  1. stinger suffers fatigue to double her movement for one round to bring her 90+ feet away from the battle.

    Bad Habit

Still deaf from the loud burst of sound, Stinger doesn’t hear the teen hero’s protest, but she is surprised when he suddenly flies past her. For a moment, she thinks he’s leaping in front of her to cut off her escape and attack her again, but then she seems him go splat. She looks back over her shoulder just long enough to see the other boy shouting something at her. Not that she can hear it over the ringing in her ears, but it doesn’t really matter since she intends to beat feet regardless of what he is saying. She looks just long enough to see the car beginning to rise before she turns away from them both and gets moving again. She hobbles along as best she can. Although she can’t hear it, she does feel the force of the car’s impact carry through the ground. She focuses past the pain and hobbles faster to get around the corner of a fence and get out of sight. Just as she gets out of sight, the ringer starts to fade and her hearing begins to return. She has no idea how the conflict is going, but she really doesn't care as long as she's no longer part of it.
  3. stinger foregoes her attack to move 30 feet away from breakdown (and emperor too). status: 1 bruise; staggered; deafened

Stinger tries to put some distance between herself and the other combatants. Using the distraction of her energy pulse attack, she tries to beat feet away from the persistent teen hero (and, really, the other guy too). Unfortunately, the hero boy will have none of that and sends a blast of sound at her. Despite being hampered by her back injury, she manages to avoid the worst of the loud noise, but she doesn’t get her ears covered up in time to avoid it entirely. She gets an ear-full of sound that deafens her to the world. While the hero may have deprived her of the ability to hear any sounds around her for the moment, he didn’t hamper her ability to continue on hobbling further away. She holds her ears as she tries to distance herself from the fight.
  5. Stinger peeks through a window into the lobby when she arrives there. She presses her face against it and forms a shield around the sides of her eyes, using her hands to block out any outside glare. She wants to check out the room before she steps in. She looks inside just in time to see the testosterone stare down. It reminds her of how high school jocks test each other on their first day to establish social dominance. She doesn’t notice the invisible girlâ€â€just the armored teenager’s sudden odd reaction. Armored as he was, he was surprisingly agile to do a back flip. She steps away from the window and in through the entrance. Avoiding the commotion, she walks in casually and finds a wall to lean back against. She folds her arms across her chest and rests one foot flat against the wall. She watches the others around her only so much as to be alert of any trouble directed her way.
  6. stinger is a 92pp character with 0pp unspent (the sheet lists her as having 2pp unspent). please change the following power: from: Blending 1 (Total concealment from normal vision) [2pp] to: Blending 1 (Total concealment from normal vision; Flaws: Passive) [1pp] with the 1pp left over, please add the following feat to her Move-By Action and adjust her points appropriately (total feats cost: 10pp instead of 9pp; total powers cost: 35pp instead of 36pp) the pp summary line changes from: Costs: Abilities (14) + Combat (16) + Saves (9) + Skills (8) + Feats (9) + Powers (36) - Drawbacks (0) = 92 to: Costs: Abilities (14) + Combat (16) + Saves (9) + Skills (8) + Feats (10) + Powers (35) - Drawbacks (0) = 92 thank you =) DONE BY SHÆNTHEBRAIN
  7. so she has to make a dc16 ref save for the area effect to see whether she has to make a dc 16 or 13 ref save against the auditory dazzle. okay. i'll wait until after the emperor's post to roll the results =) as far stinger is concerned, she just wants to leave the fight. she's only attacking him because he won't stop attacking her =)
  8. is he in 'dance form' and using his sonic control to attack? isn't that an area auditory dazzle instead of a damaging attack? just seeking clairification. also, not sure why he keeps attacking stinger when he has a far more powerful opponent to deal with and she is just trying to leave the fight. is this part of a plan of is to try to gain some leverage against the more powerful foe? just curious.
  9. Stinger brushes a thick lock of hair out of her eyes. It’s black with a large, purple highlight. The blonde roots of her hair are visible to a sharp eye. Curious now, she says, "Hellion? That doesn’t sound like a good guy name. What’s up with that? And why do you have those demon things after you? You take something from them?" She requests a glass of sweet tea to drink. Stinger keeps her arms lying across her chest while she waits for her drink and the pizza to arrive.

