Elfy Posted September 5, 2009 Share Posted September 5, 2009 stinger only had the one hero point and she already used it, however the stun will go away at the beginning of breakdown's turn before he can act on it. so her dodge and defensive roll will be in effect if he attacks. she's still staggered though and limited to only one action. she's clearly outmatched. if she had a chance to defeat him before, it's highly unlikely she's does now. he seems highly likely to be victorious. what do you suggest we do to help her elude capture? should it be one of these things were there's no proof (his word against her word and no other witnesses/proof) she was trying to steal a car, so the police can't arrest her? or should another (more powerful?) villain (the head mistress of the shadow academy, for instance) intervene to rescue her? should something else happen (an automotive accident nearby?) distract him (someone in danger and needing saved is more important than taking a petty criminal to the police)? You're ideas are all sound ones. If you can get a hold of sand and run the head mistress that would probably be the most interesting. It might even serve to put the shadow academy on the map as far as claremont PCs are concerned. That could open up some interesting possibilities. :) Link to comment

Elfy Posted September 8, 2009 Share Posted September 8, 2009 oh, i see. so emperor and stinger first meet here. why does he help her if he doesn't know her? is it because he saw her commiting the crime (attempting to break into the car and steal) and didn't like breakdown stopping her? how does this lead stinger into the shadow academy? does sometime after this head mistress meet up with stinger and bring her into the academy somehow? it makes sense to me that the headmistress would personal bring stinger into the academy (just like professor x personally sought out his students). i'd like to know how it all fits together, but otherwise it sounds good to me. It make for a better story if someone is looking in on it. Elfy, is that the result of two separate move actions or what? Keep in mind that you can't double-move because you are staggered. The range of the attack is 50 feat from point of Origin all around him, so Stinger is safe (last turn she was 65 feet from his position). Reflex save, DC 20 is required. if failed, then Toughness check DC 25 is then needed. Link to comment

Currently in Ska form: reflex save (no longer demoralized at the start of the turn - no penalty) (1d20+4=7) fail TOU dc 25 (1d20+6=18) fail by 7 Bruised and Stunned. Depending on what Stinger does, I may clear the stunned condition with my final remaining HP when my turn comes up. Link to comment

A +2 All-Out attack cut's the usual penalty to -2 (the penalty is -4 since he's firing into a melee; you attacked stinger). Hit or miss, -2 defense next round. So the Attack bonus is +6: 1d20+6=14 And that's a miss... Move action: Mervyl walking towards Breakdown again. Bold move, but I think Breakdown moving next to Stinger gained him a round of survival.
