When Duncan gestured back towards the bar, Megan nodded and followed along with him. She smiled as he apologized. “It’s okay.†She said. “I wouldn’t really say it was the cheerleading, though we do a number of dances, its more the intensity of the workouts and aerobics classes.†Duncan then asked a question she had been hoping he would bring up. She really did not want to lie to him, so decided that being truthful was likely the best thing to do. “No, not FCU.†She replied, her voice dropping a bit. “I’m actually a Senior at North Bay Academy.â€Â

Velocity looked at the two detectives and gave them a small smile. “We were patrolling around when we heard gunshots and came by to investigate. We saw that big armored thing outside backed up into the front doors of this place, and realized something bad was going down, so we came in to stop the robbery.†She began. She then runs down what both her and Johnny did to stop the robbers.

Velocity dodge the attack of the spider robot as the baby continued to cry. The teen heroine aimed another superspeed punch at the thing, as she kept herself between it and the infant.

“Oh there you are.†Megan said to Janet, relieved to see her friend was okay. “I got jostled all about by the mass of people. What are you talking about?†She asked, as she followed along after the other cheerleader. When she saw the scene, Megan almost laughed, but kept herself from doing so. Even with a bunch of crooks trying to rob them, Janet was still focused on boys and the attempts at backstabbing by other girls. Then Megan just smiled. “She can try all she wants, she doesn’t stand a chance.†With that, the blonde cheerleader walked forward towards them. As she drew near Will, she let a look of relief come to her face. “Oh, there you are. I lost you when everyone began surging to get away. What a madhouse!â€Â

"I usually don't get down to Southside too much, but I'll remember that." Velocity replied. "Nice to meet you as well, take care." She said with a wave, and then was gone in a flash. Speeding back out of the auditorium, she zipped around a bit before doubling back towards the restroom. Accelerating even faster, she vibrated her body so she could pass through walls, allowing her to enter the restroom unobserved. Gathering her things, she was changed back into her cheerleading outfit in a flash, and then quickly made her way out of the restroom. Hurrying back towards the auditorium, she came to the edge of the crowd and started looking around for Will or Janet.

Megan smiled when Duncan mentioned being in the center of things as she lets him lead her towards the center of the dance floor. Once out there, Megan quickly was moving fluidly to the rhythm of the music. She noted that Duncan kept to his own style mainly, which was more than fine. Guys that felt they had to try to match her or copy her were often not that good of dancers to begin with, and unless they were ballroom dancing, it often did not work out well. The young blonde just kept dancing, enjoying the music. She soon noticed Duncan was keeping something of a small buffer space for them, which was a nice change to the normally pressed confines of the dance floor when it was crowded. Megan wasted no time in using the little extra space to really let herself move.

Velocity was about to respond to Nightrival, when a young police officer came over and congratulated them on a job well done. The teen speedster gave him a warm smile as she replied, "Thanks." After he had returned to where the other police were, she focused back on Nightrival. "Well, like I told the reporters, I am always up for working with other heroes, and sharing information on stuff is always nice." Reaching into a pouch at her belt, she pulled out a small business card. "This has the number for the phone number I give out to the police and the like. Probably one of the best ways to reach me."

It has a bit higher bar, but is not restricted outright. I feel, that as a PL 12 heroine, Velocity should have a bit more luck than the average hero. She has used hero points a number of times in threads, so, in many ways, she has been pushing herself beyond whats normal. I have no plans on adding tons of luck or anything, this will be the only rank in the feat.

Well, not a good start Had to use my hero point to reroll the toughness save, and still only got a 19 (the 2 getting 10 added to it), so Velocity is bruised and stunned.