  11. an idea i had is that when a person chooses a villain character, they get 2 for 1. so a player could create 1 pl6 hero and 1 pl10 hero, or 1 pl6 hero and 2 pl10 villains, or 2 pl6 villains and 1 pl10 hero, or 2 pl6 villains and 2 pl10 villains. the player chooses which villain of the pair they start off getting to play, but when that villain goes to jail, they switch to playing the other villain of the pair instead. when the second villain of the pair goes to jail, the first villain of the pair manages to escape jail. this way the player always has an active villain to play, but the individual villains can be out of action for a while serving jail time. this gives the hero player more villains overall to interact with while letting the hero put a villain in jail for some time while still letting the villain's player continue to play without waiting. as far as pp rewards go, when a villain character in a pair gains pp, each character in the pair gains that pp. this way the player isn't penalized for playing a pair of villains instead of a single hero and the villains stay even with the heroes in terms of power gained (and therefore remain an equal challenge).
  12. Stinger jerks as the voice back past her feet surprises her, but she continues on the rest of the way inside the window anyway. When she turns around, she is surprised to see a winged girl outside. She says, "Mind your own business, Angel Girl." Thinking quickly, she shuts the window down to separate them and flips the window lock. She asks, "What now?" She smiles tauntingly.
  13. since breakdown's defense is currently (17-5=) 12, stinger's attack hits. it only hits by 1 point, so it's not enough for her autofire to increase the damage dc. dc21 bruise bruise damage.

    Bad Habit

The seemingly relentless hero boy is suddenly upon Stinger again, despite her best efforts to flee the conflict, but he doesn’t catch her off guard. When his powerful kick comes at her head, the nimble girl turns away and flexes back to pull her face away from his oncoming kick. While his foot still manages to make contact with her cheek, his shoe slides across her skin and it only cause a minor abrasion. The ailing teen has had enough of the hero attacking her. She shouts, "All right, Jerk-Face!" and then exclaims, "Mess with a wasp; get stung!" Before she can recover her balance, she points both hands out at him and lets loose a barrage of energy bursts at him.
  15. Still looking away, Stinger replies, "Or maybe...I’m just a bad girl." Despite her apparent protest at being there, her tone of voice is almost teasing when she replies. She looks directly at him and answers, "Stinger." Her arms remain folded across her chest. Since she’s going to be here for a while anyway, she feels she might as well speak to him. She inquires, "So what was the deal with those monster things, anyway, Firebug?"
  16. stinger is out of sight, taking cover behind a car.

Just when Stinger thinks she’s in the clear, the hero boy sudden rushes towards her and sends another sonic wave through the air. Though hampered by her back pain, she manages to roll aside at the last moment so that the force of the attack barely grazes her. Although she just wants to leave, the boy doesn’t seem willing to let her go. Angered by the boy’s relentlessness, she scowls and raises her hands back towards him as if to retaliate, but she sees the sudden wave of force rushing towards her, flipping cars and trashing most everything in its path. She cries out, "Oh, crap!" and quickly ducks behind a car adjacent to her.
  18. she took a move action on each of her last two turns to move away from the conflict.
  19. stinger is now 60 feet from breakdown (and therefore 65 feet from emperor).

As the situation between the two guys heats up, Stinger takes the opportunity to further distance her self from the fray. She’d all-out rabbit, but her back hurts too much. She hobbles further away as best she can.

    Bad Habit

Just as the stranger is approaching, Stinger answers the teen hero, "Glory. Fame. Thrills. Merchandising." She turns to look at the stranger as he speaks up. His emaciated face and solid white eyes kinda creep her out, but the pain overrides her heebie-jeebies. The blind guys looks to her like he’s not eaten for a week, if not longer. His words though were certain to draw the hero’s attention away from her. As the hero’s attention on her falters, she takes the opportunity to slowly start stepping back away from them both.
  22. Spotting the rich boy waiting for her, she walks inside the entrance. Her arms are folded across her chest and her eyes look down at the floor as if she’s there under protest. She avoids returning his gaze. She replies, "Free food." Her stomach makes an embarrassing hunger noise. A light blush briefly appears on her cheeks as she looks off to one side. After a moment, she heads towards the indicated table with her arms still folded across her chest and sits down on one side of the booth.

Stinger replies to the dancing hero. She says, "Why not? Might makes right doesn’t it? Those with power always use it to do what they want and take from others weaker than themselves. Politicians. Police. Parents. Everyone." She continues to rub her aching back with her hand. She doesn’t notice the visor-wearing teenager when he first enters the scene, but even when he moves into position so that she can spot him, she doesn’t react. After all, she doesn’t recognize him. Maybe he’s just some guy that likes wearing sunglasses at night to try to appear cool. Whatever the case, she has more immediate concerns to deal with than some wandering stranger.
  24. okie - worked out the whys and hows with the emperor's player. the emperor is scouting stinger out on behalf of the head mistress. i'm still not quite sure how she ends up at the academy yet though.
  25. oh, i see. so emperor and stinger first meet here. why does he help her if he doesn't know her? is it because he saw her commiting the crime (attempting to break into the car and steal) and didn't like breakdown stopping her? how does this lead stinger into the shadow academy? does sometime after this head mistress meet up with stinger and bring her into the academy somehow? it makes sense to me that the headmistress would personal bring stinger into the academy (just like professor x personally sought out his students). i'd like to know how it all fits together, but otherwise it sounds good to me.
