bit like herself a few years ago, come to think of it. As far as the mirror goes, she studies it carefully. "Well, we might as well try the trick; if it doesn't work, we can see what that weird tugging thing was all about. Here, can you guys pull it away from the wall, and maybe hold it up if it doesn't stand on its own? I need to be able to tap both sides with the wand." Using a little bit of her own magic, Lynn conjures up her take on Al-Kazar's costume, which owes a lot more to Barbara Eden and Princess Jasmine than to anything her great-grandfather Ira ever wore; it's got curled toe slippers and puffy silk pants, but out of respect to Louis only her arms are bare. She adjusts her golden turban, and continues to wave the wand in gentle arcs as she goes over the steps of the act in her mind.

  24. My feeling is this will be an entertaining movie, but it will be Watchmen Lite; I like the looks for Comedian, Rorshach and Silk Spectre (even if she's a bit too modern), but I pretty much hate Night Owl and Ozy's looks, way too Joel Schumacher Batman for my tastes. I am happy to hear the Black Freighter sequences will be in the film in animated form. At least The Dark Knight and Iron Man look like they should be fun this year.
