Rank 11 Area Blast, Reflex & Toughness as appropriate (1d20+6=11, 1d20+11=29) Who's master of the elements here, me or her?

Since attacking the chain didn't work, Equinox is just going to use Aeromancy to crash the damn helicopter already.

Power stunt:

Nullify Flight 12 (Extras: Duration - Sustained [+2]) [24PP] Linked to Super-Movement 1 (slow fall, Extras: Affects Others Only [+0], Ranged [+1]) [3PP] [total 27PP]

Necessary rolls...

Roll to hit, then power check for the Nullify on the helicopter. (1d20+11=23, 1d20+12=13)

Um... Re-rolling the opposed check for a HP! (1d20+12=26)

Somehow I doubt the pilot can even begin to make that Will save, so the helicopter starts falling to the ground.

Weather Mistress: 27, Unharmed, Dazed (Cannonade's Turn), Staggered, 0 HP

Cannonade: 23, Bruised x2, 2 HP

Helicopter/Pilot: 20, Unharmed, Pinned, Grounded, 0 HP

Looking Glass: 21, Bruised x1, Dazed (Ironclad's Action), 0 HP

Ironclad: 17, Bruised x1, 3 HP

Asad: 10, Bruised x1, 2 HP

Equinox: 7, Unharmed, 3 HP

Chain: N/A, Injured, 0 HP

So the helicopter is downed, and we're into Round 3. And what better time for the robots to show up! Three Charibdrones fly in, represented by AA's Empty Battlesuit as written, save that they have Improved Initiative 1 (and thus an Initiative modifier). They go on 24, 20, and 6.

Weather Mistress: 27, Unharmed, Dazed (Cannonade's Turn), Staggered, 0 HP

Charibdrone 1: 24, Unharmed, 0 HP

Asad: 10, Bruised x1, 2 HP

Equinox: 7, Unharmed, 3 HP

Charibdrone 3: 6, Unharmed, 0 HP

Chain: N/A, Injured, 0 HP

Weather Mistress is still knocked for a loop, so Charibdrone 1 goes first, latching onto the vault and attempting to rip into it. And promptly fails. Fiat for reroll, everyone takes an HP. That's better. The safe needs to make a DC25 Toughness save. It gets damaged, and has a good hole torn in it... setting off the Triggered Damage 10 from the ward set up on it. The Charidbrone gets Injured and Dazed.

Weather Mistress: 27, Unharmed, Dazed (Cannonade's Turn), Staggered, 0 HP

Charibdrone 3: 6, Unharmed, 0 HP

Chain: N/A, Injured, 0 HP

Cannonade sees this happen as the helicopter touches down, leaps out, and takes to the sky to tackle Charibdrone 3. He scores a 29. The Charibdrone is Injured in the process. Charibdrone 2, meanwhile, heads over to the vault and starts reaching through the hole, grabbing the bounty.

Looking Glass's Dazed expires at the end of her turn, and Ironclad is up next.

Ironclad's going to go All-Out and try to grapple Looking Glass again. Ironclad's melee attack check w/ +5 All-Out Attack, vs Looking Glass's Def. (1d20+15=35)

For the Crit bonus, I think I'm going to go with a free taser-hand attack. Stun 10 [20PP] Looking Glass has to make a DC 20 fort save on top of everything.

Opposed Grapple. Ironclad's grapple check, vs. Looking Glass' opposed grapple. (1d20+24=35)

She gets caught in the grapple, but makes the save against the Stun.

One of the Charibdrones and the helicopter go inert, the other stays online, and the third goes offline as well.

And we're back at the top of the round. Weather Mistress notices that Asad is the one keeping them on the ground, and unleashes a Perception-Range Blast at him. DC26 Toughness save for Asad. Cannonade responds by attempting to punch out Weather Mistress. But he misses. The Helicopter Pilot can do nothing, as his helicopter is out of juice. Looking Glass, meanwhile, is Bound and realizes she has few options to break the Grapple. So, she uses the mirror hanging in the lobby, and the rear-view mirrors hanging in the helicopter, to get out of Ironclad's grasp and to the roof. She then unleashes her Autofire mirror shard attack, and just misses.

Ironclad is up next.

Here's what she gets:

It looks like this thing was lined for traps, a massive discharge of lightning that would easily kill a mortal man and could recharge over time, ensuring that it didn't run out unless someone was willing to send waves of men into its maw in one go - or one extra-receptive Charibdrone.

We're back at the top of the round, and Weather Mistress is still Dazed. Cannonade decides to go after Looking Glass as a result, beating her Defense on a standard blow. It's a DC25 Toughness save, and she takes another Bruise. The Helicopter Pilot goes nowhere... and Looking Glass makes her escape, taking the shards from her broken mirror and using them to stunt a Teleport 6 (anywhere on Earth, Extras: Affects Others, Power Feats: Progression [Mass] 12 [50,000 lbs.]) in order to drag Weather Mistress, Firebug, the safe and its contents along with her. Everyone gets a HP for the Fiat of escape, and is left with a busted bank, three inert Charibdrones, an abandoned helicopter and pilot, and some stray gold bars.

Combat is over, and I'll get an IC post up as soon as I can.

Here's what Ironclad gets:

It looks like the robots completely wiped their data banks when they were dispatched - a handy little technique. However, the hardware speaks volumes. It is extremely similar to the droids that Talos used to besiege the Centery Bridge back in 2010.

Here's what Asad gets:

The safe is held by Frederick Conti, and has been in the Conti family for close to seventy years. Until today, nobody but the Contis and security knew the contents of the safe - most of the bankers knew it was a fortune, but assumed it was in bonds and currency, not gold. The gold, likewise, looks a bit weird - its luster is more shiny that gold should be, more fool's gold than gold. And there's that strange symbol on the bars - a three-headed dog...
