  1. I think one scene that my villain will be involved with will have started and ended during the time that another scene, which precedes it entirely, is going on. But to be fair, time travel is involved...
  2. Nope. You have your first approval.
  3. We're nearly there. There's two things in his powers that still need to be fixed. 1) There's no way to Obscure the tactile sense within M&M. Even if you surround someone with a thick fog, they can still feel it. While there might be some descriptors that would numb a target, by the book, Obscure only works against sight, hearing, smell/taste, and mental senses. The easiest thing there is to just say the Obscure is only against visual, in which case it has a rank of 8. 2) For your Regeneration, you only get to choose two conditions for 2 pp, which your Limited flaw reduces in cost to 1 pp. You could have Bruised 1 and Staggered 1, or Injured 1 and Unconscious 1, or any mix of those. Even then, you'd only get Regeneration 2 (Limited: Only while underwater), and the power feat Diehard. I think the current "4" is a typo.
  4. Or even start a new one. Closing now.
  5. Angelica and ecalsneerg, while we appreciate your enthusiasm, it's easier if we keep the posts in the character threads limited to the character's creator and the referees. If you see something incorrect on a sheet, you can PM the player directly to help out. There are some things that still need to be corrected, however. * It looks like you costed attack and defense as 1 pp/rank. They're actually 2 pp/rank, which means that you're 9 pp too cheap there. * The maximum tradeoff that we allow is +4/-4. His Toughness is currently +15, while it can only be +14 to start. * His grapple modifier should be +22 with all his powers. * He only has 15 pp spent on saves now. The pp spent on Protection goes under the Powers header. * I currently count 52 ranks of skills, not 48. There's also no need to say what Drive is for; it applies to all land-based motor vehicles. * He currently has 56 pp of powers, including 12 from the Protection 6 (Impervious). * Regeneration doesn't really do anything here. He doesn't need a bonus to his recovery checks because his Con modifier is so high, and you didn't pick what damage condition the other part applied to. The big challenge is to lower the number of points you have spent right now. Let me offer some suggestions. 1) Lower the Fortitude save a bit. Putting it at +12 means he's still very likely to beat Fortitude saves at his PL, and it gives you 3 more points to use. 2) Cut out the Knowledge skills (but hear me out), and then take Eidetic Memory or Jack of All Trades. Either feat allows you to make those Knowledge checks untrained, and Warren has a good enough Int modifier to make it worthwhile still. That saves a couple of points. 3) Cut Regeneration, for the reasons noted above. He shouldn't need it much with his high Toughness save. This saves 2 pp. 4) Take Leaping as an alternate power of Swimming. This saves 1 pp (yeah, I know, but every little bit helps). 5) Take off the Impervious from your Protection, and lower its rank by 1 (so that you're not over the tradeoff). This saves 7 pp. Even with these suggestions all taken, you're still a point or two over, but that's probably reducing skills or some of your attributes. You know better than I do which of them are most important to your concept.
  6. I guess not this time, eh? Velocity, it looks like the Emissary could use your help in getting the mugger delivered to the police (in other words, a reason for you to stop by and chat a little).
  7. Sometimes, what they say is true. You can never find a cop when you need one. There isn't so much as a bike cop within sight (even Emissary's sight, which is positively telescopic). He'll probably have to take him into a station, or at least find a patrol car. The woman that he saved walks up to him. "Thank you so much for rescuing me... Captain Wonder?" she says, questioningly. "I don't know what I would have done if you weren't here." "I know what I would have done," the mugger mumbles.
  8. Doctor Archeville's keen eyes pick out a piece of machinery with way too many power lines feeding into it to be anything but a junction box capable of powering a small third-world country, or a node of a power suppression system. As he pretends to fiddle with his gear, the villains make themselves busy. White Knight takes a vicious looking stun rifle from the wall, while the other super-villains re-arrange their unconscious burdens so that they carry them with one arm, then put a pistol in the now-free hand. White Knight walks over to the one super-villain with stretching powers. His kidnappee is still awake. After White Knight fiddles with the setting on the rifle, he shoots her at point-blank range. The nurse falls unconscious. She's still alive, Dr. Archeville can tell, but it was also clearly overkill.
  9. Magister begins to walk deeper into the alleyway. He seems to know exactly where he's going. Rant follows him, and after a moment, so does Grimalkin. "Come on, Ren," she says, blinking the tears out of her eyes. "It's time we go meet my half-sister... God, I don't even know what we are. It's like she's me." At the same time, Icarus and Changeling move toward the others. The two groups meet at either end of a long alleyway, filled with filth overflowing the dumpsters. The smell is horrendous, and both Grimalkin and Changeling wrinkle their noses in disgust with identical expressions. Icarus raises up one of his hands in greeting to Nanowire. He's in his street clothes, it seems, and his face is clearly visible. He looks sheepish as he says, "Hey there. I don't know what happened. It's like I blacked out and woke up a hundred feet in the air. Changeling, meet Grimalkin and Nanowire. Guys... this is my daughter."
  10. Looks like this thread closed up quick. Any objections to my locking it now?
  11. Icarus hesitates before shaking the other villain's paw, but after a moment, he realizes that it's not like he's actually touching it. The gauntlets on his armor can get washed under the rig before he touches anything, and it's better to have a potentially non-psychotic villain on his side if he should need any help with his own schemes. He makes sure not to crush the fox-boy's hand, then watches as he runs off. "Well, looks like I do have a little time to myself after all," he says to the thin air. Closing his eyes, he floats a few feet off the ground. It looks much like he's in an invisible hammock. This is probably the safest place that he could relax, thanks to the truce and the lack of heroes, and after his last flight, he very much needs it.
  12. You can reappear when you want to. Sooner's better, because the earlier you return, the more chance you have to play... and as a bonus, it might provide Dr. Archeville with a distraction to try to re-engage the controls to the power dampeners that he just found (yep, that's a hint there Dr. A  ).
  13. It does, which would explain why she was able to sneak away so easily. Running across an insect or rat would let her effectively disappear. I'm fine with either an insect or rat being around as you went through the prison.
  14. Such powers are allowed at GM discretion. Gadgets has been allowed for one character thus far and is not specifically precluded.
  15. Ah, no, I had misread it the first time. I'll just assume that Nightrival wasn't clear when explaining it to Hub, so that the confusion is IC instead of OOC.
  16. Obviously, the main fight hasn't started yet. I wanted to set the scene and give a chance for Velocity to come across the Emissary before starting with the big guns. It also gives the Emissary a chance to lecture a criminal who might go on the straight and narrow, and I couldn't pass that up. :)
  17. The new thread is up in Parkside. It can be found here.
  18. Liberty Park abuts one of the most upscale portions of Freedom City, but even it isn't free of crime. Unfortunately for the would-be mugger, the Emissary happened to be overhead on one of his patrols when the attack all went down. An ordinary human versus a superpowered paragon of an advanced civilization would be no contest. For once, the criminal realized this and surrendered immediately, no violence needed.
  19. I'll need a Notice check from Dr. Archeville, with a +2 synergy/circumstance bonus for his ranks in Knowledge (technology). Nareik, it's totally up to you whether you'd like to be there still.
  20. The armored villain shakes his head. "I've been traveling all night, and my sense of time is all out of whack. I had to take the long way back here to avoid the radar installations. There has to be an easier way around them, but I haven't found it yet," he says. Icarus takes a step back and looks through a hole in the structure. Clouds cover the stars, but there's enough light outside to tell him what he needs to know. "Looks like sunrise is still a couple hours away. You should have more than enough time to make it to your meeting."
  21. Kevin's not really worried about the possible "drug den" that Nightrival has found. Really, compared to a lot of the other drugs in this city like zoom and max, weed is nothing. He had mostly come for a chance to hang out, and on the off-chance that there's more trouble than what the experienced crimefighter anticipates. "But he didn't say anything about this," Kevin mumbles to himself. "It's like you can't go anywhere any more without some two-bit hood ruining it." His eyes go back and forth, looking for an out-of-the-way place to change into his uniform. He's pretty fast with it, only needing to remove his street clothes and pull on the hood and gloves. Even so, he doesn't want his clothes getting stolen while he fights crime. The irony would be almost as painful as the loss of his keys and wallet.
  22. Nareik! Welcome back. You came back just in time to be inserted back into the narrative without any of the villains noticing. If you want to have been doing something sneaky between the infirmary and the armory, just let me know.
  23. Icarus nods to the young villain, "Even through the mask, I can smell it. Next time I see him, I'll bring one of those car air fresheners, one of the ones shaped like a pine tree." He exhales and sighs, then looks over to him, "Did I get your name? Sorry, you were trying to fade away there while the dark sage or whatever he was was talking."
  24. In that case, would you like to make the thread? Hub and Shadowboxer will be happy to start it off. As it is, as long as Hub isn't unconscious, he can help bring back a team that's on the ropes to full fighting condition.
  25. I'd prefer if someone other than me were to be running the supervillain. It's hard to try to fight on both sides; you're either too easy on yourself or too hard on yourself to avoid being too easy on yourself.
